Ace In A Cage AU!!!

I have their permission to the au too, so I wanted to add this-

What if there was a Falcon Feral Reader who had been with Remy/Gambit? Maybe they were friends, or friendly rivals, or old pals, but thru end up thrust into World Z, or as I call it, Earth 199-Z, where their version of Gambit died (so their Reader would as well)...

Some key things to help you with these aus are as follows-

• World A has everyone called by their actual name; World Z has them called by their codename

• Henri and Belladonna (Remy's brother and childhood friend, respectively) are called Renegade and Jack Knife in World Z/Earth 199-Z

• World Z Gambit was about 17 or 18 when he passed, so Reader/??? would be, I'd say, 16 to 18 as well; World A Remy and Reader are 14-15...

• An artifact was blasted with Remy's powers, thus sending him into World Z

• This AU is like my Dark AU, but it's it's alternate world instead of the same world but in the future

• I'm helping Hermes out, so this au is still in progress! If y'all wanna offer ideas, feel free to! This spin-off/au of an au is mine, but it has a Reader in it, whereas Hermes' Ace In A Cage AU/Icarus Fic is only Remy...

My AU a design for Akechi, for my AU, Icarus! This is a pretty old AU, you can check my tags for more info on it! In the AU Akechi transfers to Shujin to investigate the phantom thieves, only to be swept up earlier into the plot, and the silly that ensues. His final persona is Icarus in this, and it also includes some akeshu and shadow Akechi and some other stuff.

okay, from what I could gather its like a reverse au?- I'm not entirely sure on it; so apologies if this is off! I couldn't find much on it, so this is my interpretation!

I can feel all my bones coming back and craving motion; Mama never really learned how to live by herself, it's a curse and it's growing; You're a pond and I'm an ocean.."

໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Curly's head weighed on him like lead, his feet solidified in what felt like concrete. Everything hurt, well that's what withdrawal did to most people, made them feel like they were one cigarette away from the pain going away. Though him of everyone knew too well that wasn't the case.

໒꒱ ‧₊˚ He slowly made his way to the medicine cabinet in the hallway by the cockpit, getting some paracetamol from it, something to take the weight off his skull. He downed two pills, before putting the bottle back and heading to the lounge for a coffee.

໒꒱ ‧₊˚ He passed their cook, Swansea. His kind smile flaunting as he waved at Curly, who simply was withdrawn and, for lack of a better word pissy. The older man approached Curly, a plate in his hand. "Captain, Your breakfast is done; do you feel well enough to eat today?" "...I might have some later, Swansea. My head feels like it's in a vice." "Well, I'm no doctor, but some food would do you some good, you've been eating like a bird these past few days." Curly sighed, pressing the buttons on the coffee machine; pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'll eat, okay? I don't need you mothering me though, Swansea." "Well seems like you listen when I do." Curly rolled his eyes, taking his coffee and the plate. "Thank you, Swansea. But still, I can manage without the mothering."

໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Curly sat at the table, Swansea sitting across from him. The "mothering" felt.. nice, though he was a grown man, he shouldn't.. think like this, feel like this.. but for a moment he let himself indulge in such a small comfort. At least just for a moment, he let that.. small feeling cloud his mind, focusing on the food and drinking the coffee he'd got from the vending machine. He felt.. fuzzy, almost like the nostalgic screen of a static box television... the soft sound of static flickering across the empty channels that played in his mind. ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ It was soothing, though Swansea had picked up on the almost.. infantile demeanor. His face twisted in concern, he stood as he moved to Curly's side; rubbing his back gently. Curly flinched at the initial touch, before melting into the older man; something he rarely did, let alone with.. other people. Swansea sat to his side, just gliding his hand across the man's back. The blondes head rested on Swansea, the lack of sleep catching up to him... his eyelids feeling like they were being weighed down as he slept on Swansea's shoulder... though something was amiss this time... Curly's thumb had made it's way into his mouth.. Swansea had seen the behavior before, but he didn't expect it to apply to .. Curly of all people.

An Icarus inspired AU fic idea>>>

There was once an island full of people who had wings for as long as anyone could remember.

The people would spread their wings sore through the sky, unbound by the pull of the ground. But there is a lesson passed down from generation to generation

“Be humble of your abilities, do not fly toward the stars, for your wings are not built for such heights, they will freeze over in the ice cold air ”

When Hob Gadling was still a youngling, he often dreamt of that one star, the brightest of all stars, hung at the edge of the night sky which served as guide for his people. In his dreams he would ask all kinds of questions, and the star would answer him in gentle voices, and tell him stories about the world

The star is the most beautiful thing he has ever witnessed, but he has always seemed so sad, so lonely, and young Hob wanted nothing more than to ease him of that. He confessed his love to the star, only to be gently let down, for how could a mortal properly love a star? He could not allow Hob to be ruined in his pointless chase.

None of his peers believed Hob when he told his dreams, they only pointed and laughed at him, the elders didn’t understand either, they scolded him for having the hubris of daring to reach the stars.

Nevertheless, ever since he learned to fly he has been trying to reach it. But it was always too high, too far away and he has to give up to return before he rises too high and it gets too cold.

Then one day he just decided, fuck it, and ignored the pain in his wings to fly higher, and higher and higher.

And a familiar voice rings at the back of his mind, the star that often spoke to him in his dreams, first warned him to stop, to return home and rest, then demanded him to stop, and in the end begged him to stop. But hob ignored all of it. He is determined, he will reach the star that he loves or he will die trying.

Until his wings completely froze over and he drops to the ocean beneath him.

That night the people of the island witnessed the once brightest star fallen from the skies, leaving a tail of light as it went, then disappeared.

Some say that the star falls to catch and embrace his lover, until they both fall to the depths of the ocean. Others say the star successfully saves his lover, but can now never return to the sky again now that he has fallen. They say the star is content with this however, for he is no longer lonely.

i think i would like to write this into a fic if i ever get the chance 💕

What do you think of the Reverse Tulpar/Icarus AU for Mouthwashing that justcosmos1 on Twitter started? Personally, I really dig it! It's neat to see how the characters act when their personalities are "reversed", while still retaining some of the qualities/ flaws of their canon counterparts! :>

I have very mixed feelings about the Icarus AU, I think it's a very good AU but I also think its quite... lazy? Especially with how Curly's job doesn't change, only his personality. How Daisuke was made the actuary feels so out of the blue and random. Not to mention Swansea becoming the chef, when they don't even cook on the ship and how they lack a nurse entirely.

It's very interesting, but overall some very.. strange decisions.

The Hatake didn’t react much to the invitation thrown his way, attention fixed on adjusting the wrapping about his ankles, the ends of the trappings discoloured and frayed - no thanks to a wayward fireball jutsu from Obito. Grey hues narrowed as a spark of annoyance ignited in his chest at the thought of his teammate and how much more /work/ it was to dodge his attacks now that he had awakened those eyes of his. Plus, Kakashi never really cared much for birthdays, the day like any other, save for the fact that he was now a year older. He did pause once his sensei alluded to his new jutsu however, the thought of getting Minato's input on how to remedy the tunnel-vision; quenching any and all irritation he might have felt a beat prior.

“…Really?”

He blinked up at the other, lips thinning underneath his mask as he considered his options.

“…Then…I want Imagawayaki, with an eggplant filling.”

But now he's falling. He can feel the sun reach for him, James reach for him, but it's not enough. Fate is a hungry thing, gluttonous, it doesn't like to share. James tried to change them, but their story was always going to end this way, carved into stone from the moment they first met.

Sirius' screams are a distant memory now that he's cradled in the ocean's cold embrace. The dripping wax has ripped away large strips of his skin and the salt water on them was agony tearing him apart from the inside out. He can feel phantom fingers over his skin, dragging him deeper into the black black water.

This is it, Regulus thinks, this is how I die.

And as his eyes drift shut, the last thing he sees is the sun, his sun, his James, and...........

this was too big to directly upload (22mb, oof) but this was the first/title panel for a comic i wanted to do inspired by the story of icarus for @freddy-mercurys-mustache (hope you're doing okay dude!). I've got the draft pretty much done, so chances is i'll be redrawing it and attempting to complete it some time soon. it shall hopefully also no longer be in red, or a gajillion pixels big. hopefully.

(my cat sat in my arms as i wrote this, which was a very blessed experience i would like to share with all of you)

Obsessed with Kakashi's "Do you even realize how cool Namikaze Minato is?"-face. Those eyebrows are definitely calling Obito an uncultured swine, loudly. That right there is an insufferable fanboy smelling blood in the water, locking in on an easy target. Kakashi is about to pull out all the essential Minato facts and put Obito through some well needed education, starting with the Yellow Flash greatest hits, moving on to describing his fighting style, his innovative jutsu practices, his life philosophy, favorite foods and food allergies, all in painfully technical detail and in the usual bored, droning voice of Hatake-'I know more than you'-Kakashi.
