despite how unrealistic Cobs' death was in the II finale (he would NOT be able to turn into popcorn lmao) I think it's funny enough to excuse it.

I could not stop giggling when it panned over to his half-popped body on the ground with Cheesy sporting the most blank-faced grin I have ever seen from a character. I do not think that amusement would have been captured if he had died in any other way.

I loved the popcorn bit. I love that the popcorn bit became an accidental prophecy. I can excuse the inaccuracy for the sake of the popcorn bit.
