Script-Writing - Characters, Themes and Story
For today’s research, I thought I would establish my characters, story and the themes that I want to bring across for the scene for the script-writing part of my essay so that I can refer back to this and help me write my essay. Starting off, I thought about which characters would be involved in my scene as well as a fact file of how they behave and what’s their relationship to one another.
Characters
Ego (Jekyll Character)
Obsessed with the ideas of celebrities and idols in the universe as they act like gods and role-models to him
Very handy person and the best at his craft of making things but also mending things too
Has learned to adapt to the ongoing changes of the world with cyber technology
So good at his craft to the point he’s fixing the most important people in the city like the president and the top celebrities that reside in the area
Despite his extreme time he puts into the craft as well as how he’s the best at what he does, he doesn’t get any recognition for his efforts which is what allows his body to transform into the Hyde character
But despite this detail, he still is a really nice individual who doesn’t intend in hurting in anybody or saying anything cruel
Sane individual for the most part at the beginning of the story but becomes much more insane over the course of the story and what leads to the eventualfull downfall of both Ego and Impluse
Nice person at the start of the story but then turns sour and in his last moments, he recognises his faults and what leads him and Hyde to pass away from this world for good
Is obsessed over the celebrity ‘Chance’ due to being the one he’s fixed the most on and having the closet relationship too out of the all the celebs in the city despite her never acknowledging his talents or wanting to share them to the world
Has a bit of a god complex
The name Ego is a literal definition for the character as he has a huge ego about himself and his work. Whislt he may be truly the best at his craft, his idea of himself thinking the world revolves around him makes him feel like he should be under the spotlight from how hard he’s worked
Impulse (Hyde Character)
A spirit that possess Ego from the natural world that reatin’s the physical presence of him but in a giant mechanical mech
Thinks independently to Ego but is a manifestation of Ego’s hatred towards Idol culture
Is very much against the whole idea of celebs and idols from how people obsess over them so much to the point they lose their own identity
Wants people to experience life outside of the city and apprentice living
Loves living and
Hates anything that closely resembles anything famous as he finds that environment toxic
Has murderous intent but not to the point he wants to murder everything in his path as he has morals to who he needs to kill which frankly, he only ever kills one individual across my story
Whilst he has murderous intent, he’s fascinated by humanity and what it has to offer as the holograms in the city he finds special as they look at him not as a junk monster, but has someone that has compassion
Wants to be seen as human and be accepted as individual and not a freak of nature
Whilst against Jekyll for the most part, he serves as a mentor for Jekyll through the course of the story and allows him to experience life outside of the city despite being very narcissistic from Impulse murdering his role model
Literally has Ego chained up inside of Impulse’s body
The name Impulse is to represent his hatred for the city and what it stands for and how it operates. The city to him acts as a graveyard to him which is ironic from where he came from that being a junkyard in the forested areas outside of the city. The reason he sees it this way is due to how the humans want less and less of their identity to be shown in that culture with most organic parts being replaced by robotic parts to gain an edge as well as becoming obsessed with celeb culture. Both of these to him make humans want to become something else like they’re not happy with themselves and try to aspire to be their own unique self.
Chance (Sir Danvers Carew Character)
Ego’s biggest idol and the one that he obsesses over the most out of all the idols in the city
Relies on Ego to fix her equipment being her arms, head and legs as they need the most attention. This is to symbolise without these facial features and appenditures, your just a generic body that could be casted off as a slab of meat which shows lack of soul
Is killed by Impluse with a broken off road sign found in the slums and is used to stab her right in the heart and prop her up against the entrance of the slums. This symbolises the disconnect from the slum world to the flashy city as whilst it was Ego’s favourite idol, the general public care about her death for a couple of days until she’s old news and the next idol takes her place like she didn’t exist. This is why shes propped up halfway between these two worlds as the world sees her but is then casted away into the slums.
Might consider having just her body presented to the world with no arms, legs or head to further drive that symbolism across
The name Chance is inspired by how you have to be incredibly lucky to reach elitist status in the world in terms of being a celebrity which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s just that it adds
Once I’d covered the characters, I went back on my previous blog posts and ideas and list out my themes that I would like to convey in the scene as well as covering the whole story too.
Themes
Lack of identity - From the removal of identity from the use of cyber enhancements replacing people’s characteristics with new ones as well as obsessing over celebrity culture to the point of not having an identity yourself. Essentially, the city acts like a graveyard
Roger Ebert puts it best -
Tumblr media
Humanity - Impulse covers this theme the best through the usage of holograms as they severe as the closest living thing to accepting who he is which emphasises the humanity of Impulse despite his murderous intent
Apprenticing Life for what it has to offer - Impluse commits actions that he believes will help grow Ego to become a better person. Whilst these methods are brutal and sadistic, it’s to further emphasise the point to abandon the city he’s all too familiar with. In addition to this, the world outside of the city is filled with life and exploration but because everyone is so attached to the city, no one dares to leave because they are so attached to it and feel terrified if they leave something they’re too familiar with
Attachment?
For the story, I looked back on the script-writing website on how to write a synopsis for a story for script-writing and this is what it breaks-down to; Beginning, Inciting incident, first turning point, call to action, point of no return, all is lost, second turning point, climax, the end. I think for the context for the script and essay, I think I’ll stick to these terms as it will help to establish the general story I want to bring across.
Story Beginning - Ego is a hard-working individual who works his way through the ranks of the engineering world becoming the best at his craft to the point he’s working with high-end celebrities, idols and important influential people.
Inciting Incident - He then ends up working with his favourite idol that he obsesses over by the name of ‘Chance’. Although despite working with her so much, she doesn’t seem to pay any real interest into him or acklodge he exists. In fact, he’s a blur to her despite fixing her at the worst points in her idol career. It doesn’t help that he’s been also promised at a chance at the spotlight by her for his hard-working efforts and dedication to his craft. This leads to him becoming depressed and feel disconnected to her as his talents aren’t recognised on stage by her or she does anything to put him in the spotlight. But at the same time, he feels a bit of hatred towards her being casted away from her.
First turning point - Saddened by this continuous guilt and this hatred brewing, he flocks outside of the city to the abandoned wasteland that lies on the outside of the city as he feels worthless and forgotten in the world. This leads him to this natural wasteland with greenery from top to bottom but because of his  emotions, he doesn’t take in it’s beauty and ploughs through the deserted environment. He then ends up in an abandoned junkyard in the greenery which then his hatred begins to manifest and create the character that is known as Impluse with large bits of scrap coming from either side attaching to his body and part of the scenery as well like skulls and plants.
Call to action - Impulse begins to gain conscious of his surroundings and initially has quite the negative reaction to Ego being inside his body as Ego is hung up inside supporting him with his arms and legs are inside Impulse’s body. However rather than scold him and threaten him, he hesitates and takes in the life around him with the flourishing natural environment almost speaking to him. It’s at this stage he almost forgets who he is as he becomes in tranced of his surroundings. Puzzled and confused, Ego tries talking to him which he then snaps back to a perfectly normal expression and questions the feelings he’s feeling as he’s never felt something like that before. Ego is quick to pass it off as star-gazing as there’s nothing special to this area in his eyes. Impulse then feels angered from that comment as he wants to protect what he can’t see is beautiful. This leads to Ego influencing Impluse to see what truly is beautiful in his eyes which leads Impulse to the city.
Point of No Return - When they arrive at the city, Impulse is confused at what he’s actually looking at as all he can see are blank black and white screens with different lettering to them and emptyless buildings. Comparing this to Ego’s perception of the city, he’s in a trance like state from all of the pretty colours that shine down around the city with the moving imagery of holograms scattered across. Both characters have a back and forth to what they find so special about the city with Ego amazed by the colours and flashiness of it and Impluse very much unable to grasp the culture being presented to him. This then leads to the two characters walking into the slums of the city to which they see Chance coming out of one of the buildings as she walks into the city. Impulse ends up killing Chance to prove a point to Ego that you shouldn’t be attached to this kind of toxic behaviour as he stabs Chance through her body just outside of the streets of the city with her legs, head and arms being ripped off. Ego is unable to see this murder occur as he passes out from losing control of himself in Impulse’s body.
All is lost - Ego wakes up in his bed with metal panels, scrap and environment scattered across his living space thinking it was all a bad dream until he sees the decapitated head of Chance and her limbs arranged in front of him. Ego is in immense sadness and confusion to how this has happened as he trembles in his movements that he's his role model is all mangled up in front of him. Things don’t help as on TV where the body is, his wrench is at the crime scene getting the wrong kind of spotlight he wished for. Impluse starts speaking to his head without the need of his humgoous body telling him it was the right thing to do.
Second turning Point - This makes Ego start to fester his hatred again and begin at it’s peak level as he wishes the whole world can burn and no-one deserves to live becoming just like Impulse when they first met. However, Impulse is feeling heavily resentful despite still hating the idol culture that is shown in the city as he regrets killing human life even if it taught him a lesson. He snaps out Ego’s mindset out of his head and asks him to come back to the city. WIth Ego standing in middle of the crosswalks, he begins to understand what it’s like to live life and the happiness it has being himself.
Climax - Unfortunately, this revelation from Ego is brought short as the police have spotted him in the city which Ego allows Impulse to take over his body and take him away from the city in a chase sequence. This then brings both characters to the in between of the city and the green wasteland where it’s marky and desert looking. Both Ego and Impulse sacrifice themselves in a chemical explosion so that they can both escape this world together as they know they aren’t suited here and are better known in a different life
The End - Nothing really happens or really changes to the city as the world keeps on moving on how it’s always been. However despite the irony that everything is remaining the same, more and more life starts to grow around the city encouraging people to explore and detach themselves from the culture that’s established in the city and experience a new life out of the city.
I think from my development today on the script-writing project, I can fully understand the scene that I would like to make now knowing the whole story, character’s intentions and backgrounds as well as my general themes being established in this document. I think to help with the essay structure, I plan to look into other scripts and see how I can both write and plan my scene out.

LOADING INFORMATION ON CHERRY BOMB!’S LEAD DANCE, LEAD VOCAL AHN JOWI...
IDOL DETAILS
STAGENAME: AJ CURRENT AGE: 24 DEBUT AGE: 18 TRAINEE SINCE AGE: 13 COMPANY: MSG SECONDARY SKILL: Variety
IDOL PROFILE
NICKNAME(S): jojo, AJ-oppa, teddy bear, solstice’s girl, CB!’s secret weapon/key INSPIRATION: Her inspiration was and has always been her older sister. She followed her first to ballet lessons, then to vocal lessons. Initially it was just easier for their mother to sign Jowi up to tag along and get both children out from underfoot, but eventually they were even scouted for the same company. She was and remains, also, a vehement CAREmel fan. SPECIAL TALENTS:
excellent at math / quantitative problem solving (puzzles, pattern games, mental computation, memorization)
“dancing robot” that seems to be a data bank for choreography and can perform choruses/point dances from dozens of hits, classic and current.
NOTABLE FACTS:
She had her variety debut on Invincible Youth, where it was discovered her variety talents shine in an ensemble cast when she’s given the chance to play off of others.
She has been central to a lot of fan criticism and rumors regarding her relationships (friendly or not, speculated or actual) to various other artists, from company seniors like Solstice to others.
She’s known for her extensive “network” amongst idols and often surprises by turning up on instagrams from various other idols.
IDOL GOALS
SHORT-TERM GOALS:
In the short term all AJ really wants is to finally get the chance to release her solo single. MSG has been busy capitalizing off her variety attention and has, for the time being, seemingly put her solo plans on indefinite hold, something that has left her furious and frustrated for far too long. It’s not that she dislikes her variety career (obviously) but she’s getting tired of being more known for things that she hasn’t spent years training and cultivating (i.e. vocals and dance).
LONG-TERM GOALS:
In the long term she would like to follow in the steps of female soloists like Hyori or BoA, with a long running career, consistent and respected output as a soloist, and a well rounded image as performer, dancer, and vocalist alike. Clearly she’s reaching for the stars here, but despite the unlikeliness of making it to such a height as a female soloist starting from an idol group, she’s eager to give it a try. When it comes to her variety career, she’d like to find a single long running show to become her variety home in a fixed cast capacity, toning back her current break-neck schedule and trimming it into something much more manageable, supplementable with guest roles when promoting her music so that she can avoid overextending herself and her image.
IDOL IMAGE
she’s thirteen years old and she’s here on accident. thirteen years old and she’s followed her sister to this audition like she’s followed her everywhere, living in the shadow of her splendor. she’s awkward and gangly - her ears stick out too far and she’s all limbs, even if she’s not that tall.  her dancing is solid enough, her singing sweet, but is she a standout, really? she looks at her sister - shining hair, shining eyes, a light that seems to pour out of her. maybe she’s not. maybe jowi is destined for second best, middle of the road, just okay.
and maybe she’s young. maybe she’s moldable. that’s probably what they see in her that day. the casting director seems to look right into her soul. they see something in her, that they can use.
they see her fire.
she’s full to the brim with it, from poorly suppressed energy to a wild passion that rages like a wildfire beneath her skin. there’s greed there too, desire, and they can use it. they can shape that. and they do. they take this gangly child and craft her into something shining, a gem cut from rough hewn stone. it takes years to polish her, an opal that flares fiery until the end, a brutal gleam to softened edges, a hardness that belies the sheen of delicacy.
when AJ is put out into the market she’s the girl everyone feels like they could be someday. that’s the gimmick. girls want to be her and she’s not so intimidating, so ethereal, that they feel like it’s impossible. there’s a relatability to her. she’s too loud, for starters, and her tongue too sharp. she’s half sweet and half sour, half dorky and half devilish. her looks are unique but not stereotypical, they don’t alienate. she’s the kind of girl you could admire.
she’s a lead dancer and lead vocal and she’s not really the best at anything. there’s a better dancer, a better vocalist, and she can’t personally rap to save her life, but she demands  attention. she’s good enough to carry it off, breezes through part switches relying on humor. she’s got the brain for choreography, reduces it to pattern memorization and becomes the “secret weapon” of the group on stage and off, the key, the pin to hold them together. the others are all mains, the best at something, but they need jowi, too, the glue to stick them together, to propel them from one main’s part to the next, to move through the song and ease the transitions.
it’s not until her first variety guesting solo that anyone really knows the msg plan for her. it becomes clear right away. she’s the sort of sweet and sour and relatable that can get away with a lot, that pushes the boundaries where she can, that sacrifices image for humor, that turns in a quick pivot from hilarious self denigration to wicked and savage comebacks and one liners. she can’t do impressions and she’s not good at chosen talents, but give her a chance to lose herself in an ensemble cast and she can shine. so that’s what she becomes.
the queen of duality, bridging a gap between concepts in her ability to play sexy and fatal on stage and sarcastic and relatable off, a duality that smooths between well polished members and sets them up to shine, propping them up for their big showy notes or solid dance breaks and fading back again.
a jack of all trades, a master of none - at least, for now.
IDOL HISTORY
“for god’s sake somi, just take her with you. someone has to watch her.”
jowi is thirteen and lanky, long limbed and gangly. she’s not tall, no, but her proportions are odd - like she’s more leg than she is anything else. the bruises that dot her shins speak to a recent growth spurt she hasn’t been able to adjust too just yet. her hair is in two hastily coiled buns, done up at either side of her head, set towards the top, with strands escaping around her face and forehead, wispy and already frizzing in the debilitating summer heat. somi is another story. only two years older than jowi, she’s already stunning. tall and slender, in a graceful way that speaks to the ballet training both of them have been in since they were toddlers in tutus that extended farther than their arm spans, a testament to the preferences of their mother. somi is all long straight hair, shiny and silky, and big doe eyes. she’s beautiful, honestly speaking, in the way that makes people stop and look at her. jowi is proud of this, too young still to care that she herself looks more like a child of the forest than a properly groomed human being. somi is expressive too, her eyes rolling in a spectacular display of disregard for their mother, slim arms crossing artfully over her chest as she heaves a sigh so theatrically woe-laden that jowi almost apologizes for the fact that she’s too young to be left properly on her own - at least according to their mother. she feels old enough to sit around the house alone. perhaps the problem is all three of them know jowi won’t just stay in the house, unable to resist the temptation of the wide world outside, liable to run off into trouble at a moment’s notice. jowi is always like that, stumbling into the unexpected, throwing herself headlong into whatever comes her way, unrelentingly charging forward. maybe that’s why it works out like this. maybe that’s why they tell her to stay in line she’s going to have to audition, so she does. maybe that’s why they bring them both back in, offer them spots training at the company. “you better not slow me down.”  somi says, with a hardness in her voice jowi is used to, by now. so jowi works twice as hard as anyone else even dreams of. of course she likes this, this acknowledgement. years spent in somi’s shadow mean she’s thirsty for recognition, for validity, and she’s on the edge of the precipice that is adolescence, desperate to solidify who she is and who she will become. jowi is driven to a fault, always has been, and she burns with the need to live up to the ghost of her father, the present icon that is her sister. she’s been in a race against this girl since she can remember. she’s been condemned by her mother twice as long, the child born a month after an unfortunate accident. a burden for a newly single mother, trying to juggle a toddler and the aftermath of a funeral. despite born into mourning, jowi is strangely bright eyed, a larger than life personality that beams out of her like sunlight, to the point of overbearing. like the energizer bunny she exists in perpetual movement - until sudden and abrupt crashes drag her down. months of three hours of sleep a night and endless energy erupt in one drunken night gone an hour or two too long leaving her slumped over a friend’s shoulder, carried home to sleep for the next forty hours, only waking to shower, gulp down liters of water. trainee life isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon, and for jowi its nearly unsustainable. for most of them it isn’t, it’s a system built to break you down. but jowi is fierce, jowi is nothing if not determined,  pushing herself to her limits and past them, until she’s taking intravenous fluids in the hospital, suffering dehydration, exhaustion, anemia, you name it. she pushes herself to heights she would never have thought possible, reaches lows she thinks might ruin her. and yet, somehow, she isn’t the one who breaks. instead, its somi. somi, the perfect daughter. somi, perpetually first place, effortlessly lovely, stunningly intelligent, immensely skilled. but somi hasn’t faced adversity. somi doesn’t know criticism like jowi does, hasn’t thrived under duress and neglect. somi can’t take it - it’s too harsh, too cruel, too exhausting. for jowi, it’s something like second nature. you might think to yourself now, “surely this only exacerbated the rift in the ahn family?” and you would be right. beyond that even. the rift became a gulf, a trench - mariana’s even, the deepest chasm of the ocean. at seventeen jowi was all but alone, excluding the trainees she was working and living (at that point) alongside. of course her mother outwardly supported her, to keep up experiences, but the understanding was that any sustained contact would not pass the bare minimum societally required of her, and would mostly consist of a few thousand won here and there and phone calls that heavily suggested she was simply waiting for jowi to get kicked out and come back home with her tail between her legs. only that’s not quite how that worked out. instead, she was put into vocal lessons, and then more and more personal training, and then finally told she’d been chosen for the potential lineup for the upcoming girl group. that her monthly evaluations will be weekly now, that she needs to keep on top of her diet, that this could mean big things for her.
they put her in music videos next, dress her up and stand her in the middle of luridly bright sets, have her smile soft and serene and sweet as boys she’s mostly seen on screen up until now, or on twitter or naver. it felt unreal at first. but as hours of forced smiles and constant cameras and continuous takes slogged by, she found herself buried under the reality of what it was to be an idol, to lipsync through a chorus forty five times to get it from each angle, to perform the same song, the same segment of the same song, fifty different times in five different outfits all for ten seconds of a jump cut you pray doesn’t expose how sweaty and exhausted you were in the moment. in those moments she discovers what will be required of her, and its a little frightening. but then the first articles drop, just little ones on pann, who’s that girl in the video, and later, did you see her again? and eventually look, it’s solstice’s girl, her name is jowi, she’s a trainee. and then she has fans  - not many, but a few, and the numbers grow, and she gets a letter from the desk downstairs from a fan telling her to be strong, that they’re waiting for her debut, and she cries. happy tears, but bittersweet, because how can strangers see what her own mother can’t, or won’t?
and then she is chosen, and she’s debuting, and she’s so fucking excited she’s overflowing with it. she’s lived in somi’s shadow for so long that to be debuting now and in a central position in the group no less, has her head spinning. surely now, now her mother will care about her. now her sister will acknowledge her. they’ll smile at her, they’ll tell her they’re proud. she’s sure of it, so sure she’s full to bursting. it’s only silence though, that she gets. they don’t even bother to decline the invitation to the showcase for her debut. the other girls are finding their families in the audience, tears spilling down pretty cheeks, and jowi is crying too. how cute, their slow growing number of fans say, little jowi is so touched to have debuted. and she is, god, is she ever. it was an accident of fate that brought her here but she finds herself born for it, made for it, thriving on it. this goal of so many years, finally in front of her. the rush and the thrill and the ache of it, heart pounding like it might explode out of her chest. but they aren’t there. for years, they aren’t there, and jowi learns to find the validation she craves so desperately in other ways. but that’s hard too. if trainee years were a marathon, debut is climbing mount everest. msg is an established company, sure, but they’re not at the top of the heap just yet. they don’t have the cache to rely on that. they’re clawing up to the top come hell or high water, and jowi’s jack of all trades status is useful, but it’s not the kind of thing that lands you cf deals or acting parts, gets you hosting. that goes to visuals and the like, and jowi’s always been a little too atypical for that, more unique and charming than broadly adored and acknowledged.
maybe she can pretend, at first, it isn’t terrible. things are in the works. a guest spot here, a commercial there, an influx of articles on every little movement she makes. the comments are nice too - the media play isn’t oversaturated yet. t the attention is there, and the intrigue. they’re being noticed. she’s being noticed. her mother even calls her, one night, and jowi thinks maybe it can be okay.
of course, when she lets herself stop, think, listen in the dead of the night she’s sick to her stomach. the anxiety heightens day by day, and she’s ferocious in her efforts to combat it. she trains herself into the ground and her dietary habits consist more of liquor to put her to bed and handfuls of hastily swallowed nutrient supplements than anything else, and her hours in the gym become absurd. but if they’re going to media play about her abs, she better have them, and if they’re going to talk about her figure in crop tops, she better suit them. she’s always been obsessive, when it comes to coping with her own emotions, when it come sto avoiding her life.
it’s her personality that finally takes off. she’s been groomed to facilitate transitions in their songs, to work the bridge or the chorus and help the song get to the point the main vocal will take over and soar, or push the transition to the rap verse, or slide through the moves that will precede the main dancer’s showcase. she’s glue to the girls, fitting the distracting and diverse songs together into something that makes at least a little bit of sense, with a charisma and performance capability trained into being diverse and multifaceted, to help carry off each vastly different concept in a way that seems convincing to the audience. if she can take that first chorus or hit that opening strong, the skepticism starts to fade and “what the fuck concept is this” drifts more towards “what a weird and fun concept, as expected of cherry bomb!” she’s there to sell the image of the group, so maybe that’s why she works so well in an ensemble atmosphere. ironic, for a girl trying to go solo.
she lands a spot on invincible youth and plays off the other girls well, develops a reputation as a social butterfly, as half sour and half sweet, a startlingly savage sweetheart with a competitive fire that surprises, given her soft demeanor and boyish offstage mannerisms. from there come the cf deals, and slowly the attention builds up in bits and pieces. she gets into the normal scandals - too close to this idol, too friendly with that one, a rude face here, rumors of deviant behavior behind the scenes. the irony of a rough and tumble variety image is that it acts as a shield -  she’s so goddamn normal seeming that no one can fault her for it too much, like they might were she one of the stunningly ethereal beautiful goddess types. they don’t have high expectations for her, maybe, so they don’t hold her to a wildly high standard either. it gives her room to work with.
but it doesn’t give her a solo, doesn’t help her stand on her own two feet, doesn’t let her shine in the way she wants - the way she feels she deserves. instead she remains cherry bomb’s secret weapon, cherry bomb’s key, the glue to hold them together, but she’s tired of being the border pieces of the puzzle, tired of being the wiring that turns the lights on to let them shy.
she wants that spotlight, and she’ll get it one way or another, whatever it takes. all she wants,  all she’s ever wanted, is to be seen.

Episode 11: “Whatever Happens Tonight...This Will End in Chaos”
So far in the remote island of Taveuni, things were looking fine. Unanimous votes were all that the eye could see. It seemed like nothing much could go wrong, but, in the words of Selena Gomez, everything is not as it seems.
Well, first off, there was the fun auction. People won some pretty neat things; Jack E won some delicious spoiled milk, LA and Charlotte both won an advantage in the next challenge, Steven got a self-vote revealer, and Lily bought a wonderfully useless stick. A bunch of people bid on the mysterious statue because they thought it would be some advantage in the game (it wasn’t). Jack C won, and he told the tribe that it was useless, but they all thought he was lying (he wasn’t).
The most important thing won in the auction, though, was the super fun Chaos Idol (TM)! Jordan was the lucky winner of this ugly idol, and so now he had not one but TWO special idols. And it...would have quite the effect on the course of the game.
The immunity challenge was Robot Unicorn Attack, which LA won. And she would be thankful she won immunity that round, because hoo boy.
Jordan tells his Motomaiqi alliance about the Chaos Idol, saying that he plans to use it. LA spills the beans, though. Soon, Charlotte, Steffen, and a bunch of others try to coordinate the vote so that they all are immune. Their goal was to make a sort-of-but-not-really-blindside and rock out Lily. And then...there was Jack E.
Jack was bored, so he decided to go on call and ally with whoever got on call with him first in the tribe chat. And that lucky winner was the other Jack! So Jack E started spilling minimal information to Jack C to try to get his trust only for Jack C to just flat out tell him about Jordan’s two idols. That’s some stunning gameplay right there, folks.
Sometime after this, Steffen still trusts Jack E a lot, so he lets Jack E in on the plan to work around Jordan’s Chaos Idol. Jack E, though, is bored and likes to have fun, so he tells Jordan about this, everything from LA flipping and all that, and he suggests blindsiding Steffen. Jordan and Jack C agree to this, and the former decides to retract his Chaos Idol...for now.
Unfortunately, though, both plans failed that night. When Steffen saw Jordan did NOT play his Chaos Idol, he decided to play it safe and play his idol on himself. Unlike another person who played their idol, Steffen played his idol correctly, and Jack C was blindsided in a 2-1-1-1 vote, with 4 votes for Steffen cancelled.
Tumblr media
whew there was no secret plot to murder my ass, nice
Tumblr media
I believe the soul fact Jack C exists in this game is to annoy me to no end and face the fact he's gonna outlast me because his social game is so fucking bad and he's up Jordo's ass
[5/11/17, 6:24:38 PM] Jack (Ginga): Life works in mysterious ways steffen [5/11/17, 6:24:46 PM] Jack (Ginga): Sometimes all it takes is a stick and a statur I dont care that I hate Jack C, that better be the title
Tumblr media
Jack C. really thinks he's fooling everyone saying that statue does nothing. How dumb do you think I am to believe your word without any receipts especially after you popped an idol out of nowhere without telling anybody last time, why would you be honest and upfront about something this time. HM?

[5/11/17, 9:41:32 PM] Steffen Bøhn: ok so this didn’t strike me until last night but Im more than certain this is a thing now [5/11/17, 9:46:20 PM] Steffen Bøhn: but I believe that Jordan and Lily are working together, and they each have 2 trios set up, one for each of them, Jordan has Jack C and LA, and Lily has Charlotte and Tyler, this was kinda proven to me when last night Charlotte and Tyler and LA confirmed that the plan to get out Jack C wasn’t actually the plan and the whole plan all along was set up by Jordan to take out either me or Billy.  LA and I spoke and she basically confirmed this theory, along with the fact that Lily and Jordan are closely working together because I told Lily I found the extra vote, and that I had all the stamps, and low and behold Jordan suddenly knows how I have both, and apparently Jordan told his trio too because LA told me she knew.  So in the end inside those trios, Lily has Charlotte and Jordan has Jack C, if my math is correct.

Okay, so I just finished a call with Steffen and I feel like we have a solid relationship now. I was upfront with him before the vote, after Jack let slip the real plan so I told him everything basically. I told him how Lily shared everything with Jordan, basically everything he told me to build trust I was like yeah, Jordan already told me cause Lily told him. I don't think he was happy about that but now we know we can't trust Lily 100% she's working with Jordan. Now my problem is Steffen doesn't trust Charlotte either, he thinks she is Lily's second, like Jack C is Jordan's and I don't wanna be like nah, I have Char cause that will mean telling him we're friends and suddenly huge target on us.  We talked a little about the upcoming vote, whether we need to make a vote and get Lily or Jordan out or for Jack. (thank god he didn't say Char) If the vote is aimed at the other Jack or Steven, we're sort of fucked too because we need them to vote with us when we do go to make a move. It should be pretty clear that Jordan and Lily are sort of running things so hopefully we can use that to flip people.  Steffen thinks he can pull in Tyler so if we can then we should be able to do something? But Tyler also leaked the plan to Jordan so that's worrying, PEOPLE NEED TO STOP TELLING THE REAL PLAN, LIE PEOPLE, LIEEE. WE NEED TO BE A BUNCH OF LYING LIARS WHO LIE. But Char also thinks she has Tyler which isn't bad but in this case I need Tyler to trust Steffen more so he doesn't tell Lily cause once Lily knows, Jordan knows. I didn't think I would have to deal with such an important move so fast but if we don't cut someone from Jordan and Lily they have numbers through most of the game and while I could just go along with it, I'd rather play my own game not follow someone else's.  My last game, the biggest problem was not having people I really trusted and it's hard to play when you don't have some form of trust with people. I feel like I can trust Steffen and Char, although if Char turns on me I wouldn't be too shocked cause we' are Slytherins and we do what we gotta but I hope she doesn't cause we still need each other right now and doing that would put her at risk of becoming just a number and she's better than that, plus she wants Jordan gone so that helps. Also Steffen and I are pretty sure Jordan won the secret advantage so I have to hope he tells me what it is so I know what to expect. We also think either Jordan or Lily have the rainbow idol. I thought Steffen had it but now I'm not sure, he probably would have admitted it during the call.  so much to figure out.

later...
Well, this challenge was terrible. And not terrible in a 'socks with sandals kind of way' but terrible in a 'i want to rip my ears off and throw them in bleach' kind of way. Whoever decided that games don't need volume control is the worst human ever. OF COURSE I didn't find the mute button until 10PM... life is cruel. Thank god I'll be 25 next month. This is the halfway point of my life. We're almost there kids. Let me just take you through my life today. 9:15AM: Wow, this is going to be fine. I used to play this all the time in middle school, it's going to be great. 9:17AM: I love this song!! 9:26AM: Um okay that score could have been better... but it's fine, I'll get better. 9:45AM: Fuck. 10:15AM: Fuck me. 11:30AM: I hate this game. I hate this song. I hate the hosts. 12:00PM: I will pray for death. Please murder me. 1:15PM: Ha ha ha ha ha ha. 1:30PM: Ooh Harry Styles put out a new album. 6:00PM: FUCK I stopped playing. 9:00PM: k let's do this. I can do this, this is fine. 10:15PM: I can't do this. Gotta find that GIF. 10:45PM: Can't find the GIF. Forgot to submit, fuck. 10:53PM: Submitting mothafucker. 11:05PM: Found the GIF. Too little too late. Honestly I'm just glad that Jordan didn't win. This might be our opportunity to get him the fuck out of here. Honestly, I want him gone... mostly because I don't like that he cheats his way through challenges but we call it loopholes because he was 'smart' enough to outsmart or outlogic the hosts / life. Okay, I only hate him because I didn't think of it first. Otherwise, he's okay. Whatever. I'm just salty. Let me live.

I think it's SO CUTE how Steffen and I were not on good terms, and he finally "makes up" with me, telling me how he's glad we're friends again, and we're talking all the time and all this happy bullshit and he was gonna work with me, and keep me in this game, and not only was he fully aware I was leaving, he helped and voted me out. Steffen is a snake, always has been, always will be. I've never met someone who is more self centered, more conceited and more socially inept than him. He doesn't understand the concept of friendship and never will, and I'm gonna laugh when he loses this game too. Sorry I tried being your friend AGAIN and you proved to me that you're just terrible. I hope you get voted out with your idol in your pocket you dumbass.

Long story short: We're faking the chaos idol and voting out steffen
Tumblr media
"Better to be safe than sent home." Episode title. Ya'll are welcome. So today, the plan was to vote Jack C. Or at least, that's what I heard before all hell broke loose. Turns out, Jordan has the Chaos Idol (thanks, Lily) and he plans on using it tonight.. which means that everyone who has a vote cast AGAINST them is safe. So much for sending Jordan home tonight. A girl can dream. But now we're going to throw votes around like darts on a board and hope that they all land EXCEPT for Lily. Which should work. Hopefully. I really want to work with Steffen and Tyler. I think I can trust them and hopefully Lily comes through on her part of this 'plan' and votes to keep me safe. She has no idea that Tyler's sticking his vote on Steffen and not her. Surprise bitch, the rock is all yours. If this backfires, we might have to deal with Hurricane Lily.. but I'm optimistic. I think we've got this one.

i cant believe jordan got a chaos idol,,, this is about to be the craziest tribal so far, and probably ever, because the rest will end up unanimous just like the first 11 have been
Tumblr media
First of all, thank fuck I won immunity this round cause shit is about to get crazy. This afternoon Jordan decides he's going to use his chaos idol, apparently that is what the special secret advantage was so that was fun to deal with. After Jordan, Jack and I sorted out what 'we were doing', I had to update Char about everything tell her the plan and then Steffen. I told Steffen I was gonna vote for him to keep him safe but after more planning happened, without me, Tyler is voting Steffen instead and I'm still putting my vote on Jack C. Which is good cause it'll look like I stayed solid and if Jordan doesn't use the idol then Jack C should have the most votes and go home, unless Jordan and Lily had another plan and put their votes on Steffen while we all spread and in that case he'll be gone, but that's just me being hella paranoid. If everything goes as the four of us plan, Lily will be the only person without a vote and should be going home. But this whole idol is a fucking mess so we will see. I hate that I'm not voting for Char or Steffen, cause if someone doesn't stick to  the plan then they could be in trouble and I need them to stay. #stressed

originally there was a big plan of using the chaos idol and a decent amount of people knew about it but steffen and steven were out of the loop right, anyways me la and jack are in an alliance since day 1, but me and jack c are getting closer to other jack for a while. anyways la spills are the beans to steffen and tries to flip on us. steffen not know jack is close to me and jack c and tells jack, jack tells all this to me and jack c. anyways now were not playing the chaos idol and the three of us without telling anyone are voting steffen, everyone else is planning for a chaos idol

Dear Chaotic Diary, Ok so I have little to no idea whats going on anymore because I could be getting played to high heaven and I would not be the wiser tbh.  ANYHOE, I'm here bidding one that screwed up statue because HEY EVERYONE IS GOING FOR THAT ADVANTAGE, oh wait, no, Jack C is gonna steal my statue and keep it for himself and rub my face in it, PARTY.  So now I'm here pissed cause it seems Jordan got the special advantage, BUT GUESS WHAT, ITS A CHAOS IDOL, designed as it's name implies, to cause chaos.  So basically it'll make anyone who is voted for immune and cause them to go to an immediate rock draw between the people and it turns out, oh good ole Jordo is trying to save Jackie poo C again....while passing it off like I'm none the wiser, but oh does he know what's been in my ear.  So I've been recently been getting closer to LA and she is honestly my rock rn after losing Billy, but we were game talking and at this point I have nothing to lose.  But I basically laid out the dynamic of the season of Jordan and Lily running 2 trios, but it seems factions in their trios have been woke or something, cause here I have Charlotte coming to me saying "I think Lily poisoned me and Tyler against you" YA THINK, anyways now we hear from Charlotte and LA that Jordan has the aforementioned chaos idol.  So now Charlotte turned on Lily, and LA turned on Jordan, which is honestly what I needed and a plan was devised.  SO according to Charlotte and LA Jordan is saving Jack E, Jack C is saving Jordan, Jack E is saving Jack C, and LA is saving Jack C, possibly with Steven voting Jack C, but now we sit here with Lily's trio, and this is where my alliance with Charlotte and Tyler comes into play.  So Lily thinks that trio is saving itself, but now we have other plans.  So Lily will save Charlotte, Charlotte will save Tyler, and instead of Tyler saving Lily, Tyler will save me, and that leaves Lily without a vote to save her, meaning she would leave immediately.  However if no chaos idol is played I think that Jack C will go home since LA and Jack E are voting for him, but I don't care at this point, if a chaos idol isn't played tonight, I'm sorry but I'm going to need to bust out my hidden immunity idol cause this ain't gonna screw me out tonight.....at least I hope, technically we should be fine but I don't want to chance Jordan and Lily doing something like voting me instead and just using the chaos idol to screw with people's minds because let's face it, thats a very sadistic and Jordan Pines thing to do.  So I'm sitting here and praying to everything I can think of just to hope this plan will work, because if it does, oh holy nights, if not.....well things are gonna get a whole lot more interesting, so lets have fun. Scared and confused, Steffen

If you had asked me 72 hours ago if I was going to be the mastermind of a crazy move, I would say you were crazy. Here we are, 72 hours later and if what I have set up works out how I planned it, then I will be one powerful person in this game. It all started when Steffen, completely trusting me, spilled the beans about each and every single thing happening in this game, or more specifically, his hypothetical situations. I listened, and originally I did have a reason to keep this to myself, but after reading everything that he was saying, it made Steffen seem like more of a power player than I had originally perceived. I thought he was on the bottom, but considering all of the information he has heard from various sources, it makes me nervous to really think how much information he gets. This scares me, and although I trust him, him having an extra vote, combined with his complete rainbow pass, makes him a dangerous player that I need out of this game. His paranoia, which is what was holding him back from being a really dangerous player has disappeared, and that is why he is a threat to me now. Last night, I called Jack C., because Steffen said Jack C. and Jordan were close, and I originally thought that Jordan and I were formidable allies. I spilled only a little bit of what Steffen had told me before he unleashed a huge bomb in this game: Jordan has the Rainbow Idol. Huh, wonder why Jordan never told me this information? Guess he really is closer to LA and Jack C. than myself. This is where my second dose of information came in handy, where I let him know that LA was really not completely loyal to them. Jack then unleashed another bomb: Jordan found a Chaos Idol. This makes whoever receives votes at tribal council immune and everybody else goes to rocks. This is so powerful and it makes everything that everyone else is doing make sense. Jack C told me that everyone had a plan to vote for each other in order to keep everyone safe when Jordan plays the idol. However, everyone found out about this plan and now no one is really gonna be in danger. This is when I decided to make my move. I told Jack C., what if we don't play the idol, because everyone thinks he will, and you, Jordan and I will vote out Steffen, getting rid of his extra vote without needing to flush it and making everyone scared as well as hang onto it for next round. Wow, I'm so powerful. Now I had to inform Jordan of all of this information and I really thought that this would lead to him leaking his rainbow idol and his Chaos Idol to me. He didn't. Luckily, Steffen told me about the Chaos Idol and everyone's plans to work around it already so I had more of a reason to tell Jordan these plans, and it worked perfectly. We brought in Jack C. and the three of us have formed a formidable trio. Triple J 4.0. Nice. All I know is that we're voting for Steffen and hopefully everyone is sticking to the mindset that Jordan is playing this Chaos Idol and are voting for each other, not knowing they are sealing their fates. I'm honestly not so sure how well this is going to work for me in the future, but I know for sure that I am sick of sitting around letting people tell me what to do. It's my time to shine and it's my time to be a huge game changer. Whatever happens tonight, at least we one thing for sure. This will end in chaos.

I don't know how I'm still here. My strategy is what I like to call the pearl strategy. I'm hoping to just sleep my way to the end.
