It's understandable why people are putting HH/HB fans in their DNI lists because they're annoying as hell about Vivziepop and her shows.

Fans believe that every creator making art related to angels and demons draws inspiration from Vivziepop and bases them on her shows. They argue with and harass people who criticize or make fun of Vivziepop, Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss.

Fans have used slurs and mocked people's identities, disabilities, and trauma. Some of them have even defended rape and rapists because they like Valentino.

However, despite their blatantly horrible behavior, fans are oblivious to why numerous people dislike and refuse to engage with them.

Helluva Short 3 review and taking a firm stance

So, I haven't really been involved in the discourse around the helluva shorts, predictably, antis have taken aim at them for using the initially pitched premise more than the main series, what they don't realize is that they exist to further explore that premise in the first place, but more on that later, let's talk about the most recent short which shows this best.

So, Weaboo-boo might be the best HB content since the mid-season special, dead serious. It has a simple premise executed to perfection that explores: A- a unique premise B- worldbuilding and C-character development It's funny, visually great and easily my favorite short so far.

The reason I'm finally taking a stance on this is, frankly, I have zero patience for antis/haters/whatever anymore. I kept my head down when Mission: Antarctica dropped, but I'm not staying quiet anymore.

What's the main argument they make against these shorts? They use the premise that was focused on in the pilot more than the main series, right? Now let's look at why that is. The genesis of HB was a cut premise for an episode of HH where Blitz and Moxxie would've been a bumbling pair of hitmen acting as the episode's villains. Viv decided she wanted to explore the hellaverse beyond HH and used them to do it, but early into developing HB after the pilot realized she'd rather focus on the cast and the worldbuilding of the rings, so she toned the assassinations down and focused more stories in hell. The shorts are a way of exploring premises that she still wants to explore but that would fit or otherwise work as full episodes for one reason or another, whether that be series pacing or general simplicity for the sake of avoiding padded stories.

Vivian found the literal best possible solution to the "identity crisis" of the series, and the people who complained about it the most are practically spitting in her face over it. THAT'S why this blog now has a Vivziepop anti/hater dni rule.

In summary, I loved the short both for what it is and for letting my look past the veil of civility and acknowledge how pointless engaging with the haters is. As for us fans, let's keep eating good on this quality content.

Funny how the same HB/HH fans who have “Minors DNI” in their bios are now saying it’s okay for kids to watch Helluva Boss because a kid happens to be a big fan of Blizto.

Look, I can’t stop kids from watching Viv’s shows or any other adult shows, but I will give parents shit for allowing their children to be exposed to this type of content at a young age.

This isn’t The Simpsons or Bob’s Burgers, where there are a bunch of adult jokes but it’s super tame, Helluva Boss cannot go five seconds without making a sex joke.

And not the subtle kind of sex joke either, just full blown edgy sex jokes that would have a billion times worse if Viv didn’t have to worry about YouTube restrictions.

I’m not one of those “We need to ban this sick filth” types, I just don’t think parents should let their kids watch animated shows that are aimed at adults.

None of these shows are suitable for kids.

Due to what was found out by the creator and personal feelings on the show, from this point further I will not be posting hazbin hotel / helluva boss related content anymore. I deleted any requests in my inbox relating to Viv's content and I have no interest in making further content. This was a hard decision for me to do, and after thinking about it for awhile; I've finally decided to just drop my interest in the two shows. This was a hard decision to make solely because I was there since day one when the both pilots dropped. I've stuck with helluva boss since now, and I've watched a couple episodes of hazbin hotel when they released the episodes 3(?) years later. So seeing where the shows are currently hurts me more than it probably should. So no, this wasn't just an easy 5-second decision of mine to make. 4 years of being a fan of both shows, and seeing where the show is now is just a shame.

Even though I'm not a fan anymore, I appreciate the friends I've made who were also fans of this show. People who love this show still, are a system with fictives of hb/hh, users who's blog is themed from those shows, or anyone who likes to reblog hh/hb content is still allowed to interact. I won't tell anyone who is a fan of the shows to DNI, so yeah, just so whatever honestly lol

TLDR; due to the creator + personal feelings on the shows I will no longer post/reblog/or make any content relating to helluva boss or hazbin hotel. I will no longer be accepting requests from those shows. Fans are still allowed to interact though, but I will no longer make content like that myself. So please do not ask me to do so.
