Fun little silly thought I had about the Lair Games and specifically Leo deliberately losing is all the reasons he could have for doing so.

My favorite headcanon for his main motivation is that Splinter wasn’t proud of him anymore.

I imagine that, in the beginning, winning the Lair Games was Leo’s opportunity to shine. He wasn’t artistic or the baby of the family like Mikey, wasn’t a tech genius who created amazing inventions like Donnie, wasn’t the eldest who was insanely strong and dependable like Raph. So he had to shine somewhere else- anywhere else- and what better way to get attention than to be a winner? A champion?

And then he won too much. And it wasn’t special anymore. He got too big headed, too cocky, he knew this was his element and he ran with it.

Splinter’s words of congratulations slowly petered out. Suddenly, there was no real reason to win.

Winning feels empty when the only one cheering you on is yourself.

So- Leo schemed. And he’s a great schemer, fooling his whole family (and Donnie did deserve a win- people were way happier when he won.)

He even gave up his prized possession! His room!

Though he knows his brothers probably think it’s a bad prize. A terrible one, even.

Leo doesn’t sleep much as is, though. So Dad’s snores were more comforting than anything. It was reassuring to hear him so clearly alive and close by.

Even if the distance between them was larger than Leo’d like.

He’d just have to find something else, something more to show his dad that Leo was someone to trust, to be proud of, to love.

He gets his chance soon after, when he needs to pull off a plan against Big Mama at his dad’s side. Leo can only hope this victory is one that has a lasting effect when his father looks at him with pride once more.

Victory, for Leo, is a pretty loaded term.

Do you think Bowser deserves to be redeemed in the sequel? I personally don’t think he deserves it at all. The guy attempted mass genocide. There ain’t no going back from that yet I’ve seen fans who genuinely believe that Mario and friends would just instantly forgive Bowser despite everything he’s done. Not to mention how extremely out of character it would be for Bowser to have a change of heart especially the movie version of him who is literally pure evil.

Mario and his friends are pretty forgiving, but you're right. In the movie verse, to instantly forgive Bowser after everything he did would be nothing short of ridiculous.

I don't see Movie Bowser changing anytime soon. He's dedicated too much time and resources to threatening and destroying the lives of everyone around him, and I for one don't mind if he stays just as he is. I love me a straightforward, unambiguous villain who is evil through and through and isn't shy about it.

However, I do know one character that, if introduced, would complicate Bowser and his relationship with the main cast, and that's this guy right here:

Though it's unconfirmed whether Bowser Junior is part of the movie universe, we know Bowser in the games... while not a perfect dad... is definitely a kind and loving father.

I can see Movie Bowser having a soft spot for his kid while still being steadfast in his plans to conquer the world and crush anyone who gets in his way. He's a terrible influence who keeps his distance due to the dangers of the battlefield, but he would gladly fight anyone to the death if it would guarantee Junior a bright future. If Junior got involved in the feud– probably due to his father's imprisonment in The Mushroom Kingdom –it would definitely make things a bit more emotionally conflicting for the protagonists. Ridding the world of a threatening tyrant is one thing, robbing a young kid of a dad who loves him is another, but you can't lose sight of the fact that the entire world is at stake.

On the flip side, I can see Bowser Jr. being the one avenue by which Bowser finds himself willing to extend some form of mercy. If Mario and Luigi put themselves on the line to ensure Junior doesn't get hurt, or Junior gets emotionally attached to one of the Mario Bros, I can see Bowser having a very very very slight change of heart.

Not a complete character turnaround, but a willingness to step back and say "forget it. I'll kill you another day."

one miya twins hc i just can’t believe isn’t true is mama miya telling the twins before the first day of kindergarten that it’s not ok to hit people most of the time but if someone else starts the fight you can finish it and if someone is bullying your brother you have permission to hit them. that very same day they come home and their mom almost immediately finds out that osamu hit a kid for saying atsumu was stupid, then the kid swung on osamu so atsumu shoved him to the ground within seconds

While he's waiting to pick up IK from her first day at school and all the parents are gossiping/bragging

Parent 1: My son can already count to twenty

Lucifer: Well, my child is the best one and vastly superior in every way, so write that down

75% of the time lucifer is a well-adjusted, well-researched father who is competent and trying his best, but every now and then a switch will flip and he'll turn into the biggest bitch the other parents have ever met who will side with his child on basically every count, and there is NO in between

(the switch is flipped when it's either bragging time or child-in-trouble time)

tbh this could be lucifer in general, he just tones it down the older ik is. he'll be making small talk with some important demons or smth and the subject of the demons' various relatives accomplishments will come up, and halfway through lucifer clears his throat as LOUDLY as possible before talking everyone else's ears off

I found the older drawing a bit ago and wanted to redraw it and give these two justice. It’s hard to believe it’s already four years old. It’s also really cool too see how much I improved over the last four years.

How little self respect do I have? I wished the dad I grew up with, was badly abused and disowned by a happy Father’s Day & a happy day with his bandaid child he had after deciding 17 years later, he no longer wanted a child that wasn’t his blood lmaoo. Funnily enough, we only reconnected because my mother died and I think he felt guilty I got left alone

Can we just point out how Jewish parents are savage as heck when it comes to you hurting yourself as the result of stupidity?

I broke my wrist as a kid, I thought trying to surf down the stairs on a piece of plastic was a good idea, it happened when I was hanging out with my cousins (dares are powerful things when you're 6)

So I get home and tell my mother my wrist hurts. At this point she is still confused as to what happened.

That woman, first words she said to me:

"well that was dumb, did you learn anything?" Calm as heck too, it wasn't rhetorical either. She made me answer. We ate dinner, then finally went to the hospital (where we waited nearly 12 hours, small town).

In her defense our local hospital at the time did not have food outside of vending machine candy stuff. So smart move, you don't want a small child that is in pain and hangry.
