Commissioned a lion version of my comfort character like it's the 00s again and I'm lurking on message boards with my badly-drawn avatars of my TLK OCs that I made in MS Paint. … too specific? lolz so random XD rawr (those were the days...)

KaoriMofuMofu was the artist and I recommend her, she's very nice to work with and her art is great.

I put the character's name on the ref, but I decided to name her Silent Force instead, because it feels like a more lion-y name… or at least, a more 2000s-deviantArt-OC name, which is the vibe I was going for

Wednesday, March 22: Silent Force, “Walk the Earth”

Either Alex Beyrodt was the truest of believers, or maybe he just had a compulsive urge to never stop working, so Silent Force was yet another European power metal outfit built around the guitarist.  To be sure, the group had a bit of a pedigree, with D.C. Cooper taking a temporary break from Royal Hunt to indulge his Priest jones.  In fairness, Walk the Earth’s title track had a touch of the blues elements Beyrodt would later lean into with Voodoo Circle, so it wasn’t entirely pastiche, but at the same time the combination of chugging riffs, fast tempos and Cooper’s wailing was prototypical power metal.  It wasn’t at all clear why this needed to exist other than keeping Cooper in circulation between stints with Royal Hunt and generally keeping Beyrodt occupied, but both were among the best at this sort of thing, and they made for an entertaining composition even if the music itself was largely boilerplate.

i firmly believe simon needs someone who's very assertive in their relationship. when they have their mind set on something, it gets done. who expresses their opinions and dislike for things unapologetically, who isn't afraid to set boundaries and put him in his place with snarky quips. someone who's confident, has a fond liking for his horrible jokes, and doesn't mind his sometimes sassy attitude. who kisses him silly before they go off to work, and kisses him silly when they come back. he needs someone who's affectionate with him in small ways :( cooking together, cleaning together, and having their 'go-to' show that they refuse to watch without each other. and after seeing you during a meeting, swears that could be you :(

Question about your changling AU, where did you learn about the ins and outs of Fae and Changling myths? I'm interested in learning too but not sure where to start lol

some of the lore I have for the AU I crafted myself, otherwise I read a lot of old faerie tales growing up and my mom, for some reason, knows an awful lot about shit like that, so some of it is just innate from her. otherwise i just read a lotttttt of books around the concepts of these things when I was younger because I was fascinated with jim henson's worlds

Always an experience watching the leftism leave FNAF fans when someone mentions that Scott Cawthon financially backed fascist politicians.

The switch from posting hardline leftist tweets about boycotts and signal boosts and critical takedowns of politicians and celebrities to ‘ohhh, well. everyone makes mistakes. who can blame him, listen he. he donated money to gay charities too. that makes it ok! a millionaire in his forties is allowed to have political beliefs. does it even matter? just let it go!’ is whiplash inducing. The antivaxxer celebrities have got to go, but this one horror dev who quietly handed wads of cash to antivax lawmakers? He’s chill, he can stay.

The charity thing is so funny too because suddenly utilitarian positive-negative point counting is the way to go. Maybe an abacus would help calculate the net good of donating to the Trevor Project minus donating thousands of dollars to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. -10 points if I push a kid in a lake but +11 points if I help an old lady across the street, so I’m chill. i love roach’s rock paper scissors animation so much, i hope he keeps track of how many wins and losses each hand has.

i wonder how the scores started out, if maybe his dominant hand won more simply because it’s his dominant hand, or if it started out even and eventually started favoring one side subconsciously, or maybe even now it’s still even.

i wonder if he’s ever accidentally fallen into a pattern and that’s what caused an uneven score.

on days where he’s visibly more stressed, i wonder if anyone has ever tried to play with him (i hope he sucks when he plays against someone)

maybe it’s a way of keeping his mind blank. because if he’s playing against himself then he’d obviously have to choose a winner. but maybe he does it specifically so that his mind kinda runs from him and he just allows the muscle memory to take over.

or maybe he just likes the repetition of the game, like a self soothing technique
