Disney banned an episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur called "The Gatekeeper," because of the current political climate in the US. So the episode is about Lunella's friend Brooklyn being targeted by the coach of a rival volleyball team, Greer, who found out she was trans and tried to stop her from playing. She even goes as far as to trap Brooklyn, Lunella and the others in the locker room, and will only let them out if they follow her "rules."
Brooklyn: "I'm trans, my very existence breaks Greer's rules, which means, as long as I'm a member of this team...we'll never escape..."
And they break out of the room specifically by breaking the rules. There's also an awesome video game-like scene where the team fights a monster-like version of Greer by throwing volleyballs at her, with streaks colored like the trans flag.
Tumblr media
Brooklyn: "It doesn't matter how many doors people like you slam in my face. With my fight, plus my crew backing me up, I'm always gonna find my way out."
This episode is EXACTLY what trans kids need right now, but no, Disney was too spineless to air the episode. They can claim for the 69420th time that XYZ is their first gay character, they can sell rainbow Mickey Mouse pins, they can put up pride month collections on Disney+, but it's clear that they only "support" the LGBTQ+ community when it's profitable for them.

Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur Pro-Trans Episode Reportely Banned Due Election Results However Disney Says It's Being "Held".
Over the past days there have been reports that an unreleased episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur won’t air on Disney Channel over its politically sensitive LGBTQ themes, people who worked on the show say.
Artists who worked on the show took to social media this week to lament that the episode had been “shelved because of which party that won the recent election,” likely referring to Donald Trump winning the presidency and Republicans garnering a majority in the U.S. House and Senate. Conservative politicians have campaigned to ban trans and non-binary student athletes competing in girl’s and women’s athletics in recent years.
The reaction from the industry and LGTBQ+ people was met with blackash mostly as the episode made itself availible trought illegal ways like Youtube and The Web Archive with fans of the show arguing that it was for the best since the show got canceled anyways, several members from the industry such as The Owl House creator Dana Terrace championed the piracy of the episode trought her social media like Blue Sky expressing dissapointment and anger on Disney being "cowardly" arguing that "trans kids need episodes and media like this more than ever."
However today a Disney Branded Television representative came with an statement via Polygon that the episode was not banned, the episode was being held till a future airdate likely till 2025 when the second half of the final season airs.
"The decision to hold the episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was made more than a year ago and was not based the result of recent U.S. elections, in this case, this decision was based on this specific episode, not because of the character being trans, The episode is NOT specifically “banned” from airing, but being “held., Disney is “really proud” of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, noting that its target age range is kids age 6-12 and that the company is “respectful of the role that parents play in the discussions they have with their children.” --- Disney Branded Television Spokeperson

I really wished we would have gotten to see more of Felony Carl and Globby interacting with each other while the latter look like different things as even if Felony Carl loves Globby for who he is, moments like this would have been extra sweet and possibly funny depending on if they conversed. ;) I'm just imagining Globby making loud purring noises now if something like this ever happened. ;) ^_^ <3<3<3

Just Sing (Disney Villain Karaoke)
Tumblr media
The moon hung high in the starlit sky, casting silvery light on the lonely expanse of Mozenrath's citadel. Perched atop a jagged cliff, the citadel loomed like a dark specter over the land. But tonight, the shadows of the fortress seemed even darker, as a motley crew of Disney villains gathered at its foot.
“Are you sure he’s home?” Ursula squinted, her tentacles twitching with impatience.
“Of course he’s home,” Scar scoffed, flicking his tail. “He’s always home brooding. Now, let’s go knock on that door already.”
“Open up! We know you’re in there!” called a voice far too cheerful for Mozenrath’s taste. It was none other than Dr. Doof, the scientist whose ambition was limited by the desire to rule only a mere small section known as the Tri-State, flanked by Maleficent, Ursula, and other notorious villains both movie and television shows who had conspired to invite him to a karaoke night.
In a fit of annoyance, Mozenrath bolted from his throne and stormed to the door, flinging it open just enough to poke his head out. “What do you want?” he snapped, glaring with his piercing icy dark brown eyes.
“Mozenrath. We’d love for you to join us for a karaoke night. We’ve got a whole lineup of songs planned, and you’d really bring something special.” Maleficent announced, her voice dripping with charm.
“Thanks, but no thanks.” He snapped, his voice echoing with disdain and the authority of someone who had little patience for frivolity. “I’m busy, and whatever you’re planning is not of interest to me.”
Hades leaned in to give it another try. “Hey, Mozy! We know you’ve got some hidden songs in that dark little heart of yours!”
“Come on!” Cruella urged, her hands on her hips. “Don't be such a gloomy Gus. We need your…unique talents!”
Then, before they could say another word, he slammed the door shut, “Go away!” he barked, leaving the villains baffled and murmuring among themselves.
“Charming as always,” Hades muttered as the villains retreated, dejected but undeterred. “He’s such a downer.”
“Talk about an ego!” Shego hissed with disdain.
“Let it go,” Maleficent shrugged, a mischievous grin broadening her lips. “We can start without him.”
Hidden behind the shadows of a nearby stone arch, two curious figures—Mayla and Sadira—witnessed the exchange.
“Let’s sneak in and see what he’s really like,” whispered Mayla, her eyes dancing with mischief. “He can’t be that scary, can he?”
Sadira nodded, her heart racing at the thrill of the adventure. They slipped through the cracks of the weathered walls, making their way into the dimly lit interior of the citadel. Inside the dark and musty hallways, they followed the sound of a haunting melody that enveloped the air. Hesitating only for a moment, they found themselves standing in an open chamber, their breath caught in their throats. To their surprise, they found Mozenrath, uncharacteristically relaxed, seated atop a darkened throne. Shadows danced around him as he fiddled absentmindedly with an enchanted artifact. And there, to their disbelief, he began to sing—a hauntingly beautiful rendition of “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads.
“Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est! fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa...” His voice, velvety and rich, echoed off the stone walls. Each note revealed layers of emotion, a complexity that neither of the girls expected from the cold sorcerer. His voice resonated through the room, a dark and mesmerizing timbre that sent chills down their spines. The confident yet tortured lyrics emanated from him, blending with the desolate ambiance around them. As he sang, his eyes were closed, lost in a world of emotions far beyond the cold tyranny he usually wielded.
Mayla nudged Sadira, eyes wide. “We have to talk to him. This is gold!”
“Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?” he crooned, oblivious to the two trespassers watching him.
Finally, the song ended, the young women could not help but applaud, a small but enthusiastic clap echoing in the void. Startled, Mozenrath whipped around, his face flushing with a mix of shock and embarrassment startled to see Mayla and Sadira lingering in the doorway. “What are you doing here?” he demanded, hands on his hips, struggling to regain his composure.
Mayla grinned, “We snuck in! You have an amazing voice!”
“We heard you singing,” Sadira admitted, unable to contain her excitement. “Why don’t you ever share it with anyone?”
“Because I’m embarrassed,” Mozenrath replied, crossing his arms tightly as if to shield himself from their praise. “This isn’t the sorcerer’s image! I conjure powerful spells, command dark magic! Singing is…for jesters and simpler folk.”
“Nonsense!” Sadira chimed in, stepping closer. “Your voice is incredible, far too good for you to keep to yourself! Why hide it?”
“Yeah! Why don’t you sing for everyone else?” Mayla added, her eyes wide with admiration.
Mozenrath crossed his arms defensively, the distant, brooding demeanor returning, though a hint of pink tinged his cheeks. “I never let anyone hear me sing," he admitted quietly. “I’m embarrassed by my talent. I like to think I have a nice voice, but… it’s not for the likes of them.”
The girls exchanged looks of understanding. They could see that beneath the sorcerer’s icy exterior lay a heart that longed for connection but feared judgment.
“But you could be part of something special!” Sadira urged. “With your voice, you’d shine brighter than the rest! You don’t have to hide.”
Mozenrath hesitated, the thoughts wrapping around his mind like chains. The fear of ridicule loomed large, yet there was a flicker of desire within him, one that wanted to embrace the chaos of life rather than shun it. “I don’t…I don’t think they’d appreciate it,” he finally said.
“Maybe not,” Sadira chimed in softly, “but we would. You have friends in us, Mozenrath.”
“Then you should sing for us!” Mayla urged, stepping forward. “Let us be the first to hear you. We promise not to tell anyone else. It could be our little secret!”
Mozenrath paused, contemplating their request as the shadows swirled hesitantly. With an exhale that seemed to release the tensions of his vanity, he sighed. “Fine. But only because I’m in a good mood,” he relented, a small smirk creeping onto his face.
With that, he launched into another verse, the room filled with the eerie yet melodic tones of his voice.
“I've been lurking in the shadows, with a clenched fist~
Meanwhile, you’ve all been living in luxury, in privilege, in bliss~
Cassim, Aladdin, Jasmine, and the ones in power~
Your hypocrisy and lies, I'll expose in this hour~
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain~
Cassim, you left me to suffer in the night~
Aladdin, you dance in the sunlight, so bright~
Jasmine, your affairs blinds you to my plight~
Sultan, you sit on your throne safe and tight~
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain~
Jafar, you ignore the cries, that you couldn't understand~
All you care about is your schemes so grand~
Your power knows no bounds~
But I see through your lies, the truth resounds~
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain~
For so long, I had no choice but to play Destane’s game~
You call me a villain, but I won't take the blame~
No more hiding, no more lies~
I'll shout my truth, I'll rise~
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain~
You think you're righteous, but you're wrong~
My pain is real, my suffering long~
Destane's cruel hands, the chains that tied me down~
But now I'll break free, I'll take back my crown~
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain~
Cassim, you may be my father, but you failed me~
Aladdin, you got your happy ending, don't you see~
Jasmine, you preach about love and fairness~
But where were you when Destane's darkness filled the airiness?!
Listen up, hear my voice~
I am the product of a twisted choice~
Destane's abuse, the torment that remain~
You turned a blind eye, it's time to explain…”
Mayla and Sadira settled into the moment, captivated by this unexpected side of the man who held so much power, yet felt the need to guard his emotions like a dragon hoarding treasure. As Mozenrath sang, his voice wove a tale of feelings long buried, and the two girls stood transfixed, realizing that sometimes, behind the masks of villainy, there lies a heart waiting to break free. And so, in that dimly lit chamber of shadows and enchantment, an unlikely bond began to form, stitched together by songs and secrets—a true testament to the power of music that even the darkest of souls couldn’t resist.
