In this case, sweet foods means chocolate spreads, nutella, syrup, sugar etc (maybe even with fruit like bananas or strawberry's)
Savoury foods means mushrooms, ham/bacon, vegetables, cheese, etc
Encouraging you to reblog for bigger sample size pleaseee

"Since it's your birthday, how about you pick the place for lunch?" Cue pause as Obito is given the sensei-standard look of behave before he returns his gaze to Kakashi, "Then we can discuss that jutsu you were curious about..."
Tumblr media
"Ne?"
[Verse of your choosing. Demo, I had 'Icarus' in mind since it's pure chaos ^^;
The Hatake didn’t react much to the invitation thrown his way, attention fixed on adjusting the wrapping about his ankles, the ends of the trappings discoloured and frayed - no thanks to a wayward fireball jutsu from Obito. Grey hues narrowed as a spark of annoyance ignited in his chest at the thought of his teammate and how much more /work/ it was to dodge his attacks now that he had awakened those eyes of his. Plus, Kakashi never really cared much for birthdays, the day like any other, save for the fact that he was now a year older. He did pause once his sensei alluded to his new jutsu however, the thought of getting Minato's input on how to remedy the tunnel-vision; quenching any and all irritation he might have felt a beat prior.
“…Really?”
He blinked up at the other, lips thinning underneath his mask as he considered his options.
“…Then…I want Imagawayaki, with an eggplant filling.”

I made a savoury oven pancake today by adjusting two recipies into one and it turned out really good so I wanted to share:
5½ dl wheat flour
1 dl porridge oats
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
50 g butter, melted (I used VioBlock, margarine would be fine)
1 dl plain yoghurt (I used Turkish style soygurt)
1 l milk (I used rye, soy or oat would work too)
300 g mushrooms, sliced
2 of those long pointy bell peppers, I used a red one and a yellow one. Cut into squares (take out the seeds first of course)
65 g baby spinach
Mix dry ingredients together in a big bowl. You'll pour it later so use one with a beak if you have one like that.
Add milk and yoghurt into the dry ingredients. Melt butter and add in the bowl. Mix until the batter is not lumpy anymore.
Let sit for 30 minutes to swell.
Mix the spinach into the batter. Like just push the leaves into the liquid, no chopping or nothing.
Pour the batter onto a tray lined with a parchment paper.
Sprinkle the bell pepper bits on top. Lay mushroom slices on top of that. Gently push everything down a bit more into the batter with a spatula. Like they don't need to be covered in batter, but try to get the surface to be flat, things poking out will char.
Bake in the upper middle shelf of an oven preheated to 225 Celsius, for 30-40 minutes.
It's still a little sloppy when it comes out so you gotta let it cool and set and firm up properly before eating. I would recommend waiting several hours.
.
It's kind of quiche-like, just flatter. The oven pancake is a traditional Finnish (Nordic? do y'all in Norway and Sweden do it too?) sweet thing that at least in my family is eaten with fruit preserves like jam. But leaving out the sugar from the batter and cramming in vegetables makes it much more like a meal. You could probably use a variety of different things in there, like anything that works in quiche will probably be good here too.
Also recommend using scissors to cut it, because it's just so much easier.
.
I'm actually pretty bad at food things so I will not be able to answer any questions about replacing things with other things or anything like that.

What are Khare's favourite dishes to prepare and why? Are there any dishes she would like to learn how to make?
Liking this post for a question ~
Tumblr media
Khare's favourite dish to prepare is none other than the traditional fried breakfast! The American version of this meal is a little different from what she's used to back home, but it's so quick and easy to make that it's no big deal. Crispy bacon with sunny eggs? Pancakes with syrup and hash browns on the side? In they go, prepared how the customer likes though she often wishes she could add beans as a proper fried breakfast is supposed to have. She's picked up how to make a variety of meals since starting work at Pauli's Diner, many of them quick and easy so currently there aren't any dishes she'd like to learn ASAP unless it's a special request or for somebody she really cares about. Unfortunately her diet has become somewhat limited since her physiology mutated, leaving her unable to enjoy things she once used to.

The first semi-final of FdC is happening this Saturday, so before that, here’s my ranking of all the competing songs!
Bandua – Bandeiras
Mimicat – Ai Coração
DAPUNKSPORTIF – World Needs Therapy
MoYah – Too Much Sauce
Neon Soho – Endless World
Esse Povo – Sapatos de Cimento
SAL – Viver
April Ivy – Modo Voo
BOLHA – Sonhos da Liberdade
Inês Apenas – Fim do Mundo
Ivandro – Povo
The Happy Mess – O Impossível
Cláudia Pascoal – Nasci Maria
Voodoo Marmalade – Tormento
Churky – Encruzilhada
Edmundo Inácio – A Festa
You Can’t Win Charlie Brown – Contraste Mudo
Lara Li – Funâmbula
Teresinha Landeiro – Enquanto é tempo
Bárbara Tinoco – Goodnight
I like this selection a lot, but it feels like there's a little less variety than usual. I enjoy the acoustic guitar driven, melancholic tone many of these songs have, but a lot of them blended into each other. That said, there were plenty that stood out to me, three of which I especially love.
My favourite based on studio cuts is Bandua, a hypnotic track which captivated me from first listen. I love the harmonies and overall tone of the voice, that soft singing style works so well over the percussive beat. I worry it might be a struggle to replicate live, but if they can capture the same mood I get from the studio cut this will be magical.
My other big standout is Ai Coração – that dramatic opening certainly woke me up! It’s very bouncy and fun, but also has a distinctly Iberian sound with the strumming guitar and percussion. The real highlight of this track, though, is Mimicat’s voice, which is smooth and powerful, especially on that big note at the end!
World Needs Therapy is a less unique song than these two, it’s a very straightforward rock track, but when it works it works! The lyrics and message are very blunt, but I can absolutely get behind them. I also really enjoyed Too Much Sauce, the lyrics are typical boast rap, but the flow is tight and the beat is interesting and catchy.
I would love to see Portugal keep up their qualification streak. They might have a harder time this year with the semis being televote only, but I do think there's plenty of songs of a high enough quality here that if performed well will convince people to vote for them. I think my top two here would be the most impactful at Eurovision, but they've definitely got plenty of good options!

i didn't take any pics bcuz they turned out low-key kinda ugly, but next time you make boxed pancakes, slice some apples really thin and toss the slices with cinnamon, then when you pour the batter into the pan top each flapjack with some apple slices.
if you want them to be pretty maybe arrange five apple slices into a flower shape, like petals. you could probably even do rings, or use a cookie cutter
then once the batter bubbles up around the edges of the apples and the sides of the pancake are starting to dry out, flip the pancake and cook the apple side until they're golden and starting to turn brown
serve with maple syrup
