My heart rate’s been… not high, but HIGHER, lately, even at resting. I’m wondering why. Theories:
1) I’ve been pushing myself harder with adding foods lately, including some that are higher in histamine production, and maybe I shouldn’t be.
2) I’m taking my blood pressure 9 times out of 10 at my desk, with my full spectrum lamp on, and I haven’t ruled out the possibility that I am allergic to light.
Either way I’ve kind of just decided to cope with it for the time being, because frankly, if I’m tolerating things Well Enough I need whatever nutrition sources I can get, and I think we’ve all agreed my tendency toward seasonal depression on top of standard issue depression is worse for me than whatever novel allergic reactions my body can produce.
Fun times.
#mcas#chronic illness#mental illness#disability#food mention#depression#seasonal affective disorder#like I have standard dysthymia no question about it#but also the winter makes it unambiguously worse#so we use the sun lamp and I continue to take heavy Vitamin D supplements because I need Much#my doctors and I have pretty much universally concluded that all other symptoms are secondary to keeping the depression handled#this is why I like my doctors I know I’ve gotten lucky with them#it’s easier to treat tachycardia than to try and manage treatment resistant depression.

Is Exposure Therapy Good for Someone Who Struggles with Agoraphobia?
Agoraphobia refers to a fear of public spaces. It's a deep-rooted issue that disproportionally affects women. Generally, individuals with agoraphobia will experience fears and anxieties. Many will also suffer panic attacks, creating negative ties to a specific location.
This disorder can be debilitating and more complex than most realize. It often stems from bad experiences in the past, and the intuitive coping mechanisms people use only worsen it.
A counsellor for agoraphobia can use many treatments to help individuals overcome their fears. But is exposure therapy a good choice?
Understanding Exposure Therapy and Agoraphobia
Agoraphobia often pushes people to avoid scenarios that trigger anxiety. Exposure might seem counterintuitive, but it can make a significant difference.
It works so well because it challenges one's gut reaction. If you have agoraphobia, you may attempt to overcome your fears and purposely put yourself in situations that could trigger anxieties. It's impossible to avoid public spaces entirely. But whenever you start to feel those discomforts creep up, you may quickly escape the situation to prevent physical symptoms. For example, it's common for people to remove themselves from a problem to avoid panic attacks.
However, that reactionary escape only reinforces fear. Instead of allowing yourself to calm down and focus on the mental aspects of agoraphobia, you leave. That location then becomes a trigger you'll likely avoid in the future.
Exposure therapy is a great way to challenge those triggers. People who see a counsellor for agoraphobia may get the opportunity to get interoceptive exposure therapy. The treatment is about recreating feared experiences.
Therapists can simulate a triggering environment before helping you step into the real thing. The goal is to teach you how to cope and to shift your perspective on the situation. Mental health experts often combine exposure therapy with cognitive behavioural therapy to help you understand why those adverse reactions occur. By changing your view on the situation, you can learn to challenge your emotional response and overcome your fears.
Treating agoraphobia takes time and work, but it's a worthy investment into your mental well-being that can improve your life.

cheesy could possibly have narcissism personality disorder.
He’s narcissistic. As someone who grew up with multiple narcissists in their life, I can totally see some symptoms. for one, he doesn’t take criticism on his humor well, he’ll act violent as a response. he constantly treated Microphone like shit. Anyone notice the fact, his “apology” was just him victimizing himself?? He possibly sees her as lesser, which can be a symptom. He sees her as less worthy than himself, and this can cause him to treat her horribly.
I’m not totally sure about this one, only because I haven’t seen II season 2 in so long. But, he fantasizes about being a comedian, a successful comedian at that.
With the way he acts, it’s safe to say he definitely sees himself as better, or, more deserving of special treatment.
And I’m not trying to diss on a personality disorder, but the way Cheesy is, this affects him to be disrespectful, etc. and he most likely, will never learn/change. Cheesy also in general, a horrible character besides this. Silver spoon, Trophy and maybe Tissues (I haven’t seen season 2 in so long, don’t take my word for them) could also possibly have narcissism personality disorder. But theirs a huge difference between them and Cheesy, they learned and tried to change, Trophy for example, Cheesy is yet to do that.

Twilight.
by molly
_ As summer slowly but surely creeps into fall, you feel nothing but comfort surrounding the topic, you feel completely immune to seasonal affective disorder (depression when the seasons change) because you love seeing the world turn from green to orange to white and blue, life feels more and more comfortable as fall arrives and the summer gets cooler and cooler, your life feels how the songs Roslyn by Bon Iver and St. Vincent, Waste by KxllSwxtch, Cardigan by Taylor Swift, Master of None by Beach House, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, and Possibility by Lykke Li sound, your life and world seems to be shifting into your desired lens colour from the movies, the weather changes when it’s fall to always be rainy, darker, and foggier, your life feels extremely nostalgic like the Twilight movies and it almost feels like it’s 2008-2012 again, no matter what or where your life or what your environment is like; life feels nostalgic again and like the Twilight movies have come to life.
_ Now only is your soul beautiful but your physically beautiful too, you’re just like a vampire with the way that you’ll probably never look older physically, and when the time comes where you do start to look older physically you still look as beautiful as you were when you were younger, even when you get wrinkles or grey or white hair you don’t feel the need to get fillers or dye your hair or anything because of how beautiful you’d look naturally, as of right now you think that you’re beautiful or handsome, you have no insecurities when it comes to looks or your body because even if you don’t like it it’s easy for you to change but you still love and accept yourself as is, even though basically everything about you is beautiful/handsome and perfect the most notable thing about your physical appearance is your skin, your skin is like the moon, not in terms of colour but more because of how naturally glowing and alluring your skin is, your skin almost looks sparkly because of how flawless it is, celebrities and rich people can try all they want to get skin like yours with their expensive treatments and serums or whatever but no one can seem to replicate the naturalness of your perfect skin.
_ You don’t even need to say a word and people like you and want to be with you whether it be in a romantic or platonic sense, it seems like you’re never alone because of how much people flock towards you, everyone talks about how beautiful and attractive you are, even if you seem like a “loner” you still have people who talk about you and how much they love you and admire you, even if you do happen to be someone who’s more quiet and uninterested in having an intense social life of partying and trying basically everything you have no problem being social, (unlike Bella lmaoo) you’re not awkward and even if you are people find it interesting rather than immediately judging you for it, no matter what your personality or life is like people still like you, since you have pretty or handsome privilege people are always coddling, pampering, spoiling, praising, and just overall loving you because they find you so cute (ib Aleya ofcc), you just scream Twilight vibes because of your aesthetic and the way that you dress, you’re always finding Twilight-esque clothing (whatever that may be to you).
_ You find a partner/significant other who is just like your desired character from Twilight, regardless of who that is; the quote from Edward to Bella where he says “You’re like my own personal brand of heroin” is exactly how they feel about you, they seem to always be looking out for you + the of the affirmations from my “Can I show my love for you?” subliminal.
Extras I added
_ Manifest people into your life that are like/look like the characters that you want from Twilight
_ When winter comes around, it’s never too cold for you, you’re immune to freezing + you’re always warm even in -50 or colder (I’m Canadian so)
_ If you want to move towns/cities to have this aesthetic, you suddenly have an opportunity to do so
_ You’re never on your phone/social media because of how interesting and adventurous your life has become
_ You can manifest any of the things in this subliminal for other people

If it's alright for me to ask a second question (🤭), you said "Duty Bound" is the Juvie AU. What else can you say?
No problem! I appreciate you asking, Chloe! 🫶💕
I'm afraid I might end up repeating the original post, but I'll try to delve into it more.
So, basic premise: Hinata is a troubled teen. She's still a dandere, super withdrawn, mysterious and gloomy. The lack of disobedience in her behavior inside juvie is perplexing to the seasoned counselor, Naruto, that works at the all-girl facility she gets sent to.
He's used to the girls that come in there to be mouthy and promiscuous, they either come from female gangs, have personality disorders, or got in trouble for prostituting themselves. Their behavior is so predictable that they can never get a rise out of him, and he's able to see right through them, too.
Except for Hinata.
Naruto's life is pretty secure. He's good at his job, he gets results, and his girlfriend of two years brightens his days.
Maybe he comes from a family of troubled women, so he entered this line of work. His distant cousin Karin, even his own mother. Helping others who can't help themselves is in his nature, it's his calling.
He has to chip away at Hinata's walls in order to help reform her. Because she becomes his first challenge in years, he becomes a bit obsessed with her, bringing work home with him at times.
Eventually, he can't deny he harbors some sort of affection for her, though he doesn't understand when it happened. Maybe she brings out his hero complex, gives him more purpose than his own girlfriend and fails to notice when he's begun to neglect her. He thinks he's not being inappropriate and that his girlfriend is being selfish.
Hinata, who is good in every conceivable way, and very much a victim of circumstance, may be the worst and best thing that's ever happened to him.
So, the idea was inspired by a doujin where the FMC developed a sexual interest in middle-aged men due to a childhood trauma (the hentai depicts her as once bothered by the experience, but the doujin depicts her as unbothered). I was thinking Hinata became one of those promiscuous girls, too, but she never sold herself. She's kind of nymphy in that sense, like she just has this compulsion she needs to scratch, and it is due to fetishing her own trauma. She may have a very subtle way of hitting on older men, like Naruto, where her innocence cannot be easily questioned. She's going to be very sneaky trouble for him. And Naruto will succumb to desperate measures to cure her sickness. 🤭
Naturally, he has to keep this a secret from everyone.
It's not just his girlfriend or his bosses, it's the other girls in juvie too, who've been trying for months to drag him off his pedestal and get in his pants. If they find out he's exploitable after all, he'll be targeted by them and he'll never be able to complete Hinata's treatment. 😏😈

🌳Separate from Nature, we struggle🌳
✨Numerous studies indicate that spending time in nature is associated with reduced stress levels and improved mental well-being.
✨Quite a bit of research suggests that exposure to green spaces can enhance mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
✨Regular nature walks have been linked to improved cognitive function and increased attention span.
✨Engaging with natural environments has been shown to lower cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress.
✨Access to green spaces is correlated with a lower risk of developing mental health disorders.
✨Gardening activities have been found to promote relaxation and alleviate symptoms of depression.
✨Spending time in natural settings is associated with enhanced creativity and improved problem-solving skills.
✨Nature-based interventions are increasingly recognized as complementary to traditional mental health treatments.
✨Views of nature from windows in healthcare settings have been linked to quicker recovery times for patients.
✨Children with regular exposure to nature exhibit improved attention spans and reduced symptoms of ADHD.
✨Regular contact with nature is linked to lower blood pressure, improved immune function, and better overall physical health.
✨Being near water, such as oceans or lakes, has been associated with additional mental health benefits, including increased feelings of tranquility and relaxation.
✨Nature exposure, especially during sunlight hours, is considered a valuable component in managing symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Nature is our support system, we are a part of it. Not greater than it, not separate from it, a piece of it. We belong to nature and the further we move away from it and ravage it, the sicker we become.

Introduction!
I am @epic-sorcerer and I have many rare parts of myself that others may be curious about. I wanted to put myself out there as someone who is willing to ask any questions about this topics, weather if it is for general curiosity or even help with characters with similar situations. I intend this to be an ask-based blog so participating will keep it running.
I have extensive knowledge of queer and disability studies in a general sense and would love to answer any questions pertaining to these subjects.
Feel free to ask how different parts of me interact with each other!
My gender is fluid and changes based on the baremetric pressure. I am also bisexual, go by he/they/fae, and use xenogenders.
I have a rare neurological disorder called amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome. Here is more about it. On my journey to master my nervous system for my amps treatment, I learned how to resqedual my hot flashes to a specific date and time and last a specific duration!
I have ADHD, seasonal affective disorder, dyselxia, dyscalculia, and anxiety. These are not rare but I mgiht as well put them here
I have conversion disorder which is like amps but with less focus on pain and more general weird shit.
I have autonomic dysfunction. This is a form of Dysautonomia and is basically AMPS disguising itself as POTS. It works just like amps exept I have to drink mroe water and eat more salt.
I am an age regressor. I started last year and regress to all different ages. My therapist also says that my age regression is deeper than what she has personally seen before, and mimics the meditative depth of psychedelics.
I am a four time wheelchair user, and currently using one.
Also I grew up with my mom who is interfaith pagen and I eventually decided to believe in it as well.

Debunking the House M.D Fabry’s Disease episode!
So, some background! I have Fabry’s Disease (I was diagnosed with it in 2020 after a chain of family diagnosis’s). It’s a pretty rare condition so there isn’t much media that has ever brought it up. So when I saw that House MD, the “he needs mouse bites to live” toxic gay doctor show had an episode on it, I had to check it out. Btw this is a *long* post.
Some background on Fabry’s Disease itself (you can’t know what they did wrong if you don’t know what the disorder is!). It’s a rare X-linked genetic condition caused by the build up of a fatty substance in the cells- in layman’s terms? The Recycling Plant of my cells doesn’t work- and because the cells can’t recycle the fatty globules they just litter. This causes many problems as the fat messes up wherever it ‘lands’ (I am streaching this metaphor to its breaking point I fear)- this could be the heart, the nerves, the brain, the eyes, the sweat glands- anywhere! There are many different symptoms associated with Fabry’s Disease- two people could have Fabry’s Disease but be affected completely differently by it!
In any case, it’s House MD time. The episode in question is episode 2 season 6 ‘Epic Fail’.
It starts out with a VR game developer (the episodes patient) saying that his hands [feel like they] are on fire. While it is correct that this is a symptom of the disease- nerve damage caused by the cells being fucked (in fact, I have this symptom myself- I take *a lot* of gabapentin for neuropathic pain), the manner in which he responded to it made it seem like he was experiencing it for the first time. This is strange because this symptom is usually the first you experience- my hands and feet have hurt like this since I was around 5 years old (within the past year or so my knees has also started to hurt in the same manner). If you are wondering what it feels like (unmedicated) imagine that tingling feeling of pins and needles. Now imagine that those pins and needles are rusty and molten hot. The redness of his hands whilst feeling the pain was correct (my hands/feet/knee also swell up slightly when aggravated by movement as well as turning red and hurting like a bitch)!
While there is a later-onset type of Fabry’s Disease which could explain why he is only now feeling these symptoms- though that usually just shows itself though renal or cardiac problems- and with less severe symptoms overall. They also don’t mention this as a possibility in the episode.
After a couple of failed tests (why the doctors didn’t just ask if anyone in his family has had similar symptoms is beyond me- it’s a genetic disease after all), they find that the patient has a thickened left ventricle in his heart- this is in fact a symptom (I have to have bi-annual check ups to make sure that my heart hasn’t thickened)! People with Fabry’s Disease are a *high* risk of both heart attacks and strokes.
After this the doctors come up with even more incorrect theories. The patient then complains of a 3 hour erection. This is *not* a fucking symptom. I genuinely don’t know where the writers pulled this from (their arses most likely).
After even more failed tests and treatments the patients lymph nodes swell up- particularly on his neck. And while Lymphoedema can a symptom of Fabry’s Disease it is *very, very* rare, and only affects the arms or legs.
After the doctors start the patient on steroids to treat his lymph node swelling he starts hallucinating and has a high fever. This is also definitely not a symptom of Fabry’s Disease (though maybe it was meant to be a reaction to steroids?).
After putting the patient in an ice bath for a couple of hours and getting the diagnosis wrong again, the doctor finally cracks it! It’s Fabry’s Disease! Did he come to this conclusion through genetic test? No, of course not! That would have been reasonable! He came to the conclusion because the patient didn’t have pruney fingertips after being in the ice bath for so long. Only- that’s completely wrong. Your fingers can still prune in water when you have Fabry’s Disease- mine do! I’ve got to be honest- that ending pissed me the fuck off- and that’s why I wrote this long-ass post!
I hope you enjoyed this and maybe learned a thing or two about my genetic disorder! Here are some websites to learn more about Fabry’s:
<https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/fabry-disease/>
<https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/fabry-disease>
<https://www.fabry.com.au/signs-symptoms/>
TLDR:
In the Fabry’s Disease episode of House the patient has several symptoms. Some are right, most are wrong. The symptoms are=
- A Burning feeling in the Hands, also causing redness ✅ (though dramatised)
- Thickened Heart causing a heart attack ✅
- 3 Hour Erection ❌
- Swollen Lymph Nodes ❓(very very unlikely, also not in the same place his Lymph Nodes swelled up. Dramatised)
- Fever and vivid hallucinations ❌
- Fingers not pruning after long exposure to water ❌

🍁Welcome to Fall/Autumn🍁 | Part 2
We've all heard of seasonal depression, but did you know it is a real medical condition? The Cleveland Clinic states, "Seasonal depression, also called seasonal affective disorder (SAD), is a type of depression. It’s triggered by the change of seasons and most commonly begins in late fall. Symptoms include feelings of sadness, lack of energy, loss of interest in usual activities, oversleeping, and weight gain." Preparing for fall to prevent or alleviate seasonal depression, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), involves proactive steps to maintain your mental and emotional well-being as the days get shorter and the weather becomes colder.
Here are some strategies to help you prepare for fall and mitigate the symptoms of SAD:
Light Therapy: Consider investing in a light therapy box, also known as a lightbox. These devices mimic natural sunlight and can help alleviate the symptoms of SAD. Use the lightbox in the morning for about 20-30 minutes to regulate your circadian rhythm and boost your mood.
Maintain a Regular Schedule: Stick to a consistent daily routine, including regular wake-up and sleep times. This can help regulate your body's internal clock and improve your mood.
Get Outside: Make an effort to spend time outdoors, even on cloudy days. Exposure to natural light, even when it's overcast, can be beneficial. Take short walks during daylight hours or eat lunch outside if possible.
Exercise Regularly: Engaging in regular physical activity has been shown to be effective in combating depression. Find an indoor or outdoor exercise routine that you enjoy, such as yoga, dancing, or jogging.
Healthy Eating: Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Consider adding foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon or flaxseeds, which may have mood-boosting benefits.
Stay Social: Isolation can worsen symptoms of depression. Stay connected with friends and loved ones, even if it means meeting virtually. Plan social activities or join clubs or groups that align with your interests.
Mindfulness and Meditation: Practice mindfulness or meditation techniques to reduce stress and increase self-awareness. Mindfulness can help you stay present and manage negative thought patterns.
Set Realistic Goals: Break your tasks and goals into smaller, manageable steps. Celebrate your achievements along the way to maintain a sense of accomplishment.
Therapy and Support: Consider therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which has been shown to be effective in treating SAD. A therapist can help you develop coping strategies and provide support during difficult times.
Medication: If your symptoms are severe or do not improve with other interventions, consult a healthcare professional about the possibility of medication to manage SAD symptoms.
Plan Fun Activities: Make a list of enjoyable fall activities and events you can look forward to, such as apple picking, pumpkin carving, or attending fall festivals.
Create a Cozy Environment: Make your living space warm and inviting. Decorate with soft blankets, warm colors, and items that make you feel comfortable and cozy.
Monitor Your Mood: Keep a mood journal to track your feelings and identify patterns. This can help you recognize when your symptoms worsen and when you might need extra support.
Stay Informed: Educate yourself about SAD and its symptoms. Knowing what to expect can help you take proactive steps to manage your mental health.
Consult a Healthcare Professional: If you suspect you have SAD or if your symptoms worsen, seek professional help. A healthcare provider can assess your condition and recommend appropriate treatment options.
Remember that everyone's experience with SAD is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's important to tailor your self-care and treatment plan to your individual needs. Don't hesitate to reach out for support from healthcare professionals or mental health experts if you're struggling with seasonal depression.

i know I said I wouldn't come back, but I swear we're addicted to this account, the headmates you make always turn out so good when formed 🙏🏽🙏🏽
anyways, is it possible for you to make a headmate for Yul from Disventure Camp?
lots of genders and ID's if possible :3
thank you in advance <3
if you don't know who he is:
(Yul's official description on the Disventure Camp Wiki)
Yul Kim[1] was a contestant on and main antagonist for the first half of Disventure Camp (season 2). Initially a member of the Green Team, he was switched to the Orange Team in "Truth Hurts", and ultimately placed 10th. He returned as a contestant and one of two secondary antagonists in Disventure Camp: All-Stars[2] as a member of the Yellow Team, and placed 9th.AppearanceYul wears a black crop-top showing his stomach with flames on the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt, light blue pants, and black and white shoes. He also has a bowl cut kind of hairstyle, a right eyebrow slit, and earrings. In All-Stars, his hairstyle is a bit more groomed. According to an official post, Yul is 5'9/1.80cm tall.
Personality:
While comedic, Yul is an arrogant, cruel, and devious man. He sees himself as a god and everyone else as beneath him. Yul is constantly seen being rude to everyone, going out of his way to mock people's appearances, personalities and other personal traits to their faces. Despite his cruelty, he is also a cunning strategist who was able to form alliances on both teams he was on. He is underhanded enough that he is even willing to poison and hospitalize one of his fellow contestants in order to advance in the game.
When Yul returns for All-Stars, he attempts to curb his unpleasant behavior in order to save his declining public image. However, he quickly shows that he has not changed at all by joining the Villains Alliance and feuding with other characters such as Riya, Connor and Gabby.
While in a relationship with Grett in All-Stars, he at first seems genuine in his affection for her, even fiercely leaping to her defense her when Miriam insults her. However, his treatment of Grett soon turns abusive when he is shown constantly bossing her around and making rude remarks about her weight. It revealed partway through the season that his relationship with Grett is a charade that he perpetuates to get fans to like him, and that he actually finds Grett to be quite unattractive. Eventually, his abuse of Grett would be his undoing, as Grett would eventually become fed up with Yul's treatment of her and eliminate him in "Dis-vengers".Unlike the other contestants, he shows no gratitude to the supporters of the show, even demeaning the audience at times (although he at least complies when instructed to do a shout-out to them after he is eliminated).
omg thank you!! ^_^ we hope you like this! made him pretty damn problematic (/pos), but of course feel free to change anything!
