Okay so... This idea kept circling around in my head and I finally decided to draw it.

Before the question on Lady Bone Demon on the DKR AU, I was always curious on what could've happened if she was ever released.

... At least I'm glad she wasn't. Because if she was then it would've horrifically backfired very quickly.

Taking place mid-season 2 in the timeline, Lady Bone Demon is eventually released by Spider Queen due to discovering the digging site. One thing led to another, she got the key, and released her. Cue the og possessed DBK fight being replaced with a possessed spider queen fight.

This would last for the finale of season one and the opening season two special in terms of time. Once that crashes, LBD retreats into Bai He, infiltrating King Red's council as assistance to return his darling to him.

Now, her main goal at the moment is to grow strong enough to destroy her biggest threats. She assumed King Red wouldn't be a problem.

She was so, so wrong.

King Red was unlike anything she was expecting. Arrogant, paranoid, obsessive, and extremely intelligent. She couldn't even sneak around without cameras glaring her down. Not to mention her and Macaque getting increasingly aggressive with each other over "this bastard put me into this mess" (aka Macaque sided with Red for, one; Wukong and two; to avoid LBD's deal. And LBD for needing to go through the trouble of getting released (even if it was by chance) and jumping between bodies in an attempt to find her perfect match) type of dynamic.

But once LBD regained enough of her power and helped Red "achieve" his destiny of getting his darling MK back, she turns on him.

As the two fight, she begins to take in some of his power, growing stronger by the sheer fierceness of the fire. Her form stabilized rapidly and just as she was able to physically remain out of Bai He's body, the two strike at the same time...

Causing a cataclysmic soul fusion. Macaque rushes to rescue Bai He and brings her out of harms way, hiding from the smoldering figure.

There's no more King or Lady. A new being remained.

And they were even worse than anyone could've anticipated.

So yeah... Mini plot aside on this hypothetical they can control both fire and ice. Though the fire is now blue and the ice is extremely cold. They're two extremes fighting for balance with their only anchor being to shape the world into an image they desire.

Although LBD isn't fond of MK, Red absolutely is and that part overpowers hers, making them absolutely obsessing over their love. To the point that once they got him back, he was locked up in a room of nearly impenetrable ice for his safety. The space is well hidden in the fortress that many rescue attempts have failed because of it.

And Macaque, oh Macaque... His plan backfired in the worst way because not only was he now FORCED to work for his new ruler, but also anytime he tried to escape or step out of line he'd get punished severely. With Red's half being okay with using physical force (though preferring technology to subdue) and LBD holding seething anger towards the shadow monkey for abandoning her, you get a recipe for pretty severe physical abuse. Think of broken bones, frostbite and second degree burns.

And then you got everyone else, who were all forced to evacuate lest they get swallowed up by the raging blue fires and ice spikes taking over the city. After all, you gotta destroy everything to start over, right?

Which leaves us with this turnout: Megapolis and many surrounding lands have become uninhabitable, both MK and Macaque are tortured in the fortress, and there's an extremely powerful soul fusion of two demonic figures with their worst traits amplified and bouncing off of each other.

The Monkie Kids are mainly hiding out wherever possible, most of the time at Flower Fruit Mountain in an attempt to avoid the carnage. Now, their only hope is to find the samadhi fire to vanquish the Lady Bone Demon from King Red... Then, they gotta deal with the other problem.

Not a perfect plan, but it'll hopefully work out, right?

I just thought of *who* could theoretically "un-chimera" Tang!

Red Son!

He's the only other character shown to have a grasp of alchemy and of Lao Tzu's furnace. Combine his alchemy knowledge with Nezha's divine intervention (and DBK and Sandy holding Tang like a cat at the vets) equals a mostly-back-to-normal Tang! There's a lot of gory Samadhi-Fire required to break down the extra parts.

I feel like the whole Demon Bull Fam gets involved after Red Son learns that MK's "monk father" is possessed/corrupted. DBK knows what being possessed by LBD feels like and wants to help however he can.

MK still convinces Macaque to "be a warrior" to get to Wukong. The shadow monkey having to face the same ear-bleeding cicada-screech to get his former best friend back.

I love post-S3 Tang still having remnants of his time as a chimera; feathers, maybe tiger feet/tail, and his cicada wings. He'd be completely fine with the physical stuff! Just a little freaked out by the whole "being possessed and forced to hunt down his friends and family" part.

I feel that if Tang taps into his beefier powers, he'd want to revive anyone he bodied. Just to clear his conscience. The Spider Gang would be alive but very scared of him (and Sandy delighted to see Huntsman again).

Tang canonically purrs when he wants Pigsy to do something for him ("Temples of the Goddess"), imagine that amplified by 10x with his leftover chimera parts XD

Tang: (*purr?*) Pigsy, cooking: "I said no." Tang: (*leans in, purring intensifies*) Pigsy, sigh of defeat: "Ok."

Okay so I saw some Dungeon Meshi x Lego Monkie Kid art you reblogged and it has been EATING at me. So now I gotta throw my hat into the Au idea ring.

So a lot of arts I’ve seen have portrayed Tang as Marcille usually, but I think he totally works as Falin, too. Like, eaten/almost eaten by a monster? Check. Self sacrificial for their friends? Check. Teleportation powers? Check!

Basically what I’m saying is that I think it’d be a cool (and angsty) Au idea if one way or another Tang got chimera’d. Because the idea of that middle-aged man going crazy as a chimera is beautiful to me, plus it’d be very unexpected! I don’t know how he’d get like that, mayhaps through LBD’s meddling?

(It wouldn’t make as much sense for him to have the main body of a dragon, though, so maybe instead he’d have something like a lion or tiger instead for the bulk? I think it’d be neat. Especially if we bring the cicada powers into play, then we’d have a bird-cicada-lion/tiger chimera on our hands and I’d LOVE to see that. I dunno, just a thought.)

If Tang was chimera'ed I can see the body mainly being that of a tiger, as per Tripitaka's transformation in the Jttw Yellow Robed Demon arc, mixed with that of a dragon-sized insect ala the Golden Cicada connection.

If we're thinking of this taking place in LMK canon; maybe Tang gets captured by LBD during the events of Lantern City/"Benched"? Or maybe even earlier around the time of Shadowplay - MK's second father going missing during perhaps the worst possible time in his life, only to reappear as a corrupted monster of his former self. Wukong and Nezha don't get bodied by a ward spell in this timeline - but rather by Tang himself.

LBD taking the final remnant of the Golden Cicada, a being embodying the cycle of life/death, and warping it into her Champion for the Destruction of this world.

Though, he supposed it wasn't fair to the young simian for her to be compared to her grandfather like that. Of course they were strikingly similar in many ways. Sonson had many similarities to the Great Sage, including his stubbornness, playfulness, and many more traits that made it clear she was his granddaughter. Not to mention her appearance greatly resembled the king, enough so that anyone would mistake her for him at first glance. It was uncanny at times.

That said, there were also plenty of differences to be had between them as well — enough that the young girl was her own being. While, it was probably nice to hear she shared traits with her grandfather and could make her feel proud of that fact THAT didn't mean it couldn't also get tiresome or sting to hear too. Especially after so many countless times. Probably an annoyance too whenever the young simian got mistaken for him and attack by foes had a grudge against the old sage. It was probably aggravating to have your day interrupted by a case of mistaken identity.

Set in lmk verse

- new opera troupe in megapolis(? Or troupe gets a new manager, havent decided yet)

- the manager is baigujing LMFAO

- she brings her own opera ppl to the megapolis troupe, which includes mayor, macaque, spiders

- mayor doesn't really do opera I think he'd be more like admin. But hed fit some kind of wusheng, considering his past, and he could be like. Last minute understudy idk

- spider queen as a wu dan, but I also think she has the personality for a jing. Yea jing are men but everyone is gnc so. The spider henchmen are chou.

- macaque as a sheng + huashan dan

Wukong joins the troupe undercover to scope out baigujing/the "enemy." He plays sheng roles but is super bad at it HELP. He did try his best to audition for dan but. Macaque ate him up

The magical girl au part is when wukong is out of disguise and is the monkey king. In this au I'm kinda altering it to be like where sun wukong as his name isn't known, but the monkey king is known, so it's like magical girl hero persona vibes

Macaque also has a magical girl form where he has the ice armor and can turn huge like in the show. Cue sailor moon/phantom thief jeanne where ur rival is actually ur crush irl tralala
