A species of Scansoriopterygid kaiju, they were mutated by a radon leak in the mine they lived in, eventually making them break out as their size rapidly grew, 3 Rodans are known as of right now: a female, her mate and their chick, all nesting near El Chichón, Mexico.

Sooo I have been playing with the concept of an au where Fire Rodan survived in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2. The first designs are the brothers during Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. The second are them in Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. Then there's Mothra cause she's fun to draw.

In this story, Jr was able to hear from inside his egg and remembers being called "precious stone" by Rodan, who guarded him since he hatched first. Rodan was named Young Warrior by Godzilla, who was impressed by the little one's fighting spirit and was grateful for being saved.

pixel kaiju update #4

Been a lil but here the next update with 2 whole new kaijus!

First of, THE LEGENDARY RODAN is finally here as a first serious threat to the local ecosystem of kaiju, rivaling even Godzilla himself??

Devil of the Fire Mountain is here to spread chaos and destruction, burning nature ablaze. Kaiju from the molten magma and fire.

Second, another hostile kaiju, original this time, or rather, a swarm. Juka, a shelled monster that terraforms its surrounding into a nest, spreading many smaller Jukis to spread terror.

Also fixed Godzilla's thigh texture a bit. May edit Rodan's head a bit later, his horns feels off.

Next big name probably will be Mothra after few original kaijus.

Just played the final battle of Tomb of Annihilation and I spent most of the battle wildshaped into a pterodactyl and concentrating on sunbeam. Or to put it another way:

Kaijune - day 20: fly 🦅🔥

the second iteration of Chaos Rodan, with the first pair being more Phoenix like. sadly- I have only sketch that out

Chaos Rodan

A kaiju in avian form, Rodan was one of the earliest to emerge from the dimensional tears created by Anguirus and Gojira. unlike most others, however, Rodan emerged as a pair and began causing chaos at an alarming rate with its extremely high flight speed that stands at the top of all kaijus.

speed was not the only factor, however, as the Rodans has demonstrated the ability to vibrate its feather-like scales on its wings to destabilize materials. However, unlike Gojira’s fog, Rodan’s destabilization effect doesn’t heat up or melt objects but shatter and explodes them no matter the object’s flexibility.

these two attributes alone has put the two Rodans near the top in term of threat level. Luckily, the two Kaijus was not as resilient as the others and has not shown any regenerative abilities which has allowed the combined force of the world’s military to take both down rather early on.

Unbeknownst to the population at the time, the two Rodans were a mating pair. Upon their death, one of the Rodan flew into the mouth of a volcano, burrowing itself down to its fiery doom but giving its offspring a chance to survive. This offspring, later named fire Rodan, emerged during the arrival of Ghidorah on Earth where it got into conflict with Gojira and Mothra before joining forces against Ghidorah.

Despite being a much bigger threat than its parents, having much higher resistance to conventional weaponry as well as a rather destructive heat Breath, this Rodan is rather docile and prefer to hibernate within its volcanic nest.

RaeKaijuverse Rodans and False Rodans

False Rodans are around 10 to 15 meters tall and covered in thick plumage, more pronounced and flashy in male individuals. True Rodans, occasionally called Fire Rodans, are essentially modern pterosaurs ranging from 40 to 50 meters tall. No sexual dimorphism and younglings are covered in proto feathers, which caused the mix up between the two species. It was once believed False Rodans were just the growing offspring of the True Rodans, but this was debunked in the 80’s. They both roam South America alongside the Giant Condor.

Next up is Liu Kang with his buddy (well, really brother).

I made his spirit kaiju/familiar be (Fire) Rodan because....there not much dragon-like fire kaiju that would fit Liu. Though, I couldn't adjust Rodan's beam more orange-colored so...this is the best I could do.

So, Liu found an egg while being an Orphan and going through the...traumatic of a certain kind portion of his life. (if you've seen the scene with Liu patching Cole up...you understand what I'm referring too)

When the egg hatches, Little Liu decides to name him Huǒgē.

My Au Rodan just very feisty and have his own three set of hatchlings but my Au ghidorah is in space and doesn’t know that he have offspring back on earth.
