disney is a coward so I know they'll never do this, but given what we learned was SUPPOSE to happen between alex and stevie, I would still love a post-eloping for the reboot.

like just imagine alex and stevie as the Cool Gay Aunts(tm) for justin's kids (+ billie). they show up for the holidays and totally shower the kids with magical gifts, including a baby dragon for the boys (which does end up setting fire to their parents bed sheets). milo shows off a magic trick to his friends, using alex (since billie's not allowed to) sneakily casting spells from the bushes so the card really does dissapear from his hand, leaving his friends cheering (stevie smiling but refusing to admit to alex how cute is it). stevie has a motorcycle (which alex thinks is super hot but also refuses to admit) and while the kids aren't old enough for a ride, she does let them sit on it and rev the handles nice and loud while justin panics from the porch. they team up with all three kids to pull pranks on justin and even sometimes get giana in on a few harmless ones. maybe alex even uses her role on the tribunal to get stevie's records cleared, and they both start to advocate for a more fair way of distributing magic between families.

and billie could have an extra adult at her side! I know justin is suppose to fill the pseudo-dad role, but while billie spends her time with the russo's, also gets to spend her summers or whatever with her two cool wizard aunts. they encourage her to keep up with her studies but for the most part they just chill, letting billie indulge in a few sweets (knowing how health-conscious justin has forced his family to be) and sometimes in a pg-13 movie together. when she's there however, the house does turn into a prank war; guests are to be extremely careful when entering and encouraged to bring a separate pair of clothes.

I dunno it would just be super cool; alex and stevie reunited and I think the kids would love her too - plus watching their aunt who's always acted so aloof get all smiley and whatnot and I'm just imagining a scenario with alex and the kids like:

billie: why does stevie call you babygirl

alex: hey who wants to play the quiet game!!

#wizards of waverly place #wowp #wizards beyond waverly place #disney channel #I would LOVE a reappearance of stevie though just imagine it #even though billie has been training something happens where the council finally decides to strip her of her powers like alex warned about #alex and justin try going to talk to the council on billie's behalf but have to leave her behind #and when billie's all alone you suddenly see stevie slink from the shadows with a 'hey kid..'#billie is nervous at first but stevie says she actually wants to help her and that it's not fair what's happening to her #and says if billie comes with her then she can keep her powers and in a moment of worry billie makes the split decision to go with her #I dunno how alex finds out maybe roman sees it happen too late and says some girl took billie #'what girl??' 'I dunno! she was a wizard too - she kept her wand in her boot!'#and IMMEDIATELY alex knows what happened #alex eventually finds stevie and there's this VERY tense moment when they see each other #stevie still mad at alex for 'betraying' her (even if stevie was kinda right but nvm) and who's she's aligned with now #'you workin' for the man now russo? gone soft?' 'at least I'm not straight-up stealing kids'#alex still feeling a bit guilty about what she did to stevie but mad at her for taking billie #there's an almost fight (verbal or magical whichever) but in some outside chaos they loose billie #now they're forced to team up to find her #and although it's cold at first they both warm up again to each other having missed their friendship (even if it was short lived)#stevie quietly admiring how much further alex has gotten with magic and how she's excelled #and alex still having a soft heart for stevie wanting to help the wizards who got abandoned #anyway they find billie but the council is alerted to what happened and is now on their way to them to capture stevie #a cornered alex pleads with stevie saying she can persuade the council to let her go and while stevie's heart skips at that #she knows it's no use and uses her magic to create a pocket dimension to escape or something #but not before kissing alex on the corner of her lips and saying 'till next time russo - give that stuck-up council some hell for me'#freezing alex who's seconds from pulling her back and then disappears #billie enters and unfreezes alex and watches her face slowly turns crestfallen as she realizes #'do you think we'll ever see her again?' 'your guess is as good as mine kid..' '..do you want to?' '....lets head back home.'#WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE

I went into bg3 fully ready to have a good time and have done so despite many ways in which the game is not good and have not worried too much over various dramas about patch changes but my chill streak has finally ended and I am wailing gnashing my teeth etc. about patch 7 (the supposedly final one with story/content changes) not adding companion reactivity for any of the durge content in act 2

#gotta regain my chill about this. it doesn't change the good version of bg3 that exists in my head #but like. durge is literally the protagonist character. and a huge chunk of story is just bizarrely missing from act two #all the baddies recognize you and no one reacts #warden says you were an important guest no one reacts #kressa says she had a great time torturing you for weeks no one reacts #and it's so misaligned with companion reactivity for everything else. like #I am one of those players who goes around the camp circle talking to every single companion after anything even mildly important happens #to hear the couple of lines of dialogue they have about it #because they've got a couple of lines of dialogue about every plot development and significant moment in other companion storylines!#but they don't have a single word for enormous central plotline revelations about the player character #it makes the act 3 reactions bizarre too because everyone's shocked by what gortash says and it's like #literally everyone in moonrise was like 'oh hey it's you again' what did you THINK 😭#a lot of people complain about the resist!durge final scene after killing orin being lackluster #and yeah sure I feel it's lacking in a few ways but like. at least it exists.#a cutscene does play and afterwards the companions do react. ymmv on whether those reactions are impactful or fitting #but they do--crucially--exist #whereas in act 2 there is straight up nothing #when people say right in front of the companions 'hello fellow villain fancy seeing you back here again'#there is not even so much as a 'dude are you okay' after kressa talks about keeping durge prisoner and torturing them #okay okay it's fine I'm getting it out of my system I'm gonna be normal about this again #the companions had reactions in the good version that exists in my head 😔#scribblingface plays bg3 #okay actually also like larian has made so many changes based on fans complaining a lot about something #often changes that made the complaining people happy but pissed off everyone who already liked the current version #not weighing in on the merit of various specifics but it has struck me as a sometimes odd and unwise degree of #listening to what the players want. like just tell your story and accept that some parts won't please everyone #but THIS THING is universally agreed on by every durge player #because it's not something 'wrong' it's something completely absent that should have been there in order to align with the rest of the game #and yet. we don't get this change in the final update.

ngl i think i kind of was a genius for being like 'yeah this character is a scary killyou cannibal scary killer who scary kills you' and then realizing that the way my worldbuilding works out is that there's a nonzero chance that if you leave literally any body parts over they can just come back, depending on what they believe in their heart of hearts can kill them. Of course she'd start eating her kills. She probably tried normal stuff first and then realized it didn't work and she had to try harder if she wanted to actually keep them dead.

#red rambles #im working on a character who i made up years and years ago and wasnt even happy with then because he didnt seem to have enough like #interior thoughts he was just like a guy who killed people when he was stressed and his life was constantly stressful and then he killed on #person too many and they were like 'this is fucking untenable and he has to die' and then they killed him #which is soooooooooo absolutely nothing honestly. Like it works as a barebones summary but i want to stress there was actually straight up #nothing else there. the entire rest of his whole whatnot was just being entangled with Haven who is a different character who at the time #ALSO felt unsatisfyingly lacking in interiority but at lesat he had really complex motivations and action flowcharts. that werent just 'i #get grumpy and i just go kill some random person with no regard for what the consequences will be and then i am so mean and i kill you'#now theres a lot more happening. i really didnt. like.#okay so i had a Backstory worked out but it was vague because i didnt know what the fuck he WANTEDDDDDDD right like. i had no motivations a #literally all except 'oohhh i kill people ooohhh i like killing people ooohhh im erratic i kill people' and the background i HAD was like.#Upper class scion of some rich family whose family honest to god just did not like him very much and also [gestures vaguely] i guess he #maybe kicked dogs or something and then he ??nebulous timeline meets haven and then kills his sister or kills his sister and very quickly #thereafter meets haven but i usually lean toward the former because haven LOVES convincing people to kill their whole families its like #cathartic for him because he would love to kill his entire family but physically cannot do it. but like kind of the implications of this #as far as i was concerned given this is set in the mid 1800s was like. ehhh he's getting away with this because he's rich white and male an #it pays to turn a blind eye to his indiscretions or w/e. a genderswap means that she'd be subject to a lot more scrutiny on basis of like #misogyny. LOL. and i already had the preexisting 'hates half sibling' (i genderswapped the sister into a brother because why not) and 'hate #parents' and 'parents strongly dislike her' and 'unsettling' and it worked nicely to start giving me actual fucking. Literally anything to #work with there. because it means that by going off with Haven she walks out of one situation where she has like 0 agency into another one #and like to be clear i respect anyone who is sitting around in haven's general vicinity for snapping and just starting to kill people. me t #but this works. SOOOOOOOOOO much better for real #im still working the kinks out but like also this means that she wins. she wins like multiple times actually. she comes closer to killing #haven than anyone since he learned what fucking species he was and causes him more trouble in the interest of getting the FUCK out of there #than anyone else has and then she fucking gets what she was going for against literally every effort haven could've made over ~five decades #get owned loser.#every time i draw her i cant help it i write some shit like PLEASE JUST GET DIVORCED on it even though i wrote the fucking narrative i know #it will never fucking happen and thats why she does all this shit instead #in another world she'd be like the wildly capable owner of Raytheon 2 or some other shit like that. like she'd never be a nice or good #person but she wouldn't be dead. god she could be in charge of a country or some shit. Ggrrr I wish disenchantment was better. I binged it all because I'm sick somebody talk to me about this.

#the groening show on netflix #it had so much potential #and i did enjoy it!!! plenty of the characters were awesome #but it tried to be too big. wanted to incorporate too much. i didn't like beans magic. it got really repetitive #it felt like a lot of the movement between “lands” was super unnecessary. and took up a lot of time that could have been used in narrative #development #and you know the most fucked up part is that there was a Canon wlw couple that was end game AND I DIDNT EVEN LIKE THEM TOGETHERRR #and the last seasons egregious hyperfocus on love specifically romantic love like #it was cringe im sorry!!! not great writing #im glad beans relationship w her dad got better but i didnt like how instantanious it felt #also obv. i hate the whole thing with prince derek and his pixie gf. ew. really weird #but there was so much good and it couldve been great #i still enjoyed it but it fell short in so many ways #HOW DO YOU HAVE A QUEER GIRL COUPLE THAT I DONT LIKE!!! ME!!! the problem of the matter is i did internalize so much of what ex friend believed about me. even though i knew he was wrong and knew what was happening and tried to stop it and if i took more action to stop it would have been abusing power i held in a way i couldn't live with myself for.

WHICH I DID NOT DO #he was renting a room from my dad. for cheaper than he wouldve been able to find anywhere else. his brother was too #his brother didn't pay rent for over 6 months and my dad just forgave him the debt because my dad knew how much of a difference it wouldve #made when he was that age. and i had told him ex friend was family to me & my dad applied that to the brother too. bc he is a good person.#and one of the strongest parts of my support system. and i didn't say a word to him about what was happening until i knew he already had a #plan for when he would be ending ex friend's lease. so there would be no subconscious impact on ex friend's housing either #mgmt at work straight up asked me if i thought ex friend should be fired immediately multiple times and i'm in retrospect livid they put me #in that position but told them to go by the strike system in the employee handbook and to follow policy that ex friend knew perfectly. that #it couldn't be on me as acting assistant manager to choose #and after 10 months of workplace harassment i got a different job to save my life. ex friend didn't get fired.#he did saw trap shit to my brain!!!!!! jesus christ #he moved cross country to live with his long time gf he called his wife despite never having met irl. to a way more conservative state.#despite being gay. and she left him this summer lol #hadn't checked his twitter in over a year when it got pulled up frm an old link and i saw that. and when he was already at a low point too #me voice. oh no who could've seen this coming. from how you behave in every relationship in your life #may delete this in the morning. but i have to talk about it sometimes #i'm never reaching out for closure both bc he wouldn't give me any and because i know it would trigger him and i don't intentionally trigge #people. unlike him :)#vampire pit #like. i have to talk about it sometimes. i have to talk about it.#jam posts
