Wow, this challenge looks like an absolutely enormous pain in the butt.

I saw someone point out that Luigi's flower has the smiley eyes on it, while Mario's flower... unlike everyone else's... is blank.

This implies that, while they're trapped in the same simulation, their dream world is based specifically on Luigi's fantasy.

Not a clue, but I heard that the level cap in Superstar Saga is 99, so I can see it being the same in this game.

I headcanon that Movie!Luigi is afraid of dogs because he was attacked by a dog as a kid. He knows not all dogs are aggressive, but whenever he sees one, he can’t help but think back to that traumatic memory and tense up.

Given the way Luigi immediately startled and tensed up the moment he saw Francis... who at that point had done nothing but chew on his bone and sit happily in his dog bed... I'm almost certain there's some sort of trauma going on there.

Fingers crossed that's something slotted to be explored in the future, especially in a Luigi's Mansion movie.

Pftt, that's true. But hey, just because someone has a dog-like personality doesn't mean they can't be afraid of dogs.

Heck, It's not uncommon for dogs to be deeply fearful of other dogs due to a lack of experiences or past negative interactions.

Luigi:

Athletic but clumsy

Audibly whimpers and cries when stressed

Extremely loyal and obedient toward those he trusts

Does far better when there's someone around to give him directions & tell him he's doing a good job

Mario:

Graceful jumper and really good at landing on his feet

Not good at expressing vulnerability but loves very deeply

Ridiculous amount of confidence for someone his size

Prefers companions but is very good at working solo

Yeah lol. Fuck those guys. Don't even try to fight them at this point. If anything you have to overlevel and/or apply a special battle plug to stand a chance. For now it's just a game of avoidance.
