I watched Starship Troopers tonight.

...I SOOOOO want an AU fic that depicts JUST THAT. Watch him go from the dark side to the light, due to Scully, and have him blow the minds of the TLG with how he easily verifies their theories and even introduces new concepts to them because of what he’s seen and what he knows...think of how devastating the confrontations would be between CSM and Mulder, after he basically defects from the Syndicate, and how Bill’s death would be much more dramatic and filled with unbearable tension...how Samantha might even still be kidnapped and held hostage by the Syndicate, just to try and sway Mulder back to their side for the sake of the Project, but she’s so badass, she basically rescues herself and reveals that she’s known all along what her dad and big brother have been doing (despite being left on the sidelines because she’s a WoMaN and a MuLdEr), and has worked with Marita, Monica, Doggett, and ALEX KRYCEK to bring them down...but Alex is still Alex.  Teena actually opens her fxcking mouth, after Bill’s death, and confirms how she’s known what’s been going on for the entire time and even explains how CSM came to her, told her to choose either Fox or Samantha, and she said neither and pointed a gun at him and told him to gtfo and never come back...and he leaves...and Bill and Teena never go over to their friend’s house to play bridge (or what-the-fxck-ever they were doing that night in which they left two defenseless kids alone in the house when they KNEW there was the Syndicate, waiting in the wings, to swoop in and steal their babies) and instead take a family trip and Mulder’s memory montage of how his dad sat him down, later that night, and explained to him what he was REALLY doing at the DoD and how it was his hope that Fox would one day take up the mantle after he set it down and continued the work...and surprise, mf’ers, Bill Mulder was working against CSM the WHOLE TIME (still), cause he knew CSM was an evil, narcissistic fxck that would taint the Project with his own selfishness and two-faced-ness...and sought other like-minded individuals (like that British guy) within the organization who would endeavor to make sure that the antidote to the Purity virus was mass-produced in some fashion or another...and what did they come up with in the 1970's? A SCIENTIFICALLY ENGINEERED SUPERSTORM THAT RAINS THE ANTIDOTE DOWN UPON THE ENTIRE GLOBAL POPULATION, VIA SATELITE COORDINATION AND WEATHER MANIPULATION...and it kills those motherfxckin’ bees. (It might even save the environment and prevent climate change - who knows...*shrugs*)

(Samantha knew this all along, as she overheard them talking that night - eavesdropping little sister anyone? - and actually took up the mantle to continue Bill Mulder's work while big brother Fox fell to the dark side because of CSM and Diana Fowley seducing him with knowledge and sex...Fowley claiming the latter of course, despite the obvious EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, and only because Phoebe Green had screwed Mulder up after he ran away to Oxford, England to get away from the "family business"...and Mulder doesn't have a childhood fear of fire, at all, because that was literally mentioned ONCE throughout the whole series, and he seemed to get over it after season 1 anyway. Lowkey unnecessary). Meanwhile, still got those pesky bounty hunters, MOTW cases, greys, abductions, trips to Antartica, and the cancer arc...but Mulder bursts in and saves Scully right as her ova are about to be harvested...takes her to Switzerland so she can recover in neutral territory...but Diana Fowley still makes an appearance (goddammit, I hate her as much as I love her just for the angst, tension, and drama she causes) and tries to seduce Mulder back to the dark side and almost succeeds - as Scully licks her wounds and pouts sexily and gets the rightful apology she deserves when Mulder is an asshat to her - but then Mulder STILL gets betrayed by her when the artifact acts up and the “god module” *insert eye roll here* reacts in Mulder’s brain...and I think his mind powers should be explored more as he tries to outsmart Diana by reading her mind and realizing her true intentions and how she recognizes that HE recognizes what those exact thoughts are...maybe there’s brain surgery...maybe there isn’t...and then Mulder and Scully go on the run to try and set off the computer virus that was engineered to take over all of the satellites, the world over, to beget the super-antidote-storm, and are chased by UFOs, bounty hunters, ALEX (who is definitely confirmed to be bi because representation matters...Scully too), Syndicate agents within the FBI, CIA, NSA, TSA...all the alphabetical-organizations...and then the epic stand-off between Mulder, Scully, and CSM right as our two idiots-in-love are about to push the button...Mulder gets shot, but pushes the button! Scully kills CSM (cause fxck yeah, she would) and Alex comes along and shoots CSM again, just to make sure, and then disappears as the rain comes down and Scully and Mulder get their epic make out, zoom-out scene as the rain continues to encircle the globe and the aliens, bounty hunters, and whatever-else are forced to leave the planet (cause now it’s uninhabitable) and the Purity virus fizzles out of existence everywhere (except for one or two Petrie dishes in a freezer somewhere...cause, ya know, the Syndicate...which ironically are labeled “Rob” and “Laura” *wink, wink*)...

And, to put the final “the end” stamp on the series, flash forward to three months later, where an obviously FOUR-MONTH pregnant Scully, in her apartment, turns off the TV, where mainstream news stations are still reporting deaths from flooding and a mysterious illness (b/c not everyone’s biology is the saaaaaaame)...around the world...and both Scully and Mulder lament about these innocent people having to die so that the rest of the world could be saved...but that they can’t regret their choice to push the button, despite the costs, which ironically parallels them to CSM and the Syndicate...but then they’re driving to Mrs. Scully’s place on NOVEMBER 23rd, 2000...where they will be staying for THANKSGIVING, and SAMANTHA AND TEENA will be in attendance along with Bill Jr. (who is still a dick and STILL hates Mulder), Charlie, and Melissa, who is paralyzed, but alive, after getting shot in the back five years ago in Scully’s apartment...Mulder may or may not be able to fix that with his connections...and the TLG will also be in attendance because they didn’t DIE EITHER! Mrs. Scully also invited Walter Skinner, who is already there, and planning on backing up Bill to bully Mulder over the football game and Scully and Scully Jr...’s. Scully doesn’t know it yet, but she will be having fraternal twins...cause alien-spliced DNA and the chip and Mulder’s super-special-sperm...and fxck those writers who thought it was a good idea to have a woman give birth at 53 years old!!! Did no one google women’s health, while being pregnant at that age, before writing that in?!?!?!

*Samantha and Scully getting more female-empowerment scenes because fxck CC for making Sam the eternal damsel in distress and for making Scully the damsel in distress more times than not...which she did NOT deserve and was smart enough to handle dangerous situations in different ways; especially given her thorough FBI training.**CSM is disproved to be neither Fox’s, or Scully-Mulder twins, (possible) biological father due to the use of scientific evidence, via DNA testing that Scully conducts herself...the TLG kept some of his hair for DNA-related purposes...and maybe as a souvenir because he was such a villain...cause they were Mulder and Scully’s ride to the final destination where they hacked into a federal satellite. CSM’s biological son is known as Uncle Spender because he was at first jealous of Mulder and the favoritism of the Syndicate for him, but then he was grudgingly won over by Mulder when he both defected and saved his life from his homicidal father...despite the loss of his mother...and is also susceptible to Mrs. Scully’s mothering and food. I just feel kind of sorry for the guy, ya know...he could’ve been a redeemable asshole...especially after what his father did to him, both physically and mentally and emotionally...even spiritually.***Marita and Alex fxck off to who-the-fxck-knows and screw each other’s brains out over a job well done, despite the fact that they carried on the most double-agent bullshit that, more than once, fxcked up the seemingly painless operations for team Smulder and team Syndicate****Monica and Doggett get together and decide to adopt a little girl.*****Samantha Mulder is a child psychologist and may/may not be flirting with Melissa when Mulder and Scully arrive for Thanksgiving...or maybe brings her girlfriend with her that she met in-between kicking Syndicate ass and helping kids who have suffered traumatic experiences.

Would Mulder have just been a yes-man in the FBI/Behavioral Science Unit if he never lost Samantha?

Vivziepop and Queer Rep

As we all know, many fans and media reps alike have commented on the apparent "queer rep" seen in both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel with many sighting their MLM relationships and use of Sallie May as proof of Vivzie's dedication to queer rep. Yet for how much this idea is spouted across social media, I cannot say that Viv truly cares about Queer Representation in her shows. The apex of this disagreement comes from phrase that man people seem to not remember when it comes down to queer rep: Representation for one is not Representation for all.

In her hyperfocus on thin, cis mlm relationships, Vivzie creates rep for only those relationships, leaving behind countless other queer identities and relationships that also heavily need queer rep. The largest dismissal of queer individuals/relationships in HH or HB appears in characters that fall into one of three categories, The Fat, Sapphic, and The Nonbinary.

The Fat

When some of you look at this, you may be confused as to what fatness has to do with queer rep, I would tell you that it has a lot to do with it. Fat people are not inherently removed from queerness and have been there since the beginning, the creation of the term Bear is proof of that. This is the first strike on HH and HB's records.

As many other creators have thoroughly pointed out, fat representation is abysmal in both HH and HB with either shows either lacking fat rep completely or having fat characters made using more fatphobic stereotypes than I could count. With this poor managing of fat representation, its no surprise that Vivzie pop ignores all possible avenues of queer rep with fat people involved. This also impacts her presentation of mlm ships with all those in these ships only appear as thin cis men, not a single bear or trans man in sight.

The Sapphic

The second largest and arguably most obvious strike against Viv comes in her disturbing lack of sapphic relationships in both shows. While HH has at least one sapphic ship (Charlie and Vaggie), HH has none to speak of. As a result, Viv's ratio of Sapphic to Achillean relationships is heavily one-sided.

It shouldn't take me having to say this for many of you to realize that you cannot claim to have true or complete queer representation when you ignore a whole side of the queer community. While this issue in sapphic relationships likely tied to Vivzie's smaller amount of women in her stories, this does not excuse it. Having one or two of these secondary characters be in a sapphic relationship (especially Sallie May) be shown or even mentioned in passing (not random background shoots) has having a girlfriend would fix this issue, but we cannot even get that.

The Nonbinary

The final strike against Vivzie's queer rep comes in both shows ignoring the existence of nonbinary characters as a whole. While we get some presentation for the binary trans community (even though most are background characters never seen again besides Sallie May), we have yet to see a single nonbinary character in either show's canon.

This is honestly fucking ridiculous. To ignore an entire gender identity because its easier or you simply don't want to is ridiculous and should strip any claimed queer rep media from their title. Nonbinary people have always existed throughout time in different countries and cultures. To think that they're wouldn't be a single nonbinary sinner or demon in hell after all this time does not make sense.

Trans people on the binary and nonbinary side have the right to representation equally, and even if we were to ignore the concerns about Viv's current trans rep, trans people deserve more rep than random background characters and a one dimensional trans woman.

The Finale

As I end this essay, I do want to say that I wanted to discuss HH and HB's treatment and ignorance of asexuality and aromanticism as they are both highly relevant to the discussion. However, I need to do more digging on Alastor and his ace situation first before I do so in order to prevent spreading misinformation.

But even without this section, I still stand on my belief that neither of Viv's shows should be paraded around as good queer media or as truly supporting queer rep. While HH has a little more leeway with Viv's only sapphic ship, HH and HB still ignore large sections of the queer community. It feels more like Viv is picking at the parts of the community she likes more, grabbing at the more marketable identities and appearances until she has enough to call her show queer.

I hope one day Viv will listen to her fans and critiques about this lack of other queer identities but I will not hold my breath. All that is left to say is that queer people deserve better especially in adult shows and in animation. Picking and choose what queer people you include in your media simply because you like one more is the farthest thing from queer rep.

least favorite saiki ship and why ?

... its torisai LMAO.

i dont like saying it on here much cuz its one of the most popular ships in the fandom (the number one most popular ship is kubokai, and im not a fan of that either ☠️ i just think theyre the ship you get from looking at the show/manga purely at surface level and just picking two characters that are close friends and saying 'they should date' even though they wouldnt actually fit together.. i just dont see it personally lol.. OKAY ANYWAY SORRY-) but i really dont like torisai 🧍🏻‍♀️

i literally just posted today about people shipping things in ways that mildly trigger me, and torisai shippers do it pretty bad !! for some reason, mikorei shippers and yumetori shippers etc dont really do the thing that torisai shippers do where they romanticize sexual assault in the way they write them.. im not sure why that is, maybe they think that men cant be sa'd in the way women can ? they think cuz its a gay ship that its okay to write tori sexually harassing and assaulting him (+acting like its cute, not tagging it accordingly with warnings, etc) ? crazy. especially since saiki is implied to be a victim of sa (or at least is canonically a victim of sexual harassment and attempted sa) by his brother..

that whole thing is something i genuinely think is awful and nobody should romanticize sa, but toritsuka isn't inherently awful and still had potential and good character development, so that alone doesnt really make the ship that bad since the shippers are the problem.. i actually used to be okay with it until the shippers ruined it for me, but thinking critically about it (and thinking about WHY the shippers believe that their dynamic is so sexually abusive) did make me realize how much the ship sucks anyway.. (imo !!)

its partly because i project onto saiki, but i already mentioned how saiki is canonically a victim of (at least attempted) sa, and i reallly believe that he would not be interested in dating someone who is so obsessed with sex to the point where he canonically sexually harasses people and tries to peep without their consent !! he is literally an sa victim, obviously that would make him so uncomfortable!!

their friendship at the end of the series is nice and one of the most developed in the series, so i get where people got the ship from, cat tank incident invites a lot of content about them... but toritsuka still has a lot of work to do on himself before he can date ANYONE, and ESPECIALLY a literal sa victim..

when he saw saiki as a girl, one of the first things he did was DIRECTLY ask him about his boobs.. WHY WOULD HE DATE HIM AFTER THAT SKSNKAKAMSK..

actually lol, when i made that post today about ship content that triggers me, part of that was specifically inspired by torisai shippers lol.. (not all ofc and no hate, it just isnt my thing !! torisai mutuals i love u please don't unfollow me..) ive seen multiple people post about how they love torisai BECAUSE they would be absolutely awful for each other and bring out the worst in one another.. like hmm.. great for you if you enjoy that, but that is entirely why i DONT ship it !! i hate ships like that, i love my fluffy healthy romantic ships !!

okay anyway anyway, i love their platonic friendship, they care about each other lots, theyre one of the most developed in the series, their friendship has lots of potential, etc.. i just dont see it romantically !!! maybe in the far far future, but definitely not at the point they are at the end of the series..

why is it bad to say that u don’t like the ending? i know that fanfiction is free but you post it on the internet and the site that has the option for comments, why is it so surprising that someone sometimes doesn’t like something? u get so many nice messages and people praising ur writing and u choose to instead focus on one negative comment

maybe because it’s just rude ?? like if someone brings a plate of cookies to work to share with everyone, there’s a chance someone won’t like them and can make a comment but does that mean they should ?? that’s rude and ungrateful to something provided to them without asking for anything in return. just because something is not ur cup of tea does not mean u need to voice that about peoples work. i’m not choosing to focus on one comment i’m self confident enough and happy enough with other peoples kind comments that one rude one won’t keep me up at night but that doesn’t mean i have to appreciate the sentiment. i have been working on that fic since march. i spend my free time and pour a lot of work into my writing. things that i write can be personal to me and when i share them to the internet for free, it’s not to subject them to criticism—it’s to share with people for them to enjoy. if they don’t, that’s okay. no need to voice that. as soon as you pay for my works like novels, you’re free to criticize what you blew your money on. until then, be polite and either leave a nice comment or move on

time to be annoying. when one of the most important scenes in your entire manga hinges around a man having built relationships with two groups but you only ever show him in relation to one of those groups, and it's the group using the other as living factories, that weakens the overall message on the value of understanding and communication.

I actually think him calling that plant a brat is in vein with him telling Lina it's not a big deal that adult men touched her butt: a difficulty comforting people who have been unfairly injured because he struggles with the cognitive dissonance his own stance causes him, which is not unique to the stance on plants we're communicated through his on-screen moments.

it's clear Vash has some reverence for his sisters - we see moments of it in all three iterations of trigun. it's also clear that Vash is deeply angry, deeply unhappy, and uncomfortable with people lashing out against their oppressors in ways that might entail violence or harm. it's also clear that no, he is not working to educate humans, better the plight of plants, and build plant-human relationships. when he sees an angry plant, he reacts just as he does to an angry human child has been hurt.

Ok but fr Asmodeous eats so fucking hard. I know some people were really unsatisfied with his design and role but idk I’m obsessed with him. To me he’s got one of the best designs and a GREAT voice actor so as for now I don’t have any redesigns ideas I’d leave him as he is but I do have a creative bone ITCHING to get my hands on him so we’ll see in the future. How’s it feel to have the best character design in the whole Helluva Boss series huh?
