I stumbled upon this piece of old Mario Movie concept art

and then my hand slipped.

(I’m 90% certain that the original is Jed Diffenderfer’s work. It’s rougher than his usual stuff, but it definitely matches his art style.)

A Mario redraw of the album cover for Keynsham by Bonzo Dog Band, based on comparisons Mario fans made of the Starman theme from Yoshi’s Island to the song Keynsham. Decided to focus this piece on Yoshi’s Island DS specifically because of the lyrics. Really enjoyed the whole album. Originally I drew this for Mario Day, but this ended up taking way longer than I thought, so happy belated Mario Day.
