two important facts about this AU that exist in my head:

The King is the equivalent of 55-year old Betty from Finance, mortal enemy to the 24-year old office worker from a different department, like that one post. Except it's everyone. He has collective beef with everyone.

Loop exists in this AU as they are. They got reverse isekai'ed(?) in since it'd be Funny :)

Hello. I haven't spoken much on the Reverse Entry AU (Modern Office + Reverse Isekai Loop AU). That changes today!!! Have some scattered (relatively long) tidbits on this AU. Mainly background to actually get to the office part of it but, yea!

If anyone wants elaboration on anything on this list, and I do mean anything, I encourage asking!! Or any random questions on the AU general!! Or just things in general!! Make me think about things I have not considered!!

Spoilers for all of ISAT + 2Hats and the like:

Mainly Concrete

The Country -> The Company.

Well, more of a family storefront, but the similarity in those two words next to each other was too good to pass up LOL.

Said storefront was run by Siffrin’s parents, and was their life's work.

Specialized in niche craft related stuff, in both teaching people how to do them & selling materials for the crafts. 

It was a very warm & homely store, and was adored by locals and visitors alike. 

A store that felt comforting to just vibe in for a bit, if that makes sense.

Loop ends up being Siffrin’s roommate after being reverse isekai’ed :)

They do not help with rent

They are a solid night light, which they try to justify as helping with the electricity bill

They also find a mirror shortly after arrival. 

Important Points

Mirabelle & Isabeau have known each other since University and are besties!!!!!!!!!

Not 100% sure of the logistics yet, but this was too important of a point to not include

Additionally, please know at some point, Isa custom stitched the scarf-shawl Mira wears to work all the time now, and gifted it to her!

He is also responsible for the fun pattern on the vest he wears all the time too!

Bonnie, whenever they are hanging around, makes sure to sneak onto Nille’s computer, and block out time between meetings for time to breathe / snacks for the others

And they also make sure to block out like an hour of time for proper lunches as well

Back to back to back to back meetings are not fun!!!

Breaks are important!!!

I have mentioned this in a different post, but this too, is a very important point to not include here as well

Location of Living

Mirabelle & Siffrin live in the same apartment complex, but on opposite sides of it

They have briefly interacted a few times prior to being coworkers? 

But Siffrin had his hair dyed for interviews for a long time

So Mirabelle didn’t realize it was him for a while, since he started growing out the dye before formally meeting in a work environment

Siffrin simply forgor

Isabeau lives relatively close-by to where Mira & Sif live, he visits Mira sometimes!!

He may or may not have also interacted with Siffrin two (2) times prior to working together due to the above point

Nille & Bonnie live around the area Siffrin used to live before he had to move, and have resided in that area for a long time

They technically were neighbors, at one point!

Odile lives closer to the office than everyone else 

Shorter commute for in-office days 

But still in the general vicinity of everyone else's abodes ofc

Hiring Order

Mirabelle has been working in the office the longest (interned two years in a row, and was formally hired right out of University)

Isabeau is next after since he got a referral off of Mira (interned for one year before graduation, then was hired at the same time Mirabelle was)

Odile was hired to replace Euphrasie (previous senior manager to their team who got a promotion, she’s now director of the regional office)

Siffrin was hired a bit after Odile when they got more capacity, since what they were originally doing was way too much for just three people LOL

Apparently, he got a referral from someone internally, but has no idea about it!

Nille was hired a little bit after Siffrin was

She only agreed upon the role if she was granted the flexibility to pick up Bonnie from school whenever

Random RPG Equivalence Hour

Turn Based Combat = Emails 

Whether it be waiting for data to start processes, answering inquiries, so on and so forth

Sometimes those turns take literal days

It happens!

Being Frozen / Damaged = Program Freezing 

This goes for any program being used

If it freezes it inflicts small damage

It inflicts more damage if it crashes

It makes you cry on the floor if the program crashes and you can’t recover any of what you did for the past hour

It makes you regret all of your life decisions up to this moment in time if it crashes, you can’t recover anything, and you have a presentation on the stuff you were working on in 15 minutes

Misc Meetings

Mirabelle writes fanfic

Isabeau knows about this and supports her in her endeavors

Odile has read some of her works, but does not know she wrote them irl

At some point prior to working together, Mirabelle & Odile became mutuals and started trading book / fanfic recommendations to one another

Odile had a brief stint as a bartender prior to working for the office

Mainly to earn some form of income while applying for jobs / waiting for prior certifications to process and transfer properly after moving from another country

In one or another, she met Isabeau and Siffrin at separate intervals while working there

Additionally, the bar is located close to the office. A lot of happy hours happen there. It ended up serving as a networking opportunity for her LMAO

Both Nille and Bonnie moved around a lot when they were younger

At different intervals, Nille went to the same high schools as both Mirabelle & Isabeau

Nille has probably worked a lot of jobs throughout high school / university

This includes working at the same place Odile worked at for a bit, they were probably coworkers there at some point.

Maybe not necessarily a bartender but, general staff

Again, this served as a networking opportunity similar to the Odile segment ASFASDASDA

Loop somehow ends up becoming a vtuber.

Loop somehow ends up being a vtuber for the company the team works under, akin to Tony the Tiger.

Loop does this vtuber gig for approximately one (1) stream and quits right after.

((loop decided their first stream was a nuzlocke for some reason. the crafts company literally didnt ask them to. they decided this on their own volition for no apparent reason. the company literally asked for a stream where they do crafts?? anyway they named their pokemon after the party. and. well.))

As I am Indecisive, this still has a chance for change! But for now this list is slightly ordered from “concrete in my mind” to “need to let simmer more probably, but the vibes are there” to “probably not but it is a bit of a funny to consider” (this only applies to the last loop segment ASDAFA)

Can we hear more about the King in the reverse isekai au?

Sure thing!! :D

Funnily enough I’ve been slowly working on and off on a silly lil comic including the King from Reverse Entry AU recently. So have a messy concept sketch of what he’ll look like. Before the mumblings under the cut (design will most likely be tweaked later tbh ASFASD)

To talk about the King I also need to talk a tiny bit about this Siffrin’s background, so here is the briefest of rundowns for them first (which will prob get a more elaborate post some other time):

Siffrin’s parents used to run a storefront (refer to first bullet point section in this post). 

It was their life’s work and they loved that place dearly, since they built it themselves from the ground up.

However, his parent’s passed when he was 19-20, and that storefront ended up falling into his hands.

They were in college at the time, and ended up switching majors to try to get better know-how in running a business.   

But at the end of the day, they had to sell it.

[the above premise was heavily inspired by stuff that happens in a webtoon with the initials GH since it is very near and dear to me actually] 

With that established, onto talking about the King in relation to above!

The King was a family friend to Siffrin’s parents.

The wooden crown is actually a gag gift from one of Siffrin’s parents due to “The King” being a nickname for him from college, it’s not actually his name ASFASDA.

(It’s actually too big for his head and sometimes it falls above his eyes actually LMAO)

For a time, he worked underneath the storefront when he was down on his luck, and he is eternally grateful for that.

After he got back up on his feet, he still made sure to visit from time to time, and even helped lead a couple of the crafts sessions the store did. 

When Siffrin’s parents passed, he was devastated, since they were close, and had known each other basically forever.

And they had done a lot for him when he needed help as well.

But, at the time he was not in the best position to try and help with the storefront from a financial standpoint.

However, he, alongside a couple of others, did try to volunteer around the storefront to help it stay running for a time (it was well-beloved in the community, after all!)

It just wasn’t enough. 

He was one of the few people at the time who was against Siffrin’s decision to sell it off to some random company

(which happened to be the crafts company that Siffrin and the King and literally everyone else now work for now)

Mainly due to knowing what that store meant to Siffrin’s parents / how it helped him when he was at his lowest / overall having lots of good memories tied to it / he didn't want to let one of the last remnants of his friends to be thrown to the wind 

And to end this off, some miscellaneous tidbits on the King in the present time of this AU:

The King actually joined the company specifically because it was the one to buy out the Siffrin Family Storefront™ and usurped what they were doing with it

But uh���. he’s like in the IT department?

And has like no real influence on what goes on with whatever acquisitions the company makes

Or what the company does with them LMAO (without it being probably directly illegal)

Best he can do is be a nuisance to those working around it tbh

Like actively slowing down conversations on fully discontinuing the products attached to the storefront to further stretch out its life?

Or being annoying with tech and just? Not being helpful. When people are having system issues that cause delays in work despite being a main contact.

And in general probably being more nosy in places he probably shouldn’t be tbh.

Stuff like that!

There’s a chance that some of this gets tweaked the slightest bit / elaborated more on later since I am always Indecisive, but those are the vibes!

what i mean by "main fit": the outfit she will be wearing most often whenever she is around. the other options will not be blasted into nothingness tho! they will sit in her wardrobe and will be used much more sparingly compared to the main.

The most important question for the modern office au, what is the office doing like what’s the actual job? Also why’s a kid here!

Ooo!!

To answer the first part, I’m gonna break it a lil further into two segments, the company the office is underneath, and the office itself!

For the company, I like to think it’s a chain type store that focuses on arts & crafts stuff to sell. From various paints, to fabrics, to wood crafts, the list goes on and on!

For the actual office the team works at, rn I am thinking of a regional office with teams that relate their work to stores within the region it resides in. So like all the financials / logistics / infosys / human resources / etc etc for the region they reside? Handled by the office the gang works in.

Specifically, for Siffrin & their team, I’m thinking they handle a lot of the analysis related to financial trends of products being sold. So they would handle stuff like:

Parsing through the financial data retrieved from stores to ensure no errors in data.

Staring at excel every day and questioning your life choices.

Congregating that data into pretty graphs and trends to show to others for reports every month. Pretty colors!! So much information!! 

Reporting their findings every month to higher-ups in the region so they can make decisions on stuff to focus on selling.

Deal with people setting meetings for things that they literally do not handle but keep getting asked about anyway constantly. *stares directly at The King*

And perhaps even general bookkeeping work for product sales that also happen every month, for legal reasons.

So, in short, they’re kinda Product (Arts & Crafts Items) Trends Analysts? But not formally, prob general analysts that got lumped into here. And need to do that stuff cyclically? Since those trends are used in deciding what to focus on selling every month?  A bit broad, a bit detailed, but uhh yea!! Something like that. 

As for the second part. Bonnie. So true. Why’s a kid here!!!

Two current thoughts, undecided:

Bonnie just Showed Up one day and they sorta hung around long enough to worm their way into the rest of the team’s everyday lives. 

Nille also works in this specific regional office, same as everyone else! Probably on the same team. As such, they sometimes hang around waiting for their sister to be done working.

Regardless though, I also like to think they sneak onto the computers sometimes and block time for snacks on everyone's calendars. It is their job as snack leader, after all!

But yea, those are current thoughts! STC but those are the vibes I think!

Just discovered your modern office AU, and I gotta say, now I’m wondering how does the Country being made into the Company affect Siffrin and the King’s memories if it does. I saw your post talking about Loop looking at this AU Siffrin and him having had a comparatively MUCH easier and idyllic life, but unless I missed something, it seems like there isn’t a full equivalent to the whole memory block imposed by the wish that disappeared the island in canon. Sure, NDAs from Siffrin selling the Company and the new owners transforming its legacy over the years would sorta be similar, but the actual memories would still be there. So with that, I can’t help but picture something like Loop rifling through Siffrin’s apartment before stumbling across a couple of old family photos - and not Siffrin’s found family.

On one hand, it would be a cherry on top of the sundae of bitterness towards modern office Siffrin’s comparatively idyllic life. Not only did this Siffrin not experience any of the horrors Loop did. Not only can he remember where he came from and who their parents were. But he even has more mementos of their past than the single outfit and boat Loop was left with after sailing away from the island.

On the other hand, I just can’t help but picture Loop, hands trembling from holding the photo up, asking Siffrin if he could tell them about his parents…

Oh!! Yeah, from what I currently have drafted/planned for this silly AU there isn't an exact 1:1 of the memory block situation of the Company compared to the Country. Instead, there is a fading memory situation going on in its place to fulfill a similar role. And you are 100% spot-on the transformed legacy bit there for the company, but still having physical mementos for Siffrin in particular LMAO.

To expand a little bit on the fading memory bit though, on Siffrin’s end, while he probably has less memory issues than in canon (since no Country occurrence), he still has some memory issues here. Unfortunately for Siffrin, that also means they end up agonizing a lot over their fading memory of their parents and the Company in conjunction with it being slowly transformed over time.

In addition to that, the other employees/regulars of the Company still seem to remember Siffrin's parents pretty well. Like, some people have stories upon stories to tell about them, in-jokes, the like. Stuff that wouldn't have anything physical associated with them. Some of which, while Siffrin was involved, they don't actually remember. Which is something they feel pretty guilty about!! Yet another painful reminder on how much of a failure they are when it comes to them and all. At least Siffrin still has some physical mementos of them at the very least!

As for Loop rifling around and discover some of this Siffrin's physical mementos of his parents. All I will say right now is that is one of the first things they do when finding themself reverse-isekaied into Siffrin's apartment, actually! I mean what else are you to do when you wake up in an unknown location but look around, right? Nothing else though since that will get a more formal comic thing at some point. It was actually one of the first things I drafted for this AU actually?? I just haven't gotten around to proper finishing it lol.

But!! OW the idea of Loop asking Siffrin about their parents... even if they know the parents of this Siffrin are going to be different to their own... it's better than not remembering them in any form at all, right?
