a talking point i often see when defending the consumption of dark content is that it’s a coping mechanism for those with trauma which is very valid and true but i also want to make this abundantly clear: you can like dark content for no reason. you can enjoy fucked up shit in fiction because it’s enjoyable and entertaining. trauma is not required as a ticket for entry. enjoy your dark content bc it’s fun and sexy and don’t let anyone take that away from you

Hi, Katy! Longtime lurker here. I'm usually too shy to ever say anything, but after collecting all the available volumes I finally started reading the Magia Record manga, but they only go up to volume seven and I don't see anything about when the next one is coming out. After some digging I found that there's more volumes in Japanese, but Yen Press doesn't seem to be in a hurry to catch up. I wanted to ask if you knew of any place I could read those volumes in English? If one exists. Just any way I can continue reading the story, and you seemed like the person to ask! Seven ended with such a cliffhanger, I need more!

Hello! I'm terribly sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no fan translations have gone past volume 5 (and they're very spotty at best). The Yen Press releases are the best and only way to read the manga. But yeah, we're up to volume 11 in Japanese but Yen Press hasn't released a volume in over a year. It's pretty strange.

That being said, you can still enjoy the rest of the story of Magia Record in video format! Magia Union Translations has translations and footage from the game. Here is the playlist for Arc 1.

I believe volume 7 leaves off at the end of Chapter 6 of the game, btw!

Mall haul from today! Hot Topic and Box Lunch had some great stuff. I think my favorites are the Crystal Star mirror and the Jojo shirt. I also got really lucky with the blind boxes (the Sailor Moon pins and magnets) and got the types I wanted the most.

So I had a really cool dream a few weeks ago. In my dream, I was at an anime convention, and Bandai was selling dolls of the Sailor Senshi in their Princess forms that were almost life-sized!! They were also normal sized dolls of the Sailor Senshi in their Princess forms as well, and the dresses on the dolls were poofy and so well made. Plus, one of the almost life-sized dolls could walk, as well! And in my dream, they were a bunch of Princess Saturn dolls, both normal sized dolls and almost life-sized dolls! That was such a nice dream I had! I thought it was real! 😭

I would kill to get official dolls of the Senshi in their Princess forms, I'm so serious 😭
