I'll be prepping for Hermit-A-Day May for a while so i might not post as many illustrations this month but for now here's some lil rancher doodles i had stashed away 😌

This one is technically the beginning of a longer comic based on a lil interaction thing i wrote...but thats for me to know and for y'all to wonder about

and down here we have jimmy being unreasonable

No actually, though Cleo does fit both of them.

This post is based on Epic The Musical and my au where Scott is Odysseus, Penelope is Tango and Telemachus is Jimmy (instead of the son plot they’re in a polycule and it’s Scott trying to get home to both his wives)

All the other winners were turned into a god or goddess but due to the watchers hating Scott he didn’t get that privilege.

In God Games Pearl (who takes the spot of Athena) is asking The Watchers to help free Scott but they’re refusing unless she can convince every other winner to let him go (knowing that quite a few of them will refuse)

This bit here is Pearl pleading to Cleo, but to Pearls surprise before she can even get a word in Cleo shuts down the idea, angry that Scott would abandon his family and allies to go to a war he wasn’t needed at (haven’t fully fleshed out the details on the war yet. Maybe it’s the empires universe? Life series Scott goes to help Empires Scott against Xornoth?) and points out that he’s been gone for years now, and in the time he’s gone his sister Gem died of an illness. For someone so loyal to her allies, this is awful behaviour from Scott in Cleo’s opinion, and completely out of character for him and she’s pissed about it.

If I made an animatic of this bit the “please reconsider this” would be Pearl and Cleo turning from their current selves to them in Last Life, which is then when Martyn barges in to stand by his wife.

Martyn is pissed off that Pearl would try and manipulate Cleo like this and loses his shit, absolutely tearing into Pearl about every grievance he’s ever had against Scott. However he crosses the line, insulting Jimmy (who Pearl is friends with in this au).

Pearl snaps and points out Cleo’s hypocrisy, how she says Gem died of a broken heart but Gem can, and did (in the underworld) forgive him, it’s only Cleo left who’s bitter, then she turns on Martyn pointing out that Scotts a skilled fighter and determined to get home to those he loves.

The two then give in cause she’s got a point lmao

It’s been on my mind lately that I had a lot of these Spotify song requests that I finished and never got around to posting, so I’m gonna try to chip away at posting these over the next few weeks! BUT Hi Ghost :] It’s so funny this was the song you ended up getting the number for; I had actually listened to it on loop during the deepest trenches of ranchers brainrot however many months ago, so I’m really happy I ended up being able to draw something for them!! <3 This is also the part where I expose myself for being an unashamed band kid =w= Grainger’s one of my favorite composers, so I listen to his works a lot and couldn’t help associating the really soft hopeful horns with this kind of healing period for the ranchers ;w;

I probably won’t ever really go into the details of the m-1 server’s overall plot, but I think the general vibe for m-1 ranchers is that these little moments of soft sunlight and healing bones were some of the most needed for them, so that’s why scenes like this always stand out in my mind <3 Context aside though, I think m-1 ranchers are just super sweet so!! figured I’d Full-Send share this soft doodle of them :]

New Chapter Alert! - Chapter 23

Chapter spoilers:

This was a difficult one to write because I needed to work out the order of events fairly carefully. I knew where I wanted it to end, and I honestly thought that this chapter's end was going to happen last chapter, but it was already getting too long and I thought the castle in the distance was a nice ending.

I had Scar display an act of brutality, just to lend to the fact that this guy is not Good. I realised pretty easrly that I wanted to have bees be a punishment, but also realised that it would takes thousands of stings to kill an adult so that's why Gerald was shot at the end. Bees was also going to the perfect way to liken Scar to the horseman of Pestilence in Jimmy's mind, so that all came together rather nicely hehe

I've been planning Grian's reveal for long and so many of you definitely caught on to the obvious that he and Scar were in cahoots.

So glad we've finally got to this point because I have some cools things planned! 😎
