i want a fic where once James dies in the canon he goes back in time and ends up with the rest of the marauders on the train but this time James is more mature and so when Sirius starts to talking about how his family is expecting him to be in Slytherin, James tells him that he’ll be friends with him regardless knowing that Sirius will be a Gryffindor

only now we fast forward to the sorting and Sirius has now ended up a Slytherin and James is panicking because he knows Sirius is going to absolutely hate Slytherin and so what does he do - he convinces the hat to put him in Slytherin

only James is like the poster-boy for Gryffindor and the hat is like ‘haha nice try’ but James is there pulling everything he ever could until he remembers the one thing that he knew would immediately help change the hats mind

James Potter is a Parsletongue

so we end up James in Slytherin - happy that he’s with Sirius but also like oh shit i’m in Slytherin what on Earth am I going to do now ????

Side Note: I have many cool ideas as to why I think James Potter could be a parsletongue that I will definitely upload in a different post!!!

Based on what I know, I do not think Sirius and Regulus were even taught being gay was possible. I think Walburga/Orion refused to teach them it even exists. So I imagine them finding out like this:

Sirius: Yeah, if I was a girl I would probably date Remus to be honest. Such a shame it’s impossible for me to like him.

James: Impossible? What do you mean??

Sirius: Well you can only like people of the opposite gender.. right?
