Though, he supposed it wasn't fair to the young simian for her to be compared to her grandfather like that. Of course they were strikingly similar in many ways. Sonson had many similarities to the Great Sage, including his stubbornness, playfulness, and many more traits that made it clear she was his granddaughter. Not to mention her appearance greatly resembled the king, enough so that anyone would mistake her for him at first glance. It was uncanny at times.

That said, there were also plenty of differences to be had between them as well — enough that the young girl was her own being. While, it was probably nice to hear she shared traits with her grandfather and could make her feel proud of that fact THAT didn't mean it couldn't also get tiresome or sting to hear too. Especially after so many countless times. Probably an annoyance too whenever the young simian got mistaken for him and attack by foes had a grudge against the old sage. It was probably aggravating to have your day interrupted by a case of mistaken identity.

Feel like it's obvious, but...Was this MK easy to raise growing up?

It was definitely hard and VERY tiring XD

MK was a good kid, but with LOT OF ENERGY.

He had really hard time controlling his powers which sometimes resulted in accidents.

The biggest problem was with his strength and his hearing. Since he has two sets of ears, it was really easy for him to get overwhelmed :( but Macaque always knew how to help since he has a similar problem.

After a few years, Xiaotian got better at controlling his strength and tune out noises (though he still gets overwhelmed sometimes, but not as much)

Macaque and Wukong arrange play dates with Mei and Red Son. It helps them to tire the kids out XD they just switch where the hang out place is, so the parents who are not watching them can get some alone time once in a while.

Back on my bullshit but now I'm actually adding shit to the au

Everyone say hi to my opera magical girl shadowpeach au

Set in lmk verse

- new opera troupe in megapolis(? Or troupe gets a new manager, havent decided yet)

- the manager is baigujing LMFAO

- she brings her own opera ppl to the megapolis troupe, which includes mayor, macaque, spiders

- mayor doesn't really do opera I think he'd be more like admin. But hed fit some kind of wusheng, considering his past, and he could be like. Last minute understudy idk

- spider queen as a wu dan, but I also think she has the personality for a jing. Yea jing are men but everyone is gnc so. The spider henchmen are chou.

- macaque as a sheng + huashan dan

Wukong joins the troupe undercover to scope out baigujing/the "enemy." He plays sheng roles but is super bad at it HELP. He did try his best to audition for dan but. Macaque ate him up

The magical girl au part is when wukong is out of disguise and is the monkey king. In this au I'm kinda altering it to be like where sun wukong as his name isn't known, but the monkey king is known, so it's like magical girl hero persona vibes

Macaque also has a magical girl form where he has the ice armor and can turn huge like in the show. Cue sailor moon/phantom thief jeanne where ur rival is actually ur crush irl tralala

- the back of each flag has an insignia representing each of the pilgrims

- the front of the flags depicts stages of his life (birth, huaguo shan, havoc in heaven, journey to the west)

Le me noticing that Macaque stopped wearing the red belt that Wukong used to tighten up for him (maybe even help wearing)

General:

Macaque is FtM and the only person he trusted with this secret was Wukong (and the little monkeys)

Macaque is Demi (romantic and sexual), he wants a genuine relationship with someone but struggles to truly connect with anyone until he met Wukong

Wukong is aroace and had no interest in relationships prior to meeting Macaque

They met when Macaque washed up on FFM sometime after Wukong returned from his training with Sabodi

Macaque is very insecure about his ears, but Wukong adores them and makes sure to always praise them

Despite being the flirt of the two Wukong is easily flustered

Macaque loves to put on performances for Wukong because it’s the only time he feels like he can truly impress his king

Despite what others would assume Macaque was the one to courtnap Wukong

Due to his insecurities Macaque is a very jealous lover, despite this Wukong is the one who will get aggressive if anyone flirts with Macaque

The reason Wukong doesn’t typically take Macaque with him on his adventures is because Macaque has expressed a dislike for the world beyond FFM

The two are very cuddly and affectionate with each other, with unique expressions of affection being Macaque kissing Wukong’s eyelids and Wukong nipping Macaque’s ears

Macaque’s nicknames for Wukong are: My King, My Hero, My Sun, Peaches, Sunlight, Sunflower, Sunshine, Sunstone, Sunny

Wukong’s nicknames for Macaque are: My Queen, My Warrior, My Moon, Plum, Moonlight, Moonblossom, Moonbeam, Moonstone, Mooncake

Havoc in heaven/JTTW:

Even amongst the brotherhood, not many people knew that Wukong and Macaque were mates

Macaque never spoke out against the havoc (or the camel ridge trio) because he had too much faith in Wukong’s abilities

The fight under the mountain (while not their first fight) was the first time Wukong had actually insulted Macaque

Macaque was never angry at Wukong for killing him, he was angry that he was abandoned and practically forgotten by Wukong

Wukong meanwhile pushed Macaque away because he was still haunted by his death and didn’t want to hurt him further (even if he won’t admit it)

Post-LMK:

Despite having once been a very affectionate couple, they now can barely touch each other without feeling guilt for their past actions and can only hold each other’s pinkies

They struggle to talk to each other because they’re so used to fighting and don’t want to fall into that same pattern

They have weekly therapy sessions with Sandy’s therapist to help them with their communication and affection issues

Wukong has the bad habit of shouldering the blame for Macaque’s past mistakes, and Macaque has to always remind him that he’s responsible for his own mistakes

They often go on dates to try to redefine their relationship and build something new together

Macaque has now become the bigger flirt of the two, though he mostly does it whenever Wukong is in a self loathing mood

Despite struggling to be affectionate, whenever either has a nightmare/panic attack, they fall back into old comfort habits very easily

It takes a while, but eventually they manage to become a strong, stable couple once again (now with the experience and maturity to survive any hardship)
