Tips for regressors/dreamers with religious trauma, as the holiday season comes up. And tips for regressors/dreamers with seasonal depression.

(DNI: Pro/com shippers/anti antis, and/or if you sexualize regression in any capacity.)

First and foremost, "christmas" is an entirely stolen holiday. Most of it is stolen from Yule, a Norse holiday, but other elements come from Winter Solstice, Saturnalia, and other winter holidays. So don't feel bad about not celebrating! Now, for tips:

-If the ideas about Santa Claus cause any anxiety, write a letter to Odin instead! Odin (Norse mythology) was the original Santa, before christians stole the holiday. He's very kind and fatherly, and he won't be offended, so don't worry about making any "mistakes" in your letter.

-In the same category, leave cookies and milk for Odin instead. They're a great offering for most other deities as well, for any pagan regressors.

-Make new associations with "christmas" items. Cinnamon, oranges, mistletoe, pine trees, etc are all associations with Yule. The items were to bring joy and abundance during the dark and cold winter months.

-Warm drinks! Hot cocoa, tea, coffee, warm milk- find something you like and put it in your sippy cup. For littles without gear, the coffee lids used at most coffee shops are a good mimic- just wash and save the cups and lid for later.

-Listen to different music. I hate christmas music so if a store I go into is playing it, I'll pop in my earbuds while I shop. In the car, I choose a different radio station or use my own music.

-If you're required to do any holiday activities you don't want to do, imagine your caregiver F/O being there with you, also wanting to leave but having to stay. Maybe they're cracking jokes to make you laugh, or making fun of someone you don't like at the event to make you laugh.

Tips for seasonal depression:

-My therapist recommended this one! Do an activity sitting by a window where the sunlight is coming in. The warmth will help any cold in your body, and you'll get the Vitamin D from the sun, all while being inside and out of the cold.

-Keep moving your body. Stretches, exercises in one spot, and other things like that to stay indoors in the warmth. If you feel up to it, go outside and walk or jog.

-Healthy foods! With depression it's easy to slack on this, but at least try to make an effort. Meats are best for health and for energy levels. Fruits and veggies are getting expensive as the go out of season, so don't be afraid to get canned stuff if you can't afford fresh. My favorite veggie snack: canned green beans, either cooked on the stove with butter and salt, or if you're short on time, drained then microwaved on a plate with just salt.

-Imagine your caregiver F/O cuddling you as you rest. Imagine what nice and encouraging things they'd say. They love you and want you to feel better.

(December 7, 2023) Bryansk School Shooting - Alina Afanaskina

The Shooter's Profile

Alina Afanaskina was a 14 year old student from 8-”A” class at Bryansk's 5th Gymnasium (formerly School #70). Alina was a type of a person who didn't communicate closely with anyone. Everyone who asked about her was basically repeating the same things: calm, loner, unremarkable, not active on social networks. Even the class teacher preferred talking to Alina's twin-sister, Daria, because Alina always was very silent and never came up with any questions/initiative. Teachers periodically were bringing up the subject of Alina's socialization to her mother and sister, although at the same time they didn't have any complaints about her grades or general behavior.

Alina had two siblings, including twin-sister Daria (Dasha). Her mom is a courtroom cleaner and dad worked in a private security company. Neighbors were perceiving them as good people, a nice and normal family, with a friendly father, though more reserved mother and daughters (who, allegedly, weren't hanging out with other kids at the yard). They didn't suspect any sort of violence in that household, as well as e.g. alcohol abuse; father doesn't drink. The third sibling is known to be a 28-year-old sister who lives in Moscow with her husband for a long time.

The Shooting

On December 7, 2023, Alina refused to eat breakfast. The last two words that she said to her mother were "Don't howl,” (Не вой), which the woman didn't understand. Next, Alina and her sister left the house. They both decided to skip the first lesson - geography and go to a second one - biology. Daria arrived there on time, like everyone else. Around 10 minutes later, when students started repeating their homework with teacher, Alina entered the classroom - with her father's shotgun and dressed all in black (shirt, trousers, combat boots with a knife in one of them, tactical glove), differently from her usual white clothes. Alina opened fire, killing one student, injuring five others, and then turning the gun on herself.

Injuries and Deaths

Alina Afanaskina - shot herself and died.

Maria "Masha" Nesmachnaya - the victim who was killed.

(Masha was going to turn 15 on the 27 December. She is survived by her mother, stepfather and two brothers (one older and one younger who is also attending the same gymnasium), grew up in a religious family. Was mainly interested in cooking, sewing, knitting; also played the guitar and attended music school. According to her mom, she dreamed about becoming a doctor and saving people's lives in the future. Masha's mom described her as a type of person who preferred to avoid conflicts and was on good terms with everyone. In fact, she talked about Alina in a positive manner - saying that she's quiet, but nice and kind.)

Timofey B - shot in the left forearm, thigh, knee and chest

Petr E. - in the lung; his spleen, back, lower back and shoulder were damaged as well.

Timur D. - shot in the shoulder by six bullets: four of them wounded him and flew out, passed through his body, the other two got stuck in it.

Evelina K. - was injured on the chest.

Vitalina D. - wasn't shot, but broke her leg, while trying to escape.

Ofelya Mkrtchyan - a teacher who covered students with her own body when Afanaskina opened fire on them (and also needed medical treatment after it, though not seriously; no injuries among adults were officially reported) - recalled that Alina said absolutely nothing during the whole thing. Despite teacher's attempts to attract her attention, calling her name, she didn't even look at the woman, instead being focused on shooting classmates. Ofelya didn't notice any warning signs before tragic events. In her eyes Alina was a „capable, tactful and diligent” student, „calm, polite and responsible” on daily basis.

The Aftermath

The firearm Alina used during the massacre belongs to her father, Dmitry Afanasyev/Afanaskin, who is currently under police custody of investigation on how she procured the firearm. Dmitry denied all accusations of domestic abuse, claiming that he loves his children, worked as much as he could to provide them everything they needed and "was very happy about becoming a father again after so many years”. He didn't favor any of the twins; they were close with each other, shared the room, studied well.

As a former athlete, Dmitry was often encouraging his children to physical activities and healthy lifestyle since they were little - Alina and Daria were even attending dance school (in a group centered around hip-hop) for at least two years.

However, around a year prior to the shooting, Dmitry started spending less time at home due to work. People from the neighborhood were seeing sisters mostly alongside their mother.

Alina didn't leave any journal, suicide note or explanation behind her actions. All Telegram channels, claiming to be created by her, are fake.

Investigators suspected that Dasha might know about her sister's plans, but during interrogation she denied everything. When her parents appeared at the school right after the attack, girl started crying and kissing her mother's hands in panic. She also couldn't sleep for three days because of the trauma caused by events.

The media started pointing at bullying as the most possible motive. In the general opinion of teachers, students, parents - no such thing happened, Alina wasn't harassed; isolating herself from school peers was her own choice. She didn't have any enemies and treated everyone equally, just didn't want to talk with them due to her introverted attitude. "There was no bullying. We don't know why she did it. We can't say anything else” - stated girl's classmate. Although, another student interviewed right on the day of events, said the exact opposite: "Yes, they bullied her, but not always! She was normal until they told her: you can't do anything to us, you're helpless.”

A note found in Alina's backpack with a text about how she „needs to meet with a friend”, that attracted a bit of attention, was most likely some kind of a grammar assignment, as the matching diagrams about parsing sentences were written nearby.

The motive is unknown so you can come up with your own conclusion as to why.

All of the injured victims have already left hospitals. Gymnasium is open again, but class 8A was transferred to distance learning. Masha was buried in Bryansk's central cemetery, while Alina - in the small village between Bryansk and Seltso.

Hello Hello !!! I figured that maybe I should do a little introduction post since there's actually a chance I may post stuff on here lol

My name is Olliver and I'm a 15yo trans man who is bisexual with a preference for masc leaning folks. Starscream regressing with Orbit (TFA). Orbit is my s/i and a regression sona on occasions. SFW regression only. Kink/NSFW/variants DNI, proshippers/variants DNI.

-Orbit is usually a quiet and meek regressor while Starscream is loud and demanding.

-Orbit is an infant/toddler or kitten regressor, while Starscream is a prince/royalty regressor.

-Soundwave and/or Blitzwing usually care for both of them, as Starscream is still rebuilding his trust with Megatron and currently doesn't want him as a caregiver.

-When Orbit is having negative regression to the point of tears, Starscream puts aside his usual agere demeanor so he can comfort his baby bro.

-Same with Orbit, when Starscream is negatively regressing, Orbit babbles at him and tends to him as best he can.

-Unfortunately sometimes Orbit can only be comforted by his mama so the playdate is put on pause while Mama Megatron tends to him.

-They both have echololalia as a stim so they'll babble at each other back and forth, repeating words and phrases they like.

-When Starscream plays Prince, Orbit is his little princely brother whom he’s showing the way of royalty.

-Wooden blocks and such are fun, Starscream builds a stack just to knock it over while Orbit has a careful building plan.

-Barbies and other dolls always come with huge stories of drama in the dreamhouse. They add their other toys, like dinosaurs and horses, into the mix to create a fleshed-out world. (Soundwave records some of their stories to listen back to because it gives him peace, knowing he’s taking care of his family and they’re happy. Orbit and Starscream also like to go back and listen to the details when playing the next time- gotta have the lore!)

-Orbit prefers to sit up when coloring, while Starscream enjoys tummy time.

-Megatron was hesitant about it at first (due to his own fears and anxieties surrounding Orbit), but eventually Starscream and Orbit started to enjoy taking naps together. They arrange a bunch of blankets to make a blanket fort and nap inside. When they watch kid’s shows and movies in the fort, Megatron is allowed to sit quietly nearby- slowly building trust with Starscream again (like a feral cat).

-Blitzwing loves cuddling Orbit in his lap, but Starscream prefers to cuddle quietly with a stuffie.

-They do cuddle together a lot, especially when taking naps.

-Both of them purr. Loudly.

Bonus! Rushback and Kickstorm, belonging to @monkie-deej and @monkie-keebs respectively.

-Rushback and Kickstorm will babysit when they're available.

-Rushback is fascinated seeing the psychology behind regression and how it heals trauma.

-Rushback will sit on the floor with the kids while Kickstorm sits on the couch.

-The twins usually draw and do other artsy things when everything is calm, letting the regressing pair do their things.

-Sometimes they both also regress and get to join the fun directly!

Since you are taking petre requests, how about puppy regressor Tanjiro with kitten regressed Nezuko? With caregivers Tengen or Rengoku, or whoever you feel like ^^ Could be a fic or head canons, whatever you feel up to doing, just wanted to leave you a suggestion :D Oh and to also say how much I enjoyed the petre fic you wrote with Mitsuri. It was super cozy to read <3<3<3

Tengen enjoyed watching the two siblings cuddle peacefully together. He knew that this would come to an end soon, but was happy to hold them for a moment.

As if on cue Tanjiro started to wiggle, eventually flopping out of Tengen’s lap. He immediately went to poke at his sister but Uzui was quick to grab the boy’s hand.

“Come on let’s keep our hands to ourselves.” Nezuko could be quite the beast if she didn’t get a proper nap.

Tanjiro grumbled, but knowing he wouldn’t be able to attack his sister with Uzui as a guard he eventually backed off. Instead the redhead chose to resume his earlier activities. Several balls and toys were spread over the floor. Tanjiro seemed insistent on gathering all of them. He managed to fit most of them within his arms, holding the last few by his teeth.

“Do you want me to throw one?” It was how Tengen managed to tire the children out in the first place.

Perking up Tanjiro took his entire collection and deposited them onto the couch beside Uzui. First he took some of the softer plushes and tucked them into Nezuko’s hold. She stirred slightly but Tengen didn’t scold the boy. Tanjiro backed up carefully before depositing one of the many balls into the waiting hand.

Tengen felt strange reeling in his strength. He made sure to toss the ball lightly enough that it would just land on the other side of the room instead of bursting through a wall (something he had learned the hard way).

Tanjiro scrambled after the toy, bright red and eye-catching. He let out a loud and happy yelp. As his feet pounded on the floor Nezuko perked up. She had sensed being left out of the fun.

When Tanjiro comes back, the ball in his mouth, he drops it onto Nezuko’s lap. She’s still in the process of waking up and just stares at the drool covered toy. With a slight pout she pushes the ball over to Uzui and huffs.

After another few throws the girl looks more awake. She watches with sharp eyes as her brother races around the room. Several times Tanjiro knocks the toy across the room instead of grabbing it and continues his race.

What ends up drawing her in is when Tanjiro begins to roll the ball slowly, bouncing it between his hands.

Tengen has been petting her for the last few minutes and the scratching is awfully nice. Nezuko considers ignoring her brother a bit longer, but she knows she’ll be able to convince Uzui for some attention later as well.

The girl drops of the couch, rather ungracefully, and rolls over to where Tanjiro is. She sits still until Tanjiro slows and stops moving. Then she strikes, snatching the ball away from him and tucking it underneath herself.

Uzui can already see where this is going. Tanjiro pauses and before trying to push his sister out of the way and earn his chosen prize. “There’s plenty of other toys,” he reminds the pair. They’re both fixated on the same red ball. While the siblings don’t truly fight they are starting to struggle as Tanjiro gets his hands on the toy.

Grabbing both children by the scruff Tengen kicks the ball underneath a chair before dropping them back down. It’s too far back for either to reach and their attention turns to the dozen of other playthings scattered throughout the room. With peace once again restored Uzui sinks onto the couch until it’s time to break up another fight.
