My favourite thing about Turgon are the seven increasingly spectacular gates he built along the entrance to his city that no one’s supposed to find anyway.

Broke: Gondolin was a serious, conservative, prudish city.

Woke: The Gondolindrim were stuck in one city for 400-ish years with no Morgoth threatening them and basically nothing do to. If anyone in Middle-Earth was entertaining themselves with festivals and ragers, it was them. We're talking drunken moshpits, people getting thrown into fountains, endless romantic intrigue between most of the Lords, the whole nine yards.

Bespoke: The Gondolindrim were party animals but they all agreed that what happens in Gondolin stays in Gondolin and never talked about the parties after the fall; which is why Gondolin gets a reputation for being so serious and boring. Most of the Gondolindrim, and especially Turgon, think this is hilarious.

Raw sketch of Glorfindel. The helmet totally inspired by Alan Lee's illustration. The armor piece was inspired by flower petals, I think it looks ugly. But however this is just the beginning, I'm still trying to invent a more believable-looking armor. More updates soon

Ahhh first post on Tumblr (*nervous chuckles*), a Glorthelion fan art for one of my favorite talented writers @a-tehta !

After reading the amazing fic "Sparring" on my bday (yes I'm the same birthday girl in the comment lol), I just couldn't stop imagining their first night on the ship & how great it would feel again to be able to snuggle together after centuries separation😍! So I just have to draw it down (*chuckles again*)

Can you all guess that I like elves or do I need to make more elf related art? In any case, do expect more of it. Anyhow, I am a day late to wish Tolkien a happy birthday, so I hope this can serve as an apology! Happy Tolkien day! Also first post of 2025, woooho

This post goes in appreciation of Ulmo. I think that Ulmo doesn't get the praise he deserves, he was the only Vala who never gave up on elves and men and loved them greatly. Unlike his brothers, he never hid himself behind the pélori, instead chose to stay on the sea and rivers, watching closely over the children of Iluvatar, helping them every time he could. He always felt compassion towards them and held hope that they could do the right thing.

If you ask me, he is the one who deserves to be the king of the Valar instead of Manwë.
