It took me a while, but finally, here it is, a new illustration 🥳I don't know if the Brothers Grimm’s story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is as well-known outside of Europe, but I thought it was a lovely metaphor for KCD2's lore. Henry definitely has all the members of the Devil's pack hanging on to his lord Capon's tune. Do you find the little rats recognizable enough? Because I had a lot of fun personalizing them! 🐀🐀🐀

Kalina was surprised that he also lived in Ocean Crest because she could have swore she would have seen him in at least passing before. Maybe he was just on the complete other side of their building. Her best friend was her best friend because they had once been neighbors; it wasn’t like Kalina ventured too far out of her own little bubble. She was also pretty shy still too unless she was talking about something she was passionate about. “ she seems like she’s a sweetheart. Does she have an inside voice? Henry really didn't like talking to new people and found that as long as he had Wednesday around, the anxiety of talking to new people was a lot easier. But he supposed that's what she was good at, keeping him from having a panic attack. "I live in Ocean Crest too, but she's a pretty calm dog and I take her on lots of walks." He had been apprehensive about that at first, wondering if he should have found a house to rent or something, but in the end, he decided it was better to be proactive. Plus, Wednesday didn't really seem to care as long as she could stand next to him at any given second. "Do you need help carrying them to your car? Or I can run in and grab one of my totes if you have a long walk." He paused as she questioned the name. "Yup. Although she doesn't have anywhere near the same personality."

I think this quote fits very well with Henry and Hans, and their relationship. Both KCD and Black Sails are incredibly important to me and I can't believe they exist.
