life lately is filled with lots of studying via practice questions and breaks filled with books and crafts and baking! i currently have a pleasant board exam study schedule that consists of a nice slow morning with a matcha latte and some reading, completing 160 practice questions, then relaxing the rest of the evening with the usual hobbies like reading, crocheting and knitting, cross-stitching, etc. recently i’ve read the idiot by elif batuman, berlin by bea setton, and now i’m reading either/or (sequel to the idiot) by myself and the thursday murder club by richard osman with my boyfriend. overall having a much better time studying for step 2 than for step 1!

Přednostka ústavu ráno na patofyziologii: Dneska po přednášce bude pan profesor zpívat koledy.

Přednášku měla jeho manželka, vstoupí profesor.

Manželka, podrážděně: Říkal jsi že přijdeš až ve čtvrt!

Manžel, zvesela: No já se nemohl dočkat! Tak já si sem sednu ještě…

Když jeho žena skončila, pustil si tam prezentaci s notama, a opravdu, zpívalo se.

Po pár koledách na nás kouká: Vy jste ale dobrej ročník!

Nevím kdy naposledy jsem zpívala koledy a vlastně jsem doteď nezaregistrovala že je prosinec a budou Vánoce, ale tahle akce byla fakt boží!

Café hopping on a cloudy weekend day.

Savoring my full weekend off & tackling some research-related work that I’m getting involved in now that I’m halfway through intern year.

1. Read through project proposals & pick 1 (2, perhaps?) to get involved in

2. Start reading articles for lit review, perform another search of the literature, & start outlining lit review

3. Wrap up initial stage of QI project & submit first steps of implementation plan
