I saw someone point out that Luigi's flower has the smiley eyes on it, while Mario's flower... unlike everyone else's... is blank.
This implies that, while they're trapped in the same simulation, their dream world is based specifically on Luigi's fantasy.

Luigi has always been the big brains brother who loves books and enjoys puzzles or using his brain for stuff, I saw someone point out that's why Luigi mansion serious is full of puzzles and figuring out stuff, using more of your brain than just reflexes and stuff
While Mario is the brawn, active and tougher brother, his games show that as your more adventurous and running around. I'm not saying he's dumb or anything just he's more into fixing, jumping and adventuring.
I enjoy those details about both brothers and I'm glad the movie showed some of that!! (And the games)
I have a sad but cute headcanon:
The reason why Luigi is a plumber is because being a plumber is Mario’s dream and he wants to help him.
If it’s true, the “you’re bringing your brother down with you” line hits harder
We’ve never seen him interested in plumbing himself. I think he's more into science and learning (despite being a scaredy cat, he's shown to be really curious)
Meanwhile, Mario loves plumbing, sports, and adventure.
That being said, I’m sure Luigi is happy with his life choices. He loves being by his brother’s side ❤️
EDIT:
Luigi would be a great engineer if given the chance. Sadly the only time we've really seen that side of him was when he was brainwashed.
+ Despite being a scaredy cat, he seems genuinely interested in E. Gadd and his inventions.
+ He likes botany according to Luigi’s Mansion. I LOVE that 🌱
