#sleep token #sleep token fanart #levynn tries to draw #so the thought behind this..#there was a lot but in short #the concept is that the moth represents vessel mostly #the masks are the past cycles or states of being #essentially they represent the past selves of the individual #and the moth is chasing those past memories and feelings and familiar things even if they kill it #and Sleep is basically trying to protect them from that #by physically pulling them back #but i wanted to have the tentacles a sort of insect like feel to them #to somewhat evoke a spider in a way so that protection still probably going to harm the moth #and beyond that maybe even play on the idea of it trapping the insect and maybe even consume it up after a period of time #so the moth is both trying to escape that reach but also chasing that pull of the beacon like familiarity of the past #there is no escape #there is no reason left #no options just what is behind and what is in front #stuck between the two #in a way this is an iteration on my idea of the vessel failing and getting lost on the journey at the very end #anyway this was a fun little one day project and i hope you enjoy it at least half as much as i did drawing it

#projecting my major on Vash because them mfs who have changed from the med field majors to that one have some tragic things to tell #and also because I think that Vash would be such a wonderful designer I don’t know why it’s a gut feeling #Nai the law major because of course he would have you seen the guy #he would be a personal injury lawyer because lore #fun fact Nai rested for a semester after the incident with Vash while Vash took two.He never told Nai he would be changing majors #so it was a big big shock for him. they fought again but yk I’ll explain more on that if anyone is interested #as to Kni and WW I thought it’d be funny if they shared a common subject that required a lot of team assignments #and they can NEVER work out together. being an absolute nightmare to the rest of their group #separately they are great to work with. even if Kni can come off as too bossy sometimes he is actually a great leader #and WW would always deliver things on time exactly as it was asked from him #but Kni and WW just never really matched. Kni was too rude at times when WW made a mistake and WW would always clock him if he passed a line #like insulting his reasons for wanting to study security #one day Kni tells him at the beginning of a new semester where they both have unfortunately landed on a shared subject again #“you are not suited for that sort of job Wolfwood. you should simply give up and why don’t you go play role model to your little kids’’#then WW beats him again and then is like hey yk what you’re kinda right. and changed majors and he feels so much more at home studying #education/teaching than security. he fucking hates some things but the end goal makes it worthy #Trigun Uni! #elena of avalor #beauty and the beast #batbedit #disneyedit #eoa edit #belle x beast #estebalena #kinda but also not kinda #I think a lot about the fact that it's been confirmed that this is an intentional homage #like EoA series supervising director Elliot M. Bour was just like casually bringing BATB into things as an Easter egg #since it was his first job in animation #and like don't get me wrong; I LOVE that he did this. I just don't know how he expected anyone (i.e. me) to be normal about it afterwards #once you've introduced BATB; it ceases to be a fun and casual reference and just makes the literature major girlies go feral #i thought this was gonna be a quick and easy little project but it wasn't #the parallels are all there but they're in slightly different order in EoA than the original and the pacing for each reference is differen #so i had to determine which ones I needed to skip frames for and which ones to use all the frames #and then try to figure out the speed from there #the coronation day scenes were very hard to color because the grey skies and muted filter kind of whitewash the characters #like you don't even understand i added so MUCH vibrance and saturation to the 4th and 5th gifs but elena's skin still is just gray #and the coloring is still just a very very mixed bag #also i've realized that while I don't think it was an intentional reference in the same way BATB was #anna's sacrifice and resurrection from frozen is perhaps just as --if not more-- a clear parallel to the coronation day scene than BATB #so maybe I will do that one someday too?#once i psych myself up again to try coloring coronation day again #which i imagine will be awhile #these do not look like the same scene and pretty much the same scene at all even if i tried to use the same psd when i could #and edit them to make the coloring as close as i could

one of my favorite clark headcanons that i have (that is completely unsupported by canon) is that he's transgender by kryptonian standards. martha and jon kent raised him as a boy and as he grew up he never had any reason to doubt it at all, he was like yeah i'm a boy, makes sense. and then he gets to the fortress of solitude for the first time and it turns out how Gender works on krypton was just Different enough that clark doesn't really fit the kryptonian standards of whatever he was supposed to be. bonus points because this makes him feel like even more of an outsider as a kryptonian, even if he's the last one left.

#do i know what those kryptonian gender customs are? no and i kind of don't care to come up with them #just cuz that's not my favorite thing to do but someone else can if they like my idea #i just love the idea of 1) trans clark 2) clark discovering his heritage but also as he learns more about his heritage #realizing that because of how he was raised- and it was nobody's fault- even though it's the only explanation for why he's so different #from humans he still can't help but feel like he's not a real kryptonian either #brought to you by THIS STARTED AS A FUN HEADCANON FOR HIM TO BE TRANS IN A COOL ALIEN WAY #BUT TURNED OUT TO BE ACTUALLY PROJECTION OF SOME PERSONAL SHIT I HAVE ONLY CONSCIOUSLY THOUGHT ABOUT LIKE TWICE SO OOPS #bluebird.txt #superman #was watching superman 1978 and i don't have any real thoughts about it yet but i'm just rotating in my head #that jor-el said 'this is your home.' when describing krypton.#like. he's never been there. he can never go there. it doesn't exist anymore and he will be raised human.#he will be raised in a world that is so completely unlike his own and he will not grow up with as a kryptonian.#and yet jor-el says of krypton 'this is your home.'#like just give me a moment.#so interesting to me who considers who what. some guy in high school #told me i wasn't mexican because i din't recognize some candies my (cuban) teacher brought back when he visited mexico #he said i wasn't even latino #well first of all that guy was a first-class asshole seriously my kudos to him #for having such an impressive amount of hatred and unhappiness in his little soul #second of all. he didn't think i was latino. my own sister only calls me mexican when it's convenient for her #my parents are proud of their american children and in high school my mexican (as in grew up there) friend wa always proud #to call me a fellow mexican (or at least a chicana)#so i just find it so fascinating that in this movie jor-el says son you will never know your birthplace your parents's home firsthand #but it is your home.#my parents would never EVER call mexico my home i don't think they'd even call it THEIR home #i just. i'm thinking about it a lot.#high fives clark kent in child of immigrants and everything that means swag solidarity

I'm 35,000 words into writing a longfic about the Batman/Bruce/Matches DID system and I'm obsessed with it. It includes Bat/Joker, Bruce/Harvey, and Matches/Harv and the differences in each of those dynamics is 🤌

(Batman and Bruce know about each other but they don't know about Matches and Matches doesn't know about them--what could POSSIBLY go wrong?)

#rei #volo #cheren #// tikposting #// character meta #the crowd booes me off the stage #forgive the pun XDDD his name is too easy to pun on #the way i write it it's not a conscious choice. it's just how the pov character (rei) experiences and contextualises the world #revealing backstory and personality and mindset through narration !!!!#not necessarily out of malice it's just. how he views things #interpreting new and foreign experiences through the lens of what came before...#conversations which read differently to different people.#in the context of rei that's stuff like unease around authority figures #always choosing his words carefully to project an image of competence (he has to be needed)#distrust and not taking things at face value but also paradoxically a fragile and nurtured sense of almost blind optimism #when it comes to friendships. like volo. (everyone turned on me when the sky turned red but it all resolved itself in the end didn't it?)#(what makes this different? / a lot of things. / i choose to believe)#volo [directly]: “i won't be stopped from my goal” rei thoughts: we can work with this!!!!#and everything with Arceus too and his divine blessings and a plan that will work out in the end #if Rei can just... figure out what part he's meant to play. interpreting events as a narrative hurtling towards some unknown conclusion #i am talking about rei here specifically but this writing device is so good in general #would be fun to try get inside volo's head. there's so much going on there i don't understand yet #quite fond of that one analysis post about how volo lacks emotional intelligence and sees relationships as transactions #not necessarily out of malice it's just how he views things. whether because of past experience or brain chemistry #also need to give a shout to cheren my guy who is an outsider pov who projects his own experiences onto new things so that he Understands #(an outsider to Hilbert and N's clash of truth and ideals. life changing experience and knowledge but felt just a little off to the left)#(the narrative repeated again with new heroes. all he can do is help them but it falls on their shoulders in the end)#(no wonder he tries to insert himself into Situations)#anyway tag ramble over feel free to also ramble to me about your takes XD #rei pokemon

#have i ever talked about the robot au here? i dont think so #long story short its that kind of au with no core story where i just play around with everyone in it #its a pretty standard kind of chill scifi au tbh. lots of robots around that do various kinds of jobs #everyone in the cast is either human (most of them) or an idol robot (the remaining handful)#nene is an older generation idol robot that was meant to be shut down and destroyed #and while the former part did happen they were not destroyed just abandoned instead #and a few years later rui found them and restored their body as best as he could and reactivated them #now theyre friends. some guy in his mid-late 20s and the robot he lives with. and also sometimes tsukasa is there. ruikasa 👍#in the case of this doodleits like... rui gets invited to a robotics showcase thing and brings nene along with him to it for obvious reason #but nene was not in the best condition and rui wants to present himself a little more nicely in case it can help him make connections #so they both get fun little makeovers. nenes is a lot more temporary than ruis is but thats fine with both of them lol #project sekai #nene kusanagi #rui kamishiro #tsukasa tenma #ruikasa #w1f1 sketches
