sometimes regression/inner child healing is indulging in the things you enjoyed as a kid, even if they weren't actually child friendly.

i'm a 2000s kid who grew up with the internet, and you know darn well i was NOT supervised! i watched some insane stuff on youtube as a really young kid. and you know what? i go back and watch them sometimes, and it actually does help me regress.

one of my favorite youtube series as a young kid was called "is it a good idea to microwave this?" and it's exactly as it sounds. lots of crude humor, lots of swearing, lots of things exploding in microwaves. but every time i rewatch the series i can't help but feel like i'm 7 again, laughing at these silly guys putting silly things in their microwave.

this is why i get kinda bent outta shape when people say non-kid friendly media doesn't have a place in age regression when it absolutely does. some of us grew up with crude adult humor, and thus it helps us regress when we go back and watch it! and i think that's extremely valid.

I feel so embarrassed talking out loud that I just say everything in my head. and therefore they 'respond' to me in my head. ლ⁠(⁠^⁠o⁠^⁠ლ⁠)

Even if nobody's around, it's just weird to me talking out loud. I prefer to be quiet unless I absolutely have to! 𖹭

not attaching it to the poll so I don't rain on the parade for Xanthe fans- but if you want a story where magic respects a character's transness, then might I recommend Dreamer/ Nia Nal (from cw Supergirl)?

I get that Nia's kind of got the reputation for being bland and boring since she had to pave the way for trans superhero representation on tv, but her story actually engages with how her family's magic system created a rift between her sister and herself- where coming to her own as a superhero caused conflict with her family. One of the few plot points that made Nia really interesting.

The part where Nia makes herself smaller so that her sister can inherit powers she feels she's entitled to as a cis girl? That's genuinely a great way of allegorizing uncomfy trans feelings through the superhero genre. This resonates with me way more than talisman shenanigans at the family dinner after being dead for 15 years. Seriously give Nia a shot. Her graphic novel is written by the trans actress who plays as her on Supergirl.

EVERY SINGLE REASON WE DESPERATELY NEED ANOTHER SEASON OF JENTRY CHAU VS THE UNDERWORLD OR ELSE I WILL KICK DOWN THE DOOR TO NETFLIX AND POLITELY FIGHT THEM

1. We don’t get a single explanation of Michael’s abilities to have visions of the future. Even when he literally told his parents to tell him about it later when he gets back home.

2. Kits death was super underwhelming in my opinion and I was really expecting it to be another fake out death or something. Wouldn’t it make sense for him to at least come back as a ghost and “prove” he really did always have a soul? He feels like such a waste of a character and his whole story had sO MUCH FREAKIN POTENTIAL!!! I wanna know more about painted skin demons and if he’s unique to the rest of them? Unless he’s like the only one for some reason. Also am I crazy or did he have a sudden huge personality shift that made him super stalkery and fricked up.

3. The implications of that one quick scene between Tokki and Stella in the last episode???? Hello??????? /pos

4. What’s gonna happen to Iris? We never learn how she ended up in the ghost prison thingy and I don’t think we learned why she started to “fade” either.

5. Peng Chau is still in Diyu right??? Being tortured??????

6. Did anyone else think when Jentry stored Gugu’s memories inside the pearls, that they’d somehow find a way to use the pearls to bring Gugu back as a ghost or something? I know the pearls store memories and not souls, but hopefully this makes sense?? I also wanna know what exactly happened to her afterwards, even if it’s completely off screen. Did she go to Diyu? The great beyond? Just poof? I NEED ANSWERS

7. I wanna learn more about Ed and his life before dying and how he got mixed up with Mr Cheng!!!!

8. Horse-Face and Ox-head are both dead right? So what’s gonna happen in Diyu without them as the guardians?

9. I really want to know if Michael continues his music and where he goes from there!!

I’m sure I have many more unanswered questions that I can’t think of right now, but for now I think these are all the most important ones. I’m begging of you Netflix if you’re seeing this, please please please please please PLEASE don’t leave another story unfinished and leave all the talented and passionate artists and writers to waste 🙏

suuuuuuuuper disappointed with Fashion Dreamer, but I'm still having fun with it and don't regret buying it. it's such a step back from Style Savvy in every single category. literally does everything worse.

there's zero narrative or storyline

customization of clothing is literally just changing the colors, there's no textures or emblems or anything to add

sorting through your clothes is an utter nightmare. the old games let you filter by like… aesthetic type, category (not just "is a leg item" but getting as specific as "leggings" or "tube socks"); in this, all you can do is filter by the broadest category and since you have tons of stuff it's a nightmare

the gender binary, booooo

tons of categories of items are missing from old style savvy games, no handheld items whatever and it doesn't seem like necklaces, gloves, bracelets or any hand accessories whatsoever are there either

you can't save outfits. wtf!!! in ALL of the old games you can save a bunch of outfits you made, in this one you simply cannot. good luck remembering all the items you used when you have 7000 of them and no way to sort.

can't zoom in while dressing up, so good luck guessing what color a lot of those really thin eyeglasses and the like are. thought they were pink? nope sorry they were brass actually

there's no layering whatsoever. you used to have an outer layer and an inner layer, and you could wear all kinds of dresses, shirts etc over the inner layer to make nice looking combinations of things like corsets and stuff like that. and you could wear skirts over pants. now, nope, just one layer for tops (not counting jackets) and bottoms, and anything that looks "layered" came pre-made that way

the coolest items are locked behind a fricken GACHA

it is absolutely still a fun game to play if literally all you want to do is dress up a character to make numbers go up. i'm enjoying myself despite literally all of this. the Photo Egg is fun, the drone to take photos around the areas is a good feature. most of the clothing is very cute, and i'm glad to be able to customize them so that they aren't gratingly different shades of grey or whatever and make a coordinated outfit.

but whoof, without the store aspect and the little character storylines from dressing your various customers, the whole thing feels just as empty and hollow as i expected.

i will still be playing way too much of it though. anyone wanna be Fashion Dreamer friends? lol

Happy cutesy aesthetic agere is so much the norm that I feel thoroughly abnormal for crying and withdrawing every time I regress and I'm rambling here but the general perception needs to change, the trauma regressors need to not be pushed off to the side and thrown an occasional 'traumatised regressor positivity!' post in amongst the swathes of photos of teddies and anime boy paci edits, agere needs to be for all types of regressors all the time

I don't know about anybody else, but it has been very hot. It is very important to drink water! (heat stroke is not fun,,, trust me!) but... water can be so boring!

so what do you do to remedy this? I have some tips!

🫧 Have a special cup just for water!

Having a special cup just for water might inspire you to remember to drink it! the cup can be anything, a bottle, sippy. I have a big big plastic cup that I put aluminum foil on top of. I then poke a straw in :>

🫧 Use fun ice cubes!

personally water is alot more pleasing to drink when it's ice cold. in itself ice cubes are neat, but you can jazz them up further! In the baking aisle of Walmart, they have molds meant for jellos and stuff you can use for ice cubes! I really wanna get a unicorn shaped tray 𖹭

🫧 Use flavor packets!

not everyone likes plain old water, and that's valid! a way to try and remedy this is to flavor it! There's so many flavoring options. you can get powder, drops, and all that sort. and you can get it sugar free! There's so many options. You can experiment as well to see how much you need to make it taste good to you. Not everyone's gonna want it saturated with artificial flavor, and not everyone is gonna want a drink that's just water with the vaguest touch of flavor. Do what's best for YOU!

the only thing stopping me from buying an oddly affordable 10-pcs pack of pull-ups is the fact that i live in the family house with a bunch of people... but i have my own room (decor and mini-tour pending... actually, there's nothing much to tour, it's just a bed, a wardrobe, a tiny rack of stuff, and my study table... do people even want mini study vlogs, i doubt...) but i live with people... but i can hide it... but i live with people
