08/02/25:Saturday thrift store finds! Had a chance to go to Salvation Army store this morning and I found these discs in their movies section. It's the typical marvel blurays. But the wrestling dvds got my attention. These are in a so-so condition. Sadly there was like two or three more that I wanted, but the discs looked bad, scatched, and beat up. So I left them behind. And the total for this little trip was $5.00. Not bad.

07/30/25: Wednesday fleamarket finds! Plenty of videogames today compared to the last few weeks. First finds were some average games. Two original Xbox games, a hockey ps2 game and a baseball ps3 game; all for $10. Next seller had some interesting stuff strewn about. But I grabbed what I liked. A Eurythmics LP record, a bullwinkle dvd, and two funkopops of Saint Seiya and Mister Fantastic. Thankfully, not $10 each like the stickers on them. But $10 for everything. There was a bunch more pops at three bucks each. But they were of shows I didn't really care for. At another place, I found more unopened dvds! Guy sold me eight dvds for $15. And lastly, I fished out more games and movies from a bunch of boxes. I made a decent little stack of ps2, wii and 360 games, three dvds, and a John Wayne western bluray for $8.00. And the guy gave me for free an empty DS and wii cases. Gotta get to the fleamarket early before the summer heat kicks in. Stay cool and hydrated, friends.

07/29/25: Box set thrift store bounty today! Hit up the three big stores in town. Goodwill was the one with the good stuff! The first thing I found was at Salvation Army Store, a demogorgon plushie for a dollar. At Goodwill, I think someone donated a dead man's collection. I saw lots of opened and sealed movies. I didn't really care for most of them since I already had them. But on a shelf, I saw a bunch of TV series. Many of them are still sealed! But once again, I wasn't too keen on the prices. The only saving grace for my cheap-ass is that they were unopened. At $6.99 each, it seemed neither good nor bad. And now that I'm at home checking my bounty, Amazon has them much higher. So I guess it's a win. Only the stickered ones were that high. And a few other dvds in normal cases that were mini series cost $2.99. I went back to the regular media section again, and I found a dvd of old pirate swashbuckling movies from the 50s and a mythology book. And there, I took another pic with their other sealed series. There's a few more I'm sorta interested in. But I already spent $93 bucks there. Including that shirt. So I'll hold off for a few days. I'm a firm believer, that if it's meant to be for me, it'll be there when I go back again. And lastly, the final thrift store I visited had a Yooka-Laylee ps4 game for $3.50.

07/25/25: Late self-birthday gifts have arrived! Last week I saw European videogame company Red Art Games have an online sale. Curiosity and my wallet got the best of me. I browsed their inventory and got all these games at 10€ each. Ooh, I'm using Euros! They didn't seem that bad in price. I don't think these got a physical release in America. And it's fun getting stuff from another continent. I got a little bummed too. There was like another four or five games that looked interesting, but they were sold out. Another thing I wasn't too happy with was shipping. It was out of my comfort zone. But I have to bear it. It is coming from overseas. Overall, I'm happy with owning my first PAL region switch games.

Here, I brought together my Hulk Hogan videogame covers with my googly eyes. I've done some over the years. It's my own Goofy tribute to the Wrestler. I, like many others, was a fan of Hulk Hogan growing up. And I enjoyed getting together every week with my brother and father to watch wrestling together. They are core memories of my childhood. As I got older, I still enjoyed his performances when he joined the competition and helped pay for some pay-per-views when he became Hollywood Hulk Hogan. And I also threw in many hours into these and other wrestling videogames. I felt a bit disillusioned and frowned a few times post-career at the life of the man beyond the blonde mustache. But his legacy is undeniable. Terry Bolea, the man with his numerous indiscretions and Demons, may have died this morning. But the dreams and concepts of Hulkamania will live on forever in the hearts of those kids young and old, who cheered on that huffing and puffing muscular, adorable goofball. To make a comeback, defying the opposition and coming out of it a champion. From playground, recess Brawls, to couch wrestling rings and jumping off the top-rope of mattresses. We've all imagined to be Hulk Hogan at one time. Rest in peace, Terry. Long live The Hulkster!

07/23/25: It's my birthday! It's my Burfday! And here's my fleamarket day buys! Right off the bat for $15, I got some old school texas instruments games, an atari 2600 game, two dvds, and a ps2 game. I dont even have the console. But these were cheap enough when the guy gave me a bundle deal. At another place, I got a mcdonalds Transformers toy and an actual Transformers toy, a modern reissue based on an old one. It was $2.00 for both. Next seller I got a variety of movies for $5.00. A bluray, a dvd double feature of Hotshots! And three VHS tapes. And as I was paying the man, I spotted two psp movies. But sadly they were empty. I was pleased when the guy said I could take them for free! And the old school computer items still showed up at the last fleamarket stall! A guy had a table full of plugs and cables, sticking out like the fat plug that it is. I saw an Atari computer plug. And it came home with me for $6.00. Thanks, friends, for the birthday wishes!

I'm hungry, so I'm gonna heat up some leftovers.
Kidding. This is what I bought at Salvation Army store this morning. Found some Skylanders toys and a small frying pan with a lid. Got the pan for $5.00 and seven Skylanders with some other little toys for $3.00. Just a fun trip before it gets really hot outside.

07/21/25: It's my birthday week, so I have the right to spend money on myself. Yes, that sounds like a nice excuse. 😉 After work, I went through the Toy section at Target and bought a Sting wrestling figure for $9.99 clearance. Then I went to gamestop cause I needed to use my $5 off promo. I found a switch visual novel called Our World is Ended. And gamestop had a sale where certain games are 4 for $20. I found a steelbook for Just Cause 4. And I tried looking through the ps4 section for other $9.99 games. But they're repeats for me. The other ps4 game I already have on switch, so I had to get it here. So then, I went to the Xbox section. I needed two more games, so I grabbed these two other ones that I know I don't have. At $5.00 each, they're more padding for my collecting habits. But it's fun getting something new.

07/20/25: Woot! Frenzy! More new games for me. I have a friend that wanted a switch game from them, but he was unable to order it. So he asked me to get it for him. And it's a dangerous temptation to scroll through their goods. I got him his game and I ended up getting these two for myself. The classic Suikoden and an indie game called Caravan Sand Witch. Welcome to the collection!

Here's both normal physical versions of The Messenger. I'm aware of better, more limited editions. But I'm fine with these. I'm fairly sure these are newer print runs, too. The switch one came from VGP, a Canadian gaming company who gets or reprints certain games. And of course, I had to wait a month or two to get it, since they had to fill their pre-orders and then send it out. The ps5 version came from Woot! Who many times gets excess or special items from Amazon. So I can safely guess that's how they got it. And it was quite cheaper than the switch copy. Thankfully, these 2nd prints were made so others can get the game easier. Game on!

07/18/25: Friday thrift store finds! It was a sort of pallet sale today at Salvation Army. I pulled out toys from various areas. A few plushies, but most everything was simple, kiddy Transformers toys. And I paid $10 for all of it. At Womenhaven thrift store, I found some interesting media. Looking through their movies, I found some campy B&W 50's sci-fi horror on VHS. Day The World Ended and It Conquered The World. And it was an instant buy when I saw a Chuck Norris tape called Silent Rage. Moving on to the dvd area, I found an anime series, a wuxia movie and a western. Total here this time was $11 dollars. Stay cool this weekend, friends.

05/17/25: My manga collection of Full Metal Alchemist has gotten bigger! I ordered some books from Target last week because they had a b2g1 free deal. But unfortunately, they were missing certain volumes. My ocd kicked in cause I wanted to buy them in order. I got vol 1, 2, and 3 earlier this year. But Target only had 5 and 6. But no 4. Darn. So I looked online and found another online retailer with more of them. Called Thriftbooks. There I found vol 4. But I still needed one more book from Target to get the deal. And Target didn't have vol 7, but they did have 9. So to keep it all in order, I went and bought 7 and 8 from them. So the ones from Target were on special and the ones from thriftbooks was a bit below retail. That's just the way it goes. And now I'm 1/3 of the way from owning the whole manga series. There, in the second pic, is what I own so far in my hardcover FMA collection. All in order and looking good and vibrant. Hopefully, my next purchase of these won't be as complicated.

07/17/25: Howl at the summer moon clearance! Walmart steelbook deal! This 4k bluray isn't gonna get any cheaper, retail. So I had to get this rarer special edition this morning. Plus the artwork is fantastic on the classic horror flick, The Wolfman.
