How long can I procrastinate learning how to shave before I look like shit... 🤔
#sometimes I wonder if I should have a personal ramblings tag#but I also want to weed out my weak followers#this was supposed to be my sideblog where I'm absolutely feral ham unhinged & nobody knows me#if my follower count gets too high I might get self conscious. so. rent lowering personal posts#if you cant take me at my random 11:30 thoughts you dont deserve me at my#uhhhhhhhh.#:T#either way I cant ask my dad to teach me how to shave because my dad's idea of skincare is a chunk of pumice and a bar of handsoap#he dorsnt use shave gel or shave cream he does that shit DRY. IN HIS CAR BEFORE WORK#he buys disposable 2 bladed razors in 10 packs for like $10 and they get rusty so fast#actually y'know. I could probably teach myself how to shave just by doing everything he isn't#either way I only have 2 beard hair. nobody can see#they can probably see the half inch long military grade peach fuzz in my sideburns zone but that's an acceptable level of scrungly#it's all blond so far anyways so hard to see#if it starts coming in red (it will probably eventually be red) it'll stand out more and I'll have to shave more often 🥲#if only MY VOICE WOULD BREAK#cute person came up to me and said hi and complemented my cloak on the street and I replied#but my voice was so squeaky and they immediately left and I was left thinking like#did theh assume I was a 14 year old boy. they must've assumed I was a 14 year old boy. fuck#I'm 21 I PROMISE I'm just doing second puberty. like a hobbit#either way if you ever see me putting all my thoughts in the tags it's cause I have a bad case of “don't take up too much space”#which is stupid. but growth is a nonlinear process

Tips for my girlies in university and early work
I decided to make this post based on what has made my life easier these past few years. Every woman wants to cultivate beauty; make themselves put together, be taken seriously, and find a partner who is equally yoked if you're into that. As an old tumblr girl shifting in and out of the scene, I wanted to make another tip post like the old times that's accurate to what helped me.
A lot of the older/retired girlie's where amazing advisors, however one thing that created a barrier was that they were were endowed with large wealth and their society paved a path for them, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I love to see it actually. I wanted to make a post looking back to what has helped me make my own steps to now be able to utilise the old girl's advice as it was supposed to.
Hair
Learning a basic blow out is necessary. If you're starting out, you don't need all of the fancy brands, and you'll notice that technique is what differentiates the quality of a blowout. Get a good round brush that conducts heat well, mid range but reliable (Babyliss) blow driers, flat irons, and curling rod. Invest in a heat protectant too. Sweet talk the hair dressers and ask where they get their stock from. Get yours hands on some pro hair sheers to get your own trims and layers going.
Silk scrunchies and pillow cases are an underrated and feminine must-have. I'm a lazy girl who always has a silk press if my hair is out and I can get away with collapsing onto a silk pillowcase with no head wrap and still manage to have a lovely style in the morning. I would say order these from a small business. Many girls have businesses dealing with small textile projects like scrunchie packs and average size pillow cases, support them! :)
Learn to do your own cornrows and invest in a half wig especially if you're busy with classes and don't have time for the whole round brush ordeal.
Don't be scared of wigs, and don't be ashamed of not having enough time to pull off a dazzling natural masterpiece. There's a reason why wigs are in high demand from women of all races. People are all over busy. You can start with a natural synthetic and move on to better hair.
I learnt the art of hair when I was 15, so I've been doing it for a while. However, because of this, I can tell you the importance of having a lovely crown on your head. I have received hundreds (not joking) of compliments from years, whether my hair was real or fake, and that shows how important it is for a first impression.
Nails/Feet
Don't forget to take care of them. Walking all the miles, wearing the mandated courts, sitting in one place. You will indeed develop calluses, perhaps even athletes' foot and hyperpigmentation from a lack of circulation.
Get yourself a basic pumice stone or a scrubber and use them when need. Massage yourself as well to maintain mobility and flexibility.
If you can, get yourself an affordable gel set. It might seem a bit expensive, but it'll save you the time and money of the upwardly costly nail appointments. You'll find out when you get up and socialise more that what tops the cake of classy is a glossy basic nail. Natural nudes and whites are always a go to.
Tumblr media
Scent
Scent connoisseurs are going to absolutely hate me for this, but girlie's, if you can't get that Jean Paul Gaultier or Baccarat Rouge, get the damn arabic fragrance. Back in high-school when me and my girls were starting up, setting ourselves apart and getting invited to important places, Lattafa was our favourite. Social media is currently finally going crazy for them. (The African/Arab girls got them first 🤭.) I loved my floral Haayati with a mix of Zakra (other brand, heavy masculine oud tones for my peace of mind), and my best girl loved her gourmand Yara and her vanilla oils.
I love to talk about fragrance because it talks first for you. Nothing is better than a delicious light smell accompanying your presence. It shows you hold yourself to some esteem.
Skin
Face Essentials - gua sha stone, gentle cleanser, exfoliating cleanser or serum, sunscreen, thick moisturising butter, anti fungal or bacterial essential oil, lip moisturiser, clean cloth.
These will help you start out on a basic level to having healthy looking skin. Exfoliating is very important towards a glow. When you're stuck working with a bright light in your face, soaking up the harsh morning air full of car exhaust, sweating as the hours go by - what will make the difference is making sure that you get rid of that excess dead skin every 3-7 days.
Gua sha is amazing for getting rid of the stress if you clench your jaw during moments of stress. Say you have to present an assignment or address and debate a crowd, that takes a tole on the jaw and the facial muscles. Using a gua sha is great for ironing those knots and that tension out.
On the topic of massage, spas can be unaffordable at times, time is could also be a problem. Get into a habit of using every minute you have. That 5 minutes that you sit and doom scroll on tik tok, take out a wood tool, grab a moisturiser, and press those muscles to release built-up tension. Taking care of the vehicle you have is so important. Your body and mind are separate but complimentary. Take care of her, and she will take care of you. Don't forget that every second, she's pumping the blood that facilitates your social meetings and work hours.
When it comes to body, get yourself exfoliating mits or an abrasive rag. Once again, exfoliation, exfoliation, exfoliating. It's great for blood flow and circulation as well as moving your muscles and tissues that may be constantly seditary from a desk.
Dry brushing is something I also swear by. Once again, absolutely wonderful for circulation and waking the skin up.
Get yourself a foam roller... I press such an emphasis on these tools that stimulate the muscles because we often forget how much our bodies are taking multiple hits from working. Joint issues are something that's prevalent when you're a working girl, coming straight out of high-school and going into the world outside the home of your care taker. Roll those legs out, release that back into the grooves. It makes a world of difference!
Clothing
I loved to dress like a blank canvas back in my early days when I decided I want to make something of myself. Nothing beats good denim pants and a white t-shirt. Especially when you're starting out and want to begin establishing outfits for everyday, you'll notice the blank canvas approach will prevent you from looking crazy on crazy days. Stock up on 3 white tees, white and blue jeans, yoga pants, well fitting good quality skin tone lingerie, a belt, a watch, some fake pearls, black or white dress, a ring and a necklace and my all time favourite, a pair of shades.
Ugh, I can't get enough of combinations like this. I grew up and was educated by women who followed this but fancied it up with a bold Goyard St Louis, a 3 stone engagement ring with a gold band, a local pure and heavy polished silver bracelet and some Loro Pianas. Absolutely gorgeous women, who knew how to constantly present themselves as nothing less than reliable, stylish and beautiful.
You might say that, 'Omg Lilly, that's so boring', that's not the point here 😂. As a green girl with a good head on your shoulders, you're going to get a lot of new opportunities. Whether it's internships, parties, socials with the girls or the guys, dates, fund raisers, club representative workshops, you're going to be expected to show up well and put together. Say you have a social evening at a club house, in the morning you have an internship and the next day you have to manage and represent your society. Those 3 white shirts paired with a rotation of basic bottoms and versatile shoes will make things a lot easier for you especially if you're starting out in a foreign country where you don't know what is to be worn exactly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Makeup
Those who have known me are well aware that I'm a retired goth girl and was killing it with the cut crease and James Charles tutorials back in the day. Makeup is something that has seamlessly became part of my life. Unfortunately or fortunately, I grew out of that creative phase and started wondering what actually makes my natural features and face pop. What presents me as healthy, bright, and hyper-feminine (in contrast to the basic clothing)
I came up with the recipe of 'Biology' makeup. Blush because it signifies healthy blood flow and interest in the person you're interacting with. Healthy full eyebrows, non-matte evenly toned skin with naturally bronzed dimensions. A healthy hydrated pink lip. Some extras are a little liner to enhance the eye, flirty lashes from carefully applied mascara and/or lashes and some depth and glitter to draw attention at the eyes.
Very basic, very safe, very attractive, very reliable. This is a routine that can be executed within 8 minutes.
Moisturiser -> sunscreen base -> full coverage foundation or concealer watered down with sunscreen to make it more glowy and allow the natural dimensions of the face to peer through->bronzer/darker powder-> semi heavy blush combined with some loose banana powder to calm down the concelar-> light wing-> lashes-> wipe the lips and eyebrows-> fill both in and end with a natural colour applied to both.

Other important notes:
Yoga, cardio and pilates to maintain mobility, lubricate those joints, crack those bones back into place. Sweat is amazing to get those toxins, lose a bit of unnecessary weight, blow off steam, improve skin health, get your blood pumping and much more.
Save your money, all these things are meant to make life simpler for you so you are in a place where you are investing into things that are truly important like rent, food, tuition, remittances, dental work, medical aid, insurance, etc till you have someone who could assist with that :)
Remember to keep a balanced diet. Oh lord, when I went out to a new country, thank god I was young, but I became close friends with the local McDonald's and knew all of the door dash delivery men by name. Please, for the love of God, buy your fresh food and meal prep. The temptation is so real after a long night, to drop a bunch of pounds or euros on a quarter pounder and some zinger wings but it will not nourish you to survive another active day with decent cognition and drive. Especially if you were living alone and stressing out about making your own path, don't feed the delivery demon. You'll lose useful money, and mess your hormones up.
Instead to reward yourself, buy your place some flowers. If you want to eat go to a restaurant which serves whole food. Buy some new fancy stationery, party, get a spa or cosmetic treatment that you've been wanting, travel or take a train to somewhere scenic! Perhaps I'm too harsh but addiction to quick fixes is real when you first drop into a state of independence whether it's financially or physically. Don't abuse it by splurging. Understand moderation through strict monitoring then after a while, go get that Wingstop or whatever after knowing how to access real food and that it's an affordable and doable option first! (me and my guy friends literally never ate any real food for a month straight while gallivanting in Europe because we were so codependent on Taco Bell and used our lack of knowledge of the city as an excuse to take the easy way out 🤣.)
If you can do something really well, make a mini business out of it.
Network, network, network. Ask questions, ask for opportunities, get numbers and business cards.
Self defense starter kit (Google it according to the laws of your nation)
Lastly, make friends, call family, volunteer at an animal shelter every now and then to remind you of what love is 😂 because in the fast paced assimilation into new environments, you do forget and only notice when suddenly you're sadder than usual, and have anxiety during basic interactions.

beauty on a budget for someone new to the lifestyle?
since you’re only starting out, you’ll probably want to focus on affordable products and diy and at home beauty treatments.
you can get affordable skin care products from brands like cerave, cetaphil, and the ordinary. you’ll find all your essential cleansers, serums, exfoliators and moisturizers. you can order facial sheet masks in bulk cheap from amazon. you can also use aztec secret healing clay as a clay masque. skip the guasha altogether and follow a youtube tutorial for face sculpting massages instead.
good quality affordable makeup brands I used when I was nearly broke included e.l.f., nyx, wet n’ wild, maybelline, and makeup revolution. look into some other drug store brands within your budget and check reviews before you buy anything so you don’t waste your money. get generic beauty blenders and powder puffs, you’ll be replacing them often anyway so it’s best to get them cheap. you can buy cheap big makeup brush sets on amazon that’ll last a long time if you clean them regularly and take care of them.
press on nails and home manicures / pedicures will save you a ton of money and time. find a good manicure kit and pumice stone. buy a dollar store basin and some epsom salts to soak your feet. for press on nails I usually get mine from temu or brands like kiss and impress. if you just want to paint your natural nails, get a gel polish like l.a. colors color craze gel or sally hansen miracle gel. if you want to go the extra mile, invest in the supplies and learn how to do your own acrylics or gel manicures.
learn how to wax, shape, and tint your own eyebrows. you can buy an affordable diy wax kit like this one and use youtube tutorials on how to find the most flattering brow shape. (as a bonus, the hard waxing kit can also be used to remove unwanted hair on the rest of your body.) you can also find cheap brow tinting kits that usually last up to five uses at sally’s beauty supply and various other stores online.
if you want your lashes done, you can either get really, really good at applying a strip lash – my go to affordable brands are ardell and kiss – or you can invest in some bulk lash clusters and the falscara diy eyelash extension kit. figure out what lash placement will best compliment your features, then watch lots and lots of youtube tutorials on how to use it and practice, practice, practice. they take some getting used to.
when it comes to hair care, the very first thing you want to do is figure out your hair type with a quiz like this one and find what it needs to look and feel healthy. I have 2A hair, so I would pretty much always spring for nexxus for something moisturizing and lightweight, but I’ve heard great things about ogx, shea moisture, not your mother’s, maui moisture, l’oreal elvive, and garnier whole blends which are great for other hair types, densities, and textures. all these brands carry a wide variety of products from shampoo, to leave in treatments, to hair masques, to curl cream — you get it. again, read reviews. you can also use a cotton t-shirt to dry and plop your hair instead of spending money on a microfiber towel, and a satin scarf wrapped around your head to protect your hair while sleeping instead of a silk bonnet and pillow case.
if you’re into styling your hair, two of my favorite methods are heatless styling and blowouts. for heatless styling, you may not even need to purchase any new styling tools. I started out using this heatless robe curl method and eventually started doing other heatless styling methods like the ones on this playlist once I started buying more tools, and did styles like these when I didn’t feel like setting my hair at all. for styles that require heat, a highly suggest investing in a dyson airwrap – which can do pretty much everything – so you don’t end up spending even more on an arsenal of hot styling tools.
good luck, sugar
xoxo

Let's talk about macrocrystalline quartz vs microcrystalline quartz. I see sooooo many people argue over these in rockhounding groups that I think it is important to address. First, they are the same chemical formula
Tumblr media
Whether it's amethyst or chert this is what it is on an atomic level. So, what makes them different?
Well, a big part is how they are formed. Macrocrystalline quartz grows by adding molecules to the surface, layer by layer. It essentially grows in three different environments:
1.) In silica-rich molten rock during cooling and solidification
Tumblr media
2.) in pegmatites, during and following pneumatolytic processes
Tumblr media
3.) In hot water solutions of silica under various conditions (usually hydrothermal) The water is between 100 and 450 degrees Celsius and often at high pressures. (underground)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are no free SiO2 molecules in the solution, instead quartz crystals grow by the addition of dissolved orthosilicic acid (H2SiO4). The four photos above show the process on a very basic level.
In igneous rocks, the formation of quartz is caused by positively and negatively charged ions floating around in the molten rock soup. In fact, these silicate ions cause magmas to become more viscous. SiO4- usually forms long chains in the magma.
When magmas cool rapidly, like at the point of eruption, the chains don't have time to break and new bonds to form so silica-rich magmas often for volcanic glass or pumice.
Tumblr media
When magmas cool slowly under the surface, like in granite, crystals of different minerals will in the melt in order of chemical composition. With granite, micas form first, the feldspars, then finally quartz. Because quartz is last, it usually doesn't have great shape since it is filling in all available space.
Quartz in magmas will often have an onion-like internal structure of layers added on top of each other reflecting a gradual change in the residual liquid parts of the solidifying magma.
Okay, now for the microcrystalline quartz: chert and chalcedony (and the bazillion names given to different colored varieties of that).
Tumblr media
Chert can form under two different processes: biochemical and and replacement through solution in water.
Biochemical chert is formed when siliceous skeletons of marine plankton are dissolved during diagenesis with silica precipitating out from the resulting solution.
Tumblr media
Replacement chert forms when other material is replaced by silica usually by water such as petrified wood.
Tumblr media
Chert has the same properties as macrocrystalline quartz i.e. same hardness, fracture, etc.
Chalcedony also forms by precipitation of dissolved silica in water but it is usually formed from watery silica gels which give it the botryoidal look it is well-known for.
It is often deposited in cavities and fractures, spaces too small to form proper quartz crystals, by the release of silica from weathering of other rocks (often volcanic in origin).
Tumblr media
Isn't quartz wild?

Model of a crashed spelljammer I dropped on my party while they were minding their own business
The ship is a dice tower that can be removed so my parter can still use it- thinking about pasting a ufo or something in the empty spot eventually
I made the fields out of cardboard peices I ripped the top layer off of, then glued them to a board. I built the rest up with various acrylic mediums (pumice gel my beloved)

After it dried I gave it a layer of black gessopodge (gesso I mixed with modpodge, smells very.. interesting) and a layer of base paint/dry brushing. Then I just glued on some grass and voila!

Products I use for soft hands and feet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soaps and soaks
Tumblr media
The only soap I’ll use on my hands is Savon de Marseille, and I like this soap in particular for its gentle nature and vanilla scent. I don’t soak my hands at all, because it messes with my manicure, and I avoid getting my hands wet for any length of time—I wear gloves to shower and wash the dishes.
I’m harsher on my feet, and I use a mixture of diluted liquid castille soap and Hibiscrub to wash them at the end of each day. Once a week, I soak them for 20 minutes in a solution of 1 part Listerine Original and 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts hot water, and add quite a lot of Dead Sea salt. This softens everything and keeps my feet completely clean and free of any nasty fungi or bacteria.
Scrubs and exfoliants
Tumblr media
I’m gentle on my hands, and until recently, I didn’t exfoliate them very often at all. A friend gave me a tub of the stupidly expensive Sucre de Gommage from Dior’s ‘Prestige’ line, and I don’t use scrubs on my face, so it was repurposed for my hands. It’s so gently effective, and exfoliates my hands so well. I use it every night, and it’s so good, that I’m almost tempted to buy another—I’m searching for a good replacement, so please send me a message if anyone knows of something similar. Other than this, once a month I use a very small amount of the Ordinary’s 30% AHA + 2% BHA peel on my knuckles and any other areas of my hands that are prone to dryness.
I exfoliate my feet very rigorously, because I walk and dance a lot, and I don’t want callouses. I use the 7% Glycolic Acid toner from the Ordinary every other night, the stronger 30% peel once a month, the treatment from Mr Pumice once a week, and a peeling mask every 3 months to chemically exfoliate—and I use the St Ives scrub, sefid-ab and kiseh, and a foot planing tool to physically keep hard skin at bay.
Cuticle care
Tumblr media
These are just the products I use to keep my cuticles soft and hydrated, not those I use to remove them. I like the Onsen serum for morning and night, because it’s so light and hydrating and it soaks in so well. I use the stick balm from Sally Hansen on my hands’ cuticles throughout the day, since it’s portable and not messy, but I use the oil from Cuccio on my feet and on my hands at night. I seal everything in at night with Dior’s Crème Abricot—it’s expensive, but I haven’t found anything else that works so well, and it’s a small luxury for me.
Oils, masks and creams
Tumblr media
Back home, I used to use oil from sheep’s tail on my hands and feet, but it’s difficult to find over here, and I’ve discovered that emu oil works just as well, if not slightly better. I use the oil to massage my hands and feet, and by the end, it’s completely soaked in. Urea is such a powerful ingredient for exfoliation, moisturising, and hydration, and this gel-oil serum contains 40% for strong effects. I apply a small amount to my feet, and then follow it up with my favourite foot cream. For my hands, I use the Vanilla 28 cream from Kayali throughout the day, and Yuskin at night—Yuskin (AKA Yu-Be Skin in America) has a 40% glycerine content for maximum hydration and softness, and it’s the best hand cream I’ve found. Then, every 2 weeks, I use the Norwegian Cica masks for hands and feet from Neutrogena, for additional hydration and moisture.
Occlusive treatments
Tumblr media
It’s important to lock everything in after a long routine, and at the end of every night, I like using Flexitol balm with 25% urea on my feet, and pure lanolin on my hands. I cover up with cotton socks and gloves, and let everything soak in whilst I’m sleeping. I love using paraffin wax in a heated bath at the end of a long, cold day—it warms me up from the inside out, and really helps boost my skin’s moisture levels. In the winter, I wear special silicone gel socks around the house and sometimes even beneath my tights when I go out, just to keep my feet soft, warm, and constantly moisturised throughout the day.

Alternative and DIY non-toxic toilet bowl cleaners and disinfectants
"Although DIY-ing your toilet bowl cleaner won’t put a surprising amount of money back in your pocket with every batch, it will provide a safe and natural solution for stains at a reasonable price. [...] DIY toilet bowl cleaner is safer for you to use and friendlier to nature when it eventually finds its way back into the environment than most toilet bowl cleaning products. That said, homemade cleaners can still be hazardous to your health if you don’t take commonsense precautions to protect your eyes and skin when mixing or using them. Wear gloves and safety glasses or goggles when mixing your batch of toilet bowl cleaner, and be sure to store any extra cleaner in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, out of the reach of children."
Author's tips for using this recipe:
"Disinfect the brush. [...] After use, soak it in vinegar overnight to kill any bacteria lurking in its bristles".
"[...] Disinfect [the toilet tank] by pouring a cup of your homemade cleaner [...] letting it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, and then flushing several times."
"[...] If you have stubborn hard water stains that won’t come off with a standard cleaning, you can use a pumice stone to scrub them clean."
"[...] One thing I usually recommend as a way to save money and have to worry about less ingredients is to just use less products. You don’t need a separate cleaner for your toilet… You can just use a safe all-purpose or bathroom cleaner! That said, I know that some folks just prefer to use separate cleaners for their toilet [...] That’s why I’ve included some recommendations for those below as well. 👍"
"[...] Some ingredients commonly used in toilet bowl cleaners you’ll want to avoid when possible include: Ammonia, Antibacterials (including “quats” and things that end in “cide,” which are usually pesticides), Bleach, Fatty alcohols (This is common in conventional toilet bowl drop-in tablets and the automatic tablets you hook on the side of the bowl, which is part of what makes many drop-in toilet bowl cleaners unsafe.), Formaldhyde releasers (such as methenamine), Hydrochloric acid (which is different than hypochlorous acid), PEGs & other ethoxylated ingredients, Undisclosed “fragrance“, Unnecessary dyes (like the ones that turn your toilet water blue)"
Author's note against excessive anti-bacterial usage in bathroom cleaning:
"One of the biggest problems with antibacterials and disinfectants is that they contribute to antibiotic resistance. This is become a serious problem that leads to millions of deaths each year. Depending on the specific ingredient, other problems associated with antibacterials in general include aquatic toxicity, microbiome disruption, endocrine disruption, reproductive harm, cancer, asthma, and skin/respiratory irritation."
The author then lists brands to try that offer eco friendly cleaning products along with reasonable pros and cons of each product. The brands include:
Tumblr media
The DIY recipe
"This recipe comes from Julie Eigenmann! In a squeeze bottle or spray bottle, just mix together: 1 cup of water, 1/8 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup castile soap, like Dr. Bronner’s (alternatively, you can use non-toxic dishwashing liquid); Optional: you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oils if you want. Shake before each use. That’s it! 🌿"

Top Tips for Pedicures of Smooth, Gorgeous Feet
A pedicure is the best way of getting your feet looking and feeling as good as they can. You may be going for a pedicure in Bergamo or visiting a saloon in Trenzano. Whatever the case, here are top tips to help you enjoy beautiful, smooth feet even after the treatment is over.
1. Clean and Moisturize the Feet
It is also advisable to always have them clean by washing your feet and applying some cream to soften and keep them smooth after receiving a pedicure. This maintains the effectiveness of your pedicure as well as your skin's state free from dryness or cracks.
2. Regular Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation removes dead skin and helps prevent the formation of unsightly patches on your feet. Use a foot scrub or a pumice stone and gently exfoliate, once or twice a week, for best results. Ask your pedicurist, especially when you're getting a pedicure in Bergamo, for the best techniques for your skin type.
3. Trimming Your Nails Properly
It is very important to trim your toenails the right way otherwise you will end up with ingrown nails or pain. Do not cut them short and always cut them straight across. If you do not know how to cut them a pedicurist at one of the various saloon in Trenzano will be happy to make sure your nail has the perfect length.
4. Wear Comfortable Shoes
Your choice of footwear will determine your foot well-being. The tight shoes will create blisters or calluses on your skin. Choose those that allow breathing space for your feet and support it well. Comfortable shoes help maintain a healthy foot in between the pedicures.
5. Protect Your Polish
If you enjoy getting your toenails painted, be sure to seal the polish with a topcoat about every few days. This prevents your nail color from chipping and keeps it on for much longer. For a long-lasting look, consider getting a gel pedicure at a saloon in Trenzano .
Conclusion
By following these easy tips, you will be able to make it through your pedicure in Bergamo with smooth, beautiful feet. Home and professional treatments will keep them looking and feeling at their best all through the year.

Pedicure is not just a cosmetic service; instead, it's an end-to-end process that will help your feet be both healthy and good-looking. Here's what can be expected from a typical session of pedicure:
1. Consultation and Preparation
First and foremost, the technician will discuss your preferences and find out any specifics you might have before performing your pedicure. This is to ensure that the pedicuring service suits your needs. First of all, she will soak your feet in a comfortably warm, soothing bath. The purpose of this is to soften the skin and cuticles so further treatments will be easier and more effective.
2. Exfoliation
Exfoliation is one of the most essential parts of pedicure services. Your feet will be massaged well to remove dead skin cells and calluses. This is not only being performed in order to give your feet a good texture, but it also encourages the blood flow in your feet more effectively. Depending upon the needs, different exfoliating methods can be used accordingly, which may involve using a variety of scrubs ev,en pumice or electronic ones.
3. Nail and Cuticle Care
Exfoliation is followed by the cutting and shaping of toenails to your preferred shape and length. This treatment will also cover the treating of cuticles by softening and pushing them back and, if necessary, trimming the cuticles. The toenails and cuticles should be properly taken care of to evade problems such as ingrown toenails and infection.
4. Massage
Most pedicure services include a relaxing foot and leg massage. This will help loosen the tightness, improve blood circulation, and possibly heighten the experience. The massage is usually done with moisturizing lotions or oils, which give more hydration to the skin.
5. Application of Polish
Once that's done and your feet have been pampered to the fullest, the technician will apply your chosen nail polish. You can go with a classic color, go for something current and on-trend, or even go ahead and get nail art to give your nails your personal flair. For a long-lasting finish, gel polish can be applied coat, color, and top coat, all placed with care to go on smooth and last well.
6. Finishing Touches
Once the polish has dried, any finishing touches are added to get your feet looking the best. This may include further moisturizing or checking the general look of the nails and the skin on your feet. Based on this, your technician will be in a good position to advise you on how to maintain your pedicure's look and your feet healthy.
Integrating Manicure Services
While pedicures are for the feet, manicure services are for the hands. Most people like to get a manicure as a supplement to a pedicure because both make for a complete nail care treatment. Both also have similar processes, including nail trimming, cuticle care, and polish application. These combinations could turn out professional, polished, and perfect for whatever event you would like to attend.
