The first time he regressed, he was on his way home and had an accident, which made him pause and start crying.

Jean found him curled up while crying and offered to help him get cleaned up and into something more suited for a baby.

Diluc often needs a change but is too shy to outright admit it

Diluc will not regress in front of anyone. if he's in the room with another little he'll face the wall because he's scared to be seen like this

Diluc will not sleep without a bottle if he's regressed .

often regressing the second he's off shift, running as fast as he can to his home so nobody sees him. (jean saw, she's going after him to see if he needs help, which he'll refuse till he's crying)

Jean is his main caregiver, taking up changes, bottle feeding, etc, often reassuring him its okay that he's regressed and needs more help than normal.

Summer evenings.. oh how Diluc wished they could last forever, the way the orange sun set over the horizon of Mondstadt like a roaring fire. He stared down at his newspaper, humming softly to himself as he turned the pages, his coat neatly hung up on the chair. He paused for a moment, hearing a slight creak from the old floorboards of the winery.

“.. I can see you little bird. Is there a problem?” He asked, looking up at the stairs, where you stood. He chuckled softly, a soft smile crossing his face as he walked towards you, kneeling down to your level.

“What’s wrong? Are you perhaps hungry? Thirsty maybe?” He asked, wracking his brains for what could be causing a potential problem, but when you pointed up the stairs- he instantly knew.

“Ah. You were waiting for me to tuck you into bed?” He asked, smiling as he stood up again, reaching out his gloved hand and gently ruffling your hair. Despite his supposed grumpy demeanour, he always showed his love towards you. You were everything to him.

He reached forwards, lifting you up and placing you on his hip as he strolled to the kitchen, placing you down on the wooden counter. He had been told by Lisa that littles always liked a bottle before bed and her advice had worked tremendously up to this point.

“You just sit right there for a moment sweetheart, Papa will get make you a bottle.” He said, grabbing your favourite bottle out of the cupboard and swiftly fixing up a bottle, he always made sure to be swift while doing so to prevent any upsets.

“And.. there we go.” He spoke, chuckling as he lifted you back up into his burly arms. It paid off to be a bartender sometimes, he always managed to fix up bottles for you at an incredibly quick pace. He began ascending the wooden stairs, humming softly as he walked into his bedroom.

“I assume we’re ready for bed now, hmm? You’ve got your bottle and your blankie..” he said, his red eyes scanning you over quickly.

“..And I assume you don’t need a change?” He asked tenderly, his voice quiet and gentle as not to startle you. He sighed in relief as you nodded, gently pulling back the luxurious duvet and carefully laying you down on the pillows, all while smiling softly.

“Do you want Papa to stay beside you for a little bit until you drop off?” He asked, tucking you in to the covers, making sure your stuffed animal was securely in the sheets too before sitting on the other side of the bed, reaching out and stroking your hair.

When he could see your eyes begin to close and suck on your bottle in a relaxed manner, he felt his heart warm slightly. He leant down, pressing a kiss to your forehead before heading to the door, turning out the light as he spoke.

“Goodnight, little bird. Have sweet and pleasant dreams.” He murmured before exiting, shutting the door behind him with a chuckle.

Diluc is well versed with knowledge about regressing, from personal experience and from learning about it on his own time. When he found out you were an infant regressor, he wanted to make sure he could be extra helpful to you.

You feel tiny, really tiny. The sensations around you feel bigger.. not necessarily in a negative way. The lights and colors look more flamboyant, the feeling of the floor as you sit on it is soft and gentle.. maybe a little ticklish from the carpet. You pick up something on the floor, your tiny hands carsssing the item you pick up. Though, you cannot communicate well right now… you want your Carer's attention, Diluc. You look at him, your eyes a little wide, filled with curiosity. You give a little whine for attention, hoping to be acknowledged, but he does not hear you right away. Diluc has a hard time picking up subtle sounds sometimes, unless they are consistent due to the Tavern work. You whine a little louder, starting to tear up, since you cannot use your words… all tiny and in need of care.

Diluc turns his head, looking over his shoulder, pausing whatever he was up to. He sees the look on your face.. and you can see him frown slightly with worry.

“My dear, my baby, my little one… what is the matter?” His voice is soft as he approaches you. He kneels down, to get to your level. You reach your arms out, using those grabby hands, wanting to be held. “Oh, uppies, hm?” He coos in a soft tone, as one arm slips around your upper back, and the other is placed under your bottom, as he holds you to him. You rest your head on his shoulder, holding a fistful of his sleeve in your little hand.

His warm hand rests on top of yours, and he rests his head against yours. “It’s okay, I’m right here.” He whispers softly. A little sniffle escapes you.. you still have a few tears left. “Oh, here… I have an idea.” He says, as he walks into the kitchen. He sets you onto the counter, lovingly shushing you, trying to calm you. “I’m right here still, I just need my hands for a moment, alright? Don’t fret.” He kisses your forehead gently, and then opens the cabinet, taking out a bottle for you. He warms some milk in the little before pouring it into your bottle. As he twists on the lid, he picks you up with one arm.

“Let’s go to your Nursery, just hold on.” He says in a soft voice, as he caries you up the stairs and into your Nursery. He adjusts the light, making it dim, but still lit, as to not scare you. He walks over to the rocking chair in the corner of the room, and takes a seat. Propping you in his lap so your head can rest on his shoulder/chest, and you’re sitting with your legs/thighs across his lap.

“How about we read a story while you have your bottle?” He suggests, handing you your bottle, which you immediately latch onto, with your head nuzzled into the crook of his neck and shoulder. He picks up a book, and flips through the pages, reading it slowly and comfortingly to you… he’s there as long as his baby needs…

You let out an evidently sleepy yawn.. you could’ve sworn moments ago you were just fine… but now, that you’re sleepy… you had regressed before you could even think properly about it. You looked around, and didn’t see your Caregiver, Zhongli. Being so tiny, and so needy… you got scared. You started to cry, in your spot on the couch, unable to find your dada. Your tears and unintelligible babbles were enough to have your Caegiver coming right to you. You were wiping your tears when a hand is placed on yours, moving it out of the way gently.

“What is the cause for all these tears? Are you hurt?” He spoke gently, as to not frighten you more, but there is a hint of concern. Though.. he examined your demeanor and answered his own question. “Oh my… does someone need some help?” He cooed as he picked you up with one arm, wiping your tears with the other hand. Your cries are now sniffles and whimpers.. and you lay into him. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Just let me take care of it, okay?” He mumbled gently into your ear, as he walked into your nursery. He opens your dresser and takes out your favorite onesie.

“Alright, lie back for me, alright?” He guides as he lays you down on your changing table/preparation table. He takes you out of your big kid clothes, and slips you into your favorite onesie, buttoning the bottom. “There we go… isn’t that so much better?” He coos softly as he picks you back up, a smile on his face. “Do you want to get your baba and to go color and have some tummy time?” He asks, as he walks into the living room. You give a babble and he takes it as a yes.

You’re given your bottle, laid on your tummy, and the two of you color for the majority of the afternoon… occasionally whines or babbles from you to get Zhongli to look at your coloring page. Eventually, bed time hits, and you’re laid in your crib on your tummy, with your baba and paci…

Regressor Diluc Headcannons

Note: Working on requests but the current one is taking a bit of research so have this while you all wait!

Diluc regresses either into a baby space or a kidspace ! There’s no inbetween (0-2 / 5-8)

In the beginning most of his regression is impure but as he gets more a gist on what’s happening he starts to regress voluntarily.

Adelinde primarily watches him, she was confused at first but as she learned more she helped inform Diluc of what was happening and began to take over as a CG role

She sat for hours in the library reading books upon books to understand what was going on. Diluc hasn’t said it but he appreciates everything she’s ever done for him - he doesn’t have heroes but if he had to choose one? It’s Adelinde.

He is so spoiled!! Everyone in the manor adores him in his headspace and spoils him to death. They all missed the liveliness that left when he went on his 4-year journey.

In babyspace Diluc is very quiet and curious, he watches everyone from the living room as they go about their business or attempt to play with him.

He loves sensory story books as well! If someone breaks one of those bad boys out good luck, he just wants to lay it on the carpet and rub his hands against the different textures.

He doesn’t really eat much besides applesauce and dry cereal, on a few occasions Adelinde has been able to get him to eat Mac and Cheese but it just has too much flavor

Kidspace Diluc is a rascal!!

He loves sneaking off to go hide in the grape vines (don’t tell but he sometimes sneaks some grapes to eat!)

He has a pile of books he loves to read just over and over. Adelinde sometimes takes him to the library to find some new ones - they always take back alley ways though cause Diluc is nervous of people seeing him.

He loves helping shred any papers that are of no use ! He’ll sit by peoples desks and just wait for a few papers to be plopped in his lap so he can shred them.

Venti

•Post-Archon War, Venti often regresses to a childlike state as a coping mechanism. It helps him manage the emotional scars and the immense responsibilities he bears as an Archon

•Venti loves being sung to or hearing gentle lullabies. It soothes him and helps him feel safe

•Due to the emotional and physical toll of the war, Venti is medically padded to ensure he's comfortable and safe. It provides him with a sense of security and helps him relax

•He adores the sound of wind chimes and often has them around. The gentle tinkling makes him giggle and coo, reminding him of the carefree breezes of Mondstadt

•Venti loves initiating tickle fights with Diluc and Aether. His giggles are infectious, and he always ends up in a heap of laughter

•Venti has a small collection of plushies, his favorite being a little wind spirit. He clings to it when he's feeling especially vulnerable

•When he regress, he sometimes uses his Anemo powers to play gentle pranks, like making leaves swirl around or lifting small objects. Diluc and Aether pretend to be surprised, making Venti giggle !

•Venti loves curling up in blanket forts built by Aether and Diluc. The enclosed, cozy space makes him feel secure

•Venti's bedtime routine involves a warm bath, a soft lullaby from Aether, and being tucked in by Diluc. This helps him wind down and sleep peacefully

Diluc

•Even though he's just a little older, Diluc has a strong protective instinct towards Venti

•Diluc keeps a small, controlled fire nearby to keep Venti warm and to provide a soothing, ambient light that helps the little Archon feel secure

•Diluc reads stories to Venti, using his calm voice to weave tales of heroism and peace

•When Venti has nightmares, Diluc is quick to comfort him. He holds Venti close, whispering soothing words until he falls back asleep

•Knowing Venti's fondness for apples, Diluc keeps a stash of apple slices and apple juice for him

•Diluc often pats Venti's head or ruffles his hair, a gesture that Venti finds incredibly comforting

•During colder days, He would wrap Venti in his cloak and holds him close <3

Aether

•Aether has a naturally calming presence, and he uses this to help soothe Venti when he's feeling anxious or overwhelmed

•When Venti feels up to it, Aether takes him on gentle walks through nature. The fresh air and natural beauty help Venti relax and feel connected to his element

•Aether sings soft lullabies to Venti, his voice carrying a sense of peace and tranquility

•Aether and Venti enjoy playing hide and seek in the fields. Aether always lets Venti win, delighting in his victorious laughter

•He would make flower crowns for Venti, who wears them proudly. Sometimes they make matching crowns for the two of them

•Venti has a collection of beautiful feathers that he likes to look at and touch. Aether helps him find new ones during their nature walks

•Aether knows various herbal remedies and prepares soothing teas for Venti when he needs them

♡ He adores his little one so much, and never minds when they want to have a day for themself to be little. Diluc will always provide so much care and love for his baby!

♡ If he does have to work, his little one isn’t too far behind him at all. They follow him around his tavern, clinging to his sleeves or the end of his coat, whining for him to carry them around. Which he gladly does, glaring at anyone who gives them any odd looks.

♡ When they’re in their home, he reads to them and lets them sit in his lap. They’re a very quiet baby, and that goes well due to how introverted Diluc himself is. 

♡ If asked to, he’ll happily color with them! Coloring was something Diluc loved to do when he was younger, so coloring with his baby did make him quite happy. During the day, they also go on many adventures (Small things, like picking apples outside and whatnot), with the little baby not straying far from Diluc.

♡ In all, Diluc loves his little one. At the end of the day, they both go to sleep, the baby clinging to Diluc and babbling happily as they nap.

Caregiver Diluc Headcanons

Diluc kinda just... became Venti's CG one day. He noticed a reoccurring pattern of Venti becoming really quiet and/or emotional and/or super tired and initially took care of him because one of his patrons was obviously having a bad day, but then... well, it became a regular occurrence, and Diluc recognized the signs outside of work, and it kinda just happened.

Not very strict, but he's got hard limits. More then willing to be flexible within those limits though!

Just.. overall a super chill CG. Doesn't really get nicknames like little one, etc, especially since he knows Venti's an archon and that's a little weird to him, but he will oblige and he'll let Venti call him what he wants.

Caregiver Jean Headcanons

Jean was slowly integrated into the club after Venti talked to Diluc about being his cg. They obviously knew she was trustworthy & wouldn't leak the secret, but Venti wasn't sure how good of a cg she would be at first. Jean was determined to prove him wrong when she (much later) learned of his concerns :)

She's the more reliable of the two. Absolutely pampers Venti to the fullest too. Need a blanket? Already got one. Milk bottle? Boom, already in his hands. Some snacks? They've appeared from the aether and are absolutely delectable.

Diluc's started cutting her off from spoiling him too bad 'cause it's becoming excessive atp 😔

Little Venti Headcanons

Surprisingly sleepy for a little. Of course he's got some hyper moments, and they're not sparing, but most of the time he just needs a bottle and a hug and a story before he takes his nap.

Hates, hates being near any kind of alcohol when he regresses. That is grown-up juice and it's icky and he hates it right now. (He probably got drunk & then slipped into little space)

Complicated, big feelings. Hates talking about them, goes semi-verbal when he regresses, and prone to shut downs (of both the silent upset & loud upset varieties). Best to just be there for him and comfort him through it, he's gotta process it on his own time, y’know?
