Lords of Gondolin Baking With You For The Holidays
Tumblr media
Requests: May I request a baking with the Lords of gondolin for the festive season, sounds both fun and chaotic. Would there be anything to eat other then a mouthful of flour you threw at each other? Probably not. Unless you feel like eating cinnamon goop and crunchy burnt cookies. – anon
A/N: I really enjoyed writing this request, especially with Christmas approaching and the baking season in the air. Thanks for this request anon. Enjoy!

Tumblr media
Galdor
◇ He’s just too good when it comes to averaging ingredients, though he often got distracted by your playful antics each time you tried to eat the ingredients or break his concentration as he poured the vanilla syrup or honey. “Are you trying to sabotage my cookies?” he’ll whine when you throw flour at him.
◇ Might realise too late that you’re missing one of the ingredients—powdered sugar—and have to make a quick rush to the market. This unfortunately turns into a shopping spree where you two would return with extra ingredients.
◇ You’re the one to start a fight while Galdor is attempting to maintain the peace and his station clean, so your extra flour and eggs don’t end up in his bowl of cake batter. At some point, he got dragged into your ruffian behaviour and ended up covered in flour.
◇ Despite being the one making the cake and cookies, his knack for ‘quality control’ resulted in him tasting the batter/dough too often.
◇ When the first batch did come out of the oven, it was burnt which left you questioning all of Galdor’s ‘phenomenal’ cooking abilities he was renowned for. “I thought you were a great chef?” “I am, but when I have a little mouse in the kitchen, what else to expect?”
◇ Offended. At least there were a few cookies saved from the extra crispiness and the cake was decent to still enjoy your day’s labour.
Tumblr media
Ecthelion
◇ He takes baking for the holidays the same as any military operation—detailed with a precise layout, and no straying from the outline. You will be gently scolded each time you attempt to do your own thing. Like measuring without measuring cups and spoon. He doesn’t do the whole ‘pour until your ancestors tell you to stop.’
◇ But Thel being Thel, still couldn’t resist breaking his own rules when the chocolate chip cookie dough was looking delicious and sticking his fingers to scoop a dollop. “Just checking to make sure they’re not poisoned.” As he shoves a spoonful in his mouth.
◇ You somehow managed to end up with too much dough? despite the way he was eating the dough each time you turned your back. He decided that you should share it, leading to an impromptu cookie giveaway.
◇ Spends a good portion of the evening walking through the streets of Gondolin handing cookies on trays to the citizens and his servants. Even Turgon is happy to receive his batch of cookies for the holidays.
◇ When it came to decorating, he took pride in it, the same way he takes pride in his appearance. He is in charge of the designs and hands out a sheet of paper filled with patterns for you to follow. Do not diverge from the original patterns, you’re ruining the aesthetic.
◇ At least in the end, you had the perfect batch of cookies to sit by the fireplace and eat with a nice glass of milk.
Tumblr media
Glorfindel
◇ You’re never getting anything done on time, and surely your cake or cookies will be burnt because of his distractions. Which leads to you making a fresh batch and shooing him out the kitchen. He comes right back after sneaking in.
◇ Eats the dough like it’s food and gets all puzzled when you scold him for reducing the volume. “Laurë! We’ll have none by the time you’re finished! And you’ll get sick if you continue to eat the raw dough!”
◇ With a mouth full of dough, he looked hurt that you would deny him the right to taste-test the desserts to ensure the quality was up to his standards. “I just wanted to taste the cookies. Don’t have to be so mean.” Guilt trips you into letting him eat more.
◇ You obviously end up with less dough and Laurë earns himself a tummy ache from how much dough he ate raw. Some dough had less of certain ingredients while others had too much because he pulled you to dance in the middle of measuring, so you forgot and mismanaged.
◇ You end up with cookies that were undercooked, overcooked and er…not cookies? Still, it didn’t bother him because he was willing to enjoy the hard labour of your fantastic baking.
◇ “Baking is an art, and although it may not appear the way we intended, there is merit and beauty in the outcome.” He would cheer as he plopped a cookie into his mouth while you stood there with an exasperated look. Like he was the reason for the cookies being that way.
Tumblr media
Egalmoth
◇ He wants to make gingerbread houses, cinnamon rolls, a ton of cookies and cake and roast turkey or chicken all on the same day at the same time. He’s elaborate about the activity if you haven’t caught on.
◇ When it comes to designing, he’s in charge and has everything in order, down to how to position the desserts and food on the table. Perfectionist, often redoing the steps to get them right. “Patience is key, darling,” he reminds you and boops your nose with frosting.
◇ Despite his meticulous nature, he loves a good laugh when things don’t go right. The image in his head wasn’t aligning with the image displayed after piping frosting on the cake to resemble the Christmas tree you drew on the paper.
◇ Mentions something about your artistry skills when it comes to drawing needs to be worked on so he could have a better understanding of what he was working with. That was enough for you to dump flour on his head.
◇ Did not take his clothes and hair becoming a mess because he put a lot of effort into appearing splendid to bake alongside you. So, if he had to look like a mess, so did you. “You look cute with all that flour and eggs—I might bake you instead to eat.”
◇ By the time you two were finished, the way you two were a mess, might as well hop into the oven to bake. More ingredients were wasted than used, and you found yourself eating the remaining frosting and dough off your hand.
Tumblr media
Rog
◇ Rog’s all about efficiency, turning your baking session into a well-oiled machine. For him, it feels as though he’s back in the forges, about to craft an art piece with meticulous create and precision.
◇ You ought to expect his knack for improvising, often adding unexpected ingredients into the mix with confidence. “Trust me, mírë. It will taste great.” As he throws in peppermint, nuts and extra vanilla.
◇ Between the two of you, you’re the one who steals dough from the bowl when he isn’t looking or bribes him with kisses to have extra cookies. So easily he falls for your charm because he can never say no with those puppy eyes.
◇ Somewhere in the mix, the oven malfunctioned, which was no strenuous task for Rog to fix. You got to stand by and hand him his tools while watching his muscles flex and look like something to take a bite out of.
◇ With his skills and confidence, you two will end up with a variety of cookies, some traditional, others experimental. “A little bit of everything makes the holidays nice.”
◇ You two made just enough cookies to eat and also share with his fellow Lords and craftsmen he works within the forges. He left the wrapping and little notes for you since he prefers your handwriting suitable for the holidays.
Tumblr media
Maeglin
◇ He was surprisingly enthusiastic about baking, eager to try new recipes with you and make new memories. The entire time, he would stand close by as he listened to your instructions and your patient voice as you guided him on how to mix or measure.
◇ Did have a tendency to get lost in the process, forgetting to remember the baking or resting period, so you might get burnt cookies and overrisen bread. Can’t blame him, you’re in the kitchen, an obvious distraction.
◇ He compares his crafting to baking cookies and wonders how could something so simple be difficult as he held up a burnt cookie that didn’t match the snowflake stencil.
◇ Discovered that you should leave the decorating to him when you explained piping the frosting on the cake and icing on the cookies. Even the gingerbread house was a masterpiece after leaving it in his hands. He designed an entire castle.
◇ When you happen to run out of frosting and icing, or the edible beads, he suggests a trip to the pastry shop for more items which results in Maeglin growing excited at the assortment of decorations and requests to buy out the entire shop.
◇ By the end, most of your desserts are more decorations than cake and cookies to eat. The layers you might have to bite through before you taste the pastry is immaculate. At least he had fun participating.

Feanorians: Being Their Soulmate...
Tumblr media
Different soulmate troupes with the Feanorians.
Requested by Anon
Hi animatorweirdo!
Can I send in a request for different soulmate tropes for the Feanorians and when they find their soulmate? (for example, tropes like the red-string of fate, timer countdown, having a tattoo that symbolizes them on your body, etc).
Thank you so much and I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
(Author note: I didn't do Curufin and the twins as I could not come up with anything with them. )
Warnings: mentions of the book events, mentions of Maedhros's captivity, loss of a hand, separation, reluctance, the oath, doom, and rejection.
--------------------------------------------------------
Maedhros —  Tattoo
- Maedhros would have a small tattoo on the back of his right hand, right below his thumb and index finger. He would have been confused the first time it appeared, but then he would be excited when his parents or someone else told him it was the mark of his soulmate.
- He had been given a tattoo that represented his soulmate. His soulmate would bear a tattoo on the same spot that represented him and he would know once he had seen them.
- Growing up in Valinor he would check people’s hands to see if they had a tattoo on the same spot as him.
- If you two met in Valinor, he would find a small star on the back of your right hand below your thumb and index.
- He would be delighted to have finally found you, and most likely would have not hesitated to get to know you and start a relationship with you. His family would be happy for him.
- However, if you two met in Middle Earth. His feelings about finding his soulmate would be much more complicated.
- For example, the great enemy mocking the mark of his soulmate and threatening to find them would have left him reluctant to ever find his soulmate. Losing his right hand would have solidified his decision.
- He would stare at his missing hand from time to time, remembering the mark of his soulmate. He would hope his soulmate would never find him as his reputation would certainly tarnish theirs.
- If you two did manage to meet, he would feel strange pulling toward you. If you two clicked very well, he would mistake it for simple crushing or fondness. However, that would not be the case when he sees the star on your right hand.
- Realizing you were his soulmate would cause him to distance himself away from you, startled and anxious to realize you were his one. He would then make a hard decision, to either give himself this chance to feel your love or push you away and possibly save you from the doom that followed him.
- If he decided to embrace the fact and allow himself to be selfish just once, Maedhros would not reveal you were soulmates but enjoy your company. He would have decided to enjoy it while it lasted because relationships would not last during wars. His feelings for you would have grown but he would have kept it as a good friendship, and it would have hurt less when you two had to separate.
- If he decided to distance himself and cut ties with you, his soul would ache for your presence and he would feel miserable for causing you to feel sad and confused by his sudden distance. He would have most likely been harsh and explained that you two couldn’t talk to each other, growing the drift between you.
- Making you leave would be the hardest decision he had ever made. However, it would ease his soul to know you would not be doomed by him and his oath.
- If there was a chance Eru took pity on you, he would either allow you to meet again in better circumstances or let you have someone else for a soulmate.
Maglor — Red string of fate
- (Because I think Maglor would love tragic love stories, the red string of fate would be fitting for him.)
- Maglor would be blooming with excitement when one day he saw a red string attached to his finger. He would have read all about the red string of fate and would have most likely been eager to go on an adventure to find his soulmate, the red string being his guide. Unfortunately, he was too young to go on his own.
- Growing up, he would occasionally check on the red string to see if his soulmate was nearby as the red string would extend or become more clear when his soulmate was near.
- If you two met on Valinor, it would have happened during a party or one of his performances. He would be surprised to see the red string suddenly become visible and lead his eyes upon you. However, it would not have been an unwelcome surprise and he would have jumped on the first chance to talk with you.
- His search would finally be over after meeting you and his family would have to suffer his constant serenading of finding his soulmate.
- However, if you met on Middle Earth, his feelings would be slightly reluctant, but not opposed to it.
- After the whole kin slaying and burning of the boats, he would have wished he would not find his soulmate. The red string went more distant, but he would be surprised to find the red string showing itself more one day.
- He would be curious to find them and one day when he met you, he would feel happy.
- He would be more open about revealing being his soulmate and having a relationship with you. However, since he and his kin were at war with Morgoth, the relationship would have to be kept as a secret.
- However, if he decided you two would be better off without each other. He would send you away with good wishes and hopes that fate would allow you to meet again, and thus ends the tragic love story.

Celegorm — Dreams/Led by your pets
- As a hunter, I think Celegorm would have a prophetic dream about an animal that would lead him to his soulmate.
- In his dreams, he would see an animal he is meant to find and follow to find his soulmate. He is a free spirit so he might find the dreams and the thought of having a soulmate slightly annoying.
- However, if he came to meet with the said animal from his dreams he would not be opposed to following it and seeing what would happen. And when that happens, Huan would go missing and ignore his calls.
- He would then find you with the animal and Huan who had led you to him. Perhaps that time, he would be more open and excited when he locked his eyes with you, especially if you two met in the woods of Valinor and the animal turned out to be your companion.
- However, if you met in Middle Earth, I do not think Celegorm would not hesitate to have a relationship with you. If you both were hunters I think the relationship would go pretty smoothly.
- But, if the oath comes between you, Celegorm might let you go in order for you to be safe from danger, or if you do not agree, and that he made it clear he would not give up the oath even for you.
- Separation from you might cause him to become slightly more violent, but the thought of you being somewhere safe might ease it just a bit.
Caranthir — Timer
 - A timer would suit Caranthir.
- He would have been very confused when one day he found a clock drawn on his hand and it would not go away no matter how much he washed.
- It would take both his parents to explain he had received a soulmate clock, which tells how long it would take to meet his soulmate: the more hours and minutes the farther away and the less how close his soulmate is.
- The idea would not wrap around his head for a while, especially if the clock showed several hours, which only meant his soulmate was nowhere near.
- He would be thrilled to find out when his clock reveals fewer minutes and would look around in curiosity till he found you.
- I think he would be slightly shy, but would not avoid you. If you two click and you show your timer, then it would be the start of a beautiful relationship.
- However, if you two met on Middle Earth, he would be skeptical about having a relationship with you.
- Seeing there was no hope after his reputation as a kin slayer and war with Morgoth, he saw it would be best not to seek out his soulmate.
- So, imagine the shock he would feel when he finds his timer running toward the end and eventually finding you.
- In some parts of his soul he would have been thrilled, but due to his unfortunate circumstances, he might avoid revealing about being your soulmate. However, due to the tugging in his soul, he might make a friendly relationship with you.
- He would feel ease from his anger, and it would slightly hurt him to know he might have to separate from you.
- He would enjoy it while it lasted, before sending you off with heartfelt goodbyes.
Celebrimbor — A strand of hair
- Celebrimbor would be surprised to find a strand of his hair had turned into a different color, but would be delighted when he learned it was the clue of his soulmate and that his soulmate would have a strand of his hair color.
- He would not mind walking around with the new color and sometimes styling it while searching for the one who had his hair color.
- If you two met on Valinor, it would be joyful.
- However, if you two met on Middle Earth, his feelings on the matter would have died down.
- But when he suddenly meets you one day and sees the dark strand of hair across your hair. He became frightened as he could feel tugging from within his very soul.
- He should feel happy by his kin’s standards. He had been blessed by chance to meet his soulmate, but his past and the reputation of his house had left him reluctant. He had hidden the color of your hair in hopes he might not accidentally meet you or anyone who might figure out who his soulmate is. In his mind, you were not worthy to get tarnished by his house’s past, but fate, of course, has worked against him.
- However, if you were not intimidated by his past, Celebrimbor’s fear might vanish and he might entertain the idea of getting to know you. It would take a lot of time to convince himself to finally reveal your hair color on his hair, and wait for your reaction as your hair colors would match and return to normal.
- If you were happy by the reveal, Celebrimbor might then be confident enough to have a relationship with you. However, he would let you go if you weren't eager by the reveal and decided to leave. He would not blame you, but he would feel a painful aching for your presence and heartache for your rejection.

[ YOUR HEART ] sweet and doting, your generosity is charming ── they've seen you give others extra portions of food when you think nobody is watching, given up your blankets despite shivering yourself: it makes them a little flustered to see how much you care for others ( if only you'd dote on them too ).

I would love to dance and sing with him!
Genre: fluff
Warnings: none! Just a cute fic
Summary: Dancing around the campfire with Bofur.
Paring: Bofur x reader
Dance the night away
Tumblr media
Pov. (Y/n)
The company stopped in the middle of the forest. The fire was lit. Bombur was cooking some stew. Everyone talked lively with smiles on their faces.
Today was a happy day. I didn't know why. It just felt like it. Maybe because we didn't get attacked today, or maybe the weather was nice? I had no idea.
I was sitting next to Dori, talking with him and laughing, while we waited for our supper. Bombur stirred the stew, and he tapped the spoon on the pot two times. I heard someone clap and tap their foot. I knew a song was coming.
Bofur stood up and started singing. Everyone stopped talking and looked at him. The smiles creeped on every person from the company. Some of the dwarves joined Bofur. He spun around the fire, singing a happy song. I laughed at a sweet moment, but then the singer stopped before me and pulled his hand out for me. He had this silly smile of his on his face.
- Ye mind dancin' with me?
He said with his thick accent, and I placed my hand in his. He pulled me up on my feet.
- No. Not at all.
I said and smiled. He spun me around, singing and laughing. We jumped from foot to foot, waving our hands. Now everyone was having fun.
When the song finished, Bombur stood up and poured the stew into our bowls. We all sat down and started eating in silence, but with smiles. The talks started after a while again.
Bofur was looking at me from across the fire. When I caught him staring, he looked away, blushing and focusing back on his supper.
After eating, the talks started growing again.
- Bofur! Sing us something again!
Ori said, and Nori nodded, hitting his thigh.
- Aye! Go on, lad!
Dwalin said, and Bofur laughed, leaning on his knee and standing up. He cleared his throat and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He started singing and opened his eyes. Everyone looked at him and bounced in their seat, humming the tune. This time Fíli stood up and walked up to me, pulling his hand out. I grabbed it, and he helped me get up.
He spun me around and put his hand on my back while dancing. Then I felt a strong grip on my waist, and someone pulled me their way. I lost my balance and landed on their chest. I looked up and saw Bofur giving Fíli a death stare, but still singing.
I looked around and saw that no one paid attention to us. They just enjoyed themselves while singing, laughing, and dancing once again. Fíli walked away with a chucke and wink to Bofur. He blushed and looked down at me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he put his on my hips.
- Don't be jealous, Bof..
I whispered in his ear, and he shivered. He squeezed my hips and pulled me closer, if that was even possible. Other folks sang their hearts out, minding their own business. I put one of my hands behind his head and gently leaned in. I pecked his lips and gently pulled away, looking into his eyes.
- I'm only yours..
I whispered with a smirk. His cheeks dark red and eyes wide. It took him a second to process what happened. Then he passionately leaned in and kissed me hungrily, but softly. I kissed him back. His moustache lightly tickled me, and I laughed, pulling away. I looked at him with love and a warm smile. He smirked and quickly lifted me up in his arms.
- BOFUR!!
I shouted, putting my arms around his neck to secure myself from eventual fall. Everyone around the fire now looked at us. Bofur was laughing and spinning me around, joining others in singing again.
The night went on and on. Everyone got tired after a while, so we stopped dancing and singing, but the talks were still heard.
I was sitting next to Bofur, leaning on his shoulder. He had his arm wrapped around my waist. I tried to focus on the conversation between the dwarves, but it was hard, because of a warm body pressed to mine and exhaustion taking over me. I yawned, and Bofur looked down at me.
- Ye tired?
He asked with a smile. I nodded, and he wrapped his arms around me, lifting me up. He excused himself and walked to our bedrolls. He gently put me down, and I lay down. He kneeled next to me and wrapped a blanket around my body.
- Wait her'..
He said and slowly stood up. He walked up to his bedroll, took it, and walked back to me. He put it beside mine and lowered himself. He put his blanket over himself, but enough to cover us both.
When he lay down, I immediately hugged him tightly and nuzzled my face into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me tightly and kissed the top of my head.
- Goodnight, Bof..
I whispered, running my hands up to his neck. He kissed my head again.
- Goodnight, princess..
He whispered back, and we fell asleep, secured in each other's arms.

Hello!
I hope your feeling better, I myself have been feeling like crap lately so you have my sympathies.
I saw your post on glorfindel and was wondering if you'd be happy with more tolkien requests, though I definitely love your castlevania works!
That being said, may I request a glorfindel and a human lady reader?
Thank you for sending! And yes, welcoming Tolkien requests.
I redid an older Glorfindel scene for this... wanted to 'revive' it instead of letting it sit in my drafts. Might follow up with something NSFW, not sure?
General note: also working on the older asks, it's taking forever

Forlond, Lindon, late Second Age
“Laurefindil, Laurefindil!”
He turns from his musing at the sound of his name, his eyes torn from the swaying waves. The day has given way to dusk, and it’s been one of clear skies and mild winds. He breathes the salty breeze, his chest filling with the rush and flow come from the sea depths.
You’re breathless when you reach his side, taking him by the arm. “Look, look a whale! Do you see it? Look there, to the East!”
Glorfindel watches you for a moment, smiling at the sight of your sparkling eyes. He follows your pointing finger. Indeed he sees the tip of a tail splashing silver foam away in the far distance, just where the Gulf of Lune flows into the sea. “I do see it… well done,” he glances back at you.
Your hair is loose, your dress wet, the sheer material clinging to your thighs and legs after a spree in the shallow waters kissing the shore. Glorfindel himself is unshod, his plain grey tunic reaching his knees, his trousers rolled up to his calves.
“Well done indeed, and I win, my lord,” you tease, a finger pointing at his chest. “And you know the wager. Tonight, you dance.” His frown makes you chuckle.
“I most certainly will not.”
You cross your arms. “That was the wager. You took it. I said that I saw them, and you asked me to prove it. I did. Or does Lord Laurefindil only keep his word when it suits?” For a long time, you’d taken to calling him by his Quenya name, knowing it gladdens him to hear it. “No, you promised. Imagine the look on their faces!”
The Elf shakes his head. “You’re being childish.”
Whatever else he may have uttered, it is lost with the way you barrel into him, and even Glorfindel loses his balance with the swiftness of your movements. The sand is warm beneath him, but it’s also in his mouth and ears. Your face hovers into view, framed by salty locks, eyes now twinkling mirthfully above him. “Rise and let me up, or you go unaccompanied to your dancing tonight.” He tries to sound demanding, but somehow, in the short years he’s known you, you’d come to see through most of his devices.
A half-smile graces your lips, your arms propped on his shoulders. “Make me.”
He could never stay upset with you for long, pretend or not. His hands slip along your thighs, up your hips, settling there. He closes his eyes at the warmth of your mouth, trailing along his chin, to his lips. His grip tightens on your hips.
And then he’s fast on his feet, even with you struggling and laughing in his arms.
“Put me down, you cannot! Put me down! Laurefindil! You will regret this!”
Still smiling he carries you, futile resistance and all, to the shore. Glorfindel advances into the lazy waves, painted gold and green in the sunset.  “No,” he takes your chin between his fingers. “You will.” And he drops you.
You gasp when cold water douses your sun-warmed skin, thrashing to be free of him. Anyone passing would stand perplexed at the sight of a famed Balrog slayer jestingly dunking the head of a young maiden beneath the sea while she grapples and tugs at his clothing like a writhing handmaiden of Uinen. Your laughter glitters along the shore, lost in the faraway winds.

Tradition - Caranthir x Reader (Pt. 1)
The fourth son of Fëanor, more often than not, retired early on the Day of the Lamps, and didn't even stay to watch the lanterns set out. Caranthir never cared much for the holidays. You, on the other hand, have missed celebrating dearly since you left your home in Alqualondë, and that might just be enough to change Caranthir's mind.
Caranthir at first couldn’t say whether he was glad or dismayed when he found out your visit to Tirion from Alqualonde was going to be permanent. You were not staying a great distance away from the Fëanorion estate, after all, and he wasn’t sure how having an outsider such as yourself so close to his family would turn out. His parents weren’t known to warm so easily to someone. To his surprise, they were both taken with quickly. Nerdanel had taken an instant liking to you - almost as if you were a daughter that she never had. To everyone’s surprise, Fëanor himself had as well - the temperamental, standoffish crown prince of the Noldor had, in fact, warmed up to the Telerin visitor. Caranthir had to admit, he had more than taken a liking to you, too. The faeish beauty you sported was undeniable, what with your flowing gowns and buoyant smile and starry eyes. Your kind nature only amplified it. It would be a lie to say that Caranthir Fëanorion hadn’t been smitten with you upon your very first meeting.
This reached far beyond your very first meeting, of course. In fact, the more time you spent around the Feanorian estate, the stronger his feelings grew.
Nerdanel was the first to notice. Yule-tide gifts from her sons had been few and far between, coming only from her eldest two and her very youngest, who was so thoughtful as to write his twin’s name on the wrapping paper and tell his mother that it was from them both; she was not so naive. Gifts from Caranthir were unheard of; and had Nerdanel not had her harsh bringing up in the house of Mahtan and her marriage to Fëanor to callous her from disquiet over who smiles at who and the likes she would have been hurt, what that her beloved freckled-faced son was giving gifts to someone but not to her, his mother. She pried as subtly as she could, and though Caranthir seemed to have caught on to her intentions after the fourth, ‘That gift must be for someone very important,’ she had already had an inkling for what was going on.
The rest of the family followed soon after, and Caranthir finally came to terms with it after the incessant teasing of his brothers. Not to mention, he had a sneaky suspicion that Maglor had told everyone about it when he finally admitted it to the minstrel. They would have known anyways - with his yearning expressions and whatnot. It was quite obvious that Caranthir deliberately went out of his way to see you. His want was apparent. He might as well have written it on his forehead.
One could even go so far as to say Caranthir loved you.
It was something he begrudged, and the unbearable bitter-sweet yearning for you only grew stronger with each click his boots made against the stone floor on the way to his brother's room. He knew you cared for him, that much was evident. You were kind, and carried yourself with charm and poise, but there was something about the prominent blush that plastered your cheeks that told Caranthir there was something else hidden behind the veil of your dreamy eyes - something warmly inviting yet utterly untouchable. Maybe, thought Caranthir, after battling his reluctance to ask for anyone’s help that had festered in him for two days now, Celegorm would know what to do.
He slowed as he got closer to Celegorm’s room, but his steps were no less deliberate. When he finally reached his destination, he didn’t even need to knock before Celegorm knew he was there.
“‘S open!”
Caranthir pushed the door open a bit too harshly and stepped inside. He said nothing.
“Well?” said Celegorm with raised eyebrows, “What?”
“What do you know about the day of the lamps?”
Celegorm scoffed, “No more than you do. We celebrate it every year.”
“No,” said Caranthir, “How we do it.”
“Yeah. How we do it - we put the lamps in the baskets, and set them off to fly.”
Caranthir huffed, “Yes, that’s how we do it. How do the Teleri do it?”
Celegorm paused before he stood up with a wolfish grin, “So that’s what this is about?”
“Answer the question.”
“I am beginning to wonder if I should warn her of the dangers of being your little muse. Should I tell her that Caranthir the Dark lurking awaits her here in our fathers house?”
Caranthir crossed his arms, regretting his decision to come here for help but unable to make himself leave, “She is not my muse, and there is no danger for her. Answer the question.”
“I don’t really know,” said Celegorm, “She said they do pretty much the same thing, but they set theirs out on the sea.”
“I know that,” replied Caranthir bitterly, “but what do they put them out with? It’s some kind of plant.”
“I don’t kn-”
“Where does it- where can I find it?”
Celegorm’s eyes inflated in irritation and he stood, “I don’t know what kind of plant it is. Ask Finrod. His mother’s Telerin.”
Caranthir let out a sharp breath in frustration. It was annoying enough to have to ask Celegorm, he didn’t want to ask his cousin. The longer he contemplated, the more he liked the idea of abandoning the gesture he’d had planned all-together. It probably wouldn’t do him any good, anyways.
“You want me to ask him for you,” said Celegorm, “Fine. That’s fine.”
“I never said that.”
“Yeah, well, I’ve about had it with your constant pining,” huffed Celegorm, “I’l just do it my dams se-”
“Pining?” said Caranthir, “The hell do you mean pining?”
“Don’t stand there and pretend you don’t know damn well what I mean - and now look, you can’t even ask Finrod about one simple thing! How the hell are you gonna-”
“Whatever,” cut in Caranthir, pivoting on his heel. Though Caranthir loved his family like his mother always instructed him, he wasn’t particularly fond of Finrod. The last time he had seen Finrod was at the Mereth Nuin Giliath - standing next to you with a wine glass in hand, blushes covering both of your faces and your lips stained faintly red. Caranthir was supposed to be the one laughing and blushing and drinking with you, not Finrod, no matter how pretty he was.
Caranthir shook those thoughts from his head and picked up the pace as he made his way to the dining hall, frustration still evident. The day of the lamps was in eight days, and he still had no idea how to set his plan into action. He supposed, you were coming for dinner tonight, he could ask you yourself. He quickly shut that idea down. If he was going to do this, it needed to be a surprise.
Upon exiting the residential hall of the Feanorian estate, Caranthir’s ears picked up loud rustling and whispered curses. They had just hired a new gardener, a stout fellow with strong arms but no sense between his ears. Caranthir supposed it was just the old goon making the ruckus, until he remembered it was dinner time already and the whispers began to sound more and more familiar.
The noise grew panicked as Caranthir made his way over to the source. When he was close enough, he pulled the foliage of the shrubs away to reveal none other than his silver-haired brother.
“Celegorm,” he said, “What are you doing?”
“It’s none of your concern.”
Caranthir looked down to the satchel in Celegorm’s arms, “You’ve been stealing wetsto-”
“Shh,” exclaimed Celegorm in a sorry excuse for a whisper, “Someone will he-.”
“Yeah someone’s gonna hear! You shouldn’t be taking those. Didn’t you get caught doing it before?”
“Look, I just really needed them, and the shops were all closed. Just don’t tell anyone, and I’ll pay for them tomorrow. Please, just keep this a secret. I’ll do anything.”
Caranthir raised his eyebrows, and Celegorm knew exactly what he wanted.
“Fine.”
The third and middle-most sons of Feanor made their way towards the dining hall, Moryo the Dark’s shoulders straightened a bit more than they had been before he was owed a favor from his older brother. The smell of broiled quail in Nerdanel’s sweet lemon sauce wafted through the air. A mixture of voices - yours and Maglor’s - echoed a sweet tune about the estate. The two shared a glance before entering.
You stood in the kitchen with Nerdanel offering help, but she denied it. It was no lie that you couldn’t cook, but it was something you didn’t really resent and accepted with good humor. You stopped when the door opened. The blush that spread across your cheeks was too prominent to miss, and Caranthir couldn’t stop the pride that swelled up in his chest. Everyone knew you were blushing because of him.
There was no denying that you thought he was a good-looking man. He was tall and lean with broad shoulders, and those gray eyes of his never failed to make your heart stutter. It came as a surprise to everyone who knew the both of you that you, being so friendly and lively and charismatic, were attracted to the stoic prince of the Noldor.
Deep down, your liking to Caranthir was one of the driving forces that had you moving to Tirion in the first place.
“Hello, Celegorm,” you said, and a new star seemed to shine in your eyes when you turned to his brother, “Caranthir.”
“It’s good to see you,” he said, before embracing his mother and taking a seat.
You blushed even deeper and smiled in his direction. You missed the amused look shared between Nerdanel and her eldest son.
“I’m glad you’ve joined us, osellë,” said Maedhros warmly.
“I’m glad too,” you replied, “I have been so busy lately: I have received so many letters all at once from Alqualonde. They are asking if I am visiting for the Day of the Lamps.”
Caranthir’s breath hitched. If you went home for the holiday, his plan would never come to life. The silence that lingered in the air before his eldest brother spoke again seemed like an eternity.
“Are you?”
“No,” you replied, rather abruptly, “All my close family has gone back to Beleriand with the Sindar, and the few of my family remaining in Valinor are distant. I do not know them well. I was hoping I could celebrate it with you all like I did last year.”
Caranthir’s heart leaped.
“Of course,” said Nerdanel, “You are welcome here anytime. You should know that well enough by now.”
You smiled.
“That reminds me,” said Celegorm, “What are the flowers that you used to set out each year at Alqualonde? Finrod told me about them once, but I can’t remember.”
“We use a mixture of things - hydrangeas, and lots of morning glories.”
Celegorm’s eyes lit up with recognition, “Oh, we’ve lots of morning glories, but I have searched far and wide for hydrangeas, and I cannot find them anywhere but the shores of Alqualonde.”
“Really?” you said, “Not even the shores directly east?”
Celegorm shook his head.
“We made wreaths with them and put them around our lamps and set them out to sea. I did miss it; perhaps this year I will celebrate it in the bathtub!”
Celegorm’s eyebrow twitched - See? I gave you what you wanted. - as he peaked up at Caranthir. Caranthir did not look up from his plate, only pursed his lips and took another bite. Celegorm knew another word would not be said from his younger brother - that look was one of contemplation, and it would not soon be worn off once Caranthir was fixated.
“That is an odd way to reminisce about the past,” said Nerdanel, and you laughed.
The rest of dinner went much this way. Small talk floated about the Fëanorian dining room with the occasional brotherly dispute. Though most of the company fellowshipped late into the night, Caranthir, much to your dismay, retired to bed rather early in. He was preparing for an early start the next day. The trip to Alqualonde wouldn’t make itself, and eight days was hardly enough time to make it there and back to Tirion.

Stars and Midnight Blue
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Legolas is a character who has remained close to my heart since I was 7 years old. There's something so special about these Elves of Middle Earth and I hope in this series I can do them justice.
Legolas x human!reader | drabble | writing exercise
Tumblr media
The music of the Bruinen flowed around you as its crystal waters reflected silver moonlight upon its rippling depths. A warm breeze brushed strands of hair back from your face as you leaned into the comforting figure perched beside you, his arm wrapped around your side.
"Thank you for bringing me here." You murmured softly, afraid your voice might break the spell of this midnight scene.
You felt Legolas shift against you as he smiled, his keen eyes still fixed on the glittering sky above. "I'm glad you deem the journey worth it after all. Despite your frequent protestations."
"I'll definitely feel it tomorrow." You nudged him reproachfully with your elbow and smiled as he laughed. "You neglected to mention how far we'd be walking."
Legolas met your gaze then. After all the time you'd known him, he still managed to make your breath catch in your throat. His hair was argent under the brilliant night sky, shining against his dark tunic. "You have my apologies, meleth. However, I believe such adventures will, how do you say it, 'build your character'."
"I think my character is doing just fine." You huffed, looking away toward the bubbling water framed by dark trees beyond.
Regardless of your mild embarrassment at your own human limitations, you melted into Legolas' embrace as he placed a gentle kiss to your temple, remaining with his nose in your hair as he breathed slowly.
You closed your own eyes, savoring the feeling of this moment, committing it to memory and storing it within your heart. The both of you knew your time together was short but had determined to make the most of what little grace was allowed.
The fate of Elves and Men were divergent, as Eru had foreordained, and thus the bonding of immortal with mortal lead only to ruin in the end.
You pushed such thoughts away and turned your face into him, your nose brushing his throat as you breathed in the familiar scent of pine and leather.
"Gi melin, elenath-nin." Your words came out hardly audible to your own ears, but you knew he heard.
Legolas pressed his fingers beneath your chin, tilting your head up as he studied your moonlit face pensively. "Cin gar-nin emel." His warm lips brushed over yours. "To whatever end."
The smile he bestowed upon you then matched the moon above his head in brilliance and hope renewed within your heart that your fates would remain intertwined until the sundering of the world and beyond. You leaned forward, kissing him once more before leaning your head on his shoulder, his strong arm holding you close as you enjoyed the peace of the night under the moon and stars, with the river's song mingling with the beating of your heart.
Cin gar-nin emel : you have my heart (sindarin)
Gi melin, elenath-nin : I love you, my stars (sindarin)
meleth: love (sindarin)
End notes:
this was my first fanfic attempt at bringing Legolas or anything Middle Earth to life and is sincerely a daunting task. Especially writing fic for Elves of Middle Earth because their culture is so incredibly singular. Hope you enjoyed that little scene.

Warning: This is NSFW so if you’re under the legal age or uncomfortable with content like this, please skip over this one! Content Warning: Threesome, Face Fucking
NSFW Legolas: Kinks
Legolas is an exhibitionist. It is thrilling for him, due to his rank as an elf. The thought of someone catching him and his partner and ratting them out to his father, excites him.
Legolas loves whenever he hears his partners small whines. More often than not, the whines are so low that only elves can hear them. He has a voice kink. He loves to hear his partner whine, moan, make all kinds of different noises.
He would also be into face fucking his partner. He is a bit of a dacryphiliac. So when the waterworks start, it doesn't take long for him to come.
He is not opposed to sharing his partner with someone else on occasion.
There are very few people he is okay with sharing his partner with. Aragorn, Elladan, and Elrohir are amongst the few he would be comfortable sharing with.
He has had done a threesome with his partner and Aragorn. The position that is typically used is called the woman sandwich. Look it up if you want to see what it looks like.

Lovely M! Your requests are open! So I was wondering if you would mind writing a lil something for my favourite wolf boi (or Celegorm!) With the prompt "jousting"
I'm feeling something comedic, but I'm ultimately leaving the vibe up to you
As always, you're welcome to make it lemon-y sour if you would like, preferably fem!reader, and maybe set in the normal time frame or thereabouts
Thanks in advance if you decide to write this! <3
Right. Since you prefer the normal time frame, how about Celegorm learning to joust somewhere in Middle-Earth?
This won’t be smut, but I’ve added some NSFW elements all the same.
“Little game”
Pairing: Celegorm x Fem. Reader (Mortal | second person POV) | Location: Middle-Earth / Himlad | Prompt: Joust
Themes : Soft | NSFW
Warnings : Kissing | Teasing | Innuendo | Use of a weapon (Lance)
Word count: 1.2k words
Summary: Celegorm is frustrated after not having mastered the lance quickly enough.
Minors DNI | 18+ | You are responsible for the media you consume.
Tumblr media
"My lord! That is not how you couch a lance!"
Celegorm closed his eyes and groaned in frustration. Here he was, a son of Fëanor, a student of none other than the great hunter Oromë himself, failing to wield what was, to all intents and purposes, a heavy stick with a blunted end.
"This is cumbersome!" He complained, "and wholly unsuitable! I insist you hand me my sword immediately!"
"No." You took your time walking to the end of the sparring field, where a straw target was already mounted onto a pivot. "You wanted to learn, my lord. Now learn. Come now," you said, tugging at the straps, the shield, and the leather war-hammer stuffed with tufts of wool. "Surely you, a son of Fëanor, are not admitting defeat."
Celegorm narrowed his eyes, the tips of his ears flushing red and twitching in anger. "Hold your tongue, woman."
"Hold it?" Wicked humor fills your eyes. "What a shame, for I thought you dearly loved it when I swirled my tongue around the tip of yo…"
"Enough!" Red-cheeked, embarrassed, and more than a little inflamed, Celegorm gave you a cheeky grin. "Enough. Very well. Teach me how to couch this wretched thing."
You helped him with his grip and the angle of his aim. "Lean forward in your saddle," you counseled. "It will help with your balance. Keep your eye on the target. Extend your arm fully just before striking. The speed of your horse will do the rest."
Celegorm listened and took your advice to heart. He held the lance firmly, tucking it under his arm for support. You backed away when he dug his heels into his horse, and it broke into a gallop, racing towards the straw target with all the speed it could muster, its hooves tearing up the grassy earth beneath it. Celegorm waited until the right time, just as he was told. He extended his arm and released, just as he was told. The blunted end struck the shield square in the center. Celegorm hooted in triumph, then howled in agony when the target spun like a top and the stuffed war-hammer struck him square on the back. You ran to him as soon as it happened, alarm coursing through your body.
"My lord!" You cried. "My lord, are you hurt?"
"Just my blasted pride," Celegorm answers quickly, ridding himself of the lance. It fell to the earth with a soft thud. "Tell me. How old are mortal children when they acquire skill with this weapon?"
"Ten and six for most, my lord," you replied, pausing. "If they are strong enough to wield it."
"Ten and six." Celegorm sputtered in disbelief. "Eru save me. And how old were you?"
"The same age or thereabouts. Some are deadly with the lance by the time they reach that age."
"Deadly with it." Celegorm stammered again, ashamed that an elf should struggle to master a weapon. "If my brothers learn of this, I will not hear the end of their teasing."
"All the more reason for you to practice," you reply. You had heard of Celegorm's brothers and how they competed against each other. You felt for him. "But enough for today. We will start again tomorrow."
Celegorm dismounted and walked with you back to the tower house he had come to call home, to the chambers that gave him some peace. Once safely ensconced in his bedroom, you helped him undress.
"You said you were unhurt!" you exclaimed. An angry bruise had formed, just beneath his shoulder blades. "Pray give me a moment. I have a balm for it."
"No." Celegorm crawled onto his featherbed, biting back a helpless whimper. "Leave it be for now. Come, lay beside me a little."
The world outside changed and darkened. Golden light gave way to the dark, the animals of the night, and the full moon. Torches came to life, their light chasing away the gloom. A dog barked just beneath the open window. Someone shouted orders.
Celgorm was silent, brooding over his failure. You propped yourself on your elbow. "How are you, truly?"
He turned to face you, his rich blue eyes half-hidden in shadow.
"Ashamed," he confessed. "I am an elf, one who was born in Valinor, and a prince of the Noldor besides. And yet I struggle to master a weapon."
"This was only your third day, my lord." You reached out and brushed stray locks of golden hair out of his eyes. "There is no shame in not mastering a skill so soon."
"Yes, but mortal children do. By the time they are ten and six!"
"Because our world is more dangerous, we have no other choice. Do not fret, my lord. You will be unhorsing the best of them before long."
The games, or jousts, as the Edain called it were something they devised to train and prepare hopeful warriors. Celegorm had heard of it, after establishing a lordship for himself in Himlad. Those from amongst the Edain would ride against each other, seeking honor, gold, and glory, companions to shower them with all manner of favors. He was told the next games would be held on another turn of the moon. There was still enough time for him to learn. Celegorm grew more hopeful.
"Yes," he decided. "I will be ready then. Now, what shall we do to pass the time?"
You wrinkle your brow. "Read, perhaps? Shall I call for some candles?"
"No." Celegorm sat up, shaking his head, and said, "No. I am not in the mood to read."
"No books?" you said, tilting your head to the side and smiling slowly. "How about a game of dice, then? It is all the fashion now."
"As my brother Curufin would tell you," Celegorm said gravely, "I should be allowed nowhere near a game of dice. Or any game of chance, for that matter."
You smiled and sat up straight. This was all just part of a little game that both of you played every night without fail. Celegorm would fuss, you would offer other amusements, and Celegorm would fuss again. The game inevitably ended in fits of laughter and passionate embraces.
"Hmmm." You narrowed your eyes in mock concentration. "No books and no games of chance. How about some music, then?"
Celegorm's eyes blazed then. "Oh yes. I know just the music I want to hear now, and only you can provide it."
The true meaning of what he said was not lost on you. You made yourself look sober and grave, and replied thus: "You commanded me to hold my tongue, my lord, and I am not one to ignore such commands. Because of this, you will have no music from me."
Celegorm clapped his hand over his heart. "Oh!" He lamented. "Would you forgive me for my careless command, sweet y/n? How can I atone for it? Should I plead? Go to my knees? Abase myself like a lowly creature before my wounded love?"
It was hard to remain stern after his little display. You laughed, in small burps at first, before breaking into fits of it.
"You, my lord, are impossible." You leaned forward and kissed him. Celegorm slid his arms around you, his sweet breath leaving you dizzy and weak. "But I am glad you are mine."
"As I am glad you are mine," Celegorm laid back down, taking you with him. "Now come, loosen that beautiful tongue for me."

Their Favourite Place To Kiss You | House of Feanor
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Fëanor
Nape of your neck, just where your hairline met your skin. His touch was always intense, but there, his lips were soft and unhurried. He loved how you would tilt your head slightly, allowing him more access—the simple act felt like a quiet surrender. He would press his lips against that tender spot, and the warmth of his breath would linger long after he pulled away. It was his private gesture, a way of stating a claim without words. Whether you were standing together in his forge, your hands stained with ink from writing down his notes or seated by the fire, Fëanor would lean in, his lips finding that familiar spot, letting you know that even in his most focused moments, you were never far from his thoughts.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Maedhros
On your wrist, right over the faint pulse that beat steadily beneath your skin. His kisses were gentle, his large, calloused hands cradling your smaller ones as he brought your wrist to his lips. There was something worshipful about the way he kissed you there, almost as if he were paying homage to you with every press of his lips. He loved how your pulse would quicken when he did it, how you would shiver at the delicate contact. It wasn’t a public display—Maedhros was too private for that—but when you were alone together, he would often reach for your wrist, brushing a kiss there in quiet moments. It was a kiss that spoke of trust, silent devotion, and the love you shared.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Maglor
The corner of your mouth, where a teasing smile would often begin. He adored the way you would turn your head just slightly, pretending to evade him, only to let him catch you in the end. His kisses were playful, his lips lingering there as if savouring the promise of a fuller kiss to come. It was a tender spot, full of unsaid things, where laughter could easily turn into something softer. He’d brush his lips there in passing, whether you were seated beside him while he strummed a melody or walking together in the peaceful garden. Every kiss felt like a small secret, something shared just between the two of you, unspoken but deeply understood.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Celegorm
Your temple. It was an act of quiet affection, one that contrasted with his usual exuberant energy. He was always so intense in every other way, but when he kissed you there, it was soft, a rare moment of calm in the storm of his life. He loved the way you’d close your eyes, letting the tension melt away as his lips pressed against your skin—a sign of trust and comfort. Whether you were resting your head against his shoulder after a long day or sitting together in the grass, he would lean over, his kiss firm and warm. It wasn’t a kiss that demanded attention, but one that grounded him.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Caranthir
Your jawline. He loved the way you would tense ever so slightly in surprise, as his lips brushed the curve just beneath your ear and then traced the line down to your chin. There was something almost possessive about it, the way his kisses there would linger, his mouth barely moving, just pressing firmly into your skin. It wasn’t a place others would think to kiss, but Caranthir wasn’t like others. He found solace in these quiet moments, his lips against your jaw, his hand resting against your waist as if he needed to keep you close. It was intimate, a way of anchoring himself, and a way of showing you how much he needed that quiet connection.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Curufin
The curve of your shoulder, where skin met the delicate slope of your collarbone. His lips would hover there, just brushing the surface before pressing down more firmly, almost as if he were tasting your very essence. He loved how you would instinctively relax into him, your body turning slightly to allow him more access. It was a vulnerable place to kiss, exposed and intimate, and Curufin relished that fact. Whether you were sitting together in his study or standing by his side as he worked on his latest project, he would lean in without warning, his mouth finding that familiar curve. It was a kiss that was both grounding and possessive, a silent reminder that you belonged to each other.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Amrod
Your forehead. It was a simple, gentle gesture, and one that he reserved for moments when he wanted to express affection without needing words. His lips would brush over your skin softly, lingering just long enough for you to feel the warmth of his breath. Whether you were sitting beside him, lost in conversation, or leaning against him by the fire, Amrod would tilt your chin up with a quiet, unspoken request. He adored the way you would smile slightly in response, knowing that this small kiss carried the weight of all the tenderness he didn’t often express openly. It was his way of grounding you, making you feel safe, and showing you how much he cared without needing to say anything at all.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Amras
The top of your head. It was a casual yet affectionate act that came so naturally to him. You’d often be standing or sitting in front of him, unaware of how his gaze would soften as he reached out and pressed his lips against your hair. Whether you were wrapped up in a blanket, half-asleep in his arms, or simply leaning against him as the day drew to a close, he found comfort in this small, affectionate gesture. His kiss was always accompanied by the gentle press of his hand to the back of your head, his fingers weaving through your hair as he pulled you a little closer. It was an intimate touch, one that never failed to make you feel cherished and loved.
Tumblr media
𓏲⋆ ִֶָ ๋𓂃 ⋆ Celebrimbor
Your hands. Whether he was working in his forge or meticulously sketching a design, whenever you were near, he’d take your hand in his and press his lips to your knuckles, his eyes filled with a quiet devotion. There was something intimate about the way his lips lingered there, a silent acknowledgement of the trust and affection that flowed between you. He’d always smile afterwards, the corner of his mouth quirking up as if it was his secret way of expressing his feelings. Whether you were walking through the halls of Eregion or sitting with him in the glow of his forge, his kisses on your hands felt like small promises.

The walk down the hall from the library was one of the longest of your life as you tried to figure out whether or not the King had some ulterior motive. Was he lulling you into a false sense of security? Though you couldn’t come to any reason why he would need to do that other than the fact that you had built up such an image of him in your head that everything about him seemed to trigger your paranoia. It was maddening but you focused on keeping yourself upright as you trailed along beside him in the direction of your room.
“How many in your village can read?” Thranduil asked after a long silence, turning just slightly so he could look at you.
It took you off guard as you glanced up at him, eyebrows raised in question. “Uh.” You shook your head, grasping for words. “Not many.” You admitted, shrugging.
“But you can.” It was not a question. Thranduil knew lots about most, if not all, of the villages surrounding Mirkwood and yours in particular was quite a small, poor one. Not many people prioritised learning to read and write and he was quite intriged to find that you were different.
Nodding, you clasped your hands in front of you, looking around at the architecture of this place once more, unable to help yourself. The magnificence of it still overwhelmed you. “Yes. My father taught me... when I was small.” Your expression fell slightly at the thought of your father. You missed him. A lot.
Thranduil sighed when you mentioned your father and you took it negatively, turning to look at him with a frown. “My father is a good man.” You said firmly.
“I said nothing to the contrary.” Thranduil replied, waving a dismissive hand, keeping his voice steady.
“You did not need to!” Your feet stilled as you stopped walking. You stood half-glaring up at him as you watched him turn around, irritation clear in his eyes, but you found that you didn’t care. You loved your father, he was all you had and you were all he had. Legolas had told you he had not been in his right mind when he had stumbled upon this kingdom and you believed him. Your father was not at fault - he would never hurt anybody, not intentionally. “How can you be so cold?”
“That is not how you address your King, Girl.” Thranduil’s voice had dropped considerably, a clear warning laced through his tone like ice.
Now, this was the King you recognised. “I have a name, you know.”
Another silence fell over you both. You could have heard a pin drop in that hallway as Thranduil stared you down and you stared back, not wanting to give in to him. You had never met anyone more frustrating or more confusing in your entire life. How did he switch so rapidly from mean to kind and back again. Was it all false? A lie? It seemed very possible.
Thranduil’s face was as blank as a blank sheet of parchment but his mind was working on overdrive. He was faced with the fact that you were being outrageously disrespectful, to a king no less. You, his prisoner who he had allowed to roam freely in his kingdom. He was also faced with the fact that he understood where it was coming from and the fact that he had been trying to be nicer. He had been determined to, in his own way, make some sort of amends - show gratitude for what you had done after the encounter with the orcs in the forest. So why were you making it so difficult?!
“You are right.” Thranduil said after another moment of pure silence, surprising you. Your frown disappeared and you stared at him in disbelief, having been anticipating an argument or for him to grab your arm like he’d done after finding you in the West Wing. Thranduil said your name then and you blinked, not having believed that he had actually even known it. “I apologise.” And with that, he turned and continued down the hall towards the room you were staying in.
You stood there for a second longer than necessary, staring dumbly at the waterfall of his hair that ran down his back, and then you forced yourself to move. Walking after him, you found the anger had gone out of you. Instead of glaring at him, you eyed him curiously as you both travelled across a walkway.
Finally coming to your room, you held in a sigh of relief, reaching for the door handle so you could let yourself in. Though your previous irritation at the Elvenking had lessened after his apology... apology! You could hardly believe the words had actually left his mouth. You turned to look at him once you’d stepped through the doorway, to bid him goodnight, and found him studying you.
Thranduil couldn’t deny that he was curious. To himself, at any rate, if anyone were to ask him outright he would act as if it was the most ridiculous notion in Middle Earth. He had been full of frustration and derision when his son had decided to take you under his wing like a little mortal pet but he couldn’t quite shake that there was something... he couldn’t put his finger on it but he quite wanted to figure out what was bothering him so much.
“Meet me here after lunch on the morrow.” He said, before you could shut the door in his face. “I wish to show you something.”
Then, once more, he left you standing there, staring after him in confusion and surprise as he turned and swept away.
Tumblr media
Hours later, your father opened his eyes slowly, groaning at the pain in the back of his head. It was no longer dark, he could see the sky above him clearly as he rolled over and pulled himself upright into a sitting position. It appeared to be morning. Frowning, he looked around, slowly coming to terms with his new surroundings. The grass beneath him, the trees at his back. The last thing he remembered was being in the very forest that he was waking beside just now.
What happened?
He stood and turned briefly, peering through the treeline but he couldn’t see anything. Where had Vermund and Oeric gone? They had been with him, had they not? It came back to him in flashes. The arrows - elves, one of which he had recognised as the one he had attacked when he had been captured and imprisoned. Then what? Then... blackness. But the elves had been in his line of vision - the blow had come from Vermund, from behind him, right across the back of his head. Rendering him unconscious.
He turned away, full of anger, and started off over the field, realising he recognised the way to the village from here. He had not been able to retrieve you, his mission failing, but he would get more help and he would return. He would rescue you.
Two pairs of eyes watched his retreat from up in a nearby tree.
Tumblr media
Tauriel shook her head sadly as she watched the man go. At least he was okay but she had been worried for a while there that the blow to the head would prove to be too much. It had all happened so fast. She and Legolas had gone off in search of the voices they had heard in the woods, coming across the three men. Legolas recognised one as your father and it didn’t take a genius to figure out what he was doing back in these woods. Coming for you. Probably trying to ‘save’ you and Legolas would have reassured him that you were being cared for if it had not all kicked off quite so quickly.
The larger of the other two men had started swinging, but not at Legolas. He had struck your poor father over the head and pushed him directly into Tauriel, knocking her off balance as he took her by surprise. Neither of the two had expected the men to attack one of their own. He had drawn his sword and fought his way back, using the smaller man as a shield. Legolas had wanted to go after them but he had been torn when he realised that your father was actually unconscious. He’d let them go, something he did not plan on telling his father, and turned to help Tauriel.
The two of them had helped him as best they could, Tauriel using a little athelas on his head wound, though unfortunately he would be left with a headache.
“He will come back.” Tauriel said, jumping down from the tree and readying herself for the journey back to the camp they had left.
“I know.” Legolas shrugged, sighing as he followed her. “He is reckless. He will not make it through the forest alone.” And from the looks of it, he did not have many true allies that he could rally together and bring with him. Legolas worried he would get himself killed and you would be heartbroken. “Come, Tauriel. This detour has added an extra day on to our return journey.”
“He is just scared for his only daughter.” Tauriel said, walking ahead through the trees, so ready to be home after the gruelling patrol. She could not wait to be able to properly bathe.
Tumblr media
As tired as you had been back in the library, you still found yourself unable to sleep for a good few hours, tossing and turning as the time ticked by. You had never been so confused and frustrated in your entire life. It was the Elvenking’s doing, of course, you weren’t foolish enough not to realise that, but you just simply could not figure him out. One moment he was terrifying you, practically to tears. The next he was acting... you didn’t even know what to call it. Nice. Kind. He even apologised. He said the words I apologise... out loud. To your face!
You tried not to think about it but you were a little anxious about tomorrow. Scratch that, you were a lot anxious about tomorrow. Why did he want to see you after lunch? What was he going to show you? The last thing you were in the mood for was another argument but, truthfully, despite the ups and downs of his emotions you were kind of... excited about it. Maybe excited was the wrong word, you didn’t know. You were something about it and that would be as much as you would touch upon that for now.
Rolling onto your side, you squeezed your eyes shut and willed yourself off to sleep, doing your very best not to think about Thranduil’s arms around you as he prevented you from falling on your face in the library that evening.

Imagine being a Telerin child, and accidentally getting taken to Middle Earth
Tumblr media
You were a child of a telerin sailor. You and your father were preparing to return to your home island until the darkening happened and the kin slaying followed. Your father hid you, but then you had to watch as he was killed right in front of you. You then get accidentally brought along to Beleriand by the Noldor after they stole your father's boat.
Warnings: Heavy angst, kin slaying, blood, seasickness, starvation, burning of the ships, Tyelpe being the only one nice to you, you technically become an orphan and get adopted by the murder family.
----------------------------------------------------
-  You remember that night like it was yesterday.
- You and your father were walking across the harbor of Alqualonde, hand in hand, returning from a celebration. You were holding your plushie and a bag of candy after convincing your father to buy you one. He had always been more lenient in getting you candy than your mother who was more strict and insistent in eating healthy food. He had always been a huge softie for you, and you loved him for it.
- When you were talking about what you wanted for dinner, everything suddenly became dark. The streets were lit by the street lamps, but now the only thing that lit the sky were Varda's stars. You didn't comprehend what was happening, except that it caused a lot of panic and that you heard that something had happened to the two trees.
-Your father took you to his boat when you started to get scared by the darkness. The cabin was filled with lights, and you were no longer scared when your father comforted you. He tried to explain what was happening and assured you that you would go home once the valars did something about the darkness.
- You then remember falling asleep. You were tired after playing a lot in the celebration and your father encouraged you to rest, deciding to help those in need at the harbor with his crew in the meantime.
- You did not know how long you slept, most likely a few hours, but you remember waking up to strange sounds.  Something was happening outside the cabin since you heard loud yelling, and what sounded like metals being hit together. You became scared when you heard someone scream and fall into the water.
- Your father then slammed through the door. His eyes were filled with fear and you noticed a deep red stain on his arm.
- You asked what was happening when he suddenly picked you up and told you to hide beneath the floorboard. You did what he asked and he then said that no matter what you had to stay hidden.
- You heard someone banging on the door of the cabin.
- Your father closed the floorboard and you heard someone burst through the door. You heard talking and pushed the floorboard just a little to see what was happening. You saw your father and another elf, who was holding a long sharp-looking weapon. Your father pleaded but the other elf then swung the sharp weapon at your father. You slapped your hand against your mouth when you saw your father fall to the floor, motionless and lying on his own blood.
- You closed the floorboard, and for a moment you thought the elf heard you. You heard him walk above the floor, and you kept quiet despite the tears that fell freely from your eyes. You heard him stay near the floorboard before walking away.
- You held on to your plushie while crying. You kept quiet when you heard more elves walk in, and a voice, telling you to take your father's corpse away. You then listened to your father being dragged across the floor, making you cry harder.
- You wished this was a bad dream and hoped your mother or anyone from your father’s crew came to get you, but no one came.
- You did not know how long you were there, but you heard the voices from outside quiet down and many footsteps step on board your father's boat.
- They said something about sailing and after minutes you felt the boat move. You felt scared since the elves were stealing your father's boat. You did not know what to do and remained quiet for half an hour.
- But soon you heard the ocean sing in fury and felt your father's boat sail through a furious storm. Your father's boat managed to endure, but you grew sick from getting tossed from side to side. It might have been because you ate too much candy, cried for many minutes, and witnessed your father's death, but you then vomited from the continuous sailing. Whatever these elves were doing, they did not know how to sail a boat.
- Your father never feared storms when Ulmo and one of his maiars became angry, he actually made you fear it less, but with these elves, you felt like you were going to die.
- After surviving through the storm, you felt sick and thirsty. The smell of your vomit did not help you.
- Your body felt cramped after so much hiding, so you dared to take a look above the floorboard. You remember your father storing some clean water bottles in the cabin, so you had an idea that if you could sneak in and grab one of the bottles, you could quench your thirst.
- You kept quiet when you saw three elves in the cabin, talking about something. One of them seemed like a kid by their voice. They said something about a curse and the boy wanting to be back with his mother. The elf, his father, said that they could not turn back now and told the boy it was the end of the discussion. You quivered when you realized the elf was the one who killed your father.
- You saw the two elves leave the cabin, leaving the kid on your bed. You took the chance to quietly climb out and crawl toward the cabinet where the water should be.
- However, you did not think the elf kid would notice you so quickly and found you hiding behind some boxes.
- In panic, you tried to crawl back to your hiding place, but he was quick to calm you down and assure you that he was not going to hurt you.
- He was soft-spoken, so you did not feel immediately threatened. He looked similar to the elf who killed your father, but in his eyes, he held gentleness and barely looked a few years older than you. He handed you your bag of candy, assuring you he did not take any, and since he had a feeling it belonged to you.
- His presence felt somewhat comforting and when he asked if you were sick since you were pale and still had some spots of vomit on your clothes. You told him you had been hiding beneath the floorboard and puked when they sailed through the storm.
- You half expected him to laugh at you since puking through a storm was seen as pretty embarrassing, but he instead apologized since his kin were not very good at sailing and gave you a blanket to keep you warm and water when you told him you were dying of thirst.
- After chugging down the water, you asked if they kidnapped him too.
- He looked ashamed and then told you he was not being kidnapped. His father made him come with the rest of their family.
- You then tried to ask why his kin killed your father and stole his boat, and where were they sailing.
- He looked even more ashamed and then told you what had happened to his great grandfather and that the dark vala Melkor stole something important from his family. However, he did not know why his grandfather and father decided to harm your kin.
- You felt scared and asked if they were going to kill you too if they found you.
- The elf boy seemed startled and quickly assured he would not let any harm come to you. He might not be able to go back home, but he will not let his father and family hurt you.
- You doubted his words a little but felt comforted. You two then became friends and you learned his name to be Tyelperinquar. It was a bit hard for you to pronounce so he allowed you to call him Tyelpe for short.
- Tyelpe gave you company and comfort, staying on guard when someone was coming to the cabin and telling you to hide when you had to. You honestly felt more safe with him, and even grew to like him enough to share your candy with him.
- But then the sailing came to an end. You had reached the land called Beleriand. You stayed hidden when Tyelpe's father and uncle came to fetch him and told him they were going to camp outside on the beach.
- Tyelpe agreed to go with them and left the cabin, leaving you hiding beneath the floorboard. You didn't dare to peak outside, so you tried to wait for Tyelpe to come back.
- But after such a long night of hiding and sailing, you fell tired, so you grabbed the blanket and slept under your bed to stay hidden.
- You did not know how much time had passed but then you woke up to someone gently shaking you awake. You were startled till you realized it was Tyelpe.
- He told you most of the things had been taken to the beach and that he sneaked out when he had the chance. He said you should come with him to another hiding spot because you had not eaten the whole night.
- You wanted to reject the thought but your stomach gave an audible answer, crumbling painfully. You could not then deny that real food would taste good. You were kinda getting sick of eating candy.
- Tyelpe gave you his cloak, telling you it would hide your face and make others think you were just one of the Noldor kids brought along. You felt fearful but agreed to the idea. He gave you his cloak, which was slightly too big but did the job of hiding your features, and then led you outside.
- You were shaking when you saw the Noldor unloading boxes and raising tents on the beach. The idea of them hurting you haunted you as you were not one of them, just an accidental stowaway.
- Tyelpe helped you out of your father's boat and then led you to his tent. He was able to convince his father he was big enough to sleep on his own, thus he was able to bring you somewhere alone and have warm food without suspicion.
- You were usually picky when it came to plain bread, but this time it tasted better than candy. You would not have complained if you got your mom's terrible fish soup.
- After having a proper meal, Tyelpe allowed you to sleep on the same bed as him because then he would be able to hide you beneath the blankets if anyone came to see him. You felt tired and thanked him for being a good Noldor instead of a bad one.
- Tyelpe tried to comfort you when you remembered the moment when your father was killed and even apologized for his father doing something so cruel.
- You said you did not hate him because it was his father who had hurt your dad, not him.
- Tyelpe then assured you that he would look out for you and not let anything or anyone hurt you, not even his father.
- You two then shared stories to pass the time, giggling at funny things that happened with your families. You even teased him a little as he was nicer than his father. You then fell asleep on the way and did not remember much of what happened after.
- Except when you heard yelling and saw something burning outside the tent.
- You woke up Tyelpe and urged him to go outside with you to see what was happening. However, when you two ran outside, to your horror, the Noldor were burning up all your kin's boats, including your father's boat
- Tears ran down your cheek, and when someone noticed you standing with Tyelpe without your cloak on, you ran away into the woods. Anything to get away from the monsters that were the Noldor.
- Tyelpe followed after you, calling out to you and trying to make you stop before you ended up hurting yourself.
- You didn't get too far when you realized it was awfully dark, reminding you of the darkness that darkened the harbor of Alqualonde.
- When Tyelpe caught up with you, you cried in anguish. With your father's boat gone, you will never get back home and return to your mother. The Noldor's cruelty knew no end.
- Tyelpe tried to calm you down, but you were too deep in your anger and sorrow. He had no idea why his family would do such a thing since half of the hosts were still in Valinor. They were supposed to send someone to sail them over so they could face Morgoth together.
- You asked what was the difference between them and the dark Valar, they were just as awful as him.
- Tyelpe tried to comfort you, but the moment was short-lived when you two were found by his father and kin.
- You trashed against one of the elves, who harshly grabbed you and brought you back to the beach with Tyelpe.
- You called all types of names, even those your parents would have been appalled to hear coming from your mouth.
- You were brought in front of Tyelpe's family and you were ten times more terrified to look Feanor himself in the eye. But your mouth might have run itself in anger and you continued calling them monsters.
- They demanded to know why you had come along with them, and you angrily yelled how you were hiding in your father's boat before they killed him in cold blood. You didn't dare to try to flee when they came aboard and then stole your father's boat. You were even more upset by how they had burned it along with other boats they stole from your people.
- Tyelpe's father then snapped at you when you continued running your mouth, and when he tried to touch you or grab you, you bit his hand, making him yell and pull away.
- When he looked like he was about to hit you, Tyelpe suddenly ran between you and prevented it from happening, pleading him not to hurt you.
- His father seemed angry when he realized Tyelpe knew about you, and despite fearing his father's anger, Tyelpe tried to stand his ground, explaining he found you when they had already sailed away from Alqualonde and that you were scared.
- The situation was intense and you couldn't help but quiver while hiding behind Tyelpe.
- Then two of Tyelpe's uncles, the tall red-haired one and one dark-haired one turned toward Feanor and told him you possessed no threat to them as you were only a child that got accidentally brought along. And since they were in new lands, there was no reason to throw you out.
- You did not hear much of what they said. You were certain they were going to kill you like your kin, but apparently, they held some restraint toward children and Feanor decided that the issue was going to be settled later. It was more important for them to chase Morgoth as soon as possible. And the situation was left there.
- You refused to leave Tyelpe's side as you trusted no one, and the constant hurricane of crying and angrily yelling left you tired and silent. It did not help when you forgot where you placed your plushie, holding it would have eased some of the tension.
- Luckily, Tyelpe's family allowed you to stay with him and mostly left you alone, and since Tyelpe was still too young to join any battles, he mostly tried to look after you.
- You had met a few nice Noldor elves before but knew nothing else of them except that they were excellent craftsmen and somewhat prideful. You were not used to that, most telerin were friendly and easy to talk to whenever you were at the harbor with your father. Now these hardened murderers, just gave you looks, somewhat filled with pity and you hated it.
- You strictly remained with Tyelpe or in his tent, hiding in the cloak you were provided.
- One of Tyelpe's uncles, Makalaure, if you remember correctly, came one time to see you. You were not really eager to see him since he had been one of those who willingly burned the boats, and simply asked what he wanted. He spoke softly to you that he understood that you were most likely scared and this was not an ideal situation, and then he returned your toy after hearing from Tyelpe that you had lost it.
- You took your plushie back and uttered a silent thanks before refusing to talk any further.
- He tried to sound comforting and that no harm will come to you, and that you will have everything you need, but you said nothing to them. You simply asked why he would care when it was so easy for him to hurt people and burn your dad's boat.
- He was quiet but did not seem angry. He then left you alone for now.
- The rest was pretty much a passing thought. You stayed with Tyelpe most of the time and watched how things went. Feanor ended up ambushed by Balrogs and died, his son, Nelyafinwe then became the high king but then he was captured and taken to Angband. Makalaure then became the regent for the time being. It was kinda a hectic, especially when the rest of the hosts led by Feanor's half-brother came to Middle Earth, having traveled through Helcaraxe.
-The tensions were high for some time, and then one of their cousins went to Angband and rescued Nelyafinwe.
- His return eased the tension and the high king title was given to Fingolfin.
- Your issue was then decided. Apparently, Makalaure was willing to take you in and turn you into his ward. You were not delighted by the arrangement, but knowing his other family members, he was a somewhat less bad option.
- Your life in Middle Earth did not start well, especially when you still held a strong resentment for them. King Thingol then found out what they had done and banned the Quenyan language, which forced them all to get new names in the Sindar tongue, including you.
- You were not happy about it, and gave Makalaure, or Maglor, a hard time when he tried to help you get a new Sindarin name.
- So here you were now, away from the rest of your family, having to watch your only friend go live elsewhere, and now having to give up using your name.
- You can only hope things will turn out better from there.

𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐍 ; their favourite place to kiss you ── elven edition!
Tumblr media
𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐒: ᵃʳʷᵉⁿ, ᵉˡˡᵃᵈᵃⁿ, ᵉˡʳᵒʰᶦʳ, ᵉˡʳᵒⁿᵈ, ᵍᵃˡᵃᵈʳᶦᵉˡ, ᵍˡᵒʳᶠᶦⁿᵈᵉˡ, ʰᵃˡᵈᶦʳ, ˡᵉᵍᵒˡᵃˢ, ᵗʰʳᵃⁿᵈᵘᶦˡ
[ HAND. ] it’s a soft gesture of intimacy, something they can hide behind the excuse of social politeness ; they enjoy it more than they’d ever let you know, it’s all too clear when you watch them carefully (the flutter of their lashes against their upper cheekbone, the soft stroke of their thumb against the span of your knuckles, their gentle smile as they raise your hand up and up and up──). its a sweet, tender comfort to feel the heat of your palm warm against their cold, lithe fingers.
arwen, elrond, haldir, legolas
[ FOREHEAD. ] they care very little for the opinions of others and none dictate their affections but themselves ; it’s a rather quick, but no less gentle or loving display. their knees bend lightly, hand smoothing out against the crook where your jaw and neck meet, thumb pressing into your soft flesh and angling the crown of your head upwards to meet their lips. the warmth of their mouth tingles pleasantly against your skin and the smell of your hair lingers with them for the remainder of the day.
elrohir, galadriel, haldir, thranduil
[ CHEEK. ] this perhaps, is the least subtle ; they’ll brush their fingers gently across your face before tucking a strand or two of loose hair behind your ear, pressing their lips against your cheek while whispering something they know only you’ll hear. it’s a playful, flirtatious notion and they enjoy hearing your squawk of laughter no matter how many times they’ve used the same, silly joke.

Gif from pinterest, it's not mine
Pov. (Y/n)
I was leading the blond dwarf to his cell. He already gave off his weapons, but I still could see a knife sticking out of his coat. His eyes didn't leave me for a second.
When we got to the cells, I looked at him and cleared my throat, pulling out my hand. He looked at me, confused with a nervous grin.
- Your knife.
I said.
- But I don't have anythin-
I pulled a big dagger out of his coat, and he laughed, embarrassed. I put it inside my pocket and pushed him inside his cell. He looked at me before I walked away. I must admit he is a handsome guy.
I was stopped from walking out of my room by another elf.
- Are you sure you took everything from him?
He asked, and I nodded.
- Our king wants you to take a watch on them for your earlier wrongdoing.
- It was one time!
I said angrily, and he walked away without any more words. I sat down with a loud groan. The dwarves were talking, but I ignored it.
After some time, my butt started hurting, and I decided to stand up, walk a bit, and look at our prisoners. When I walked closer, their talks got quieter. I walked up to a cell with a blond dwarf. He was sitting on his cell bed. He looked at me with confusion.
- So you like daggers and knifes?
I asked, and he looked surprised, but nodded. He stood up and walked up to the doors of the cell.
- You know that you and your companions are really in trouble?
I asked and he sighed.
- We know.. but my uncle, like always, had to express his opinion on elves...
He said the last part quieter, and I giggled. He smiled.
"Mahal.. his smile and his voice are mesmerising.."
I thought and pulled out my hand for him.
- I'm (Y/n).
I said, and he grabbed my hand, turning it and kissing my knuckles. I blushed at the action.
- And I'm Fíli.
He said confidently with a tint of flirt. He let go of my hand, and I tucked my hair behind my ear, slightly blushing.
- Aye! Fíli stop flirting with that elf! It's point-
I heard someone shout, it was a brown haired dwarf, but then they stopped when Tauriel walked into the room. I giggled and waved to her. She waved back and walked through the prison and stopped where the brown haired dwarf was.
- That is my younger brother, Kíli.
Fíli said, leaning on the cell's door.
- And it seems like someone caught his eye.
I said with a smile, and Fíli chucked. I turned around to look at him again. He looked at my weapons, which were hanging around my body. I wasn't the archer elf like most of my friends. I preferred daggers, knives, swords, or even spears.
- You're not an archer?
He asked, surprised, and I nodded, chuckling.
- Definitely not. As you can tell..
I said and turned around, showing him my collection of weapons. His eyes widened and sparkled.
- They all have a story..
I said with nostalgia. He looked at me, intrested.
- Tell me about them.
He said with passion, and I laughed. I slowly sat down before his cell, and so did he.
I told him about my adventures and from where I got my weapons. He looked at me, listening curiously and sometimes making jokes, at which I laughed. The time went fast and nice. Then, someone walked in.
- (Y/n)!! Your shift is over!
The elf soldier shouted, and I looked at the dwarf saddly.
- It was nice talking to you, Fíli.. Hope I will see you soon..
I said quietly, so the elf soldier doesn't hear it. Fíli smiled and nodded.
- I don't think I can go anywhere..
He said and pointed at the cell, chuckling. I smiled and stood up. I waved him goodbye and ran up to the elf.
••
When I heard the alarm that the dwarves were running away, I quickly ran behind Legolas and Tauriel. We were going down the river, following the group of dwarves that were swimming in the barrels.
The dwarves stopped on our border gate, and after a while, there were orcs coming from every direction, killing elves and trying to kill our lost prisoners.
I throwed a spear at the tree and jumped, swinging on it to get on the other side of the river. I was trying to kill as many enemies as I could, but it wasn't easy in this terrain. I cut theirs heads off and cut throats while doing flips and dodges. I sometimes felt someone's gaze on me as I fought.
I saw Kíli getting out to pull the lever, but he got shot on his leg. I frowned and killed another orcs. Tauriel got to his rescue and killed orcs coming his way.
When Kíli pulled the lever and fell inside his barrel, we followed them again. We killed a lot of orcs to keep us and dwarves safe.
"Why are they going so fast?!"
I thought, groaning and leaning my head backwards when no one attacked me. I looked around and took a shortcut, sprinting. The shortcut was higher than the hills around the river. There was only one orc that I killed immediately by throwing a knife to his head. I took it back and ran as quickly as I could again.
I saw Legolas standing at dwarves heads, and laughed. He always liked to show off. I took my spear and throwed it at an orc that nearly attacked Legolas. The dwarves were helping too, and I was so grateful for that.
After a bit, my shortcut ended, and I was waiting for them a bit further. I killed orcs that waited here for the dwarves. Then I saw the barrels, and Legolas stopped next to me. We looked at them as they swam away. I sighed deeply, and my friend put a hand on my shoulder. We saw Tauriel behind us, and she joined us.
••
I decided to follow the dwarves into the Laketown. I jumped on the roofs of the houses, seeking the house with the dwarves in it. I jumped off the roof when I saw the correct one. I knocked on the door.
- Who is that?
- I hope not anyone who can kill us...
I heard mumbled voices, but then the door opened. I saw a tall man with dark hair.
- How can I help you?
He asked.
- I'm here to help your guests.
- But I don't have any-
He didn't finish, and I saw a head popping out from the room inside.
- (Y/n)?
Fíli said, and I smiled. The man let me go inside, and I walked up to the blond dwarf. I handed him the knife I took from him earlier with a smile.
- I think I took it from you.
I said, and he grabbed his weapon, smiling warmly. Fíli opened his mouth to say something, but then I heard loud groans of pain. I quickly excused myself and walked up to Kíli who was lying on the table, pale as a ghost. I looked at him, scared and worried.
- Please tell me you can help him..
Said the old dwarf and I looked with a sad look, shaking my head.
- But I know who can.
I said and quickly ran outside and jumped on the roof. I grabbed a horn that Tauriel gave me. She told me to use it in case of emergency. It is only heard for elves, so no one track us. I blowed the air inside it and waited.
After 5 minutes, I saw Tauriel making her way to me. We jumped off the roof, and she looked at Kíli. She told us to find some herb, which we did find after a while.
While Kíli was kicking around, we held him, and Tauriel did an elves' magic on him, bringing him back to health. I sighed in relief. I felt a hand wrap around mine and looked at the owner of it. It was Fíli who had a really concerned look on his face while looking at his brother. I rubbed my thumb on his knuckles to comfort him a bit.
Then we heard a loud thund. I immediately ran outside and stood next to a dead orc body. I looked around and saw that Legolas was shooting at the most enemies. I pulled my knives out, but in the corner of my eye, I saw Fíli taking his dagger out too. I turned around and looked at him.
- Fíli.. Take care of your brother.. He needs you now..
I said, putting my hand on his shoulder. He looked deeply into my eyes.
- But you also need me..
He said, pushing through me and walking outside. He killed one orc and I smiled.
- Tauriel! Please take care of them.
I said in elvish. She looked at me and nodded. I ran outside to follow Fíli. We fought side by side. We knew what we were doing, like we knew each other for our whole lives.
When town was clear (or we thought so), we saw a dragon up in the sky, blowing fire. We started running away. I put my hand inside Fíli's and tried helping civilians run away and save their lifes.
When we got on the coast, we saw Bard trying to shoot the dragon, which he did. He killed him. The monster flew up into the sky and fell down with a huge impact.
We started cheering. The Smaug was dead. I looked at Fíli who looked so happy that I couldn't even describe it. He looked at our intertwined hands and then at my face. He wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled me closer. I blushed while looking down at him.
- I thought you said you weren't going anywhere..
I said with a pout, remembering their swim in the river. He chuckled and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.
- Well... I'm here now..
We leaned closer to each other, our noses touching and eyes closed. We were like this for a few seconds before I decided to press my lips to his. He seemed amazed at my action, but quickly kissed me back. He put his hand behind my head, pulling me closer. My arms wrapped around his shoulders.
We pulled away when we heard people shouting with enthusiasm. I looked into the direction of people's looks and saw Bard from the distance.

Heya Lovie , hope you're doing well😁
I'm obsessed with the idea that Maeglin didn't actually love Idril romantically and it was a rumour made to villainize him to cover up the fact her husband killed him ... I did see a post on it hence why I'm obsessed with it but your thoughts on that?
Second- Maeglin request please if you don't mind 😅 but my idea is a human comes to Gondolin for..whatever reason maybe a black Smith in training? And hence forth maeglin is assigned their mentor. But just said human trying to hide their feelings because insecurity is massive thanks to them gorgeous elves and their annoyingly good looks. I am liking the idea they're a male , even more reason to hide their feelings cause humans don't really accept gay relationships , specially in those times, so safe to assume that elves don't either (but they do thanks to love binds by the soul and not the body of said soul) so just fluff and some young love panic . I completely understand if you don't want to do the whole gay thing, gender neutral is perfect aswell. Take care 💕

featuring maeglin x male reader
fandom tolkien- the silmarillion
warnings ooc, shitty writing. . . and what not
a/n am sorry. . .
You carefully tried to do as Maeglin had instructed you - feeling a little nervous with every move.
You hoped you weren’t too obvious on how you continuously looked at him.
It was because you couldn’t help yourself - from gazing at the tall and dark haired ellon in front of you.
He was assigned as your mentor the moment you show interest in smith work.
It was rather kind of king Turgon to take in your poor shivering human male soul from unkind lands.
It was common knowledge that the wise king did let almost anyone into his hidden kingdom - to say you were lucky were an understatement.
“Careful!”
Maeglin ordered - keeping you away from the sparks that soared from the fire.
Your heart couldn’t help the involuntary leap it had done when he had put himself in between the fire and yourself - pulling you beside him as it soared.
Maeglin never ceased to mesmerize you everyday with skills and abilities as a smith.
It was rather both inspiring as well as mesmerizing - it had only made you fall deeper for him.
But sadly you knew the case - not only were you a human, but a male. . . besides the young prince had already set his sights on the princess of Gondolin.
She was rather beautiful with her long golden-like hair that seemed to sparkle and tint like of a jewel - and her eyes of deep blue could draw anyone in.
Not only herself - but every elleth and ellon present in your sights only made you question deeper about yourself.
You felt fat and frumpy in the sights of such beauty that left your eyes wide in wonder.
But out of all elves present - especially among the males of course - the only one that truly caught your attention had been Maeglin.
WIth his broody and silent nature - with sharp stares and careful gazes he managed to capture you in at once without taking too long.
You had not meant to fall for the ellon - you had known how humans alone in your village had felt about same sex couples.
Therefore - you could not even begin to think on how elves would react towards it.
So you kept it down - ignoring the hurt that caged your heart every time you spotted Maeglin’s eyes linger on Princess Idril.
But even as you did - everything he said or did, like for example now how he pulled you behind him to protect yourself from the fire - the more you fell and the harder it was for you to suppress your feelings towards him.
It was getting harder and harder day by day to be around him as he mentored you.
Therefore finally you had decided to let it go - for the sake of further humiliation and the ache of your heart you let go of your passion of smithing.
So Maeglin no longer needed to mentor you - and you no longer needed to face him every day.
Your hands delicately brushed over the small metal tag chain necklace you made - it had both your own name and Maeglin’s name carved on it.
It was something you made yourself - sure as you were still learning there were a few dents and misshapes but it was still worth it for you.
You had made it when Maeglin was away with king Turgon in his gardens and was not able to mentor you one day.
While it may never happen - at least you were free to dream about it right?
Then suddenly your door slammed open - making you jump from the edge of the bed where you were sitting. You instantly hid the chain necklace.
If looks could kill you would be 10 feet under the ground right now - because of how Maeglin glared as he walked over to you.
He reached within milliseconds because of his long strides and you did not even have time to react.
“You could have knocked…”
You said quietly.
“I rather not have - considering how my student failed to attend his class today.”
Maeglin’s deep voice rumbled - making you shiver.
“I had informed the king I will no longer be attending smithwork.”
You said - looking at your feet.
“Yes - I’m aware you informed my ever wise uncle but you did not inform me - nor did you give him my uncle a valid reasoning - therefore I do not approve of you quitting!”
Maeglin said.
It was the first time you had seen Maeglin react like so - usually he was quiet and reserved but this was like he was speaking before thinking like he usually does.
It means you had struck hard to make Maeglin mad enough to behave like so.
“I apologize for not coming to you. . .”
You offered a straight heartfelt apology - keeping the chain necklace clasped in your hands and hidden behind you.
Maeglin looked surprised - even a soft red tinge appeared suddenly on his cheeks as he blinked and cleared his throat, looking both shameful and awkward.
“. . .Why have you quit?”
He asked instead - from the sound of his tone, it was easy to tell he had wondered about it too many times and had been trying to hide it.
But emotions had been something Maeglin always struggled with - either he wouldn’t come to terms with something, or other times he never understood what they meant.
“I do. . . - I do not have the passion for it, no more. . .”
You sighed with a gulp - your hands clasping tighter around the necklace.
“I do not believe that for a second!”
Maeglin declared - making you shocked for a moment.
You only frowned at him.
Then Maeglin tried to peek behind you.
“What is it you hold behind you?”
Your eyes widened and your clasped the necklace tighter.
“Nothing of which concerns the matter.”
You tried to put out formally - then stepped backwards as Maeglin took a step towards you.
Maeglin narrowed his eyes - staring into your eyes as if debating on something in this mind.
This seemed to be the Maeglin you knew  - the one who was careful and calculated, who needed time to formulate his thoughts into words as he stared at the person he wished to speak with.
Others found it uncomfortable - you did too at first - but later realized it was how he was able to function.
This time however - he swiftly reached behind you.
With this elvish swiftness you didn’t even have the time to react as he quickly grabbed the chain necklace off your hands and dangled it above your head reading engraving on it.
You gasped trying to reach for it - but Maeglin kept it away from your grasp.
“What is this?”
He asked incredulously.
Your heart couldn’t but beat painfully fast.
You managed to grab it back and turned away from him - he probably felt so disgusted.
Tears had pricked the corners of your eyes.
“Nothing!”
“Let me see. . .”
Maeglin offered - feeling awkward and guilty at the sight of your tears.
“No - you should leave. . .”
You whimpered.
Maeglin gulped.
“Please. . .Y/N - I did not mean to offend you. . .It does-”
“It does not matter, please leave. . .”
You said starting to cry, your heart aching.
Maeglin fisted and unfisted his hands - before he harshly turned away slammed your door shut behind him as you cried.
— — —
It has been a week since the incident. You had been in the gardens - randomly walking thinking of what to do with your life since you already gave up your passion for smithing.
Then sooner or later become the gossip in the hidden city.
You had thought of leaving - but you knew yourself walking outside these borders was a death sentence in a literal format.
You sat near the fountain leaning against it.
It was no use crying - you already did that a few times, no point in wasting another round of tears that can’t help anything.
You leaned back further - when you suddenly felt something odd against your head.
You turned your head to see a chain necklace hanging off the edge of the fountain.
You frowned and took it in your hands softly.
There was a centre stone - pendent necklace - and it had been your birthstone.
Your frown only deepened - then you turned it as you felt something engraved in the back of it in Sindarin.
You couldn’t understand it - but you obviously made out your name and Maeglin’s, making your eyes widen.
“From me to you, Y/N. Yours, Maeglin. . .”
Suddenly - you heard his name, making your head snap up at him.
Your eyes were still wide and unbelieving as Maeglin awkwardly shifting from one foot to another.
“May I sit?”
He asked - when you didn’t respond.
You gulped and nodded.
Maeglin sat down close to you - sending you a disapproving gaze and looked so much like King Turgon’s scowl as you tried to scoot away.
You sighed staying put.
Either of you spoke for a long time - simply staring ahead.
“You know. . .it is frowned upon. . .and perhaps even wrong. . .”
You bit your lip saying it.
“What is?”
Maeglin frowned.
“Two males. . .in a relationship. . .”
You struggled to stay.
Maeglin didn’t say anything for a moment.
“I have given it thought and I do not see any wrong in us. . .”
He tried to say.
But you shook your head.
“Mae. . .It is frowned upon. They will not accept it. We will be disowned, mocked and gossip.”
You softly said.
“Why do you think they will not accept? Humans do not accept this form of relationship?”
Maeglin frowned - some bit of fury in him rising.
“No. I presume the same for elves.”
You frowned.
“Sure. . .It may not be common and I have not seen another couple such as this. . . but Gondolin will accept us. . .”
Maeglin promised you.
“How?”
You frowned deeper.
“Because elves do not care for what body your lover is, meleth. . .we love and cherish through souls. . .that is love. . .and that is what my mother has taught me. . .”
He said quietly and softly - still having a hard time talking about his mother.
You blinked, sighing. You were scared that you will not lie about.
“Are you sure. . .they will not. . .”
You struggled to say the words.
“Trust me. . .”
Maeglin whispered and you nodded.
Then he leaned forward - pressing his lips against your lips calming the anxiety in your heart and soul. . .
Maeglin was right. . . this was love through the souls. . .
