“Trans” in “transgender” / “transsexual” is a prefix.

The prefix is short for “transition.”

That is why we call our transitions “transitioning.”

If you were called a female at your birth, no matter if you were intersex and they preformed a genital ‘corrective’ surgery, you cannot transition from female to female. You just change your style or you take hormones to prevent you from having a high risk of cancer.

Why would we use “trans” if this isn’t always the case? How can you argue that the words we use in the community are not indicative or a reflection of our reality? We use the wrong words for fun? No. That’s nonsensical.

Saying you’re ftmtf is someone being an attention-seeking valor-stealing dumbass. Intersex people are NOT inherently trans.

i’ll be the one to say it: there’s no such thing as “afab trans women”. if you were assigned female at birth and you “relate to trans women”: guess what. that’s because we’re human beings. to say “i was assigned female at birth, and identify as a woman, but im not a cis woman, i identify as a trans woman” you are inherently saying “trans women are a different gender to cis women”. being intersex does also not entitle people assigned female at birth to identify as trans women; there are, in fact, actual intersex trans women, assigned male at birth, who are justifiably fucking peeved at their experiences & language being co-opted by people who fundamentally aren’t confined by the limitations of transmisogyny.

People need to stop blaming 'parasocial relationships' when it's revealed to the public that a famous person has done something controversial (or even a crime) and the public is upset. 'I can't believe xxx did that!' doesn't always mean that the person who said it has a parasocial relationship with xxx.
