in my head, phil submitted these videos as his happy memories, because seeing dan filled with joy, acting silly while playing with cute animals, is one of his favourite things in the world... we got to see dan through phil's eyes (again). every time they share these moments with us, i feel like the luckiest person on earth.

This little fox has such matted fur the first time we see him 🥺😔 He's clearly been travelling for weeks, maybe even months, without a proper wash 💧

Now look at Sonic Movie 3:

Headcanons below the cut!

After the invasion, Mikey sustained permanent damage to his arms so they tremor all the time (worse under mystic strain). This means that Mikey does less fine art and more messy spray paint art instead as he can no longer do steady lines (hence his mask).

Started getting more spots! My chat fic (Too Many Turtles) takes place a year after the invasion for them and in that time he’s developed more spots on his face and arms.

The compression gloves were made by Donnie, and he usually has to wash them a lot due to paint stains. Otherwise he sticks stickers on them.

As mentioned in my chat fic, he suffers mystic overloads (no cure) in the form of seizures. Similar to seizures they can trigger more likely if he is under stress (physically or mentally) or if he over uses his mystic powers. Forcing himself to release all his power, rather than grow into it as you are supposed to, has caused irreversible damage as his body can’t cope with the strain and needs an outlet for when it builds up too much.

Mama O'Neil and Raph

I wasn't planning on posting again this week, and I might regret it next week butttt... I wanted to post anyways.

My 3rd piece of fanart for @happyfoxx-art's Aftermath AU Comic (using my Raph design but with the comic's injuries), I was so excited when the updates picked back up and am thrilled when I check Instagram and there's a new one. Raph needed the reassurance, they all do, and it's really heartwarming to see them get it.

saw small things like these and i’m thinking about POV as a decision… several comments i’ve seen were wishing for a greater focus on the atrocities within the magdalene laundries instead of some random guy’s outside perspective but—imo, the outsider perspective is a really good storytelling tool and positions the audience in a compelling way. in this case, it really effectively makes the audience ask what they would do in the same scenario, which you don’t get if the story shows only the trauma of these places seen from the inside.

the effectiveness of both novella and movie hinges on bill’s ability to recognize that something is deeply wrong even though he is only seeing glimpses of it and has to decide to act or not act based on that, a situation that far more of the audience is likely to find themselves in. you lose that if you discard his point of view

yk i brought omi at first bc i personally thought he'd be funny to take along to the headmaster's office after the polyjuice. i did not intend for my brain to turn the quest into one big bonding time (and foreshadowing). it's fun for me but it was coincidentally a great choice esp with Niamh talking abt what darkness is and its value despite what it is. It's all very foreboding.

Also, just to note. my ravenclaw run is a no dark arts run so Ominis does trust the mc rather implicitly on such matters is how i perceive this. she's vocal abt not wanting to learn it despite still wanting to help sebastian.

Nastasia's brainwashing taking someone's evil side and bringing it to the forefront? That's fine, sure...

... but what if it's not the evil part of you that gets amplified so much as it is a twisted version of who you desire to be?

Paper Luigi has shown signs of desperately chasing a sense of perfectly-earned pride. He wants to be a hero like his brother! He wants to do grand, daring deeds and inspire awe in everyone around him! As Mr. L? Wish granted! You're a completely self-absorbed jerk who doesn't need to so much as lift a finger before feeling like you're better than everyone else.

On the flip side, what about a Mario who wishes he could be a bit more emotionally vulnerable, or openly express his worries/frustrations, but feels like he can't without troubling those around him? But as Mr. M? Wish granted! Mr. M is nothing but a big bundle of emotional vulnerability who is consistently spewing his thoughts and feelings all over the place.

i really like the dichotomy of everyone respecting Nana as their friend off stage (and the darker feeling she has that they All take from her in one way or another except Karen) but inside the stage duels as performers with her as their ultimate test, they're all still prideful enough to treat it as every man's glory for themselves, making it so they can't hold a grudge against Nana outside the Revues because to everyone the Revues are Just Business and a space for words that don't belong outside it- which plays into the repression that's hurting all their relationships, they really thought of everything making this series
