The great thing about being on several indie bookstore mailing lists is that you then have Several Indie Booksellers recommending you new releases published by independent presses, which almost assuredly I would not have stumbled across on my own. This one's just a little guy (149 pages), but I've been looking forward to it all year. Will report back on how it goes!

'probably not the worst thing the heros spirit has endured.' but actually #man. idk. ppl like to say majoras mask is super dark. i think bc ur constantly faced with tragedy in a very direct way #zelda is usually slightly less in your face abt that stuff. mm crosses the line for that juust enough for it to be Particularly Notable #loz generally isnt afraid to address the Horrors. or at least acknowledge them #i dont mean this in a 'mm is darkest zelda' or whatever kind of way. Me: I'm fine about my autism now btw, like I've come to terms with my fixated interests, limited tolerances and social inabilities. The alienation it brings is not ideal but it's just a reality I've gotta deal with now that I know it's just a part of who I am. I mean, it's not like an awkward conversation is gonna ruin anyone's life, is it? We'll both move on from it eventually. This is fine!

We need to go further than banning people from using TTRPG tags for CRPGs we need to ban people from using any and all D&D tags for things that aren't D&D

#it actually genuinely drives me NUTS when people are using unrelated fucking tags for shit #and I get the clout chasing grind but good fucking god the death spiral of appending whatever to the most popular title in the genre...#it pisses me off #with anything. with ttrpgs with video games with movies with books #if that's not your shit DON'T PUT IT IN THE FUCKING TAG.#and don't use Popular Thing as a general tag encompassing a lot of shit that can be totally unrelated.#pathfinder may be d&d 2 (none of you argue it's true and you're in denial if you think otherwise) but so many ttrpgs are NOT #just feels like burying whatever isn't at the top. and the reverse of hijacking a more niche hobby or thing's tag is REALLY burying #vent #rambling #a surprise for queue #let's see if I remember to unqueue this before it posts.
