When he's not a red name he's just the NICEST MAN he can't even kill a cow.

Which is such a fun flip to draw when he finally does go red.

Seriously the whole words of affirmations thing from Limited Life?

I'm kind of torn on the arm scars being scars or stripes and so the answer is both.

I love all the fracturing, singing, and tearing of the Red Name - the tie, the halo, and the wings all kind of go red along with his hair, I had fun with that.

He has the bluest blue eyes to ever blue.

I was gonna give him a dad bod like Imp but the arm muscles kinda took over I'm not sure what happened.

Tango:

God I love this design. A flaming jeroba with robot arms.

The gems in his hands indicate what life he's on.

I think maybe the goggles could also crack, and maybe his tail goes out like a spent match on Red? Or maybe the fire gets kind of greasy, haven't figured that out yet.

Bless this man for having the easiest outfit to color of everyone because his hair took FOREVER.

It finally seems like our dear ol' Canary got out of his cage.

I love drawing wings. I think the difference between 'avian' and 'angel' in this particular artstyle is the ear wing things.

He has such a comfy color scheme, I love blue and gold so much actually.

HELLOOOO <3 just a week left before act two begins- isn't that amazing?? i found it really surprising that it's so close from now :O! writing-wise, i'm almost at the midway point of act two, and the edits still need to go through chapter 5 onwards >:D

‘Haven’t seen one of these for the life series before so I wanted to make one. Keep in mind I don’t watch everyone’s POV and have missed a couple series so like. I might be missing some relationship lines here and there that I just. don’t know about

I’ve always loved the head cannon of Grian’s relationship to the life series as that of the creator, being because he feeds of the raw emotion/violence/negativity (any of those, etc). Whether or not he enjoys it or feels immense guilt or something in between is up to creative interpretation. I like the idea that the watchers aren’t necessarily involved at all on a intimate level, but rather that they are some eldritch entity that Grian himself sought out and touched (Evo), cursing him to this life, forcing him to become what he is but not out of malice, simply because that’s what the entity is.

Unhinged Scarian Addition to this because I am consumed by them:

The reason the series keep becoming more complex and frequent, it’s because Grian struggles to be sated by how short they are. When someone wins a series they get a glimpse of the hunger, a peek at what entity grian has touched, it’s horrible and incredible and too much and once you’ve seen it, you aren’t allowed to forget. It’s why winners are desperate to never win again but they still feel the pull to play the series out. It’s why when Scar wins, he understands, he’s always been close to grian, and now he knows, so he doesn’t off himself at the end of secret life, despite the temptation, he allows Grian to continue to feed off him, he tries to help. But unfortunately he isn’t enough and so the next cycle begins. Scar continues to gravitate onto grian, to allows himself to hurt, in the hopes of being enough, and Grian loves him for it.

Shamelessly posting my GoodTimesWithScar life series headcanons because someone needs to hear them

GoodTimesWithScar scar is my silliest goober EVER and I would like to share why. Ahem.

- He lived in secret life until the next life series began, if he had died he would have been sent to an abyss or something kind of like sleep, where he would just wake up in the next season, but no, he was in secret life until wild life started up.

-He’s making so many 3rd life references to Grian in wild life BECAUSE he now remembers and is trying to signal to Grian he remembers. He acts like he doesn’t around others, which is my explanation for him saying “what happened in 3rd life” in the most recent ep!

- (this isn’t necessarily a GTWS hc, more of a winners one, I could make a separate winners post if I feel like it) Non-winners remember only bits and pieces like a hazy memory. Maybe one moment from each episode. While winners, they remember only what they went through. So scar when he got his memories knows Grian wins, because he was there, but he wouldn’t know people like Scott Pearl Marytn etc… won because he didn’t live to experience it. But he does remember his deaths and who killed him.

-He is the watchers favorite, it may or may not have stemmed from Grian attaching himself to him in 3rd life, but now the watchers follow him everywhere he goes. Why was he given so many villainous tasks in secret life? To cause chaos, the watchers favorite activity. Why was he kept alive? Because the watchers thought they’d ‘reward’ their favorite player by letting him stay alive. Why’d they pair him with Grian in double life? To make scar happy, and to annoy grian.
