I want to see more stuff about Shawn having a totally warped view of what normal people think. Like, the only way he knows to be normal is from his keen observation. He doesn't know how much normal people observe, just that it's less than him, he has no idea how much more or less, people watching can only get you so far. He has no idea how long and how much the average person can remember. I want to see him pretend to not notice something obvious because he underestimated what a non trained person would notice. I wanna see him point out something NO ONE would notice because he thought it was normal. I wanna see him pretend he doesn't remember something from that morning because he's not sure if normal memories go back that far, I wanna see him effortlessly remember a small thing that happened three years ago because he didn't realize normal memories were THAT bad, holy crap, dude! I don't remember this ever happening in canon and I haven't seen any fanwork of it but I NEED it, I need it so bad, y'all

April 3, 2024:
I've caught up, so no more Pentecost & Parker for me until the author writes more, but I'm a ride or die fan now. They got me. The sometimes-butch, sometimes-femme bisexual detective is in my bloodstream now.
I found this one a little annoying because of the important subplot being based on a pointless lie which always irks me, but I'll forgive it because the mystery part was so good.

Benoit Pioulard ā€” Eidetic (Morr Music)
Tumblr media
Eidetic by BenoƮt Pioulard
Thomas Meluch has such a specific and distinctive aesthetic that subtle variations within his sound catch the ear. His default setting is an amorphous wash of warbling, nostalgia-drenched tones, punctuated by muffled percussion, plucked nylon-string guitar and his hushed, multi-tracked voice. Patterns begin to emerge in his songwriting methods the more you listen, such as his fondness for introducing tambourine into the right channel to inject energy into a song, or fading a gentle rush of soft-focus bells into a glimmering instrumental. Just as you begin to tune out, the next song might shift a little, introducing a steel-string acoustic or electric guitar to allow the instrumental timbres to brighten in the mix. The sounds themselves are gorgeous, but itā€™s the ebb and flow of Eidetic that maintains interest.
Meluch has been working in this vein under his Benoit Pioulard moniker for the last 15 years or so, and he drifts back and forth between instrumental and vocal-led releases. Eidetic offers a pleasing balance of both styles. Though theyā€™re kept to a few minutes each, immersive instrumentals such as ā€œMargaret Murieā€ and ā€œWhere Toā€ feel like they could drift on indefinitely. In contrast, galloping guitar-led tracks such as ā€œThursday Nightā€ inject a slightly manic early-Animal Collective energy, like being shaken from staring listless at a campfire and swept into a stirring, clapping sing-along. The true outlier is ā€œThe Void,ā€ a breezy, beachy sway that momentarily puts one in mind of the retro British summertime sounds of Cliff Richards and the Shadows. Quite a shift from the shadowy, mossy, forest vibes of the rest of the record, but it works.Ā
After 45 minutes, when Eidetic draws to a close in a blur of tape hiss and bird song, it feels like waking from a dream. Though the album title refers to being able to recall specific mental images in detail, the hazy ambiguity of Benoit Pioulardā€™s music leaves the listener in a pleasingly disoriented daze.Ā

Garibdas Ji Maharaj says that this action is just a hoax, saying that the goat which is made halal on Bakrid is wrong. Nothing is achieved by this except sin.

Great things about having an eidetic memory:
1. learning languages is pretty easy
2. I never have to recount stitches when knitting and crocheting
3. I can learn whole songs only listening or playing once
4. I can play back books and movies in my head when bored
Not great things about having an eidetic memory:
1. I can remember every embarrassing thing Iā€™ve done since I was 3
2. Even though I remember everything, I still forget my keys, phone and wallet on the counter daily, like, why??
3. I can remember what people looked like at their worst/most unnatractive, and my brain values that the same as their current look
4. Everything is stuck on repeat always

The Eidetic Afterlife Hypothesis: a reinterpretation of death and dying
In cooperation with Santa Ana Literary Association, we present to you The Eidetic Afterlife Hypothesis. For those who experience anxiety regarding the subject of death, this book is a strange light in the darkness. There is another way of understanding the afterlife, a way that is sensible and measurable as well as impartial and universal, hidden in plain sight beneath the broad categories of theism, agnosticism, and atheism.
