Reread Birds of a Feather and something occurred to me.

Adrien can see Imago while transformed bc of Plagg, but Marinette can see him both as Ladybug and as herself. (Granted Adrien hasn’t had a chance to see him as himself which got me thinking.)

Is this a case of Adrien simply not seeing Imago while being himself or is this Marinette being a baby sage?

Adrien can only see Imago as Chat Noir, bc Plagg's beef with Imago supersedes laws of reality (which, as a god, he can do that sometimes)

Marinette sees em all the time bc she's a baby sage. the only reason she's not seeing more gods rn is because Imago is warding them off.

Had a thought... Emilie got sick from the overuse of a broken miraculous, which (in my theory) is what tethers the Kwami to the world in a more physical form, not their god forms. I think Marinette is showing similar symptoms to Em not from overuse, but over exposure to pure miraculous magic, which is bad for humans. (like how Zeus killed one of his lovers by showing her his divine form) maybe the only way for her to start getting better is to find Imago a vessel so his big magic juju has somewhere to go? Or I'm just looking waaay to into things instead of doing homework? anyways, glad to hear you're doing better, you're doing amazing things!

Someone mentioned in a comment on one of your posts that it was good Marinette didn't tell the doctor she'd eaten an akuma and now I'm wondering, is that healthy? Like physically? Are they toxic?

Hihi! in short yes they are extremely toxic and should not be eaten. Marinette gets away with it because she's a baby sage, but its like... hm. How should I put this,

chewing on magic manifested through negative emotions, often hostile ones, is kind of like biting into uranium. if another person tried it and swallowed any of it, they would suffer from more than just dizziness and nosebleeds and fatigue, they would also end up having minor to moderate internal bleeding and might experience temporary loss of smell and taste, maybe even sight and hearing, as the akuma is supposed to be host to those things. chewing one up means its directly attacking how people sense the world, since that's exactly how Hawkmoth possess them. Common functionalities that Hawkmoth intends on possessing through the Akuma would be attacked, so if a normal person was to chew up enough Akuma, they could sustain permanent heart and brain damage.

Can Marinette feel Imago's hugs? The deep pressure looks like it would feel really nice, but I thought he couldn't interact with the real world?

Imago can't interact with the world unless its the product of another divine (like that time they ate a purified akuma, or when they tore up some of Battemen's ribbons, since akumatization is a level of divine interference via the Butterfly miraculous) or Marinette herself, who IS by technically what the blasphemous see as an "infant god," since sagehood has some level of divinity to it. its why Imago keeps calling her a babby, even though she ISN'T a god like them, but she's developing aspects like them due to her new position with magic

so yes! she can feel their hugs. to everyone else looking tho, it'd just look like she sat up a little straighter for a moment

only if there's cuts in her mouth, its a highly acidic animal - think like eating a salt and vinegar chip or a very pickled food, + the snap of when u touch ur tongue to a battery + it squirms in ur mouth it squirms in ur mouth it squirms in ur mouth

Okay, browsing through your Draconequus AU, I saw the EG possibility, so now I'm just picturing Sunset Shimmer sneaking in to steal the Element of Magic Crown, only to find there is a beast she's only read about in her books sleeping RIGHT NEXT TO THE CROWN!

Then the "Beast" wakes up to see her holding the crown. She bolts in terror because HOLY HORSERADISH, THAT WAS A DRACONEQUUS!! IN A NORMAL BED?!?!?

she certainly doesn't! Mari is on the same clique level as Juleka and Rose, and she just listens aptly to all of Lila's lies with a little :3c the whole time.

however, when Volpina appears...

Kitclown thinks Volpina's antics are adorable and stupid, so she doesn't interfere. Lila's feelings are... something else lmfao
