Nintendo Announces That The Switch's Successor Will Be The Wii U Again

Putting an end to months of intense anticipation and speculation, Nintendo announced today that the Nintendo Switch's successor console will have the exact same name as its predecessor, the Nintendo Wii U. It will also have the exact same technical specs and game library, and Nintendo projects the exact same lackluster sales.

In a press conference at the company's Kyoto headquarters, senior executive officer Yoshiaki Koizumi explained the reasoning behind the move: "We decided to release Wii U again because it's pretty good. It rules, actually. I love it."

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa further elaborated: "Nintendo Land was my shit. Game & Wario was so underrated. So was Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. So was Star Fox Zero. So was Animal Crossing amiibo Festival. So was Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric." Most of these characters have been assigned DC roles based on their personalities, regardless of gender (except for Superboy and Bizarro since they're clones of Superman so have to be the same gender as him)! I included some Rogues, League of Assassins, Outlaws, Teen Titans and Justice Leaguers because the Batfam interact with them a lot.

In my mind, Kyoko Kirigiri is together with Makoto Naegi and has been for the long term but her as the Bat and Celestia Ludenberg as Catwoman share some flirtatious banter.

Hajime Hinata as Robin 2 died and came back, and when he did he came back different. How much you want to lean into Jason Todd's backstory or Hajime Hinata's and whether you want to include Izuru Kamukuru is up to you.

Kaito Momota may or may not have had an unsuccessful romantic relationship with Shuichi when he was Spoiler and Shuichi was Robin 3. This can be prior to Shuichi meeting Kokichi or Robin 3 and Stray could have had some playful banter going on during this time (this works because Shuichi actually dates civilian Kokichi, which could be after he and Kaito break up). Kaito could be with Maki now!

Yes, this character assignment does mean that Masaru Daimon is Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu's best friend. Yes, that is hilarious.

I was running out of DR characters near the end so I started swapping some around to find suitable Justice Leaguers. Masaru was originally Captain Marvel but then that only left Kotoko Utsugi as an option for Superboy 2 and I thought Fuyuhiko would hate her. So, Masaru became Superboy 2 and Nagisa Shingetsu Captain Marvel. Byakuya Togami was originally assigned as Lucius Fox, the manager of WE, but I had to swap him to Green Arrow because he was just too perfect for that!

I made the following abilities for Bungou Stray Dogs that are free to use with credit. The name of the abilities are mainly based off of the titles from the works of authors and poets.

The Snake Song by R. K. Narayan: This ability allows the user to transform into a huge serpent. They gain all the characteristics and abilities of one, enhanced to a somewhat supernatural degree. The user can also grow and shrink as per their will in this form, from the size of a normal snake to the size of a two-and-a-half storey building.

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell: This ability allows the user to manipulate their shadow to do their bidding. The strength of the shadow depends on the intensity of light around it i.e. more the light, the stronger the shadow. If more than one shadow is formed by a light source, the user can control all of them at once. However, the attacks will be much weaker as the ability will be split between several shadows.

A Living God by Yakumo Koizumi (born Lafcadio Hearn): This ability allows the user to bring their echo to life. They can use it to relay messages and find hiding spots of specific targets by their will for up to thirty minutes at a time. However, this ability can work only in a closed rooms with hard walls.

War and Peace by Lev Tolstoy: This ability allows the user to induce either positive or negative feelings in its targets. They can induce a sense of violent rage which can suppress the affected person’s thoughts and cause them to blindly attack others as well as induce a sense of peace that replaces the rage with bliss and serenity. However, this ability can work only in a limited area and the user’s mind may divide to handle the opposing forces.

There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale: This ability allows the user to converse with the flora and fauna environment to the point of convincing them to act as personal messengers and spies. However, since the user has such a strong connection to nature, dangerous and unstable situations like violent conflicts can cause a lot of mental anguish.

Daffodils by William Wordsworth: This ability allows the user to induce a sense of blissful peace into anyone they touch after activation. While it is useful for calming people down, it can also be used to hypnotise people into a state of such penetrating ecstasy that not only does it render them completely ignorant to their surroundings but causes the victim to experience intense desperation and need to feel that kind of serenity for days after breaking out of it.

Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol: This ability allows the user to transport anyone they touch into a pocket dimension called Wonderland upon activation. It is frequented by characters such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter etc. who take on absurd forms and try to keep the target inside Wonderland by the means of bizarre requests. However, the target can escape by ignoring the characters’ demands and finding the exit. This ability is quite similar to Lucy’s.

‘The Scottish Play’ by William Shakespeare: This ability allows the user to imbue anyone with misfortune if anyone except themselves whisper the name ‘Macbeth’. The user has no control over what the misfortune is or when it will happen as the ability only assures them that it will happen with certainty. They may also revoke the curse by uttering the words, ‘fair is foul, and foul is fair’.

Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl: This ability allows the user to manifest a fox-like phantom which can steal any object the user tells it to do so but on the condition that the stolen object is used to help someone.

Vasilisa the Beautiful by Alexander Afanasyev: This ability allows the user to call upon a magical doll named Vasilisa to aid them in various tasks. Vasilisa can perform simple actions such as scouting, delivering items or providing advice. She can also heal minor wounds or provide temporary boosts to skills, adding to her role as a helpful and protective companion.

I remember one time seeing an artwork of the v3 cast in the phantom thieves outfits and it got me wondering what if we had class 77 as the investigation team (I know shsl shipper gamer fangirl did something like this but I don’t think the phantom thieves fit as well as the investigation team) and with that in mind who do you see being who

(P.s for the artwork I saw kokichi was joker kaede was panther kaito was skull maki was queen korekiyo was fox himeno was oracle tsumugi was haru ryoma was Mona kiruma was sae shuichi was supposed to be goro but mistakenly dressed up as naoto)

Ok! I'm going to try to think in terms of who has the most similar personality or at least shares the most traits with the P4 character in question.

Yu Narukami/Protag equivalent = Hajime, obvs.

Yosuke Hanamura equivalent = Kazuichi. Although I feel like Kazuichi's best P4 match would be something like "Yosuke + Kanji," Yosuke is definitely the closer match of the two.

Chie Satonaka equivalent = This is the first legitimately tough one IMO. I guess Mahiru Koizumi is probably the best match in terms of personality, so I'll give it to her.

Yukiko Amagi equivalent = Sonia Nevermind. Easy one.

Kanji Tatsumi equivalent = Fuyuhiko has that tough-guy exterior with the softer inner core, so he can take this on.

Rise Kujikawa equivalent = This, to me, was the hardest one. Sure, we have someone who loves to be on-stage and in the spotlight — Ibuki — but she doesn't align with ANYTHING else about Rise's personality. (Though I do think having Ibuki as a navigator would be hilarious.) So... who comes the closest, then? Does Class 77 have anyone that's struggling with putting on an exterior face to the point that they fear they're losing sight of who they are? I suppose that'd align well with the Imposter. But again, I don't feel confident that he fits with anything else about Rise. And so, after careful consideration, I've decided to give this role to Mikan Tsumiki. Mikan aligns with literally zero of Rise's personality traits, yet somehow she still gets about 50% of the way to matching most of them, if that makes sense? There are multiple aspects that both have loosely in common with the other, if only partially. It's... good enough.

Teddie equivalent = Teruteru.

Naoto Shirogane equivalent = And so we end on another hard one. I considered Peko, Ryota, and Chiaki before I ultimately landed on Imposter. He's got a very no-nonsense, down-to-business way of speaking when he's not putting on a faked personality, plus he's got that whole hidden-identity aspect down already. He also almost never wavers from his craft; he's disguising 99% of the time, after all, which aligns pretty well with Naoto's workaholic nature.

All the Danganronpa characters I can remember as animal crossing animals bc I have nothing better to do and I'm defo not procrastinating on writing the next chapter for the SU story.

Makoto Naegi: Lazy Dog, because he is basic. Sayaka Maizono: Peppy Squirrel, because also basic. Leon Kuwata: Jock Lion, tries so hard to be smug. Chihiro Fujisaki: Lazy Mouse, because small. Mondo Owada: Cranky Tiger, big cranky man. Kiyotaka Ishimaru: I'm totally thinking Cranky Horse, but it's obvious he's meant to be a zebra. Hifumi Yamada: Lazy Anteater. I struggled HARD with this one, because nothing really fit him at all. Celestia Ludenberg: Snooty defo, and she was also defo a cat, rabbit, wolf, or deer. So, I decided on Snooty cat. Sakura Oogami: Absolutely Sisterly Bear, but again, it's obvious she's supposed to be a Polar Bear. Aoi Asahina: Peppy Dog or Deer Kyoko Kirigiri: Normal/Snooty cat/wolf Byakuya Togami: ABSOLUTELY SMUG AF, and a cat. Yasuhiro Hagakure: Lazy sheep 100% Toko Fukawa: Snooty goat. Why goat? Mind your fucking business. Mukuro Ikusaba: Normal Wolf Junko Enoshima: Peppy Wolf

Hajime Hinata: Lazy Wolf becuase basic. Izuru Kamakura: Cranky Wolf, because cooler basic Byakuya Twogami: Cranky Cat because I totally believe he's more cranky than actual Togami. Teruteru Hanamura: Smug Pig.. He's fucking Chops. Mahiru Koizumi: Peppy Squirrel or Rabbit mostly because I entirely believe that she's a little on the shorter side. Peko Pekoyama: Snooty Wolf, but also supposed to be like a fox, like Audie (And also Vivian which I headcannon to be a fox as well) Hiyoko Saionji: Snooty 100% and she's either a squirrel, rabbit, or hamster. Ibuki Mioda: Peppy as hell. And totally a dog. Mikan Tsumiki: Normal deer becuase I love deer villagers and I love Mikan. Nekomaru Nidai: Jock Bull because, why did you ask, you know why. Gundham Tanaka: Cranky Goat bc he's totally into goat rituals, i kid u not. Nagito Komaeda: Lazy wolf. He's totally a wolf that looks like a fox. Chiaki Nanami: Normal Koala, because she's small. Sonia Nevermind: Peppy Horse that's meant to be a unicorn. Akane Owari: Sisterly Doggy bc she's kinda dorky like a dog and sisterly bc of her backstory. Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: Cranky squirrel because he's tiny, and cranky. Kazuichi Souda: Jock deer. dk why I made him a deer.

Kokichi Ouma: i genuinely fucking hate him, smug mouse Kaito Momota: Jock deer, meant to look like a reindeer. Maki Harukawa: Snooty cat Himiko Yumeno: normal rabbit. I love danganronpa, and animal crossing so much.

Max stared blankly at the photo. “Ren said that this woman is not…bad, she reminds me of a Doe or female deer, they’re strong yet elegant, caring of their young and willing to defend to the very end. I like them but more often than not they always end up as dinner to a much bigger or stronger predator.” As he says this, he glanced at Hunter who was tearing into his meal, leftover meat from hunting a deer, he walked over to the wolf and patted his head, unfazed of the sound of flesh being ripped from bone.

He furrowed his eyebrows, “Isn’t this the woman that K-“ He was cut off from his name being yelled from the background, he stared blankly at the direction the voice came from before shrugging, disinterested. “Okay, I honestly don’t know who this woman is, Ren said that she’s also not bad and that she’s famous, that’s all I know. She reminds me of a snow fox, they’re also graceful but they’re sneaky and clever, I seen a few instances where they completely outsmart both their prey and predators, it’s kinda impressive.”

Kureha Koizumi

He gave a hum of realization, “Oh, this is the girl Ren was talking about, his….angel?” He tilted his head. “She doesn’t look like an angel, but then again, I really don’t know what those look like in the first place but Ren really really likes her so I guess she’s good. She reminds me of a cat, they’re kinda shy at first but once you gain their trust they’re extremely loyal and friendly. They’re okay but I’m very much a dog person.” As he said this, he pets Hunter’s ears, the wolf leaning against his owner’s hand and barking happily. “Maybe I can bring her to Ren, it shouldn’t be hard, she looks kinda weak so maybe a blow to the back of the head should do it.”

“Ren said we should be careful when going against this group since they’ve been around longer than us. I don’t get it but okay, I really don’t have much to say for this team, I know they mean a lot to Ren and Kaiji so I’ll follow them and see what I can do to help.”
