I feel so lacking even though I hit my goal. I was excited at first but after 31 days I would've hoped I could've lost more. Should I be more aggressive towards myself?

Femme Fatale Guide: Healthy Habits To Look & Feel Your Best Without Restriction or Unrealistic Routines
Realistic ways to maintain a healthy life/body/appearance (size and weight are all personal, not the most important metric – for certain). No diet culture or delulu-land tips here.
What I've done to maintain my 30-pound weight loss for over a decade, glowing clear skin (no pimples or discoloration, etc.), and super healthy, full & shiny hair, still living life and enjoying it – the mindful way.
Eat home-cooked meals & (plant-based) whole foods – 90-95% of the time
Incorporate at least 1 salad into my daily routine (either a large, hearty lunch salad or a simple green salad as a starter with dinner)
Include at least 1 fruit/vegetable in every meal or snack
Never restrict food groups – whole grains/potatoes, healthy fats, protein-rich plant foods, and produce are all essential to consume every day
Focus on meals, but have whole food snack options on hand to enjoy if genuinely hungry (mainly fruit, lupini beans, edamame, carrots/celery/cucumber with hummus, plain popcorn, handful of almonds/cashews)
Have breakfast after one coffee (before a second) and have dinner late enough (8-9:30 pm) to curb late-night hunger
Only have fruit and tea after dinner; Always stop consuming food at least 3 hours before bed for better sleep/digestion
Order whatever I want when going out to eat, but split dessert
Have at least one indulgent meal/dessert per week
No sugary cocktails – wine, champagne/prosecco, martinis, gin & tonic, margarita, French Connection, Sambuca, Grappa, tequila on the rocks, etc. are great options. Bellinis/fruit plus wine/spirits cocktails are a good middle ground. Sugary drinks worsen the hangover – big-time
Perceive healthy eating as a form of enjoyment, creativity, and nourishment, not restriction or deprivation (it's not if done liberally enough)
Consume a vitamin B12 and vitamin D supplement daily. Keep digestive enzymes on hand for when they're necessary
Always have a large glass of water first thing in the morning (before coffee) and by my side all day long
No soda, juices, sugary drinks, etc. Black coffee, tea, and water only on the daily – wine and no-sugar alcoholic drinks on rare occasions. Smoothies can be a great snack or breakfast, though!
Incorporate an (almost) daily walk into my schedule as a form of exercise and a mental health reset (I aim for 4-5 miles/10Kish steps per day on average)
Do short, low-impact strengthen training exercises 3x a week (15-30 mins each usually) for bone health & toning
Never forcing myself to do strenuous exercise/workout formally in a gym – it's not for me; it doesn't make me feel/look better and throws my hunger & energy levels way off. To each their own, though
Have a variety of playlists ready to go for waking up, working, dancing, walking/workouts, doing chores, and reading/relaxing
Internalizing that sexual health is a core aspect of your health & well-being – on all counts
Maintaining a simple skincare routine 2x per week with high-quality products and a couple of weekly treatments
Prioritizing my body care routine with as much as my facial skincare routine
Wearing at least SPF 30 daily
Exfoliating 2-3x per week
Learning what hair products work for my hair type; Using a deep conditioning mask and a scalp mask weekly
Using only cold water when washing my hair
Incorporating face & body massages into my weekly at-home routine
Using Uriage lip balm, hand cream, and deodorant religiously
Flossing 1-2 times a day/using an electric toothbrush

Zero
I have sooo many low calorie food brands, but time for a ZERO calorie edition
Idk how i NEVER see posts about walden farms, they literally have almost EVERYTHINGG FOR ZERO CALS!!! BUT, be wary bc some of their stuff aren’t that tasty. I’ve tried the honey dijon dressing, which i’ve never even tried the normal ones and it was actually super good! I didn’t like the ranch dressing. I also tried the chipotle ranch one it was also good! Again BUT, one of the ingredients i found in those is titanium dioxide, which can cause cancer. Obviously i feel like that’s in insaneee amounts, so moderation is key🤷♀️ i’ve also tried their coffee creamers, chocolate, pumpkin spice, hazelnut, peppermint mocha, vanilla, and lemme just say at first i was kinda like yikes… but then i got used to it and its actually super good! I would recommend to only use a little cuz i accidentally put a lot one time and it was just WAY too much. Again, moderation. I haven’t tried any other products that i can remember so lmk if you guys try any of them!! Btw these only show the categories there are so many varieties.
Syrup, i haven’t used this and it’s just a tad pricey, but looks good and i would like to try for my coffee! If i get this i’ll do a lil review.
I LOVEEEE chai lattes but they are SO calorie dense. This one is 0!!! And it’s honestly pretty sweet for me, for it being sugar free. Like its the perfect amount. Idk, sugar free items taste exactly the same or even better than the original personally, and feels better bc if i eat any sugar i feel so gross. Maybe i’ve just gotten used to it or something but yeah
Last but not least the classic ol’ diet coke. So yummy keeps you full for a while/curbs appetite and tastes the same if not better than the original. Again, i normally prefer sugar free stuff bc it tastes better in my opinion, it doesn’t taste any different or worse. And normal coca cola has like 30g of sugar that is CRAZY. Also way too many cals.
Again, i found all of these items on the walmart WEBSITE, including a lot of the walden farms products. But some may charge shipping so maybe try finding it on amazon but keep scrolling to find the cheapest options. I <3 zero cal foods

Healthy - Platin
Introduction to healthy snacks and their importance in a balanced diet Healthy snacks play a crucial role in maintaining a balanced diet and promoting overall health. These snacks are typically nutrient-dense and provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support optimal bodily functions. They are also low in added sugars, unhealthy fats, and artificial ingredients, making them a healthier alternative to processed snacks. By incorporating healthy snacks into our daily diet, we can ensure that our bodies receive the necessary nutrients to thrive. Benefits of including healthy snacks in daily diet Including healthy snacks in our daily diet offers numerous benefits. Firstly, they provide a steady source of energy throughout the day, preventing dips in blood sugar levels and helping to maintain focus and productivity. Additionally, healthy snacks can improve nutrient intake, as they often contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that may be lacking in other meals. Snacking on nutritious foods can also help curb cravings for unhealthy options, reducing the likelihood of overeating or making poor food choices. Role of healthy snacks in weight management and overall health Healthy snacks can play a significant role in weight management and overall health. When chosen wisely, they can help control hunger and prevent overeating during main meals. Snacks that are high in fiber and protein can increase feelings of fullness and promote satiety, reducing the desire to consume excessive calories. Additionally, incorporating healthy snacks into a balanced diet can support weight loss efforts by providing essential nutrients while keeping calorie intake in check. Moreover, healthy snacks are often associated with the Mediterranean diet, keto diet which has been widely recognized for its numerous health benefits. This diet emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats, such as those found in nuts and seeds. Studies have shown that following a Mediterranean diet can help prevent heart disease, improve brain health, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. By choosing healthy snacks that align with the principles of the Mediterranean diet, individuals can further enhance their overall health and well-being.

48. Weigh yourslef before and after every time you eat. Not only will it eliminate unnecessary eating, but it will make you want to eat less when you see the numbers creep up.
49. Read the nutritional information. Remember, fat-free does not mean calorie-free. Also keep an eye on fiber content. Get as much fiber into your diet as you can, while cutting fat and calories.
50. Don’t eat a lot at once. Spread your food throughout the day. This will help to avoid binging and keep your metabolism going.
51. If you like to drink alcohol, you’ll like this. Make a rule: You can only drink every time you lose 2lbs. So, if you lose 4lbs a week, you can drink Friday and Saturday night. However, if you only lose 2lbs a week, you only get to drink one night.
52. Do not eat in front of the computer or TV. This distracts you from recognizing you’re full.
53. Save the money you would have spent on that meal in a jar. Save it in a bottle instead and watch it grow.
54. Stay away from Slim-fast and other so-called “healthy” candy bars and shakes… one look at the nutition facts will tell you why. With all the carbs and excess calories you may as well go eat a freakin pie or something. Not to mention the rediculous prices… save yourself the money, and the calories.
55. Instead of buying food, buy yourself flowers. Food is depressing, but flowers make you happy.
56. When having cravings drink a couple glasses of water with slices of lemons and count to 100 and it should go away.
57. Eating 100 cals 4 times a day is better than eating a 400 cal meal.
58. An occasional binge doesn’t hurt, in fact it’s quite beneficial if you have reached a plateau (stopped losing weight). Your body will think you have stopped starving yourself, and you will drop at least a pound overnight! Just don’t binge too regularly!
59. Someone told me that if you take a pure cold bath for 15-30 min and lower your body temp, your body burns around 200 cals for every degree it has to raise itself to reach a normal body temperture. This person tried it, a 30 min bath lowered their temp about 3-4 degrees

how to reduce acne (and what is acne)
acne is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. it typically results in whiteheads, blackheads or pimples that can appear on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. acne is most prevalent among teens but can affect people of all ages. several factors contribute to acne, such as excess oil production, buildup of dead skin cells, bacterial growth and inflammation.
acne is not inherently 'bad' but it is a source of discomfort for many people. while acne itself is not a bad thing, it can lead to potential complications if not managed properly, such as scarring or emotional distress.
when reading this post, it is important to remember that everyone's skin is different and what works for one person may not work for another. i'd like to add that i am not a dermatologist, and this post is written with my own experience in mind as well as research online.
reducing acne involves a combination of skincare practices and lifestyle adjustments. here are some recommended actions:
properly wash your face cleanse your face twice daily to remove excess oil, sweat and dirt. some common face washing mistakes include using the wrong cleanser, over-washing your face, under-washing your face, the wrong water temperature and using a dirty washcloth. don't worry if this all seems confusing, here's a post on how to properly wash your face.
know your skin type use products suitable for your skin type only--oily, dry, combination or sensitive. you can find this out by visiting a dermatologist or (alternatively) researching the skin types and seeing which best matches your skin.
moisturise moisturiser curbs dryness, which balances oil production in your face and therefore helps to prevent acne. choose a non-comedogenic moisturiser to not clog your pores.
consider over-the-counter treatments think about acne treatments with ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
stay hydrated drink plenty of water to maintain skin hydration. good hydration helps to maintain skin elasticity, supports the skin's protective functions and prevents sunburn, sensitivity and oiliness. women should drink about 2.7L of fluids every day (including water, other beverages and food).
limit makeup use minimal makeup and ensure that it is non-comedogenic. don't stop wearing makeup if it is something you enjoy, however, try to limit it in acne-strong areas.
don't touch your face this is a big one, and yet so many people do it. keep your hands away from your face to prevent the spread of bacteria. seriously, you use your hands for so much--you don't want the germs of everything you've touched on your face.
limit sun exposure protect your skin with appropriate sunscreen. and remember to re-apply! limiting sun exposure also reduces skin cancer risk. balance is key, though, because the sun is necessary for vitamin d production and maintaining circadian rhythms.
exercise regularly physical activity can help reduce stress, which may contribute to acne.
enjoy a healthy diet eating a well-balanced diet can support skin health. consider reducing dairy and high glycemic foods. a diet with a low glycemic index may help balance hormone levels, which is the same effect when insulin spikes occur less. essential nutrients promote skin health and help to repair and maintain the skin barrier.
invest in stress management find ways to reduce stress, such as journaling or going for a walk. stress can worsen acne. this is because, under stress, the body's healing process slows down, meaning acne can take longer to heal and become more severe. stress hormones can also increase oil production, leading to clogged pores.

Hi friends. I’m 21F and have been struggling with my body image since 2009 which led me to develop anorexia around 2014. I’ve been struggling ever since and have tried every trick and diet out there but have finally settled on my own so I thought I’d share it. First of all, recovery is a lie. There was a point in my life where I fully recovered but made me fat… it was nice not to worry about calories and all that but the pros outweigh the cons of an ED if done correctly. So think of your ED as a lifelong friend. In order to have an ED successfully for a long period of time you must go about it healthily. I know this is somewhat contradictory. I’m gonna include just some general tips, advice, and food alternatives. In a separate post I’ll be listing my favorite low kcal recipes so stay tuned.
~
GENERAL TIPS
•Drink water before, during, and after meals. This is absolutely crucial.
•During this period it’s important to spend extra time and effort on maintaining your vaginal health, immune system, fertility, and skincare !! Really important not to neglect these things especially vaginal care >.<
•Calories matter but make sure to eat nutritious foods. Must have a good judgment on when to splurge on kcals or when to go for an alternative. For ex: splurging on healthy foods that are a lot of kcals vs unhealthy processed foods that are low kcal.
•It’s good to strive for 1200 kcals or less. If it’s a cheat day or you’re feeling lenient then aim for around 1600 kcals. Never ever go over 2000 kcals.
•if you’re a foodie like me then you *have* to find creative and unique ways to curb your cravings. Otherwise your mental health will plummet. If you’re not satisfied then you’re either gonna keep eating or be miserable
•Remember your brain needs at least 330 kcals to function properly so if you’re feeling slow or disoriented then definitely have a snack or meal.
•Best drinks to have are water, sparkling water, tea, and coffee.
•If you eat over your calorie limit don’t fret, it’s not the end of the world. Just either work out or purge. Keep purging to a limit and don’t do it more than once a day. Ideally less purging is better so keep it for emergencies.
•Using apps such as my fitness pal are great for seeing what nutrients you’re deficient in or going overboard in. However I’ve found I lose more weight when I’m not using the app because I’m thinking about food less. However everybody is different and I would recommend at least checking out the application if you haven’t already.
•Vitamins are your bestie too!! I take a couple supplements to make sure I’m getting the vitamins I need for longevity.
•Cut down on silly calories like sauces and drinks by using alternatives. Also you can pretty much find a low kcal version of anything these days if you look hard enough.
•If you love flavor then these simple things will help like ~ seasoning, low kcal hot sauce such as Tabasco or sriracha, soy sauce, etc.
~
CRAVING ALTERNATIVES
•Juice or sugary drinks ~ low sugar Gatorade, fruit flavored teas iced with extra tea bags to give it extra flavor
•Soda ~ flavored sparkling water with powder or liquid drink mix such as crystal light strawberry lemonade drink mix
•Starbucks ~ just making my own mixed coffee drinks and sweet tea drinks saves so many calories
•Dessert ~ Gerber biscuits arrowroot (taste like shortbread), Gerber lil biscuits, cottage cheese, chocolate covered fruit or nuts
•Chips ~ Gerber’s Lil Crunchies Mild Chedder (basically cheese/ cheeto puffs), quest chips, or half a serving size of normal chips
•Ice cream ~ strawberry halo top
•Chocolate ~ alter eco or dark chocolate coconut fudge
•Mayo ~ miracle whip or vegan mayo
•Rice ~ cauliflower or broccoli rice
•Pasta ~ Chickpea pasta

ALL OF YOU | BRUCE WAYNE X PLUS SIZE GN! READER (FT. ALFRED)
୨୧ type: fluff & angst | word count: 887 | tw: sfw, mentions of bullying but no actual descriptions of what was said or done. please enjoy
→ please note that I don't think I've ever written anything for a gn reader before so if I messed anything up (like how i couldn't figure out what the gn alternative for master/miss is) I apologize
requested: omg okay, idk if you would want to write this but; since i can't find ANY battinson x plus size reader stuff, could i request a battinson x gn plus size reader where bruce discovers his partner being insecure about themselves and tries to cheer them up? this would be angst mixed with fluff if that's okay with you :>
Everything is fine, you told yourself.
The limo pulled away from the curb merging into early morning rush hour. The annual Wayne Foundation Ball had ran hours longer than you'd intended. And as host, you couldn’t leave early. No matter how much you'd wanted to. You relaxed into your lover's embrace, drinking in his cologne. Basking in his warmth. It was the most relaxed you'd felt all evening.
You were almost asleep when Bruce's voice dragged you back to reality. "What's wrong?"
You opened your eyes. "Nothing." You couldn't even manage a smile to better sell the lie.
Tonight was supposed to be your night. And they took it from you…
Bruce frowned. "Don't lie to me. We're better than that."
You were better than that. And now you had shame to add to the long list of emotions weighing you down.
They were just words. Everything is fine.
You buried your face in the crook of his neck. You didn't want to talk about it. Not with him. But you couldn't lie to him either.
Your fiancé kissed the top of your head, hugging you tighter. "Talk to me. Did someone hurt you? Did something happen?"
"It doesn't matter. It's not important."
"It's bothering you so it does matter and it is important. You've been talking non-stop about this Gala. You've been planning it for months. What happened?"
You pulled back to wet eyes and a broken smile. Bruce's jaw ticked, his expression chillingly blank. Bruce usually kept this side of himself hidden away from you. Was this the version of him that went out to hunt bad guys every night? Or was this just a small sliver of him?
"Sir, not to interrupt but would you like me to turn the car around?"
You'd forgotten the partition was down. Alfred's voice was low and clipped. Almost unrecognizable from the sassy, well-mannered man who'd been like a father to you over the past four years.
"I'll let you know." answered Bruce before returning his attention to you. "Please." he said softly.
You shook your head. "It's so silly. They were just words."
"What did they say? Who said it?"
You sighed heavily. He wasn't going to let this go. And it was stupid of you to try to hide it from him. The World's Greatest Detective… The World's Most Attentive Fiancé was more like it. "The…people at the gala were mean to me," you admitted in a small broken voice. You hated the way you sounded. You hated even more that you'd let it get to you. "There. I told you. They were mean to me tonight and they said awful things about my weight, how much I ate at dinner. One woman gave some diet pills she swears by in the bathroom. It shouldn't bother me. It's not like I haven't experienced this before. I am a plus-sized person, I know that but…I don't know. These people gather every year to give away exorbitant amounts of money to make Gotham a better, safer place to live. I don't know, I guess I just expected better. Dumb, I know."
"It's not dumb."
"But it is! Bruce, you put on a mask every night and go face down real villains. Real villains that cause real pain with real weapons."
Bruce's jaw dropped. It took a lot to shock him. "What does that have to do with anything?"
"It has to do with everything because they're just words, Bruce, not bullets! And I let them get to me. I've been miserable all night. That's why you caught me in the hallway tonight. I didn't get lost, I just got down crying in a broom closet and I was walking around and waiting for my eyedrops to kick in and hide the redness! Now, can we please just drop it and forget that this ever happened?"
"No we can't."
"Why not?"
"Because you feel like you can't confide in me just because of who I am and what I do at night. They're not just words, Y/N these people bullied you. You worked your ass off to make this Gala the success it was. We've never raised this much money in a single night before and it was because of you. Y/N I don't care how minor or unimportant you think it is. You don't have to get roundhouse kicked into a dumpster for your feelings to be valid."
You swallowed a laugh. "When in the world did you get roundhouse kicked into a dumpster?"
Bruce smiles. "That's the point. The point is your feelings are valid. And you can come to me with any of them."
"And I as well, *[Master/Miss] Y/N."
You breathed easy for the first time that night, And smiled for the first time that night. "Thank you. Both of you."
Bruce smiled back, pressing his forehead to yours. "Feel better?"
You nodded.
"Good. Because you're going to tell me the name of everyone who bothered you tonight. And then Batman is going to toilet paper their house and slash their fucking tires."
You barked out a laugh.
Bruce pulled you even closer leaving a trail of kisses from your temple to your collarbone. "You're perfect just the way you are, my heart. All of you."

What is your normal grocery list? I’m about to be living at a dorm and I am looking for stuff to stock up on, I can’t really keep frozen foods though
i actually dont even cook all that much so i dont keep a lot of frozen foods either. this is my regular list when i go, usually weekly.
FASTING FOODS
okay so youre probably like. raine you arent supposed to eat anything when you fast. hear me out bc this is how i consistently fast a 20-4 schedule everyday, with a lot less binges than before, AND getting all of the benefits of fasting. and yeah, i still binge from time to time, but my binges are far less because my stomach actually cannot handle being fed over 1000 calories anymore, especially not all at once.
these are my ESSENTIALS so theyre pretty much the only things i consistently buy weekly.
cucumbers
chicken broth (0cal kind)
seaweed snacks
pickled ginger
tea (any, but i like trying new flavors ! my favorite is lemon ginger because it helps digestion, and green tea because it speeds up your metabolism. also a lot healthier than diet coke with the same amount of caffeine, also less likely to spike your blood sugar and kick you out of ketosis- which will make your cravings for food much worse)
...dont get me wrong i couldnt live without diet coke. but sometimes ill go for the healthier option.
why i eat these foods while i fast
these are foods that have extremely low cals and carbs (like less than 2 grams per/serving) so they wont kick you out of ketosis (which is the major benefit to fasting, where your body burns fat at a higher rate). when youre in ketosis, your body stops sending you as many cravings, which is why sometimes it feels easier to fast 24 hours after you last ate as opposed to 3 hours.
because i spend the majority of my time fasting, (and i would never be able to do that without these foods) i go through these items pretty quick.
but otherwise i only have to buy other healthy foods on a biweekly or even monthly basis, because i wont eat them as fast ! heres some things i rotate through depending on how sick of them i am lol.
regular food
built bars - essential for me. tons of protein, less sugar than other bars, and relatively low cal.
somebody on here introduced me to these and im soo glad they did. i dont remember who but if youre seeing this ilysm.
tuna creations packets - rly good for on the go, tons of flavors, lots of protein so they're really filling for only being 70-90cals depending on the flavor
blueberries + apples - so hard to over eat these two items, plus fiber
rice cakes - self explanatory
pistachios or sunflower seeds - great for curbing hunger, but im a little sick of them rn
a low cal air popped popcorn - i forget which brand i have rn, but its pretty good and has a lot of fiber.
chobani yogurt + yogurt protein drinks (50cal) - the fact that these r 50cals amaze me for how good they taste. the yogurt drinks are my favorite bc theres actually a shit ton of protein and taste pretty good without actually having to make myself a protein shake. the cookies and cream and peaches and cream are my favorites ive tried. good for breaking a fast with.
thats all i can think of atm ! sry for the fucking essay i hope this was a little helpful at least.
typing this out manically made me realize im a little crazy. i cant say with my whole chest that you should listen to me and my d1sordered thoughts, but i think everyone on here knows that already so... uh
please be kind to yourselves. take ur vitamins (even while fasting) i genuinely love you all every one of you fucked up bitches like me.
goodnight <3

BONUS [ RP STONT ] — the publicity date
minji and y/n’s first (not) date.
WARNINGS ; mentions of diet and calories, self comparisons
[DECEMBER 5, 2022. 9:36PM]
y/n sat quietly, watching as hybe’s company car left the two girls at the niche cafe that she had been to since she was a trainee (she should have never mentioned it to her manager).
the vents blew cold air, and it was as if reality hit her. this ‘was an actual thing 'date’, the one that she had to do with the person who reminded her of everything she wasn’t, she had been made to do this by her company. she had to sit here and pretend to be friendly with the girl who has and could probably ruin her life again.
the idol looked around, spotting a cameraman eating what looked to be street food on the side of the curb, and a woman sitting a couple tables behind her and minji.
y/n turned back around. she wondered if she should actually talk to minji since they would be stuck here for the next hour or two. it wouldn’t physically hurt to talk to the younger girl, but it would definitely hurt her pride.
she watched her, noticing that minji was looking at her phone with a worried expression.
she cleared her throat, hesitantly asking, “are you okay?”
“my kid’s trapped in the washroom.” minji blurted out, her eyes terrified. she completely forgot to tell danielle that she was in charge while she was out. the last time that had happened, haerin had managed to get hyein’s arm stuck in the vent.
they had to call their manager and a fire department to fix the situation.
y/n’s eyes widened as minji continued to explain. “i think hanni locked her in there.”
y/n blinked at her, not really knowing what to say.
“what?”
minji swallowed, picking up her phone as it pinged again. “nevermind.”
y/n scratched her head as she pulled out her phone, updating her members before setting it back down. this was awkward (and the comment from earlier had thrown her off for a loop), and not the usual 'i hate you’ type of awkward, but the 'what do i do?’ type of awkward.
she looked at a worried minji’s scrunched-up face. the older idol smiled lightly. she hated to admit that she found minji irritatingly cute at times. it wasn’t fair that she hated someone so pretty.
she took a deep breath, trying to push her pride down just like chaewon had taught her before. she just needed to be civil. that was all.
minji, however, beat her to it.
“um,” minji cleared her throat, an awkward smile on her face as she clutched her phone. “what drink are you going to order?”
y/n looked at her closely, trying to wonder what the girl’s motive was. the minji she knew wouldn’t be this nice… would she?
she watched as minji smiled awkwardly, waiting for the older girl to say something.
“probably a frappucino,” y/n replied.
minji nodded, looking as if she was dying to get rid of the tension between the two. the leader had never been good at keeping cool in situations like these.
y/n took a breath, deciding to humor the situation. if she was gonna be stuck doing this every other week or so, she needed to make being around minji bearable.
“what about you?”
minji looked at her for a moment, shocked that y/n actually responded with something that wasn’t a sneer or a glare. she couldn’t believe hanni was right (and she hated it).
“probably an iced americano.” minji nodded, picking on her phone as she watched a waiter pass by. “you know, it’s low on calories.”
“you shouldn’t be worried about that.” y/n said without thinking. minji felt a blush spread across her face. “i mean, this situation’s already stressful enough. just get what you want.”
“it’s not that easy.” minji shook her head, frowning at the simple thought.
“yes, it is.” y/n scoffed, watching as the girl in front of her glared in disbelief. “calories are just numbers. yunjin-unnie taught me that.”
“but—”
“you shouldn’t be such a kiss ass to heejin-nim.” y/n spat out. she watched as minji recoiled, realizing that she fell back into the habit of getting angry at minji. y/n took a deep breath. “diets are stupid anyways.”
minji didn’t know why she felt flattered. y/n wasn’t usually this harsh with her words, but minji couldn’t help but feel like the older girl meant it with worry. maybe minji was reading into it too much because y/n was finally trying(?). either way, the leader felt herself staring at y/n as a camera flashed outside the window.
they looked at each other, both holding back a sigh.
“is the frappucino here good?” minji asked.
y/n felt pride in her chest. “it’s not bad.”
minji watched as the older girl tried to push down a real, genuinely happy smile. she had never seen that on y/n before, at least not because of her.
a feeling spread across her body, but minji couldn’t tell what.
“i see.” minji nodded.
minji grabbed her phone, on her way to text who y/n assumed was hyein (minji’s 'kid’?).
to y/n, hyein had always been someone she knew looked up to her. the young girl would follow her around back during their trainee days, only to be scolded by haerin about the importance of space (something y/n greatly appreciated).
and hanni… well, y/n already knew much about her.
minji quickly looked up as a waiter briefly passed them. luckily, it caught his attention, and the waiter paitently waited as minji scanned the on-table menu in front of them.
“can we get two frappucinos,” minji pointed, looking through her options. two items caught her eye, something that she knew y/n would’ve been familiar with. “two grilled cheese sandwiches and a blueberry muffin?”
the waiter nodded, quickly scurrying off as minji looked up from the table to find y/n extremely flustered.
minji looked at her curiously.
“you remembered my usual when i was a trainee?” y/n asked, covering her face as she spoke. she bit her tongue, trying not to smile at the almost sweet (maybe even romantic?) gesture.
“it’s not that hard to memorize.” minji shrugged, wondering why it was such a big deal to the girl. “you always ate the same thing each day.”
“yeah, well…” y/n looked away, a part of her now feeling guilty about her treatment to the girl.
she quickly shook it off, realizing that now was not a good time to deal with something like this. she was here on a publicity date, not to think about her deeper thoughts with someone who reminded her of who she should’ve become.
y/n stared at minji who watched as the waiters passed their table.
“how’s it like?” y/n asked, minji’s head snapping towards the girl. “in new jeans, i mean.”
minji’s eyebrows furrowed. she assumed that there wouldn’t be any talk about her group since it seemed like a sensitive topic for y/n, but this was the first time anyone actually asked, and it wasn’t like y/n was evil. she was just annoying.
“it’s not like how i expected it.” minji shrugged, another flash outside startling the two. y/n urged her to continue. “it’s easier than being a trainee, but it’s harder because i have to take care of other people.”
y/n nodded, hating the sinking feeling that she felt in her stomach. she hated that minji was the right choice and not her.
she bit her lip, another waiter passing the two by with another table’s food. “hanni says you’re doing a good job so…”
“oh.” minji could feel herself blush at the compliment. she closed her eyes tightly before exhaling ('what is wrong with me?’). “that’s good.”
y/n nodded, the two staring at each other before another flash made itself known. y/n rolled her eyes, subtly gesturing at the man standing outside with a thousand-dollar camera that was definitely freezing himself to death.
minji bit back a smile, another photo getting taken, reminding her that this wasn’t an actual outing that she had agreed on. the two had been left here by the company earlier.
she cringed, thinking about the comment she had made earlier as she rehashed the events.
minji cleared her throat. “about earlier—”
“hyein?” y/n asked, a playful grin on her face.
minji chuckled, the two girls clearly knowing what the youngest was like. “she doesn’t really listen to anyone except haerin.”
“she listened to me.” y/n stated, smirking slightly as she watched minji get irritated. she loved having something above the younger girl.
old habits die hard.
“that was for a different reason.” minji rolled her eyes, hating the smug look on the older girl’s face. the leader sighed. “it’s just that… she’s a good kid, but i get worried sometimes.”
y/n’s face dropped slightly, suddenly feeling uncomfortable with the amount that minji was opening up to her. she wasn’t sure if normal people were like this, but if this meant that she would fight less with minji, y/n would do it (for the sake of the team, of course).
“what do you mean?” y/n tired to push her discomfort down.
“sometimes i feel like she’s growing up too fast. sometimes i feel like she’s not growing up enough.” minji ran her hand through her hair, her eyebrows furrowed from stress. “i get worried that i won’t be able to help her because she doesn’t listen.”
y/n winced, realizing that this was probably how sakura and chaewon viewed her.
she didn’t want to say anything, the topic hitting a little too close to home for her, but she couldn’t imagine how minji (and chaewon) was feeling.
the idol thought to herself, thinking about her leader and what she would say to her (she made a mental note to hug chaewon as soon as she got back).
“you shouldn’t worry about that too much. i can tell she looks up to you.” y/n said, clearing her throat. she looked down, watching herself play with her hands. “i hate to say it but i agree with hanni. you were the best choice for their leader.”
“oh.” minji tried to bite back a smile. “thank you.”
y/n nodded and tried to respond, but another flash startled the two. she turned to face the man, trying to signal to him to lessen the photos, or at least turn the brightness of the flash down. the older man gave her the middle finger, causing y/n to scoff loudly.
minji laughed as the older idol silently argued with the man in the street, a large grin on her face.
y/n turned to look at her briefly with a bewildered face before turning back to the paparazzi, but minji felt something when their eyes met. something that she shouldn’t have.
her stomach quickly sank as she realized that this was all supposed to be fake. she and y/n were never supposed to be here in the first place. they weren’t supposed to get along, and they were supposed to hate each other. she wasn’t supposed to be laughing at the idol arguing with some dispatch idiot who was freezing on the street.
this wasn’t supposed to happen.
but minji didn’t know why it bothered her so much.

Hii!! Do you have any advice with restricting??
Helllllooooo!!
Well let's start with the obvious,
if you haven't started, don't.
It won't lead to anything good but I assume it's a bit late for that /lh
let yourself have the sweet treat
This may seem very counter intuitive but those health YouTubers are right, You are so much less likely to binge on disgusting sugary shit if you let yourself have a
Small, portioned bit
This tip saved my ass mores times than I can count, as much as it's talked about it's so underrated
Pair it with a glass of water and it genuinely curbs the craving
Every calorie counts
If you're choosing between two things, one is ten less, choose that one.
If you're debating whether to have a small snack u barely even want just because it's low calorie (and u have no medical reason to), don't eat it.
That shit adds up but time
Just because you're binging doesn't mean you have to wait till tomorrow
If you keep saying Diet starts tomorrow just because you're binging, that turns a 1000 c@l binge into 3000. Suddenly 1000 doesn't look like much when you could have made it higher.
I will forever swear by
Diet coke
appetite suppressants are heavily talked about but very important.
Sugar free gum is a must have especially if you need to have something in ur mouth and diet coke is a very sensory experience which is a bonus
I have a couple more points but I'm not gonna mention them cuz idk who's gonna read this and I'd prefer to not share some more intense tips to people younger than me

The Ultimate Guide to Unveiling: Health Benefits of Veg Chicken
Introduction: Exploring the Wonders of Veg Chicken
Welcome to our comprehensive guide on the extraordinary health benefits of Veg Chicken! In a world where dietary preferences and health-conscious choices are becoming increasingly prevalent, veg chicken emerges as a delightful alternative that not only satisfies the palate but also offers a plethora of nutritional advantages.
Understanding Veg Chicken: A Nutritious Alternative
What Exactly is Veg Chicken?
Veg chicken, often referred to as plant-based chicken or meat alternatives, is a protein-rich substitute crafted from a blend of plant-derived ingredients. These innovative products mimic the taste, texture, and appearance of traditional chicken, providing a savory experience without the use of animal-derived components.
Nutritional Composition of Veg Chicken
Despite its meat-free nature, veg chicken boasts an impressive nutritional profile. Rich in plant-based proteins, essential vitamins, and minerals, this delectable alternative offers a wholesome dining experience without compromising on nutritional value. From soy and pea protein to vital nutrients like iron and B-vitamins, veg chicken serves as a commendable source of sustenance for individuals seeking a balanced diet.
Unveiling the Health Benefits of Veg Chicken
1. Protein Powerhouse
Protein serves as the building block of life, playing a crucial role in muscle repair, growth, and overall cellular function. Veg chicken, abundant in plant-based proteins, offers a fulfilling protein source suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and individuals looking to reduce their meat consumption. Incorporating veg chicken into your diet ensures adequate protein intake, supporting muscle development and enhancing satiety levels.
2. Heart Health Promotion
One of the most notable advantages of veg chicken lies in its potential to promote heart health. Unlike conventional meat products, which may contribute to elevated cholesterol levels and cardiovascular risks, veg chicken offers a heart-friendly alternative. Low in saturated fat and cholesterol-free, veg chicken aids in maintaining optimal blood lipid levels, reducing the likelihood of heart-related ailments and enhancing cardiovascular well-being.
3. Weight Management Support
In the pursuit of a healthy weight, dietary choices play a pivotal role. Veg chicken, with its low-calorie content and high protein density, emerges as a valuable ally in the battle against excess weight. By fostering feelings of fullness and satisfaction, veg chicken helps curb cravings and promotes portion control, facilitating weight management endeavors without sacrificing flavor or nutritional value.
4. Environmental Sustainability
Beyond individual health benefits, embracing veg chicken aligns with broader environmental sustainability efforts. Traditional livestock farming practices often exert a significant ecological footprint, contributing to deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and water pollution. In contrast, veg chicken production entails fewer environmental repercussions, making it a more eco-conscious choice for conscientious consumers striving to reduce their carbon footprint.
Incorporating Veg Chicken Into Your Culinary Repertoire
Creative Cooking Ideas
From savory stir-fries to succulent sandwiches, the versatility of veg chicken lends itself to a myriad of culinary creations. Experiment with diverse recipes and cooking techniques to unlock the full potential of this plant-based delicacy. Whether you’re grilling, sautéing, or baking, veg chicken serves as a canvas for culinary innovation, allowing you to craft wholesome meals that tantalize the taste buds and nourish the body.
Dietary Diversity Enhancement
Integrating veg chicken into your dietary regimen introduces a refreshing dimension of variety and flavor. Whether you’re a seasoned vegan or a curious omnivore, incorporating veg chicken into your meals diversifies your palate and broadens your culinary horizons. Embrace the culinary adventure and savor the delectable delights of veg chicken in all its forms, from classic favorites to bold, inventive dishes.
Conclusion: Embracing the Virtues of Veg Chicken
In conclusion, the health benefits of veg chicken are as diverse as they are remarkable. From its protein-packed prowess to its heart-healthy attributes and environmental sustainability, veg chicken embodies the epitome of nutritious innovation. By incorporating veg chicken into your dietary repertoire, you embark on a journey of culinary discovery and wellness enhancement, reaping the rewards of a plant-powered lifestyle.

Snippet *Sunday
Or, well. Technically snippet Monday now. Tagged by @bleumanouche, thank you Bleu!
No pressure tags: @druidgroves @hotwifeluigi @bigfan-fanfic
Grabbed this snippet from a scene in which Wes and Avery are 19 & 18 and in the aftermath of a falling out with each other. Both of them cope with their emotions poorly at this age. Avery does it more violently. Wes is the patron saint of repression. I have a lot of fun writing scenes while these two are younger because it really shows how much they've grown by the time they're 30.
And as always Wes belongs to @hotwifeluigi
And so Avery gets himself a shot. And another, and another, and another.
The more Avery drinks the louder he gets, the louder he gets the more other bar patrons want to drink with him. It’s all jovial celebration but it’s a thinly veiled vicious cycle, smiles and laughter encourage poisoning the well. A cheap excuse to justify the means of self-medication, still, to everyone but Avery he’s having a lovely night. And who could blame them? It’s New Years, ain’t no threat in having a good time.
The momentum carries up to a finite point; Avery exists in a state of perpetually teetering over a ledge. All it takes is one nudge and he’ll tumble, push finds its shove when a man built like a bull decides faggot is a good way to describe the way Avery talks.
One black eye, a busted lip and two sets of bloodied knuckles later, Avery finds himself on the curb outside. His saving grace was the firm belief that fighting dirty is fair game if an opponent really deserves it, dropping slurs in a bar meets that qualifier. They both got kicked out of the bar when it really came down to it, but Avery’s content with knowing that motherfucker took a boot heel to the balls.
Avery spits to his side, saliva marbled with blood colors a small spot in the dirt. He grunts, sighs from behind his teeth and lifts a cigarette to his lips. The orange glow briefly fills the dark night air, Avery perks up when he hears the door open behind him.
“What the hell were you thinkin’ pullin’ a stunt like that?” Even while drunker than a cow on a diet of fermented corn he’d recognize Wes’s voice. Oh, so now he can tolerate being near Avery.
“Dude had it comin’,” Avery says with all the nonchalance in the world.
Wes stands over him with his hands on his hips. Avery tilts his head up and back to stare at him, he can’t help but smirk a little when he gets a good look at that pursed-lip, low-browed expression. He carries a similar cadence to a horse with his ears all pinned back. Careful, he might kick.
“How d’you figure he had it comin’? I watched the whole damn thing from the other side’a the bar, far as I know he mighta just looked atcha wrong and you took a swing,” Wes uses one hand to make frustrated, vague gestures as he talks, “Which, if I’m bein’ quite honest, Mr. Moreno, I wouldn’t put such a thing past you.”
Avery takes another slow inhale off his cigarette. Flicks the ashes into the dirt, mixing with his spit like gold flakes in resin. “Call me a faggot, get your teeth busted out. It’s as simple as that.”
“Oh,” Wes breathes as his expression cools to something a grade calmer. He stands there statuesque for a short spell, evidently unsure just what to say. He clears his throat and adds, “I guess it’s for the best then that you uh, you stood up for yourself.”
Standing over Avery while he’s sat there on the curb, Avery decides he should invite Wes to do anything other than loom. “Want a smoke?” He says as he pulls one from the pack he has in his coat pocket.
“No, that’s a’right,” Wes declines and Avery isn’t sure if the feeling cropping up in his chest immolates or if it’s so cold that it burns, somewhere in the back of his head he’d hoped Wes would sit with him out here. “I had somebody waitin’ for me back inside. Just wanted to see what’d happened with you.”
Avery finds that he has nothing to say, silence lingers between them until Wes opens his mouth again.
“You plan on comin’ back in anytime?” Wes asks.
“Nope,” Avery responds simply, cigarette held up to his mouth.
“A’right. You make it back to the room safe then, okay?” Wes’s voice sounds so strained that Avery could almost mistake his tone for guilt. He makes it a few feet closer to the door before he pauses— again— hesitating seems to be a skill he’s gotten good at. “Want me to walk back with you?”
“Nope,” he lies through his teeth.
#ive been going through editing and came across this scene again yesterday#ah... 19 year olds and their poor emotional regulation skills...#avery#wesley
