Characters - Etho/Joel Words - 347 Time - 15 mins Content -

“You’re so short.”

Joel growls, doing his best to not push Etho onto the street. He wants to do so, so badly. Etho reeks of cheap bear and his clothes are damp, drunkenly draped over his side and clinging like a bad hangover. 

“Why so short? Hm, Joel?” Etho continues, hiccups cutting into his slurred words. He giggles, pressing his face into Joel’s neck, dragging him back slightly. He smiles when Joel groans, but he’s fixed on Joel’s warmth, and how very huggable he is. “‘S good—hic—for, hug. Hm, good.”

“Bloomin’ die,” Joel hisses, planting his feet down. Despite his attempts to shake him off, Etho’s arms are like slippery noodles, slipping then wrapping around him mindlessly. 

“Aww, don’ be sad.”

Etho giggles, nuzzling into his neck, and Joel has had enough. He shoves Etho’s chest hard, the night breeze sliding between them quickly, freezing the spot where their bodies touched. In his drunken state, Etho tumbles down with a graceless fall, Joel realizing at the last second what he had done but only able to watch his feet lift from the ground. 

“Shit– Etho! I didn’t—”

Still, Etho only bursts out laughing, arms wrapped on his stomach. 

“Eefo! Don’t laugh!” 

Joel rushes over, kneeling in front of him to fuss. He tries to check him but Etho laughs out of his grasp. Even drunk, Etho is sneaky, grabbing Joel’s wrist to yank him into his chest, quickly hugging him.

Joel squeals, squirms but he fails to get out Etho’s grasp, flustered when Etho’s laugh cools, turning into soft hums that lull him into a false sense of security. All Joel wants is to go home and sleep, but all he got was a face full of Etho’s chest, both on the pavement in the middle of the night, nowhere near home. 

“I hate you,” Joel grits through his teeth, even when Etho grabs his chin to make him look up. Etho looks down at him with a goofy, smitten look and Joel will ever mean those words. 

“Love you,” Etho whispers into his lips, kissing him.

Sooo, lately I've been exploring the world of shipping hermit x hermit, lifer x lifer. You know what i mean? Aaaaand i just need to talk about it lol.

This are MY opinions and preference, please no hate.

So, my favorite ship now is gemtho (gem x etho)

I love them, they are so cute.

But i have read somo joel x etho too, and idk they kinda cute too, but joel and lizzie are literally marry so it makes me a little uncomfortable to read any joel x someoneelsethanlizzie.

But, HEARME OUT, the perfect relationship for me is joel and lizzi are married, but joel has a boyfriend etho, and etho is obsesse with Gem and they are on a relationship too. But Gem also likes Lizzi so it's kind of a joel x lizzi x gem x etho. Like, the main couples are joel x lizzi and gem x etho, but they all like each other at the end. :)

Then there it is Grian x Scar. I mean, ofc they are here. I LOVE THEM. I like every form of their ship (cut guy x hot guy, watcher grian x secret life scar, etc) but my favorite is DESERT DUO, THE DRAMMMAAAAA. I love them.

And then there is Grian x Mumbo x Scar (the buttercups) they are and always will be in my heart and memories.

I don't really ship pearl x gem cause i think their frienship is so pure and beautiful that it's perfect as it is. Yk, soulmates in the form of best friends.

Also, i don't like gem x the dads (impulse and skizz) it's just... it's uncomfortable. In my mind they are HER DADS.

BUT impulse x skizz 👀👀 that's real man.

Also, Bdubs and Etho, i think they are best friends who had hook up but are just friends, like, no romantic feelings involved. Just the power of friendship, two homies that kiss sometimes.

And back to gem and etho, i read a... peculiar fic (is for adults so is dirty) but not gonna lie, i like it 😳, and Tango was involved and... etho x gem x tango is another ship I'll read againg.

I can't remember more ships now, so if u wanna recomed fics or talk about it, feel free to message me or reblog or wherever.

Simple idea, but I like it-🔹

Etho was a knight for the Red Army. Joel was a prince of Mezalea, a kingdom part of the Pizza alliance.

It may have been a bad idea to fall in love with your enemy especially when they were both sworn to protect their respective lands but they couldn’t stay away from each other.

Perhaps they can do both. If peace is brokered between the opposing factions, then there will be no need for violence. They'll be protecting their lands together instead...

But what can a single knight and prince do in the wake of such a deep-seated feud? They both accept that if it must be, then they will put their lands above each other.

It hurts, but it's a mutual hurt. One that encourages them to fight against that fate.

both their designs are purposefully cluttered mainly because i think both of them have bases that are really busy in different ways (joel definitely more so than etho, but also cause etho's been focusing on frogger hence the frog bits and music discs/pages) but also because i love designing very Full outfits

i wanted to carry that busyness into their designs, ex. joel's many many colours, banner accessories and layers vs etho having a lot of trinkets and things on his person (you can't convince me he doesnt hoard at least a little . he has a shulker sorting system for every block in the game and i love that for him)

there were definitely more thoughts in my head as i was drawing but they've all escaped me so ,, maybe someday i'll remember
