It has been...A Day. So talking about music is something I am very excited to do right now wooooooo (i'm only feeling a little bit insane I promise). Once again I am going to try to only list songs I haven't talked about before.

6. A song that makes you want to dance

I could have chosen so many of their songs but this one specifically makes me want to dance. Full disclosure is that I will dance to any and every song. I will not dance well. But if you see a person walking down the streets of Chicago dancing to whatever music they're listening to...it's me. And it's likely Thunderous I'm listening to.

I do not know why this is the song that popped into my head for this but it is. I have not listened to this in years. But there was a time when I genuinely loved it. I loved all of the different vocal styles and how each person interpreted each part. (Yes I have been this way about music since forever)

24. A song by a band you wish were still together

Apparently I'm just feeling very nostalgic today. This band opened for another band that my friends and I went to see and I immediately fell in love. Bought their album. Bought their poster. Then they broke up. It was a sad time but I still love the songs and I think I still have the physical CD. No one else I know has ever heard of them except my friends that were there with me that day. They were an extremely small local band but I have loved them for a long time.

26. A song that makes you want to fall in love

I was so excited to see you mention Vienna Teng earlier in one of your asks lol. This seems like a weird one to want to make me fall in love but I struggled with this because...I like romance and love songs but for other people. Not really a big fan of them for myself. But sometimes I like to listen to this song and imagine myself in another universe with a partner and a child and I sing this song to my child when it's storming. But that is definitely Rae in another universe. Rae in this universe may or may not fall in love but there will be no children. I digress. Vienna Teng has such a gorgeous voice and I have not heard a song of hers that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed.

Going for something cute that has the ability to look normal among mid to upper class civilians in case she needs to mingle with nobles, but just a bit more militaristic and practical for fighting! Thinking of doing a layer by layer breakdown for her outfit as well

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

You don't wish your disability was worse or more visible, you wish your disability was taken seriously. Please stop confusing the two, I guarantee you would not get the support you need JUST by being more severe or more visible. Please listen to visibly disabled people when we tell you it isn't better on our side

#m/cc #mine #I tried extremely hard to word this nicely because I KNOW people don't mean bad and often even know there are unique challenges #and believe me I know the challenges of invisible disability too!!#I have invisible disabilities!#but as someone who has also been at least visibly 'off' since they were 10 I am SO SICK of invisible disabilities being hailed as like #a unique extra oppression that us lucky visibly disabled people don't have to deal with #there are challenges to invisible disabilities that visibly disabled people DON'T have to deal with!#but you need to understand that *the reverse is also true*#there are MASSIVE benefits to being able to lie about your disability for example #or not dealing with the overt ableism that comes with your disability being obvious to everyone #*I do not have the option to pretend I'm not disabled.* that is never an option I have #I walk weirdly. I use a mobility aid now. my speech and face are 'off.' I lean to one side #for a long time I wore sunglasses 24/7 and often didn't make sense. I sometimes can't speak or won't react to others #for the most part people will always know that at the very least something is wrong with me #and more obviously I have people telling me they'll pray for me; telling me I can't do things I'm already in the process of doing;#wanting to shake my hand to tell me I'm an inspiration for not killing myself; giving me dirty looks for existing in public #and yes. I'm aware that this is very much an in-community issue. I know the average abled person doesn't know invisible disabilities exist #that's why there's so much awareness happening for it #but as a visibly disabled person I get SO TIRED of constantly hearing 'I wish my disability was visible :'('#it's just 'I wish I had your disability!' but from other disabled people

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.
