Regressor Diluc Headcannons

Note: Working on requests but the current one is taking a bit of research so have this while you all wait!

Diluc regresses either into a baby space or a kidspace ! There’s no inbetween (0-2 / 5-8)

In the beginning most of his regression is impure but as he gets more a gist on what’s happening he starts to regress voluntarily.

Adelinde primarily watches him, she was confused at first but as she learned more she helped inform Diluc of what was happening and began to take over as a CG role

She sat for hours in the library reading books upon books to understand what was going on. Diluc hasn’t said it but he appreciates everything she’s ever done for him - he doesn’t have heroes but if he had to choose one? It’s Adelinde.

He is so spoiled!! Everyone in the manor adores him in his headspace and spoils him to death. They all missed the liveliness that left when he went on his 4-year journey.

In babyspace Diluc is very quiet and curious, he watches everyone from the living room as they go about their business or attempt to play with him.

He loves sensory story books as well! If someone breaks one of those bad boys out good luck, he just wants to lay it on the carpet and rub his hands against the different textures.

He doesn’t really eat much besides applesauce and dry cereal, on a few occasions Adelinde has been able to get him to eat Mac and Cheese but it just has too much flavor

Kidspace Diluc is a rascal!!

He loves sneaking off to go hide in the grape vines (don’t tell but he sometimes sneaks some grapes to eat!)

He has a pile of books he loves to read just over and over. Adelinde sometimes takes him to the library to find some new ones - they always take back alley ways though cause Diluc is nervous of people seeing him.

He loves helping shred any papers that are of no use ! He’ll sit by peoples desks and just wait for a few papers to be plopped in his lap so he can shred them.

Diluc CG headcanons!!! These are centered around a Regressor who’s had S* trauma bcuz certain things abt him just make me feel like he’s a safe person <3

❤️ he’d be extra protective than he would be with littles that have negative past encounters but not protective that it’s suffocating

❤️ He’d be very gentle with them and always make sure that they’re okay with physical affection b4 he initiates any !! So they’re not alarmed or scared and they slowly get used to him and know that he’s a trusted person

❤️ During bathtime he makes sure that they know they can be alone and don’t need to have any help but he’s always offering it and ready to help if they want it(same goes if they’re padded bby) Also makes sure to fill the bathtub up a lot with bubbles so they can cover themselves

❤️ Once he hears about all of the things his baby has gone through he trys his best to stay calm and not show any anger to not scare the little but after (with permission) he’s well… what is said in the ss and might get help from the knights (srry If ooc 😞)

Caregiver Diluc headcanons

+regressors Aether, Kaeya, and Venti

Absolutely it’s alright to send multiple requests at once! The separate part is just for my own peace of mind trying to complete things in an organized manner, especially being a multifandom blog. You did it completely right!

Also I’m answering by this one first because Diluc brain rot is real and I will take any excuse to ramble about him. Okay onto headcanons now :D

~He denies it to the very end about ever caring. The copious amounts of agere gear stored at the Dawn Winery (and the smaller stash at Angel’s Share) begs to differ

~Comes homes more times than not with a little one

~He’s Aether’s main caregiver. Babysits for his brother (who 8 times out of 10 will drag Diluc into headspace along with him- he swears the younger does it on purpose but he has no proof) and for Venti. (At this point he might as well be the bard’s main cg it just isn’t ‘official’)

~Diluc’s babysat Sucrose and Albedo once or twice on the very rare chance that they are both small at the same time

~Aether accidentally called him “Dad” tried to quickly change it to “Diluc” and now it’s a running joke to call him “Dadluc”

Aether: *exists* Diluc: (pulls out adoption papers) Kaeya meanwhile: (resigned to getting another adopted brother)

~Super overprotective

~A little rough around the edges and he has definitely made his little ones cry on accident. Which usually has him freaking out and asking Jean for advice

~Grape juice >>>> apple juice. He claims it’s a healthier alternative. Aether doesn’t care either way as long as it’s in a bottle. Venti will cry once he tastes the drink, calms down after a while. And Kaeya will throw a temper tantrum (and the bottle right back at his brother’s head-)

~Tells the best bed time stories. Mostly of a certain dark knight hero that- no- he has no idea who it is under the mask- hush you’re going to ruin the story

~I have the super cute idea of Diluc babysitting all three regressors at once and them all falling asleep starfished across Diluc in his bed. He’s a living furnace it’s not the little’s ones fault he’s so comfy

-would regress 0-1

-his main caregivers are basically from Mondstadt so its jean, lisa, kaeya ,diluc and venti

-whenever he regresses he would start having a mental breakdown and starts chewing on paimon's clothes due to how young he is regresses (the black cape on paimon's back)

-paimon wouldn't mind when he does that

-enjoys when venti's music and will sometimes try to play his lyre

-always has a pacifier in his mouth

-likes being called "sweetheart" or "lil goose"

•The second that Diluc notices that you are ill, you both kinda know that leaving the winery is a bad idea. Mainly because you regress the second that you feel ill.

•Even if you do manage to get out of the winery, you hardly get far before a concerned father comes to check on you! Maybe a staff member reported a "rouge kiddo" among the grapevines, maybe not.

"You should be resting." his voice is concerned- and he has every right to be. You've been feeling under the weather for a good while. He scoops you up, and watches carefully for any sign of protest - he knows that touch can be annoying on rare occasion. Once you show content in the comfort of his arms, he carries you to the winery. "Let's get you all cuddled into bed, mhm? I can have Adelinde bring you some warm milk, if that would help."

•He's basically a walking, breathing source of heat (thanks to the pyro vision), so it makes sense that you'd be attached at the (literal) hip of him whenever he's nearby. If he puts you down for a split second to grab a snack? Tears flow, and he has no choice but to pick you back up.

•Knows that you don't hold much energy while sick and little, so any games that will be played are very basic - usually just colouring or doodling at your own pace, or listening to Diluc talk nonsense numbers to himself as he does paperwork with you cuddled in his lap.

•If he has to step away for any period of time, his coat is provided to you.

"You want to be dada's guard? I can give you my coat, and you gotta make sure nobody will take it, mhm? I'll be back in five minutes, my phoenix.

•the BEST at getting you to take your medicine. He'll have you take it at a specific time of day, and he'll even compromise reasonably, if you are feeling particularly fussy that day.

•Will bottlefeed/spoonfeed you if you need that!

mostly communicates through babbles or short sentences/words.

when diluc's regressed, he acts pretty distant at first, but once he gets more comfortable, he becomes super clingy.

deffo loves to have his grape juice in a sippy cup !!

his favorite activity to do when he's little is to draw/colour, especially birds!

he absolutely will infodump about the different types of birds in a rapidly spoken way followed by him excitedly showing off all the bird drawings he made.

he even has a main favorite owl plushie that stays beside him whenever he does anything.

definitely not a morning little one - he acts pretty cranky in the mornings and always wants to sleep in some more before he gives in and reluctantly gets up. (though he still ends up acting pouty throughout the whole morning.)

warm bubble baths are his go-to whenever he wants to feel relaxed.

she uses nicknames like little bird, sunshine, little firefly and sweetheart on him, while in return, diluc calls her mama.

diluc and kaeya sometimes have playdates together when they're regressed, and they still fuss over things when little, but luckily jean always manages to sort things out for them.

he'll chew on his fingers, his shirt, his hair, literally anything but his teether or pacifier.

he only ever uses his pacifier when he's about to go to sleep.

🌻︰I think 1-4 makes a lot of sense for Venti! I can see him being in the 3-4 range when his regression is more positive, and 1-2 when he's upset

🌷・I think he likely began regressing as a result of trauma, but wasn't really aware of it at first; when he did realize what was going on, he tried to keep it to himself, not wanting to worry his friends

🌻︰I think he's the type of kiddo to wander a lot when he's tiny, so it's no surprise that one day he happened to show up at dawn winery while regressed

🌷・Diluc spotted him and realized he was acting different than usual; of course, Diluc wasn't going to just leave him outside in a vulnerable state, so he decided to keep an eye on Venti

🌻︰Diluc wasn't 100% sure what was going on, but he basically understood that Venti was in a younger mindset; he gave him some snacks and juice, and watched over him, until Venti eventually got sleepy and took a nap

🌷・Venti probably tried to brush off the encounter, but Diluc made sure to have a conversation about it with him, that ended with them agreeing the Venti could come to Dawn Winery whenever he was feeling small and didn't want to be alone

🌻︰I think tiny Venti likes to talk a lot, he gets excited over small things and starts babbling about it, pointing and trying to get Diluc to look so he can also appreciate whatever caught Venti's attention

🌷・Diluc is a very patient caregiver; he doesn't get frustrated easily, which means he usually goes along with whatever Venti wants; he just makes sure to keep a close eye on him to make sure Venti doesn't try to do anything too mischievous

🌻︰I think Venti would really like activities that involve getting messy, such as finger painting or jumping in mud puddles

🌷・He's a very active kiddo in general, so he's basically just running around excitedly while Diluc watches fondly (Venti's least favorite part is cleaning up after, but Diluc tries to make it fun with a sticker chart!! that's usually enough to motivate Venti to tidy up any mess he made)

Scara is.. a bit rude at first

At times, he truly does have issues with realizing just when you've regressed or when you're overwhelmed

He gets the hang of it after the third time it's happened, of course, he does care for you and doesn't want to hurt you

He figured an activity for you would be fine, while he put something for children on the television

As it turns out. Finger painting while some vibrant show is on combines to make a dreadful sensory experience

The paint was too wet, too sticky and gross. The show was getting too loud and too bright and it was just all too much!

Scara can recgonize the signs better now- so he's fast to shut off the tv

"Hey, hey.." He kneels down beside you, going to grab one of the damp rags from the table. He takes your hands gently, rubbing the rag over the pads of your fingers.

"What's wrong, kid?"

After you explain with your limited speech- he gets it, of course. It's obvious in his mind what had happened, Scara is fast to scoop you up and set you on the couch

He's cleaned off your hand and any remnants of paint on your body. He dims the lights and goes to sit with you

He'll rub your back and coo gently into your ear, trying his best to comfort you

It's surprisingly sweet, maybe the Wanderer truly does have a soft spot for you.

Diluc comes off as intimidating to children, but he has a way with you

You get overstimulated while he's working

It's something about the dull hum of the overhead lights, about the occasional click of his pen, about how he clears his throat or taps his foot and the footsteps of the maids in the hallway

Getting up, you move to his side and gently tug on his coat. Why he wears it while working is something you will never truly get.

"Oh? Is something the matter, liebling*?" His voice is hard for a moment, though it softens at the use of the pet name. He takes one look over you, his expression softening as he scoots back in his chair.

He pats his lap, allowing you to slot yourself in your rightful place!

He wraps his arms around you, gently holding you as he shushes you.

"It's alright, Papa has you," he mumbles it into your ear, voice low enough so that only you and him could hear. He'll use his hands to cover your ears while he yells for Adeline to get whatever comfort items you'd need

He'll take off his jacket to give you something more comforting as well, if you'd like that

Diluc asks before he begins working again, and if you're fine with it, he'll work with one arm around you and in dull light

If not, he'll put aside his work for the day and will take you to your room in the winery

He'll sit there as long as you need :)

hi again fishie !! i LOVE lil ragbros (๑>ᴗ<๑) i wish there was more official content of them together !!!! kaeya definitely loves to protect diluc and watch over him like a good big brother :3 hes always the first to get to diluc when hes upset and little <3

i hope this all sounds okay. coming out of writers block is a bit confusing lol. anyways have a cute lil naptime minific >:3 (kaeya trying to get diluc to take a nap but ends up napping with him)

"LucLuc, its clean up time!" Kaeya announced, trying to get Dilucs attention. He knew getting his brother to clean up would be a bit of an ordeal, but cleaning up their toys was important before nap time.

Diluc whined at the idea of putting his beloved toys away. He was playing with some of his small plastic animals and their little farm. He still had to let the horses out and feed the cows and-

"Come on, bubby!" Kaeya tried to keep up a cheery attitude for Diluc. The last thing he wanted was to be grumpy with his brother and make him more upset. Knowing nap time was approaching already made Diluc grumpy enough. "You can play with the farm later. Right now is clean up time."

"Bu' moo-moos.." Diluc pouted, pointing to the small group of his cows.

"The moo-moos will be here later, Luc!" Kaeya comforted. He gently set a hand on Dilucs back, making small circle motions to try and calm him. "We need to put them away to keep them safe."

Kaeya finally managed to convince Diluc to put all of his little farm animals away. He wasnt happy about it, but he knew it had to be done. Kaeya helped him out and made sure to praise him after he had finished. It made him giggle slightly as he watched Diluc stare at his farm as he sat on his bed.

"What story should I read, bubby?" Kaeya asked, drawing Dilucs attention away from his farm. He held up two books for Diluc to see. One was a story about a knight that the two had loved as kids, and the other was about a mischievous wolf. Naturally, Diluc picked the knight one. He always had.

Kaeya giggled slightly and nodded, putting the other book back. He crawled into Dilucs bed with him and got all snuggled up with his brother. Diluc watched eagerly as Kaeya opened the book, feeling nostalgic as he saw all of the illustrations.

"Once upon a time..." Kaeya began to read the story to Diluc, telling the story with a suspenseful tone. The two knew the story like the back of their hands, but it still made Diluc squirm and giggle slightly with how his brother read the story to him. It made him feel like he was actually in the story.

Soon enough, the warmth of the cuddling and the feeling of being read to made Diluc feel quite sleepy. Kaeya gently took out the hair tie that held that fiery red hair in a ponytail all day as he neared the end of the story. His hand gently massaged his baby brothers head as another attempt to coax him to sleep. Dilucs small hums were a sign that it was working quite well.

Before Kaeya knew it, he had a sleeping toddler in his arms. He smiled and carefully set the book down, trying not to wake Diluc just yet. He felt proud of himself for getting Diluc to nap so easily. Yet, he forgot that it affected him too in the end. His eyes felt droopy and his body tired. He knew he was going to fall asleep as well. He didnt mind it, though. All that mattered to him was staying by Dilucs side.

"Goodnight, LucLuc.." Kaeya whispered as he finally let his eyes close, swiftly joining Diluc in slumber.

I had a thought.

venti sleeping in a cat bed in his wisp form (the one that are kinda like caves?) and then when he's small but not in his wisp form, he finds out that Diluc had commissioned him like, one of those human-sized dog beds!! it's basically a nest for him!!

Such a cute idea!

Venti mentions one time how he’s jealous that he can’t have a full sized pet cove to lay in and that’s all it takes. (Also might I suggest kitten regressor Venti, for your consideration. Think about it, it fits perfectly I swear to this)

Also this has fueled a random headcanon of mine that Diluc definitely has a room either at the Winery or the upper floor of Angel’s share that is just essentially filled to the brim with pillows and blankets and cozy books and toys. Just essentially a play room but maximum comfiness :3

♡ He adores his little one so much, and never minds when they want to have a day for themself to be little. Diluc will always provide so much care and love for his baby!

♡ If he does have to work, his little one isn’t too far behind him at all. They follow him around his tavern, clinging to his sleeves or the end of his coat, whining for him to carry them around. Which he gladly does, glaring at anyone who gives them any odd looks.

♡ When they’re in their home, he reads to them and lets them sit in his lap. They’re a very quiet baby, and that goes well due to how introverted Diluc himself is. 

♡ If asked to, he’ll happily color with them! Coloring was something Diluc loved to do when he was younger, so coloring with his baby did make him quite happy. During the day, they also go on many adventures (Small things, like picking apples outside and whatnot), with the little baby not straying far from Diluc.

♡ In all, Diluc loves his little one. At the end of the day, they both go to sleep, the baby clinging to Diluc and babbling happily as they nap.
