Is a Multi-Vitamin as Effective as Taking Individual Vitamins?
Are you thinking about adding multi nutrition supplements to your health routine? Multi-vitamins are a great way to boost your intake of several vitamins and nutrients in one convenient pill. They're readily available and affordable, making supplementing your health easier than taking several vitamins individually.
Many manufacturers even produce multivitamins targeted at specific needs and age groups. But is taking a multivitamin as effective as individual supplements?
Filling Nutrient Gaps
Whether or not you benefit from taking multi nutrition supplements depends on your needs and overall health. For most people, multivitamins are just as effective as taking individual vitamins. It may be more effective at filling deficiencies you didn't realize you had.
Multi-vitamins offer a more holistic approach to supplementing your nutritional needs. You can take a single pill to ensure you get everything your body needs. Most aren't fully aware of their daily nutrient intake unless they work closely with a dietician or doctor. Therefore, many have subtle deficiencies they might not know they should address.
In those cases, taking a multivitamin is an effective way to cover all your bases. Even if you get enough other nutrients in the supplement, you fill the necessary gaps to optimize your health. With many options and formulas available, getting what you need is easy without understanding the specifics.
When Multi-Vitamins Aren't as Effective
If you have targeted health concerns, the better choice may be to choose individual supplements. For example, those who are anemic may get guidance from their doctor to take iron daily. Or, people who aren't getting enough vitamin D may need supplements to address related health concerns.
When you know what nutrient deficiencies you experience, getting a multivitamin may provide less potent results. With individual supplements, you can get the precise dosage your doctor recommends. Generally, you can still take a multivitamin to ensure you have the nutrients to stay healthy. But it's wiser to get individual supplements to target the unique health concerns you face.
As always, consult your doctor for guidance. They can recommend vitamins or multivitamins that will benefit you.

Real Skincare Guide
Tumblr media
Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring
Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.
Wear sunscreen everyday!!!
Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.
Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)
Get consistent sleep
Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)
Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)
Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.
Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring
All the stuff for Level 1 apply.
Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.
If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.
Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.
Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.
Try to sleep on your back.
If you pop a pimple than apply an antibiotic ointment.
No point in using anti-aging products if you are under the age of 25. It just won’t do anything for you.
Note that if you take in a lot of nicotine you will breakout. If you smoke and you have bad skin, it probably won’t improve unless you quit or lessen the dosage.
Level 3: painful consistent breakouts/acne/scars, redness, irritability, hurts,
Go see a dermatologist!
Acne is can be a real problem. If your acne is painful seek professional help.
If Accutane is recommended, than I would do it. Based only on the experiences of my friends, I have seen great results after a couple months. There are side effects and it is not for everyone but if a professional says you should than I might consider it.
No topical treatment is going to make those scars go away. You are going to need to laser resurfacing which is like this secret treatment rich people do to clear up their skin. It is expensive but really works. Beauty brands want you to think that the right cream can clear up your skin but if you have bad scarring you are only going to see real results with laser treatments
All of the above recommendations still apply
Your acne does not take away from your beauty or your worth as a human being. Remember that acne is normal and social media is fake.

alright i can breathe on my own again so back into this thought. here's a few ways all the elements work in healing in my brain*
Quintessence healing does a lot with the electrical impulses of the body; most of their work is possible due to their unique abilities to alleviate pain: neurological pains, including migraines. bone setting. internal, external, and extensive injury. sleep, dream, and memory. autoimmune disease. surgery. seizure disorders. acute pain. dentistry. general medical practice
Water healing is the most versatile, as the majority of organic material is driven by water: dermatology. uncontrolled/high fever. hyperthermia. burns. blood and blood pressure. sinuses. cartilage and collagen disorders. fainting disorders. chronic pain. vision disorders. scarring/scar healing/prevention
Fire healing deals a lot with pressure and relaxation: wound cautery. viral and bacterial illness (will start a fever or keep one in check - out of control fevers visit water). hypothermia. heat therapy: massage, hot baths, etc. physical therapy. arthritic/joint disorders, chronic pain
Air healing focuses mostly on areas of the body where oxygen or air pockets are at play: lung and breathing disorders. sinuses. learning, speech and communication, hearing. muscle pains. anxiety. fatigue and chronic fatigue
Earth healing works in grounding, and is also very diverse: mental health. psychiatrics and emotions. reproductive health. labor and delivery. balance and some fainting disorders. occupational therapy. creation of pharmacy products: tinctures, salves, ointments, orals, drops, etc.; creation of splints, casts, and assistive devices
Multi ghouls are cool in that, if they feel the call towards healing, they can lean on any element and pick up skills quickly and easily, depending on their unique makeup. Most assist in general practice medicine, but often blend powers from other elements together to create unique solutions for their patients
*please note no one ever needs be 'fixed,' and having any type of disorder or disability does not make anyone less, especially in the eyes of the abbey. the ghouls of the infirmary seek to help improve quality of life by easing symptoms for those that request it. there is nothing but love and respect for all residents and visitors of the infirmary 🤍

Women vs. Anti-Aging: Who Will Claim Victory?
As women, the search for eternal youth can feel like a never-ending battle against time. The anti-aging path can be difficult at times, from navigating the maze of skincare products to dealing with societal pressures and internalized expectations. The constant bombardment of advertising offering miracles in a jar exacerbates the confusion, leaving many of us feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
Women vs. Anti-aging: Never ending story
In the never-ending war against aging, people in their twenties frequently believe they are indestructible, with limitless potential and a bright future ahead. They remember their youthful energy and passion as 26-year-olds.
It's important to remember that collagen naturally declines after the age of 25, which is a reality of life rather than an accident that requires intervention. Just like periods, aging is a normal process. These changes are not evidence of health problems, but rather typical aspects of life's journey. Aging is unavoidable, and one's body changes as time passes.
How can we fight against anti-aging?
To be honest, there is no clear solution to this question. We cannot change the reality that people grow older and aging occurs. However, there is one thing we can do to keep our skin looking beautiful and healthy, which will help you look several years younger.
Maintaining healthy facial skin is key! Here are some suggestion for you:
Change your daily routine:
Prioritize sleep: Adequate rest, at least 7 hours a night, facilitates skin repair, staving off wrinkles.
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep skin supple and glowing.
Stress management: Find outlets to reduce stress, preventing the onset of fine lines.
Moderate alcohol intake: Limit alcohol consumption to avoid dehydrating the skin.
Select the right beauty regimen: Choose products tailored to your skin type and concerns, such as sunscreen, hydrating masks, and specialized creams.
Simplify your skincare routine: When it comes to skincare, less can often be more. Applying multiple products can overwhelm your skin and lead to unnecessary irritation. That's why it's essential to streamline your routine by focusing on just 1 to 2 products that offer maximum efficiency.
Understanding the problems that many women are facing, such as the desire for simplicity and effectiveness in their skincare routines, Luminea has developed a innovative solution:
Unlocking Radiance: By targeting melanin pigment, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream reveals a brighter, more luminous complexion with just a few applications. Its immediate effects upon use ensure instant radiance, providing you with the confidence to face the day.
Multi-Functional Protection: Beyond its whitening benefits, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream doubles as a moisturizer, effectively concealing blemishes and imperfections. Additionally, it serves as both sunscreen and makeup base, offering comprehensive protection against the sun's harmful rays. With its resistance to sweat, dirt, and summer heat, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream is your all-in-one solution for year-round skincare.
Gentle and Versatile: Crafted with natural ingredients, Luminea Premium Whitening Cream is gentle on the skin, making it suitable for all skin types. Its non-allergenic formula ensures that even the most sensitive skin can benefit from its transformative effects.
Elevate Your Skincare Routine: Simplify your regimen with Luminea Premium Whitening Cream—a versatile solution that not only enhances your skin's radiance but also simplifies your daily routine for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
It's time to shift the narrative surrounding anti-aging and empower women to embrace the beauty of every stage of life. Let's challenge societal norms, debunk myths, and support each other on this journey towards self-acceptance and confidence. Whether it's through sharing our own experiences, advocating for inclusive representation in media, or exploring innovative skincare solutions, every action we take brings us one step closer to redefining aging on our own terms. Join us in celebrating the diversity and resilience of women everywhere as we embrace the true essence of beauty—ageless, timeless, and uniquely our own.

Need Advice
Looking for two different cremes:
-One for little wrinkles/bags under eyes (I'd sleep more if I could but baby🤷‍♀️)
-One for loose skin. (I've worked out the whole time I've lost weight ((100 lbs down)), but again had a baby and the skin just isn't bouncing back.)
I currently drink about 80-120oz of water a way for hydration, I take multi-collagen supplement and vitamins daily, so thats covered but any other thoughts or advice would be awesome. Thank you<3

Hi guys!
Today I wanted to chat about my favourite drugstore foundation! Recently I've been wearing a lot of high end foundations but I decided to have a browse online and see what new makeup releases are out. On Revolution.com I noticed they had finally launched their Skin Silk Foundation , £10.99!
I was lucky enough to receive samples of this foundation back in the beginning of February and really loved it so of course I had to pick up a proper version now. When it comes to affordable foundations I am a massive fan of Makeup Revolution because their foundation formulas really remind me of high end products and yet they have a very affordable price tag.
If you haven't seen this foundation before it is Revolution's first ever serum foundation which brings skincare and makeup into one product. This foundation is a light to buildable formula, giving you a skin like, radiant finish. Personally I love that the foundation has a blurring effect and has a satin finish because I love a glow but like within reason. It is also made with peptides to boost collagen and work to firm, brighten and hydrate the skin. Personally I love a multi purpose product especially when it's a foundation that treats your skin whilst you use it.
If you are looking for an affordable foundation to add to your collection and prefer a more natural makeup look, this foundation could be perfect for you. As always all products mentioned are linked above. Don't forget to use code LUCE20 to get 20% off full priced items.
Lot's of love

Axolotl
There are many things we didn't expect when we entered the galactic stage.
Most species breathing the same atmospheric cocktails but for different gasses was a shocker (this species needs 70% Nitrogen, that one requiring the specific combination of trace elements, etc. Most were Oxygen, but either way the chemists, biologists, and theologians had a field day). A similar reaction was had to all species requiring similar food products, such that there were several foods literally all species could eat (except members with allergies, but what can you do?).
In general the shocks could be summed up as: Sci-fi where all galactic members could live on the same ships/planets with minimal adjustment was 100% feasible,
But on the other hand those were... expected. (If a surprise can be expected)
What we didn't expect was for Humanity to have been there for over 500 000 years.
The other thing we didn't expect was that there name for us was Axolotl.
First we achieved FTL, then we achieved world peace (ish). Look Freedom fighters fighting for their state/ province to be independent of the country that oppressed them for 100 years will continue to fight for freedom, despite countries no longer existing in any meaningful way. But what can you do?
Then first contact was made, a small delegation of Xeno/ Human experts came to earth, told us why they chose now to make contact, explained how the Galactic federation worked (policy of least interference on planets with some stipulations against codified speciesism and slavery, mainly governing inter planetary grievances and space station or ship laws), and invited us to join.
It was shockingly smooth and painless (we were later told that this had been done over 100 times and they study a planet's media and politics for at least 10 years to plan the ideal first contact).
We were happy and excited, and the universe was a wonder. But we noticed an odd, non reverence? that we were being treated with. Aliens would start to bow then stop themselves, begin to speak increadibly formaly and then correct themselves and return to jargon. None of which we saw occur between any other species.
We also saw some aliens that never interacted with us. They would be on ships, planets, stations, see us then run away, we never saw them on the council floor, but there was a throne that was conspicuously empty.
And from what we saw they were beautiful. The consensus on the net was that they were around 7 feet tall, had some kind of multi hued hide (there was no agreement if they were scales, increadibly fine fur, or anything else). Their faces were more similar to ours than any other species, they had the same number of joints and fingers. Finally, they had gossamer wings akin to that of a butterfly, that could fold flat against their bodies.
One man also claimed that he had seen one flying outside a station with no suit, but he was ridiculed.
Any search turned up nothing, and other Aliens dodged the question when it was asked.
It took 10 years for them to speak with us. And they shattered our world.
"We are Salamander, you are Axolotl, but the iodine once so prevalent on Earth has been extinct for over 400 000 years. Your aging process is not the ceasing of biological readiness, but the preparation for metamorphosis. Your skin hangs loose so that your skeleton system has room to grow. Bones soften so they can be rebuilt into a larger more elegant collagen structure. Your teeth fall out so new ones may grow. A long time ago, we went to the stars, millions of us. The process was faulty, and our computers were fried, with no way to find earth again. So we settled on a new planet, thrived and built the galactic federation. But we were always searching for our home. We found it several thousand years ago, and what we saw shocked us.
No sign of our civilization remained, there were no elders, just children, living to at most a fifth of a proper lifespan. and there were no Kencha fruits to extend your lives and make you whole.
Oh but the lives you lived!
The strength of Arm and Mind that once would have been spread across half a millennia condensed into a few short years!
So we left our poor grandchildren, as we would any species at that stage.
But now the Salamander can speak with the Axolotl.
Should you desire it, we have the Iodine."

Tissue engineering: Developing bioinspired multi-functional tendon-mimetic hydrogels
In a new report now published in Science Advances, Mingze Sun and a research team in physics, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering in Hong Kong China reported the development of multifunctional tendon-mimetic hydrogels by assembling aramid nanofiber composites.
The anisotropic composite hydrogels (ACH) contained stiff nanofibers and soft polyvinyl alcohol moieties to mimic biological interactions that typically occur between collagen fibers and proteoglycans in tendons. The team was bioinspired by natural tendons to develop hydrogels with a high elastic modulus, strength and fracture toughness.
The researchers biofunctionalized these material surfaces with bioactive molecules to present biophysical cues to impart behavioral similarities to those of cell attachment. Additionally, the soft bioelectronic components integrated on the hydrogels facilitated a variety of physiological benefits. Based on the outstanding functionality of the tendon-mimetics, the team envisioned broader applications of the materials in advanced tissue engineering to form implantable prosthetics for human-machine interactions.

My national newspaper recently released a bunch of articles about how supplementing is basically a scam, no matter if you're omni or vegetarian. There is a brief mention of B12 for vegans but other than that, they say it's a waste of money if you eat healthy.
I think this is stupid! I'm vegetarian and eat relatively healthy but will immediately notice symptoms if I don't supplement for at least B12, iron, vitamin D and magnesium/calcium. What do you think?
it's a half truth. most people are taking far too many supplements, or are taking multis where if they got a blood test, they'd see that they may only need to take one of two individual vitamins. i always recommend that people get a nutrient blood test to find out what they need to have more of, whether through dietary changes, or supplements. and that's not even getting into all the snake oil supplement pills for things like hair and nails, collagen capsules, SO MUCH FISH OIL, creatine, 'brain boosters' and SO MUCH MORE. supplements aren't covered under the food heath and safety acts of many countries, so there is no legal requirement to do any studies, or really regulate their contents at all. so, it's about digging out the fake shit from what's nutritionally necessary.
as for what you said, i think it's more of a reverse placebo effect for you. all of the nutrients you listed have stores in your body, you will not immediately become deficient if you stop taking supplements. in most cases, if you're healthy, it can take months or even years for your stores to completely deplete. but that doesn't mean not to take your supplements, keep taking them! i'm more just saying to not worry a bunch if you miss a couple days worth every now and again.
and yes, if people did eat healthy and varied, many people would NOT need supplements (apart from some women, because people always forget about women. many women of childbearing age should take calcium, especially if they are going to be childfree, and for women with heavy cycles, iron supplements are important, often you just simply cannot consume enough food to get enough iron needed to replace the blood you lose). but most people do NOT eat healthy because capitalism. they cannot afford healthy foods, they do not have time to cook healthy foods, they were raised on unhealthy foods and replicate their parents, they binge eat, they live in a food desert. many reasons. it's estimated that as many as 90% of people in the west have at least one deficiency. many people are overfed and malnourished. while the core solution is to make healthy foods easy and accessible to all, along with nutritional education, cooking classes, etc. in the meantime until we dismantle society as we know it, people need to stay healthy.
so, they're technically telling the truth, but in a half assed, deceptive manner.

Saving Face - Low Impact Face Lifts That Avoid Knives
Face it. Time and maturing make wear-and-tear lines, wrinkles, sun harm, sagging skin and rowdy knotty fat stores on what was your rigid and smooth skinned young face in your teenagers and 20s.
Indeed, you can "go radical"... turn around gravity's draw... what's more, submit to the surgeon's knife for an all out skin tightening and component modifying face lift. Be that as it may, fold and-lift procedures, in spite of the fact that conveying sensational and moment results, carry no little component of mental disquiet alongside vital wellbeing gambles with related to scarring, recuperating, infection, down time from work, to give some examples. Furthermore, virtually unspoken, is the fear "imagine a scenario where my surgeon commits an error... what's more, I could do without the way I look? What then, at that point?".
There's nobody basic solution, nor any dependable strategy that works uniformly on all ladies and men. However, the "buzz" in numerous discussions concerns the developing development of "virtual" face lift advances, treatments that you can go through which convey skin tightening results, yet avoid the surgeon's knife by and large!
Face Lift Choice #1: Cutting edge Laser Skin Tightening. Alright, laser is by all accounts springing up all over, from directing satellites to performing accuracy designing. However, the gradual sideways advance of laser from general a medical procedure into skin care has been a wonder in innovation development.
Offering refined adjustment for energy control, new laser-light face lift treatments, like the Titan treatment, carefully "heat up" the inside collagen tissue layers of the patient's skin... invigorating a bio-compound reaction that "tightens up" the skin. With the exception of a weak feeling of "warming up", the laser face lift is sans pain. Sun spots or surface lopsidedness or harsh dry skin are unaffected by laser.
A great many people need a few treatments, separated around multi month separated to reach a place where the most extreme face lift results are made. This multi-treatment methodology, which allows for the body to respond, then, at that point, settle, gives an advantage in that you can clearly control the gradual changes to your appearance, dissimilar to a careful face lift where "you're stuck" with anything that face the surgeon lifted. At $1,000 or more per meeting, laser face lifts like the Titan are not cheap.
