A new era is approaching ...

A draft for a new project is slowly taking life.

I'm still on a low battery level due to irl stuff finally taking over my mental health - but I'm positive I want to mesh Iris's story to the Deus Ex universe lore enough to bridge Mankind Divided to Deus Ex 1. I wanna start it soon, but I don't know when I'll actually start storyboarding.

I keep telling myself this comic won't be as long as code:1r15, but who knows? I plan to keep myself busy, and code1r15 was a great tool for this goal.

Still, I'm still settling down a chronology of events, adding my own spin to it, but also respecting the deus ex lore at much as I can, like I did for everything else up until now. I stay on my goal to make Iris an OC that doesn't interfere - simply adds. I did it for Mankind Divided, I think I have a good base to work with to make it happen again. If it sounds as a challenge to myself, it's because it definitely is.

I don't plan in answering major DX questions (like, is Adam a clone?), because deep down I still hope Eidos will be able to give us these answers one day - but I'll definitely hint into what I believe could be the answer.

I'll also consider it AU to code1r15, despite it being a canon-close sequel, because it has a few lines I don't accept myself. And I don't want to accept I'm putting my OC through this, lol.

Eido the shy ghost and Ben. E. Banshee. Names pretty self explanatory, other characters in the comic that’ll be introduced soon. They’re really fun to draw. Ben’s colors still need some tweaking but I wanted to share it anyway.

I’ve also gotten some help with editing for the dialog to fix some things up. Idk when the comic will be out yet tho, hopefully soon. I’ve been having fun with this little project for practicing comics. You’ll be able to see the progress over time 💀 cause the first few pages look a bit weird compared to rest lol.

I felt like writing but I don’t have the time in between classes and studying so I’m answering this ask I got a while ago. No I’m not taking requests right now.

He likes to sit in on the stories told by the eliksni of house of light. So he’s started bringing you with him, if only to give the story tellers a reason to retell their favourites

You, Eido and Crow have started telling stories as well. Hatchlings are fascinated by the journeys of guardians through the Sol system. Especially when you’re victorious

Because crow is in the house of light so often the hatchlings have started to trust him. He’s frequently become a babysitter for hatchlings while their parents work on repairs and their jobs

He likes to help Misraaks if food supplies are low and someone needs to go hunting or pick up a shipment

Glint loves to entertain hatchlings with projections of “bloopers” (aka. A fail comp of all of crows funniest deaths)

As crow explores he likes to take pictures of everything with Glint. It’s new to him - as he was on the Shore for so long, and he’s seeing it through the eyes of essentially a child.

He frequently shares these pictures with you, or takes you to particularly remarkable locations someone can only find if they’re paying attention to their surroundings instead of just running patrols

My design for King Ghidorah in Brothers of Ash. Depending on where I decide to start the story, he'll either show up pretty early or much later.

Anyway, lore under cut and a drawing where I experimented with colors.

Three Songs, also known as King Ghidorah, Monster Zero, Subject 0, Armless, and The Fallen Sun (damn, he's got a lot of names), was one of the Xillians "projects". He is a modified dorat, which is an alien species that the Xillians have collected and bred into domestication.

Backstory aside. Each head has their own mind and personality.

Logos, the middle head with red eyes, is the brains of the operation. He is critical and strategic, always devising a course of action. He's the most responsible, seeing the other two heads as his responsibility and considers them when thinking things through. Logos is the most calm and quiet of the heads. When he does speak, it's usually in response to something. He rarely speaks unprompted.

Pathos, the right head with green eyes, is the most aggressive. He's very raw and passionate, reacting strongly to almost everything. He's impatient, rude, selfish, and rash. He's the most honest of the group, although he hides his true emotions with anger as a defense mechanism. He clashes with the other heads a lot, often disagreeing with Logos and finding Eidos annoying. Out of all the heads, he likes fighting the most, anything to let off steam.

Eidos, the left head with blue eyes, is a carefree jokester. He's very curious and loves exploring and learning. He's the most observant, often noticing things that the other heads didn't. Unfortunately, his inquisitive nature makes his attention span fleeting. He likes teasing and joking with pretty much everyone (including enemies that are about to rip his throat out to make him shut up). He's also the most talkative, either commenting on something, asking questions, or pushing someone's buttons.

Compile Heart announces seven new titles – Madou Monogatari 4, Touhou Spell Carnival, and more

Compile Heart has announced its transition to a new management structure as of October 1, with Naoto Tominaga serving as president and Hikaru Yasui as director, as well as announced seven new titles currently in development.

Tominaga is a former Compile member, and also worked at Capcom, TAITO, Eidos, Ubisoft, and Electronic Arts, where he led game production and development, marketing, new business development, department management, and more, both in Japan and overseas. He has worked at Compile Heart parent company Idea Factory since 2020, where he has handled a wide range of duties.

Hikaru Yasui previously worked on a number of RPGs and simulation games as a producer at Sting, including games like Blaze Union: Story to Reach the Future and Hexyz Force. After leaving Sting, he worked in the social games industry before joining Idea Factory in 2020. He recently was the producer and director for both Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution.

With a new management structure in place, Compile Heart aims to maintain its same stance of chasing the niche market, while also expanding its scope to include not only Japan but overseas markets, as well as multiplatform development. It will also create games in more genres than ever before.

The five new titles announced are as follows:

Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels

Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels is a delivery-themed RPG for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC. It will launch for consoles in Japan in summer 2024, followed by PC via Steam a little later. The slapstick-style game will feature voluptuous, cute, and comical characters designed by Kei Nanameda, and story and gameplay that revolves around various personality types like moe and airheads. Compile Heart also conducted interviews with the Japan Post during development.

Touhou Spell Carnival

The game features character illustrations from Touhou Project reborn with a Compile Heart-like aura by Katsuyuki Hirano. The story revolves around a 30-day Spell Card Battle in which many character participate, with battle and story parts alternating. The game itself will combine the bullet hell shoot ’em ups with tactical battles. This includes incorporating familiar elements from shoot ’em up games, such as high-powered bombs. Combat itself is real-time.

Untitled Shoot'em Up Game

A genuine shoot ’em up game developed in cooperation with M2. It will launch for unannounced platforms in late summer 2024 in Japan. Character designs for the pilot and company have a Compile Heart-like aura. This will be a brand-new title with some never before seen challenge elements.

Madou Monogatari 4

Madou Monogatari 4 is the first new numbered title in the puzzle game series Mado Monogatari after several decades, developed by Sting in cooperation with intellectual property holder D4 Enterprise. It will launch for unannounced platforms in summer 2024 in Japan. Many former Compile staff are involved in the game’s development, including Sting’s president. SEGA is also cooperating, allowing the use of familiar characters such as those from the Puyo Puyo series.

Death end re;Quest Code: Zion

Death end re;Quest Code: Zion is a spin-off entry in the Death end re;Quest series due out for unannounced platforms in summer 2024 in Japan. The story is connected to Death end re;Quest and Death end re;Quest 2, and will feature new elements Compile Heart are able to challenge due to the fact that it is a spin-off.

Unannounced Numbered Death end re;Quest Title

A new, numbered entry in the Death end re;Quest series is currently in planning alongside Death end re;Quest Code: Zion. However, since a numbered entry requires more time, the spin-off will release first.

Unannounced Numbered Neptunia Title

A new, numbered entry in the Neptunia series is currently in development for unannounced platforms. As Compile Heart’s flagship series, it is taking its time on development. For about two years, key staff such as producer Naoko Mizuno and illustrator Tsunako have been shaping the game’s content, and a direction has finally been determined.
