“Hurtful,” Suho answers from above, continuing his mission up the wall. He grabs at a pipe, putting far too much trust in a thing not designed to carry even half his weight. 

“She’s not wrong,” Hyunjin adds. 

Suho looks down at you both, halting his progress. “You were both supposed to be here for moral support and instead all I’m getting is hateful chatter.” 

“Hateful is dramatic,” you call back, using your hand to shield your eyes from the afternoon sun. 

Suho refocuses his attention on the climb. “Dramatic…” he grumbles, just loud enough to travel to your viewing spot below. 

Hyunjin nudges your shoulder and offers you a strawberry. “Stole these from Minho,” he says. “They’re good.” 

He’d been distant since the storm, your soulmate. Just not in the way you were used to. It’s not an emotional distance.

Danny decided he needed a vacation. He had recently gotten shapeshifting powers in his ghost form, because ectoplasm could be molded and stretched. The only thing that needed to stay the same was his core. He decided to become a puppy, and live out a few years with a good family. Unfortunately, he got involved in a dog fighting ring, and to keep his cover, had to go along with it. But that didn’t stop him from sending messages to the local bats. He’s rescued along with all of the other pups, and Batman had taken a liking to him. He’s named Ace and brought home with Batman. Bruce quickly found out that Ace (Danny) was scarily good at reading people, and after Ace had broken out of a locked cage and saved Batman more than once, that he now had a sidekick that was his dog. Danny was having his best time being a crime fighting dog.

i am sadly one of those people who are super insicure of themselves after any social interaction, I go over and over again in my head and feel irrationally bad bc my brain tells me I was awkward, and probably came off as weird and so on. But you know what brain? I had the social interaction. I did it. I spoke out loud to people and had a conversation instead of freezing and feeling unable to talk. So fuck it if I came off as weird and awkward, I am weird and awkward and it's okay, because I did something that just a few years ago would have been even more of a struggle, and even earlier than that it would have been close to impossible.

It was a childhood cartoon /media and I have so much admiration for Tove Jansson's illustrations tbh, I wish I had half her skills, I only recently learned that she did illustrations for the hobbit novel omg
