Faint memories.

He often thought about the Cetra, if she was happy in the livestream. Reunited with Zack once in for all .

He never knew how he felt about aerith, her final words to him at the church didn’t help either.

She always spoke about him, how his eyes, his position in solider, everything pointed at something he couldn’t remember. How him and Zack were friends and he took what little Zack had left.

His love and memories of Aerith.

He continues to stare aimlessly around the church, his eyes following the details, as his thoughts continue to consume his reality.

“And I’m trying so hard to find you”

Her soft voice rung in his head as he often replayed those words.

He remembered those words, at that point he didn’t even know who she was trying to find in him. Whatever crumbs were left of Zack? Or cloud, the former infantry man who was never who he said he was?

“Damn it” he uttered staring at the ceiling, looking up at the wooden beams him and aerith once walked through. His insecurities and doubts were showing again.

He always thought about aerith, thinking of any and every possibility of what he could’ve done to save her from the hands of fate.

Yet all came to the same conclusion,

Masamune through her heart. Piercing it as if his own. When he realized the reality of what happened.

Aerith is always meant to be with Zack and die at the hands of Sephiroth, only living in clouds faint memories, and the flowers she’d left.

No matter the reality or universe she will always die.

It shattered him, but she was happy with Zack in the lifestream.

They could finally be together, and here he was suffering as he stared at the Lillie’s in her church.

Waiting silently, for his end.

So he can see her one last time
