Fandom Discussion/Poll: Should 'Mirabat' be adopted as the fandom name for MLB x DC?

While the original poll is not quite over, it had a solid majority of fandom goers either say maybe or yes. Thus, this is being asked a little earlier than a week later.

The general consensus, amongst conversation on Discord and in reblogs on Tumblr, is that "Mirabat" would be the name that fandom goers believe would work best. The biggest reasons being the following.

It keeps the spirit of the original name

It is not that different from what the fandom is used to

Preferred the sound of it over other options

As a last topic before the poll, let us briefly discuss the other options given for names.

MiraDC could be adapted as the subsection name for all pieces that do not fall under Maribat or Adribat ship wise

Miraculous DC would be an amazing addition to the tags used on Tumblr to cover more bases of what a newcomer to the fandom may search

Once again, it is up to the fandom to give their thoughts on switch. Reblogs and replies are always available to do so to understand other's opinions on it.

Reminder: "Maribat" is not being discontinued. It will still be used regardless of what the fandom chooses. It may simply shift to being the umbrella name for Marinette ships only versus all ships/pieces.

Everlasting Trio DPxDC Nobody Knows Au

I love nobody knows aus.

I love aus where danny flees to Gotham after a Bad Time with his parents.

So what if:

Sam moves to Gotham for college after graduation. Tucker has flown down from MIT over the semester break to spend the month with her. They've stayed very close knit.

They're having brunch at a small cafe maybe a week in, and suddenly Sam's hand darts across the table and grips his forearm so tight it hurts.

He startles and asks her what's wrong, but she doesn't answer. She's too busy staring across the room with a haunted look on her face. Tucker follows her gaze and goes cold and still with shock and disbelief.

They're both frozen because that? That looks like Danny.

Danny, their childhood best friend. Danny who came to their freshman year of high school a little different. Withdrawn.

Danny who kept pulling away and making excuses no matter how hard they tried to engage him, who looked more tired and ragged with every passing week.

Danny who disappeared without a trace shortly after he turned sixteen and who, though it largely went unspoken, they believed dead and gone forever.

"It's not," Tucker whispers weakly. "It can't be, right?"

The guy across the cafe is older than the kid they remember, of course. Around twenty, exactly how old they are. How old Danny should be. He's tall, tall like they and Jazz always assured Danny he would be once he hit a growth spurt and into his dad's genes.

His nails are painted and his ears are pierced and his hair is a little longer, but he sits in front of his papers and computer with eerily familiar bad posture and a pen tapping at his bottom lip like their Danny always did when he tried to focus.

He looks leagues healthier than their Danny did before he went missing.

He huffs a breath out of his nose and pokes his bottom lip out as he scowls at something on his screen, and before Tucker can even process the gut punch of such a familiar mannerism Sam is out of her chair and halfway across the cafe.

Tucker scrambles after her with half coherent protests.

He reaches the table as Sam slams herself down into the chair across from the doppelganger, the guy jerking in surprise and blinking up at his two unexpected guests with confusion and alarm.

Then, slowly, Tucker watches his face go pale and the confusion be replaced with dawning shock, recognition and something unreadable.

"Oh," Danny breathes.

Gothamites thinking that Bruce, Batman, Clark, and Superman are in a polyamorous relationship would be so funny bcs wdym Karen just saw the CEO of the Wayne Enterprises got carried bridal style by Superman in an alley and then they shared a long kiss? Isn't Superman in love with the Dark Knight?Because one time after helping Batman save the city, he held Bat's waist and their faces are so close, no gap was seen! But then also, last Monday, on a press conference, Bruce shamelessly flirted and attempted to sit on this reporter's lap, wait what's the reporters name? Isn't that reporter from Metropolis? But then also on live television, after saving the reporter, who Bruce Wayne flirted with, the reporter embraced and held the Dark Knight's face so close as if he was too afraid to lose the Bat! WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING?? ARE THEY IN A POLYAMOROUS RELATIONSHIP? ARE THEY CHEATING WITH ONE ANOTHER? WHAT TF IF HAPPENING? Each news tabloids every week are one hell of a ride.

I think YJ98 would go hard as one of those unserious high school superhero shows where the characters are always making godawful excuses to their friends and sneaking off to save the day, except all of them are superheroes and they just don't realise it, resulting in identity shenanigans that are actually wholly unecessary. Also the story follows Tim, who doesn't even operate in the daytime, but is left providing increasingly absurd alibis for his friends because he's the only one who's deduced their identities and he really needs to keep it that way before they all end up arrested and he has no one left to eat lunch with

Marinette: What? American baby, I should find your parent-

*Danny dragged her into the portal*

Damian: I am not your's child. However we should find your parents before my father decides to adopt you as well.

Danny: Mine.

Damian: I am not.

Peter: Hahahaha, yours kid. I'm guessing, just a guess, are you some kind of baby god or something. The portal you fell out of and my spidey senses kinda just goes off with you.

Peter: Ehe, yeah um is this common? You seem too relaxed for this.

Percy: Honestly, this is a vacation for me, on top of being able to visit my girlfriend from time without either of us worrying about time overlaps and monster attacks. I'm honest vibing, not sure about the bird tho.

Peter: There's a bird?! Like a whole bird or like a monster size bird????

Percy: ..... Ok I'm going to need to make orientation slides.

The Al Ghul Siblings

DP x DC x MLB x Marvel Prompt

Damian wasn't the only child of Bruce and Talia, but the youngest of 4.

 

Mariam, the Eldest daughter of Bruce and Talia, whose strategies could turn the tide of battles she is part of.

 

The twins, Danyal and Boutros (Peter in Arabic), Danyal, who was so good at stealth that he wouldn't let you know he was there until he wanted you to know, and Boutros, whose awareness was so sharp, that none could get the drop on him, both Twins Rival Ra's and Taila in these aspects.

 

Damian is the child that excels in combat out of the four, constantly trying to he like his older siblings.

 

Mariam had to leave the League, because of what Talia overheard the plans Ra's had for her daughter. She sent Mariam to Paris under a new name, Marinette. Where Marinette would be left with people Talia trusts.

 

The twins had a bit more tragic fate, Boutros was fatally wounded during a rebellion in the League, he was dipped in the Lazarus Pit, but never resurfaced.

 

Danyal was sent away by Talia to an orphanage, Damian wasn't told where though, but a few years later, Damian was brought to Bruce.

 

Mari was contacted by Danyal one day via a letter with a familiar symbol on it, they send each other letters from time to time, but can't reach out to Damian, fearing that they would be found by Ra's.

 

The events of Danny Phantom happened regularly, but with Danny becoming the Heir to the Throne for the Infinite Realms.

 

But when the Nasty Burger does explode, Danny doesn't go to Vlad, he runs away and goes to Paris to be with his other sister.

 

Mari became the holder of the Ladybug Miraculous, and told her foster parents about her being Ladybug a few days before Danny came to their place.

 

When Danny did arrive at the place, it was during a heavy storm, and Danny didn't have a coat, so he was standing in the heavy downpour, arms crossed and looking so sad and heartbroken.

 

After some explanations, and seeing Danny being able to resist the Akuma Hawkmoth sent to corrupt him, Danny is welcomed by Mari's foster parents to live with them.

 

A few weeks with Danny living in Paris, a green portal opens up in the living room with Danny and Mari in it, they are ready for a fight, but they see an older (but still the same age as Danny) Boutros stumble out of it wearing a spider themed hero suit, it's a tearful reunion, with a being in a purple robe smiling to himself elsewhere, where a family is soon to be reunited, and where an almost exact replica of Boutros would be placed back in the dimension he found himself in to prevent the timeline of that dimension from destabilizing.

 

The twins and the Eldest Daughter worked together with Cat Noir and other Miraculous holders to take down Hawk Moth in a few days. The Trio of siblings decided that they will take a risk, they head to Gotham to reconnect with Damian

Bruce: I thought we were past the whole blood-

Damian: Dupain-Cheng has two parents back in Paris, France; I assure you, Father. Stop trying to adopt her into your hoard. The manor is cramped enough

Bruce:*looks at Marinette

Bruce: You're...not...my child?

Marinette: Euh.....no?

Bruce: But you called me Dad

Marinette: you asked me to

Bruce: I thought you were my child!

Marinette: I feel like that says more about you than it does me
