imo a lot of the advice online is discouraging and exaggerated esp for natural hair or supr vague so from my xp
yes you can bleach your hair with baking soda and 3% hydrogen peroxide
hydrogen peroxide w/o the baking soda doesnt seem to be effective
coat your hair with oil b4 to minimize it breaking or drying out etc
my hair was jet black naturally and it got a natural looking reddish brown tht kind of resembles my skin tone i think
i put the mixture in myself n tried to distribute evenly but my roots got a lot lighter than the edges of my hair it doesnt look bad imo it kind of gives a like highlights vibe but if you're hoping for a really even result i'd advise having someone else apply it for you
i didnt wash it out with any specific shampoo just what i usually use
a bit more personal idea
so i hv texturized hair the last time i texturized it was a little short of a week b4 bleching it.
my hair isnt in a terrible state but it does hv some damage n suffers from not staying moisturized which im working on but the bleaching did not make it feel any more dry or damaged than it already was and again i think coating it with oil helped tht.
i dont hv a specific hair care routine but ive been trying to coat it with castor oil at night so i did tht the night b4 bleaching it n then bleached it in the morning.
my hair is short but i kinda had an undercut mohawk thing growing out so the back n sides are shorter myb 1/2 inch n the longest parts are abt 2 inches. the shorter parts bleached like fully the longer parts the roots bleached but the ends didnt as much they're pretty much almost my natural hair colour
i initially sprayed the peroxide all ovr n waited almost 30 ish mins checked n nothing happed so i mixed the peroxide n baking soda n within like 5 mins it started getting really hot n sizzling (very fun feeling!!!!) n then i washed it out in abt 15 mins ish
i didnt do a spot test or anything b4 so if like me u just wanna 'make a risky decision' ur not likely to run into any srs problems but i've used peroxide on my skin for cuts n stuff in the past n i wash my hair with baking soda from time to time so i didnt expect any bad reactions.
edit: also it will get lighter as time goes by it's been a week and my hair is much lighter than it was at first i'm intrigued to see how much lighter it will get over more time

I love being T4T. My gf has been on estrogen for a couple weeks now and she's been having a rough time with her mood so I'm teaching her about the ancient art of soaking in a bubble bath with a little drink to sip while watching shows on your laptop
#pro-tip for any girls newly on E. this is The Cure for PMS#(which accurately describes what youre going through btw)#other great cures include putting on nice smelling lotion and fuzzy socks and wrapping yourself in a blanket burrito/nest#also eating lots of chocolate or other sweets and drinking your favorite caffeinated beverages#my mom used to always put on lotion and fuzzy socks and drink dr pepper and eat chocolate#my cousin likes to watch netflix in the bath with wine and then get in a blanket burrito with her favorite lemonade tea#if youve got someone to take care of you then you dont even have to come out of the burrito. you can just ask them to bring you things#all of these methods help a lot. we're experts on this you can trust me (family of people with endometriosis)#also if youre having headaches and bloating and stomach pain you might try midol (generic works fine)#it has acetaminophen for pain + caffeine for headaches (like excedrin) + antihistamine for bloating#also to clarify: i said girls newly on E only bc i figured girls who have been on it for a while might have already figured this stuff out#but PMS is by no means exclusive to transfems who have newly started on E#many transfems have reported getting PMS symptoms and even cramps on a monthly basis after being on estrogen for a while#this is bc after a while on E your body can start naturally making more estrogen and this can come with its own hormone cycle#and as a result you can essentially get all of the symptoms of a period just without the actual bleeding#(this can include cramps bc even in cis women the signals for the muscle spasms can sometimes get misdirected to nearby organs—#unfortunately causing stomach issues as well)#so if anyone out there happens to not already know this information and youve been feeling like shit periodically for seemingly no reason#now you know 😅#its your period#rambling

Okay so I've been eating your art for a few days? Weeks? Months? Ever since I found you through my Welcome Home hyperfixation help it has me in it's death grips and just, admiring all the details you put into your pieces?
Like, I can't tag every little detail I come across and like from what you post, because I would be too distracting from the contents of the post and my gushing and speculating derived from that alone, but I see and like them even if I don't say too much about it.
For instance, don't think I didn't see the grime at the edges of Frank's frown and mouth in your Lights Out AU post! It is such a small detail to notice, but it really sells the idea of the puppets becoming grimy, scruffy, and dirtier as time goes on and they are stuck in the dark with little to nothing to clean themselves. I feel like it is most noticeable with their hair, as my gosh do they all need a hair brush by the time we see the group interactions of the unlikely four, but I enjoy seeing their disheveled selves as they try to go through life in the dark. While I won't pick up on every little detail, the stuff I do see is really interesting a think about, that you didn't need to add it but you did because you enjoyed making it l, and it's pretty heartwarming in a way for me you know?
Anyways, as a fellow artist, it's both cool and concerning because I get the gist of how much time and energy it can take to make stuff! I enjoy and adore your art and thoughts a ton, just remember to take care of yourself and not to push too hard on yourself to make stuff! Stretch and drink water, etc etc etc, and remember there are always people who will like what you make, be it dragons, welcome home stuff, and oc thingies!

We really don't talk about Hammer and her grief enough.
Like her life is perfectly fine before we show up, boring, but fine.
And then we show up, suddenly her fathers dead, shes breaking her vows and adopting a name she'd expressed disliking before.
She literally forces herself to change to run from her grief, and its enforced by Theresa who only really sees her as an asset.
And she latches on to sparrow SO hard. They become friends so quickly(in my heart they bond over the watching a loved one die trauma) and then just as quickly they're taken from her yet again by Lucien, just in a less permanent way.
And we know she spends that decade we're gone becoming well acquainted with the pubs, its super heavily implied she's an alcoholic with how Garth talks to her, an how our first time seeing her is in the Rookridge Inn, drinking. We know she attempted to go back to the temple, probably for some sort of comfort, just to leave more disgruntled. She promised to take care of our dog, and yet hes with Theresa when we returned.
That all mixed with how her fire to fight is dimming, and she begins to lament all the violence she once craved and seemed to still seek when you returned.
And then at the end she blames you for the Hollowmen in the cave(which I don't doubt it would have been safer with just two monks, but thats assuming the Hollowmen don't see her as a threat as well) yet also(if you're good) still expresses she sees you as her best friend.
So much pressure was put on Hammer during the time sparrows gone in the spire, and it breaks her.
She never really got to heal from loosing her father, more and more just kept happening and I hope in the post game she's happy and healing.
