you don’t need to keep perfecting something before you put it out into the world. it’s already good enough. if you keep perfecting it, you will never truly be done with it and satisfied with the results, and the anxiety over it will only get bigger. don’t let perfectionism paralyze you. you’re trying, and you’re learning from your mistakes, and the things you do are already good enough because you’re putting so much effort to it already, so they don’t need to be perfect. you don’t need to be perfect. and you don’t need to do things perfectly to make up for the fact that you are imperfect, to justify your existence, to feel you are good enough, to earn being seen as a valuable person. you are already enough, and you deserve kindness and compassion, specially from yourself.

i love it when characters are codependent. i love it when losing someone feels like losing a limb. i love it when two people "complete" each other so wholly and terribly that one can barely function without the other. i love it when the fear of losing the only person who understands them is so all-consuming they'll destroy anything to stay together, including themselves.

Nothing will dispell the "the curtains were just blue" myth faster than writing something yourself, because the amount of pretentious symbolism i am putting in my silly little fanfics is ridiculous. I mean SO much with these words, literally every single one of them. This fic has twenty five typos and zero correct uses of punctuation but if there's curtains you bet your ass I put thought into what colour they were.

We should all be less embarrassed to be caught trying tbh. Wanting to be something is only ever bad if you’re trying to imitate others without ever forming your own thoughts opinions or taste. But I have never looked down on people who’re trying to get somewhere or called them wannabes or mocked them for it. Like that’s admirable actually. There is nothing wrong w having goals and trying at something until you’re good at it. And there’s nothing wrong w the initial phase where you’re struggling. That’s the most natural thing in the world

watched someone on youtube saying they don’t try things because they’re afraid of it being a waste of time and I’m coming to realize the only time wasted is when you’re not trying at all. idk I’ve been paralyzed by fear a lot in a life, and I can see where that comes from but what I’ve learned is that it’s better to put yourself out there than to regret not doing things all the time and living with the fear of missing out. is it really a waste of time or is it time spent living your own life the way you want to when you’re not hurting anyone or yourself? it seems that being paralyzed is always so much worse
