dpxdc twins au except it's no-pulse flavored
Bart’s new roommate looks a lot like Tim.
Like, suspiciously like Tim.
Danny’s the same height, has the same shape of nose, same shade of hair, and even frowns like him. He would have been a perfect copy if he acted more like Tim, but Danny definitely holds himself looser than Bart’s ever seen Tim.
But he still has his face. So, obviously, Bart has to investigate. Maybe he’s a clone, or a shapeshifter, or maybe one of the Gotham rogues decided to get facial reconstruction surgery to look like him, and this was all a ploy.
Okay, probably not that last one. Bart doesn’t think Tim’s enemies know his identity.
Anyway, investigation! Bart’ll figure this out himself, and deal with it if Danny needs to be dealt with. And the investigation will start right after he comes up with an excuse as to why he’s back in their third floor apartment when he passed Danny in the hallway a few seconds before.
Danny stares at him, and Bart stares back.
“Must’ve been a doppelganger!” Bart blurts out.
Danny’s silent for a second before nodding enthusiastically and noting that everyone's supposed to have like seven in the world anyway and wow what a wild coincidence that there’s one in their building.
Bart extends the same courtesy when a week later he walks in on Danny with an iced over pan on the stove. Danny says they should really get their freezer checked out and Bart agrees and asks if he can use the ice for a painting study.
(They never get their freezer checked.)
Bart finds that Danny’s great at setting up fun things for him to draw, whether he knows it or not. Like the ice, or his collection of rocks, his astronomy textbooks with the pretty covers, his gestures as he rants about his classes, the excited glint in his eyes when he’s talking about his next repair project and how his eyes almost look like they glow in the right light.
Hm. A good portion of his sketchbook is drawings of Danny, and yet he’s still having trouble with getting the right blue for his eyes. At first glance they’re Tim’s shade of blue, but when he keeps looking they seem to get lighter. Maybe greener?
He should probably stop staring into his friend’s eyes.
Well, maybe not. Danny doesn’t seem to mind.
Just like he doesn’t mind when they started regularly sitting very close on the couch, or falling asleep together, or Bart borrowing some of his jackets, or-
Okay, Bart’s kinda seeing a pattern. He and Danny should really have a conversation about if this is platonic behavior or not.
But not right now, because Bart brought Danny across the river to raid Wally’s board game closet in Keystone.
And Wally, who’s used to this, just passes by them with a, “Hey Bart, hey Tim.”
“Danny, not Tim,” Danny replies almost absent mindedly, then looks back at Wally, who’s also staring at him now. “Wait, you know Tim?”
“OhmyGod I was supposed to investigate!” Bart says, face palming. It just slipped his mind! And Danny was distracting him with his pretty face that he totally wears better than Tim!
“You know him too?” Danny asks. But he doesn’t look suspicious of them, more amused.
“How do you know him?” Wally squints at Danny, eyes briefly catching Bart’s in question.
“He’s my twin,” Danny answers easily. “The Drakes only wanted one kid, so they gave me to their friends the Fentons, who wanted a second one.” He shrugs and goes back to digging around the closet. “Tim and I were always in contact, though. Letters and phone calls and texting, you know?”
He says it all so casually while Wally and Bart are sharing increasingly concerned looks behind his back.
Do the Waynes know about Danny? Has Tim never brought him up? Why? Does Danny know about Red Robin? Does Tim-
“Holy shit does this mean Tim has ice powers too!?”
Or: Tim and Danny are twins. Through a series of coincidences, the first people to find out that aren’t Fentons or Drakes are the flashes.

DP x DC prompt #96
Instead of the ghost portal turning into Danny into a halfa, it traps him in the ghost zone.
Years later, the Justice League is trying to stop a cult from summoning some entity, but they're surprised to find a young adult come out, looking like he came from an apocalypse.

Jason was having a normal night in Crime Alley when it happened.
A lone glowing meta came floating through, almost stumbling in the air if that was possible. It only took a few seconds of swaying and giggling for Hood to put the pieces together. "Kid. Are you drunk?"
The kid turned his Lazarus green eyes towards him and the Pit Water inside him stirred. Ok, maybe not a meta. "Nooo.." the kid slurred, making Red Hood cross his arms in a show of disbelief
"I'm telling the truth! My mom shot me and then everything became blurry and-" the kid let out a series of giggles before suddenly launching himself at Red Hood and strait up hugging the vigilante, muttering something about Hood being so cool and his favorite hero.
Meanwhile Jason thinks Phantom had just recently been murdered and is freaking out.
Bonus points if the Fenton parents shoot at Red and Danny alike a few minutes later

"Stillborn? No, no, still born." -- DPXDC AU
Based off a comment I saw where Bruce knew about Talia's pregnancy in the earlier comivs, and was ecstatic to be a father. So much so that Talia feared he'd give up being Batman for it, so when she gave birth she put the baby (Damian) on a doorstep and (seemingly) told Bruce that the baby was stillborn.
Instead of Damian, that baby was Danny! Meet Daniel Brown, the 14 year old foster kid whose been living with the Fenton family for the last two years. He's about two years older than Damian.
Tumblr media
His last name, "Brown", was a generic surname given to him because the note he came with didn't have one on it. It just had the name "Danyal" on it, but albeit 'Daniel' was the one that had been put into the system for, I'll be totally frank here, racism reasons.
(I looked it up to make sure, and it's generally not permissible for foster parents to change the names of their foster kids even if it's a permanent residency, and for that reason Danny doesn't have the last name "Fenton".)
Danny's got ✨~issues!~✨ He's been through a handful of homes growing up, most of them terrible for a variety of reasons. Which has, as a result, left lasting scars. He's generally a very sweet kid, just very distrustful and jumpy. He's got the signs of a kid suffering from PTSD, and a handful of other issues including attachment and insomnia. His inferiority complex could rival Damian's, and that's going to make for an interesting mutual hatred for when they finally meet.
(something I'll get into later)
He still has the blanket he was found in. It's made of a very high quality material and is a beautiful emerald green with little golden thread accents, it's high quality as a result has Danny clinging onto a desperate hope that his bio family might be out there, and the only reason they gave him up was because of some outside factor. It's been taken a few times in old foster homes, and he's flipped out each time.
While he still calls Jack and Maddie by their names, he likes them well enough. The bar isn't that high though, and while they're some of the better foster parents he's had, "better" doesn't equal "safest". Their laboratory malpractice. Basically, C- Fenton Parents. They're negligent by virtue of being engrossed in their work, but they do care equally about Jazz and Danny. So he doesn't hold it against them that much.
He kinda prefers it that way, their loud affection is overwhelming and Danny doesn't know what to do with their attention, even if he craves it. It's a bit of a complicated situation.
They took in Danny because they genuinely wanted another child, but didn't want a big age gap between them and Jazz. It was actually Jack's idea to foster, and they discussed it with Jazz beforehand. She was all for the idea. Thus, a handful of weeks later, a ton of paperwork, and inspection later, and Daniel Brown entered their household with a trash bag in one hand and eyes like shards of stained glass.
His relationship with Jazz is kinda strained, but that's by virtue of her constant psychoanalyzing and helicoptering. Like with the parents, Danny's overwhelmed by the attention and also just, straight up doesn't like the fact that she's telling him that there's something wrong with him. He knows that, thank you. He pushes her away when she does this.
Other than that though? When Jazz isn't smothering him and is acting like an actual sibling and not a third parent, they're pretty close, and Danny really likes her. They've hung out a few times on their own volition, and Jazz showed him how to take better care of his long hair.
His school situation,, pretty similar to canon with the bullying, albeit with a few more instances of him blowing a fuse and lashing out against his attackers. He's a rather angry kid, but it's quiet. It builds up, piles on top of itself, until eventually, like a volcano, it erupts and burns everyone within radius.
Danny's got a fire core, not an ice core. Phantom's hair is made of white magma; thick and heavy, setting itself on fire when his anger runs hot. When he gets angry, his skin begins to char and split open to reveal pulsating lava underneath, and he crackles and pops like a raging forest fire.
I haven't decided yet on how he meets the batfam -- i've got two ideas but they're both in opposition to each other, and drastically alter how the rest of the plot goes. But I do know that him and Damian hate each other in the beginning. And it has nothing to do with inheritance or "being the blood son" -- although their blood relation absolutely plays the major role in their disdain for each other.
Simply put, they're jealous of each other for the same thing: thinking that the other was wanted.
Damian hates Danny because, unlike Damian, Bruce knew about Danny since conception and wanted him from the moment he heard about him. He had a whole nursery set up, and still does. He never took it down -- just locked the door. Damian was thrust upon Bruce without warning, and he feels like he forced himself into the family. And while on some level Damian knows and understands that Bruce wants him and loves him as much as his other children, that doubt and feeling of inferiority still remains. He looks at Danny and sees him with what Damian always feels he needs reaffirmed.
Meanwhile, Danny hates Damian because he looks at him and sees him with everything Danny's ever wanted. He hates him because Damian grew up knowing both of their parents, with one of them for most of his life, and then moved over to the other. There was never a moment where Damian was (seemingly) left to doubt his place within the family. Damian was raised with the very same woman who left Danny on a doorstep, with no clue to his identity beyond a little green blanket and a note with only a first name. Damian was wanted everywhere, and Danny was wanted nowhere. Damian is Danny's replacement in his eyes.
(It's the little revelation that Damian grew up with their mother that elevates Danny from being quietly envious of Damian to downright despising him. What did Damian do, that Danny didn't? He could live with Damian living with Bruce -- Bruce didn't know Danny was even alive. But him living with their mom? Are you fucking kidding him?)
Damian never outright attacks Danny physically, but it's not like he hides that he didn't like Danny. Meanwhile, Danny, in all his repressive anger, quietly despised him from a distance until finally one wrong snide side-comment has him blowing up and it becomes a screaming match. They're both just enough similar to each other that when they look at each other they really just see a mirror.
They'll work it out together, eventually. But it'll be ugly and cruel and explosive, and they'll start mending the bridge to become brothers in more than just blood relation in the end.
But yeah, stillborn Danny has... a lot going for him.

wrote this in discord for @detectivedarling but I like it too much to just leave it there lol. We've talked a lot about Danny's No Good, Very Bad, Terrible 2.5 Years as Phantom, and how he tends to not talk a lot about what kinda shit he went through in Amity to his siblings. But you know, everyone slips up a little.
--------
Dick's learned a lot about his new…. not family, nobody could ever replace the one he lost, but… caretakers? Yeah, sure, caretakers. Dick's learned a lot about his new caretakers. Guardians. Like how Bruce is Batman and goes to fight Gotham's darkest shadows at night, and that Alfred doesn't like it, but he helps because the other choice is ignoring it and he could never ignore Bruce. He's learned that Bruce hasn't seen a movie since he was twelve and has an unholy amount of band t-shirts and perhaps more hoodies than dress suits, and Alfred isn't just a butler but a bodyguard as well, and was probably an M15 agent (not that he can prove it).
He's still learning stuff about Danny though, Bruce's other kid he's taken in that no one knows about. Danny's made himself a bigger enigma than Bruce, and Dick can't tell if that's impressive, or worrying. He knows Bruce knows how to sneak around without making a sound because he's Batman, he doesn't know how Danny knows how to do that.
He asked once if Bruce taught him, and Danny tilted his head at Dick with a confused scrunch in his eyes and he faintest, amused smile, and told him: 'no, why would he?' Dick would've thought he was lying to him, but Danny said it with so much quiet earnest that it didn't even cross his mind until half an hour later.
Danny is… Dick isn't sure how to describe him. Danny knows Bruce is Batman, he knows all the same secrets Dick does, and he helps Bruce out at night when he needs it. Which isn't often. He makes jokes like he's breathing, he knows how to chart every star in the sky, can name every car model dating back to their invention, and wanders the floors of the tower so he can sing in them without being heard. He's also sick.
"You should teach me how to hide bruises," he says one day, sitting on the counter in the kitchen while Danny toiters around with his walking stick. Bruce and Danny aren't allowed in the kitchen together, banned by Alfred for something that either of them have yet to tell Dick about, but they can go in separately. Dick can count on both hands the amount of times he's seen Bruce in here alone and actually tried making something other than coffee or tea.
Danny, however, likes to drift in and out often.
Speaking of, Danny hums lightly, this quiet melodic thing that makes shivers run down Dick's back, and stops in front of the fridge with a coil in his spine and his free hand hovering close to the knife block. As if he's expecting something to jump right out the moment he opens it. Dick thinks Danny doesn't even realize he's doing it, because he asked once and Danny painted a coat of red across his face and stammered something ineligible.
"Why?" Danny asks, opening the fridge then with a grunt. The fridge is safe, as normal, and Danny's shoulders drop of tension. "Plannin' on gettin' into fights?" He's teasing, but there is a sharp lilt in his voice that Dick can't ignore.
He scoffs and looks away, "No," he lies, because they all know that Dick's been trying to convince them into letting him out on the field with Bruce. Neither of them agreed, but Danny's been the loudest voice. He won't explain why, and Dick hates him a little for it. "You help Bruce cover up his bruises when he can't reach them. I want to help."
Danny passes over two bags of frozen berries to him, his face as blank as paper just like Bruce's tends to be. Dick plucks it from his fingers, half expecting him to say no, but Danny just hums again quietly before turning around to grab the milk.
"Sure," he says upon slamming the door, and his arm shakes when he lifts it to put it on the counter, "I can show you later. I've got a bruise on my leg that we can use."
Dick blinks for a moment -- reeling with shock that Danny actually agreed, before registering the rest of his sentence. He makes a face that he doesn't know the name of, other than that it includes 'baffled'. "From where? You don't fight."
A deadpan look, Danny breaks its still water with a crooked turn of his mouth. He twists the milk cap open with a pop and crooks his fingers at Dick. He passes over the berries. "Banged m'shin on the coffee table earlier," he admits, catching a startled laugh out of Dick, "n' I bruise easy, so I got a big, ugly shiner on my leg now."
Dick is still laughing and Danny knows this, that jerk, so he knocks two of his knuckles against Dick's knee with glimmering eyes, "Go get the sugar for me, giggles," he tells him, "make yourself useful." Dick doesn't like being told what to do, and if it were anyone else he would've bit their fingers off for trying. He draws his feet up and bounds across the counter to the spice cabinet.
"Alfred's gonna scold you if he sees you," Danny calls after him, Dick bends into a bridge out of spite and sees him not even looking at Dick. His attention is on the bag of berries he's opening with a loud plastic crinkle. Dick sticks his tongue out at him, still with laughter in his lungs.
"Alfred doesn't gotta see." He says, and then unfolds himself and gets the sugar.
He puts the jar down next to Danny rather than in his hand and plops down into criss-cross, chin in his hand. "Did Bruce teach you how to hide bruises?" He asks, despite knowing that the last time Dick asked him if Bruce taught him something he shouldn't, Danny looked at him with confusion crinkling his eyes and told him 'no, why would he?'
Danny doesn't tilt his head in confusion or anything the sort this time, but he hums low and gets this faraway look in his eyes that Dick sees on him often. "Mm, no," Danny says, murmuring and soft, he scoops a buncha berries out of the bag with one of the measuring cups and dumps it into the blender. Dick feels a pit form in his stomach.
There's not a lotta reasons someone should know how to hide bruises, and Dick's young, but he's not stupid. There's a lot of learning he's still doing about Danny, but he'd be blind if he didn't see the way he flinches sometimes anytime someone -- successfully, because its not often -- sneaks up on him. Or the wild-eyed way he gets when he's stressed, big-eyed and tense the way a rabbit gets when it's cornered.
He thinks that's the end of that, and then Danny adds, like an afterthought, "Just somethin' I learned on my own."
Dick should leave it at that, his spine going cold and numb with dread. But he's never learned when to leave well enough alone, and sometimes Danny looks like a shadow about to disappear whenever Dick sees him in the lazy corner of his eye.
Like a cat trying to hunt a bird, he prowls forward, "Oh…" he says as light as Bruce walks, keeping himself conversational, "why?"
He's half-expecting Danny to catch on and shut him down. To give him one of those piercing, knowing looks with those too-bright eyes of his, and to change the subject. Instead, his brother hums again, lashes fluttering and eyes lost in thought. He shrugs weakly, turning for the sugar, "Started learnin' after Vlad strangled me for the…" his brows furrow, as if he can't remember the count, Dick feels himself go ill, "…for the… uh… After I was strangled once. Couldn't keep wearin' turtlenecks in the summer."
Danny turns and gives him this tired, amused smile, as if it's a funny joke that he's expecting Dick to laugh at.
Dick does not laugh, instead he thinks about all the times he's seen him flinch, and hide under tables -- Danny doesn't say it's hiding, but it's hiding -- and put himself in the corner of the room with his back to the wall so he could see everyone, and watch Bruce or Alfred like a hawk whenever they're moving around the room. He thinks about Danny's limp and this offhand comment he made once about how he didn't always need a cane.
He thinks about the fact that nobody knows Danny is living with Bruce.
Just below his parents' murderer, Dick has another name to add to his list of people he needs to kill.

Not the Ghost - CFAU Dani Snippet
Ellie's older brother killed himself before she was born.
And Ellie misses him.
It's weird to miss someone you've never met.
She knows he grew up in Gotham with Jazz. She knows they grew up in a small flat in Crime Alley--and when she first heard the name, she looked Danny in the eyes and bewilderedly asked him why it was called that. He gave her this half-tilt, amused smile and told her to guess--and Danny often spent most of his time running around outside.
She knows that he wanted to be an astronaut, he has a model spaceship sitting on his shelf that's collecting dust. She knows that he likes calligraphy; there are fountain pens in his desk in the center compartment drawer that's supposed to look hidden, and his cursive is nice even if his plain writing is unintelligible.
She knows that he had a bit of a sweet tooth, but only for specific kinds of candy. She knows he likes starbursts the most, because in the same drawer with his fountain pens are a bunch of unopened red and yellow starburst candies. She knows they're his favorite because there aren't any pink and orange ones saved in there, the wrappers are in the garbage can under his desk.
She knows that he liked car stuff. He could guess a car's year based off its build and tell you exactly why he knows, right down to the shape of the headlights and the slope of the windshield. He liked old motorcycles and wanted to get his own one day.
She knows he had a best friend, his pictures are everywhere along the side wall in his room. When Ellie was snooping through his room when they first met, she found a shoebox in his closet full of letters from someone named Jason Todd. She read many of them before putting it away.
It's weird to miss someone that's still right in front of you too.
Ellie's older brother is always so open and happy to see her, he's always a phone call or a flight away. He smiles when he sees her and asks her how she's been. He makes jokes and rags on her the way only older brothers -- or so she's heard -- can.
When she stays the night he lets her sleep in his room. He gives her old shirts for her to wear because she doesn't have any pajamas ever since she left Vlad's wing. They're too big on her and smell like cigarettes. She's sure that you're not supposed to like the smell of nicotine, but Ellie does. It reminds her of Danny.
He snarks at her and tries not to cuss as much, and he shares the pink and orange starbursts he loves so much with her. Presses them into her palm and won't share the red and yellow ones because 'those are for Jason.'
When Danny's not paying attention he slips back into his Gotham accent, and Ellie didn't know that's what it was when she first heard it. She'd never been to Gotham before then, but she liked hearing it. She likes when it gets thick and lacquers his every word.
Ellie misses him, because his smile doesn't reach his eyes the way they used to. Ellie's never even seen the 'way they used to' in person. She only knows because he looks like a whole other person in his photos with that Jason.
Ellie misses him, because she knows he's a banshee. She knows that that's not something easy to become. Her older brother can joke as much as he wants, but she can taste his grief in the back of her throat like a sob. It stings in her eyes when his core throbs and twangs the air around them like a guitar string.
Ellie misses him, because Danny's hands are rough and they aren't from ghost fighting. It's from Gotham, he said, and didn't say much else on the matter. She thinks he sounded as fond as he did bitter about it.
(She's only been to Gotham once. Once to try and see the place her brother--and sister--grew up in. She didn't make it much an afternoon before she was booking it out of there, and hating herself a little for it. She wants to know the place her brother grew up in. She wants to know her brother.)
Ellie loves her big brother so much; she's never even met him. Not in the way Sam and Tucker have, nor in the way Jazz grew up with. She's never known him alive, she's never known him not grieving. She doesn't know how to make it better.
She's the only Fenton whose never known Jason Todd, and that shouldn't be as important as it is. She supposes she should be grateful: she was only born because her brother died, and he would've never died if Jason Todd hadn't.
She's not grateful. She misses her brother. He killed himself before she was born.

Danny & JL, Black, O, Tapping, @grey-lysander
Barry was going to go insane.
There was a tapping sound. Which, really, wouldn’t be the end of the world if he was on the world. But no, he was in space on the Watchtower and weird mechanical noises should not be happening.
Worse, no one else seemed to hear it.
Well, not the people he’d asked at least. Diana didn’t. None of the varieties of ‘John’ did. Dick didn’t—though he might have actually tried to figure it out but it was finally his turn to sit in medbay with Wally. Wally would probably be able to hear it, but again, medbay.
The kid would be fine, he was just drugged to the gills with some pollen that they couldn’t just speedily metabolize away. Barry couldn’t visit him either just in case it was some weird Speed Force affecting thing. But he didn’t want to go to far.
And now he was going to be annoyed to death by the tapping instead.
“Hal, I’m telling you, there’s tapping,” Barry whined.
“Uh-hu,” Hal replied absently and without an ounce of compassion.
“There is! It’s like…” Barry tilted his head and really listened to the tapping. He did his best to mimic it in a more standard human time by tapping it out on the table. Da da da daaa daaa daaa da da da.
Hal’s head shot up from the crossword he’d been poking at. “Wait, what?”
“I told you, the tapping!”
“No, tap it again,” Hal ordered, leaning forward. “It’s that exactly?”
“Yeah…?” Barry listened to be sure before tapping it out again.
Da da da daaa daaa daaa da da da.
Hal stared at Barry’s hand with a level of concern that concerned Barry. “Barry, Barry, that’s S.O.S. That’s not just tapping, that’s a message.”
“Well,” Barry said after a pause. “Fuck.”

DC X DP Prompt:
For years, Danny had been flipping between tearing apart the realms to find his beloved, and languishing in his castle when every single lead turned to be nothing. What was he supposed to do? How could he find Jason?
They had been having a normal time in the Infinite Realms. Jason had been telling Danny of the books he had helped Ghost Writer add to his collection. Something about dimensional differences making rarities. Danny had been more focused on the voice than the words.
He had been King of the Infinite Realms for about a year, when a boy just popped up in the middle of his court, shocking everyone with his presence. The boy, Jason, had been wearing a rather bloody outfit, yet on top there was a sash like a prince might wear. Jason had been sad at first, to learn he was dead, but curious about what was going on.
Clockwork was frowning, which was never a good sign.
“His Time is wrong.” The Ancient of Time said, head tilting as he shifted forms.
It took a year or so, but we found out what he meant. Jason wasn’t supposed to die yet.
“That means he can be brought back to his body.”
“But he was dead for a year in the living world! How could he possibly have gone back to his body? Surely his spirit is just lost somewhere.” Danny didn’t want to believe it. Jason couldn’t just be gone.
“It isn’t. Since you began your search, I have taken the liberty to look amongst the living. I finally found him.” Clockwork shocked Danny into silence for only a moment before the king leapt up, and immediately started to rip open a portal to the living realms.
“Ah, no. I’m afraid he’s not from your home dimension. I can get you to the right one through my dear friend, the Lady Gotham.” Clockwork stopped Danny before the over-eager king could scour his Earth.
“Your Majesty, it is an honor to know you have chosen one of my prince’s as your consort.” Lady Gotham rasped, her throaty voice alluring despite the fact it also sounded like she smoked two packs a day. Her hair was tightly curled, arranged in a glorious pouf around her head like a cloud, hiding yellow, glowing eyes. She curtseyed, her dress made of smoke and changing eras with a shifting so slow it took you a moment to realize it was different.
“Please, just help me find him. He told me the man who murdered him was never brought to justice. What if he tries again? The cruel thing about coming back to life, is having to die all over again.” Danny took Lady Gotham’s hand, and she opened a portal into her city.
Danny stepped in.
What was going on? Where was he? Who was he? Why was the air so thick, and everything so heavy?
Nothing felt right to Jason anymore. Which, made sense since he had been dragged out of some supposed afterlife, just to dig his way out of his own grave. His own body didn’t feel like it belonged to him. Why did it age? Why did it heal? Why was its heart still beating?
Worst of all, was just a nagging wrongness about where he was. Something was missing. Something important. But what?

He broke through to the surface, taking large desperate gasps of air before getting sucked back beneath by the current. Danny fought against the water as hard as his little paws would allow.
Just when he felt all hope was lost and he was sinking, a large hand enveloped his entire body and hefted him back into the open air. Shivering and coughing out water he didn't catch whatever the man had said. He continued shivering violently as the guy wrung out Dannys fur.
The mans hands were warm despite the brown leather gloves covering them. They made Danny feel comforted and energized almost as if the man had...oh gods! He did! The man had ecto inside of him! Thank the ancients! Now he just had to stick with glove guy and he could recharge! It would be slow but still!
"Here we are little guy." The man said and Danny noticed all at once that the man had been walking the whole time Danny had been stuck in his head. He looked around and noticed the Animal Shelter sign in front of them.
No. No! Danny needed to stick to this guy if he ever hoped to become a human again. But despite how he dug his claws into the flesh of the mans exposed arm and yowled the man in the red mask managed to get him lose and left him in the care of an animal social worker.
Danny was checked out and placed in the tiny jail cell alongside other kittens and cats, many who were scared, miserable or just desperate for love and attention. This of course meant he needed to plot a jail break. Fortunately, he could still used most of his powers but without any ecto around he would have no way to recharge them outside of food or indulging in his obsession.
Needless to say Jason was a little startled when he woke up the next day to not one, but five little kittens meowing at him for food. He swears the one sitting smugly on his chest is the same one he dropped off at the animal shelter yesterday, but that couldn't be right...
One call confirmed it. All of thier animals had escaped last night and there was a suspiciously animal sized arch taken out of the wall with an unknown tool. Demon brat would be delighted at the news.
Unfortunately for Hood the smug little black cat he rescued yesterday had decided that his shoulder was the perfect perch and stayed there more often than not. Little guy got into food often but refused to eat kibble and any attempt to get the kitten away from the mashed potatoes resulted in violence or density shifting to get back to the food.
At this point danny almost didn't care if he returned to being human so long as he got to eat more of his humans cooking. He swears Jason is magical because everything he makes tastes amazing

Danny running into a room: Hide me!
Tim: Under my desk! Quick!
Danny: *Jumping the desk* Thank you!
Security Guard running in: Mr. Drake-Wayne! Have you seen a suspicious man pass through here?
Tim: Hmm? No. Is something happening?
Security Guard: A while ago, someone reported that a homeless man was found sleeping in one of our less used bathrooms. It looks like he had been staying there for a while. He had an entire camp set up. He ran as soon as the security was called but we think he's still in the building.
Tim: Wow that's crazy. Hope you catch him
Security Guard: Thank you. I suggest you move down to level 1 until we're sure he's not a danger.
Tim: Of course. I'll be right there.
Tim: *Moving his wheel chair back to stare into Danny's eyes* He's gone.
Danny: Thank you so much for hiding me.
Tim: You're welcome. Take off your clothes
Danny: Excuse me?
Tim: Switch into one of my spare suits. We're going to pretend you're my guest and walked you right pass security.
Danny: Who keeps seven spair complete suits at work?
Tim: *Holding up two ties* I do. Now, this Aqua blue makes your eyes pop, but this classic black with silver stripes gives you a mysterious aura. What are we feeling?
Danny: ....the blue one is nice.
