Thinking about how perfect it was for Klinger to stay in Korea after the war with Soon-Lee. He made it very clear the entire show how desperate he was to go home to Toledo and often waxed poetic about Pakko's or the Mudhens, but that wasn't what he really wanted. I mean, yes he definitely did want those things, but the core of the issue was the war itself. He couldn't stand to be involved in all that killing and he didn't want to be separated from his loved ones. Korea was never actually a problem, it was the military. Being there with someone his loves while committing himself to helping her find her family is perfectly Klinger and falls in line with his motivation to help people wherever he can.

Soon-Lee is a great contrast with Klinger's first wife, Laverne. Klinger and Laverne were childhood sweethearts and he's got a million stories about the two of them together in Toledo, but she left him after what couldn't be more than a couple months. Arguably it's because the distance put a strain on their relationship, but she clearly knew what she was getting into when she agreed to marry him over the radio. Plus, she then left her second husband for a third guy, so I think she just can't commit to relationships. Klinger on the other hand is someone who dedicates his all to the people he cares about. Laverne was everything he wanted to return to, and she'd only ever be perfect in his memories.

With Soon-Lee though he has a relationship that actually appreciates and reciprocates his dedication. He doesn't need to keep clinging to the past, he can pursue a future with someone who makes him happy, regardless of what that looks like.

Frank in a dress art is asking for him and Margret getting dressed up together/Margret dressing Frank up/Frank shyly asking Klinger for help, tips, to borrow clothes or accessories, things like that. No matter what the situation, his face is beet red the whole time but also finds the dresses comfortable.

I spent WAYYYY too long on this omg I was having a lot of fun. Honestly this is basically what happens in a fic I'm working on! I don't have any scenes with both Margaret and Klinger yet, but I might write one!!

If the Klinger Collection is inaccurate please forgive me, I was drawing from memory. And if it's accurate? Send a get well card because I think drawing it accurately from memory is probably worse...

One of my favorite Klinger moments is when he physically carries bottles of blood against his body in his coat to warm them up for the patients. Just such a visceral expression of giving from his own body to help other people 🥺
